Printing from Photoshop Elements

I'm hoping someone out there can answer this question that both Adobe and Epson cannot. In PSE8 I cannot find the paper profiles I have downloaded, but in PSE9 they are exactly where they should be. From the "More Options" print dialog box I choose let PSE control color and none of the Epson or 3rd party profiles are there in PSE8, but are there in PSE9. Why can't PSE 8 find them?
Thanks for any help.

The main question I have is whether or not there is an efficient way to get a rgb images printed.  I have an Imac whose screen is a rgb pattern so even if i convert the images to cmyk (which i can do in a couple different ways -- through indesign or putting the images in photoshop).  however since my sreen is a rgb format i can not acurately see the changes I have made through converting to cmyk.  also i have several hundred images i have created and would rather not have to convert them all before printing.  I have had problems finding a printer that will even attempt to print rgb images.  I have checked at kinkos as well as several print shops in montana where i live.  each time i am told they can  not print rgb. the images I sent to those printers were unusable because of the color distortions.   When I talked with some one in the Apple store they suggested I get a different computer.  It has also been suggested i get a printer that could be calibrated to the rgb format and i could print the images myself.  another suggestion i received was that there may be a calibration program/software that i could use to make the converesion.    Help.  billrene

    Hi
I have a problem with color prints from photoshop elements 12. The pictures are too light and with strange colors. I have a Canon pixma mg615I0 printer and use mac os X yosemite. The pictures are taken with a coanon eos 550d in the color space sRGB. I have followed adobes recommendations and have tried both letting the printer respektive photoshop manage the colors. But nothing works. I see that there are different opinions about which is best to do so I tried both. I have the latest printer driver installed. Can anyone help me with this?

    Do the following:
Print a test page from the printer. Perhaps the print head needs cleaning via its maintenance facility.
Let the printer manage colors, not PSE
    Calibrate the monitor

  • My printer takes forever to print from photoshop elements 9

my printertakes forever to print from photoshop elements 9 then when it prits the crop is wrong, lots of noise or distortion. It only does this in adobe photoshop elements 9.

Yes it is different from what I see in print preview. I have been saving the file and picking it up in windows to print its so much faster and predictable. It takes forever to print from p-e. I read somewhere the printer needs to be calibrated for color but shouldn't have anything to do with crop or printing speed' Thanks

  • Printing from Photoshop Elements 10 - Mac

I have no idea if this is more of a MAC question, a PRINTER question or an ADOBE question....
Background:  I just upgraded to PSE 10 and switched from a PC to a Mac (so learning both).
When printing from PSE 10, I cannot, for the life of me, find how to change my paper type!  I'm used to having that option right from the print dialouge in PSE 9 AND from the PC.  I've searched everywhere....I can't even find a place to do it in my printer settings.
Anyone a Mac and/or Adobe expert that can help me??

It does not seem to concern Photoshop, though, so you might want to check the Photoshop Elements Forum:

  • Epson stylus c88+ will not print from photoshop elements 13

I am using Photoshop Elements 13 to edit some images. I am trying to print on the Epson Stylus c88+ inkjet printer but i am getting an error that the saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements. What do I need to do? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer but it still does not work.

    Try GutenPrint:

You might also benefit from installing Usbtb & the latest Ghostscript & CUPS:

You should find that your HP printers print much faster now since Usbtb is faster than Apple's built-in USB drivers that they ship with Leopard by default.

  • Can't print from Photoshop elements 13 on local printer?

I can't get elements 13 to print, get a message saying it can't open printer, printer is open and prints from other software.

Can you try renaming the %APPDATA%\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\13.0 folder and try printing again?

  • Cannot Print from Photoshop Elements 12 Mac

    Hi,
I have Photoshop Elements 12 Mac (full retail not App Store version).
When I go to the print, the print button does nothing. The same printer and settings work correctly in Aperture. Preview, all my other apps.
Canon MP620 + OSX 10.9.2 + Latest update from Adobe Website.
    Any ideas?
    Phil

Go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements paths
    Adobe Photoshop Elements settings
To see the library, click the Go menu in the Finder and hold down the option key and it will appear below the little house for your user account. While you're in there also go to the Saved Application States folder and delete any for PSE. Repair permissions and try again.
Also be sure you have the latest driver for your printer (check Canon's website). If all else fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver.

