Printing from second computer?

Hi there,
I finally got my new Airport Extreme set up, and am able to access the Internet and print wirelessly from my primary computer.
I have a second computer on the network, and can surf the net, but I can't seem to print wirelessly from it, as I can with the primary computer.
Any suggestions?

Wondering if you've had any luck with this problem, as I just set up my new AirPort Extreme this evening and am having the exact same challenge. Both computers connect fine to the internet. My newer iMac is able to print wirelessly, however my 2 1/2 year old eMac will not print. I keep getting a "communication error" message. I've checked all the settings and tried resetting the AirPort and the printer, which is about all that I know how to do. Both computers are running Leopard...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

HP Color Laserjet CP1215 on XP home network will not print from second computer.

Win XP SP3 home network with two computers and one HP Color Laserjet CP1215 printer(USB) that is shared.   Computer one prints just fine, but second computer cannot print.
Print job goes to the queue and says "printing" and stays there for about two minutes and then says "error - printing" and then I have to delete the print job from the print queue.
Downloaded latest CP1215 print driver and installed it to second computer, added printer just fine. No errors until the print job enters the queue. Downloaded the CP1215 Diagnostic Utility, but it will not work on second computer. Have not tried it on first computer when job errors.

The Firewalls are disabled and from my laptop you can view all of the shared
Folders on the Desktop with the CP1215 attached via USB.
When I issue the print from my laptop that is on the same network, you see the
print file show up in the CP1215 print queue of the Desktop the CP1215
is USB attached to and then disappears about 15 seconds later. Here is
how it appears on in the Desktop CP1215 Print Queue before it disappears

I've also download/installed the latest drivers. When I reinstall the CP1215 on my laptop from
the Desktop, the "PRINT TEST PAGE works from the Laptop but then all print commands after
that do not work.
I see from my Google search I'm not the only one having this problem

I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 for two years. I got a new printer and installed it although I did not remove my old printer from my computer. I used this program and my new printer for quite a few months, but today I deleted my old printer

I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 for along time now. When I first used the program I had a different printer than I have now. Although I changed printers I never removed the software from my old one. Now this was never a problem until today. When I choose a printer I still had option to use the old one but always chose my new HP Envy 5530 and Adobe never had a problem printing from that new printer. However today I decided to remove my old printer from my computer and now my Adobe cannot find my new printer. How can I make it find the HP printer?

Hp Photosmart D110 all in one printer--I am totally disgusted with this printer...have had it a few months. It will only get about 160 economy pages per ink cartridge which is ridiculous. So we bought an ink refill kit and just refilled and reinstalled the black ink cartridge. it is printing from the computer just fine but the printer WILL NOT COPY. When I use the tool box and check ink levels it just shows question marks on both ink cartridges.
I spent 45 minutes on HP Chat Support and got no answers except that I need to use genuine HP Cartridges. They could not explain to me why the printer would print but not copy with refilled cartridge.
Any help from any of you regarding the NOT copying and the ink cartridges.....thanks so much

TS2634 I cannot print from my ipad. The wireless is connected, I have no trouble printing from my computer. When the ipad looks for the printer it comes back with the message. "Air printer not found" What can I do to correct this? P S Ipad2 is only 1 mont

I cannot print from my ipad. It is connected to the wireless okay. I have only had this ipad for a month and while I am not sure I think it has been okay to print before 2 days ago, when I tried to print and I got the message "Airprinter not found" Has anyone experienced this and if so what did you do about it? Try rebooting your router. Make sure its firmware is updated.

HP 2050 deskjet all in one -- will scan but won't print from this computer

My deskjet 2050 will scan from both of my macbook computers, but will only print from one. It gives an "on hold" message whenever I print from this computer. Then I hit "resume" and it says "nothing is being held." I have already downloaded and re-installed the driver, and it didn't make any difference.
It prints fine from the other computer, but it's a pain to have that limitation.

I see you're running into print issues. I would like to help with that!
What version of mac are you using?
I would suggest deleting the printer from your print system, using this document: Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once you have deleted it, I would suggest verifying and repairing the disk permissions: About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature.
I would also suggest running your Apple updates: OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps
After the updates, I would recommend reinstalling the HP Deskjet 2050 All-in-One Printer.

Photosmart B010a All In One test print O: K: Does not print from the computer

Egr: Sig. No error message in the control panel is READY, has printed the test. DO NOT print from your computer. HP Computer in 6220 with window 7/64 bit. = tiscali WI Fi network. the printer is connected with the cable to the computer. I also tried with Doctor. How can i choose a lower quality print density when printing from firefox on my Mac. I cant move the slider along the scale ( I can when printing from the computer).

I am having trouble printing from my computer. The printer keeps giving me an error message.