  • Printing from Photoshop Element 8 on a R300 printer

    All,
This was a previous posting that did not work for me.  I am experiencing the same problem that this user is having.  I had stop using Element 8 entirely an decided to give it one more try.  I can understand this young lady pain because I am have totally frustrated as well.  I have try all tips that I have found on the web an nothing is working.  If you have any suggest please let me know.  I have included the original posting below.  My photos never look like what I edit on the screen. If I open a photo that has never been touch and I just print it looks great.  I cropped a photo with no other changes an the photo did not come out well.  I tried adobe and epson and got phone run around.  adobe wants me to upgrade to element 9 and I don't want to pay the extra money an still be frustrated. I have own both version 5 and 8 and have not been happy with either one. any suggestions

Help!  I'm really quite useless at all this computer stuff, and my problem is slowly driving me mad!!!  I am trying, unsuccessfully, to print from Elements 8 using an Espon Stylus Photo R300.  However, I dont know what settings to use.  I can get prints - but they dont represent what I see on the monitor.  I have tried using Picasa and the representation on the print isnt too far removed from that on the monitor.  iPhoto is slightly worse.  Can anyone tell me in simple english what settings I need to use - I have seen other discussions on the same topic and think that color management should be done by the Elements 8 and not the printer?  Any help would be very much appreciated - before I lose it all together

Thanks for the help. I figured that out today. exactly what you put in your response.  I was close with all the suggestions given. I had to do a process of elimination.
    Thanks.

  • Why is it so difficult to print from Photoshop Elements 11

I had a terrible time printing from PSE9 so upgraded to 11 (of course 12 came out right after I did this).  Printing is worse than going to the dentist.  It takes up to 10 minutes, sometimes more just to get the print set up the way I want it (size, paper type, etc).  And over half the time the entire system locks up.  I am not extremely computer savvie but right now I would tell anyone who asked to stay as far away from this product as possible.  I also hate the Adobe website.  I find it extremely difficult to find what I need when I am looking for support.

What exactly is the problem? Just using File> Print brings up the following dialog box that provides for most options in drop down boxes. The exceptions are usually if you have to go into Advanced printer settings options because of the need to change a setting in the printer driver itself (and that is more down to the printer manufacturer than anything else).

  • Printing from Photoshop Elements 9 with MAC

There is no drop down menu showing paper sizes 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 when printing photos.  It is a pain to move everything to iPhoto to print these sizes. How do you do it?

You can review here as well. It`s for PSE11 but most of it is applicable for PSE9 as well.  http://blogs.adobe.com/pselements/color-management-settings-for-the-best-print-output/

  • Dark images from Photoshop Elements 11

Printing from Photoshop Elements produces images much darker than the screen. Several hours on the Chat Line have not resulted in a cure. The images from Windows Print and Epson Easy Print are very good. I've re-loaded PSE11 and checked the drivers. Any ideas?

    Three ideas:
In Editor>Edit menu>Color settings, check "Always manage Colors for Computer Screens"
In the printer, check printer to manage colors.
Turn down the brightness of your computer screen, and calibrate same.

  • Problem removing grid lines from prints in PhotoShop Elements 13

I cannot remove faint grid lines from my prints in Photoshop Elements 13, even after I've turned off the grid overlay. How can I get these lines out? I'm desperate as I am writing a book and am stymied at this point. Help!

The grid does not print. There has to be another source for the visible grid lines on your prints. Suggest that you do the following:
Make sure that your ink cartridges have plenty of ink
Do a deep cleaning of your print head
Align the cartridges as per instructions in the printer's manual
    Do a test print

  • Printing problems from Photoshop Elements to Epson XP-800

I cannot print photogrpaic images with my desktop MAC (OS X10.8.4) from Photoshop Elements 9.0 to my new Epson XP-800 printer. Printing is not a problem with  Word text or images from iPhoto- it is only with PSE that there is a problem.  The problem persists even if I try using a cabled connection rather than WiFi.  I have ensured latest software from Epson has been downloaded.  This problem did not occur when using the same system with the previous printer (Epson Photo Stylus 1290).
Any suggestions for solving this rather than just a workaround of moving the edited PSE image back to iPhoto & printing from there (which admittedly does work but shouldn't be necessary).
    Grateful for any help.

  • Printing in Photoshop Elements 10

When printing in Photoshop Elements 10 with 'Centre Image' checked, the printed result is not centred top to bottom, 3.5mm off centre, this causes problems when printing both sides of the sheet 'Tumble-Turn'
The ptinter is a Canon Pixma MG6150. Any Ideas???
    John C,  Essex UK

Are the graphics for each side cropped to the same size prior to sending to the printer, and is the resolution of each the same value?
Have you tried printing from another application?
Do you have the latest drivers installed for the printer?