I have an hp officejet 6500A printer, i am having trouble printing from my computer which is an hp windows 7 64-bit to my computer. I keep recieving an error message on the printer stating that the paper size or type does not match. What do I need to do to get my computer to print to my printer?

Hi - A couple of things to try. First, in whatever app you're in, go into File, Print and Printer Properties and set the paper size appropriately. After that, go into Page Setup in whatever app you're in and set the appropriate size in there as well. In many cases, this problem is caused by different sizes being set within the printer driver and the app. If that doesn't work, go back into Printer Properties and try choosing a different paper type (Plain Paper). I've also had that resolve the problem before.

Thanks for clarifying that information.
You would have to restore the printer's defaults and reset up the printer on their network at the new location every time, to be able to print from the clients computer and you would have to connect to their network on your computer and add the printer back in again with the new IPv4 address.
Another way you could do this is through a USB connection or use the Wireless Direct.
You would have to enable the Wireless Direct on the printer through the printer's Embedded Web Server if you didn't select this feature during the installation. This will allow both computers to connect directly to the printer and print, but keep in mind you won't have internet access at the same time. So you can print when connected to the printer's network or connect back to the main network again to access the internet.
Here are the steps for enabling the Wireless Direct through the printer's Embedded Web Server if you decide to go this route. Print a configuration page to get the printer's IPv4 address. Printing a Configuration Page.
Type the IP address into your web browser's address bar. (Internet Explorer)
Then click on the Networking tab, select Wireless Direct Setup on the left side and check the Enable wireless direct printing.
I hope I explained that alright for you. The USB connection would most likely be the easiest way to go.

Photosmart C7280 will not print from one computer on wireless network

C7280 will not print from desktop computer via a home wireless network. It has worked in the past, but ceased recently.
It will print from a laptop on the same network.
I have tried to comply with the procedures on the HP Support and Drivers site, such as the HPHNDU.exe routine and others, but have had no success.
I would appreciate some help. My previous post in May has not had any replies.

Use of hp Photosmart Premium Fax e-All-In-One C410 Series Printer On Second Computer

I have recently purchased new hp Pavilion dv5 laptop and photosmart C410 printer. Have loaded printer software onto computer and it works fine. Both of these are running in a wireless network. I would like to hook a second laptop that is running Vista to the new printer on a wireless basis also. The second laptop needs to print only, don't have to print photos, scan or copy.
Do I need to buy or download software to do this?

Just make sure the new compuuter is in the same network as your printer and install the Vista software either from the cd (if it says Vista on the disk) or download it HERE. And normally it should work fine.

New HP envy 5530 won't print from my computer

I just installed my HP envy 5530 through a wireless connection. It will not print anything from my computer. It shows it is printing but then the printer doesn't do anything. I can print from my andriod phone though. I have tried using the HP print and scan doctor. It says everything is fine. When I try to print a test page it doens't do anything- it will print an internal test page though. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software (I also removed all old HP software)- that didn't help. I also tried turning off my firewalls- also didn't help. Not sure what else to do.
I have windows 8.1 and an acer computer. I have had wireless printers before (HP) and never had a problem.

I would suggest the following:
- Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
- Remove USB cable.
- Reboot PC.
- Download and re-install the software. HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer Drivers . click the next button next to the Operating System type. (Make sure to choose Windows XP), scroll down, and click on Driver - Product Installation Software (1), then click on the blue download button next to HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers to download the driver.
Try this as the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows, is only compatible with Windows 7, and up to Windows 8.1.

I would suggest to power off the PC, then the printer. Unplug the power to your router for 30 seconds, plug the router back in. Then turn back on the printer, then the PC. After that try to Uninstall the Printer Software, and re-install again. HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

My Canon MX860 won't print from my computer

My MX860 will print test pages just fine (all ink cartridges are full) but will not print a document from my computer. I reinstalled the setup disc and trying to have it print from my network.. Can't find the USB cable that came with it. all had been working fine until recently.

I recommend performing 2-3 consecutive deep cleanings to try and resolve the issue. Use the following steps to deep clean the print head:
(1) Press the Menu button.
(2) Press the  or  button to select Settings, then press the OK button.
The Settings screen is displayed.
(3) Press the  or  button to select Maintenance, then press the OK button.
The Maintenance screen is displayed.
(4) Press the  or  button to select Deep cleaning and then press the OK button.
The confirmation screen is displayed.
(5) Press the  or  button to select Yes and then press the OK button.
Print Head Deep Cleaning starts. Do not perform any other operations until Print Head Deep Cleaning finishes. This takes about 1 minute 30 seconds.
If this does not resolve the issue, there is likely an issue with the printer that requires service. In that case, I would recommend using the Contact Us link to get in touch with our support staff who can offer your available service options.
