  • How do I import music to my mac from phone via bluetooth?

I am trying to import music from my brother's mobile phone to my macbook (itunes) via bluetooth connectivity.  I can send one file at a time from his phone but obviously this is very time consuming so am trying to find a shorter method.  When i go to import playlist in itunes, the phone is not recognised in 'my devices'. Any suggestions please?

Bluetooth file transfer is not supported by iOS devices.

  • Cannot send files from phone via bluetooth to iMac

I bought the latest Imac about 2 wks ago and I have had a Mac before,it was my very first computer. I am a seller on Ebay and use Bluetooth to send photos to Computer as my camera is awol. I have been able to pair my Samsung Galaxy Ace and my old Nokia 6210 to the Imac no problem. Its when I go to send a file from either phone that it wont send. The exact words displayed on my phoone are ''Remote device rejected your request''. Both devices are visible but when I click on my phone say the Samsung in the Imac list it has beside it ''not connected''. How do I enable the Bluetooth to accept my Samsung or Nokia as i really need it

Well you must enable bluetooth sharing. To do so, just go to Preferences>Internet & Wireless>Bluetooth>Sharing Setup(at bottom right)>tick mark bluetooth sharing. Thats it and the next time you won't have a problem.
Note: Open padlock or else you won't be able to  make any changes

  • Can't transfer files from Phones via Bluetooth

I've tried two different phones. Both are seen. Both are paired. Both say the connection is lost when I try and send something to the Mac. Didn't have a problem with Lion, but with ML, cannot transfer files. I can see some of the phones contents when I browse the device from the Mac, but what's stopping me from doing it from the phone? Anyone else seeing this? Any ideas?

If the ip addresses are beginning with 169 that means they are self assigned ip addresses.
I suggest you goto each mac and create a new network location.
Then setup one mac as follows
    systempreferences-->network-->show built-in ethernet-->TCP/IP
    configure ipv4 manually
    ip address 10.0.0.1
    subnet 255.255.255.0
on the other mac do the same but make the ip address
    10.0.0.2
    press apply now.
Now when you connect to server use the ip address 10.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.2 respectively.

  • New Iphone App for Spotify missing stereo detail via bluetooth!

I was forced to upgrade recently to the new version of Spotify for my Iphone. I immediately noticed on some songs the guitar stereo track has disappeared on certain tracks. I had listened to these tracks on the previous version and all the guitars could be heard. On the new version I am noticing missing stereo fields on certain tracks and songs via bluetooth, however plays fine on any desktop computer. Running 3.4.0.684. Anyone else having this problem or know a fix?

Here is a song of note where the lead guitar is missing on the app from Iphone via bluetooth, yet plays fine on any desktop computer. Very strange! https://open.spotify.com/track/6UAtUi0bcTadFvfIJQyfj9

  • Help! Trying to print emails w/PDF attachments via bluetooth from 8300 to HP OfficeJet8470

Trying to print emails w/PDF attachments via bluetooth from 8300 to HP OfficeJet8470.
My boss shopped for and picked this phone based on the store staff.  He wants to be able to have our service tech be able to receive work orders via email, in the form of a pdf attachment, and be able to print using the bluetooth enabled HP Office Jet 8470, hardware that was sold to him in another store with the statements that it would work with his application.
Everything I have seen on this site, and the lack of information elsewhere, leads me to question if we have the correct applications/hardware at all...
If so, I need to be able to explain clearly to my boss any options that we have, and why or why not it won't work.
Any ideas at all?  Thanks in advance~    Reagan

Your BlackBerry alone won't connect to a Bluetooth printer. Whoever told him that it would should be questioned.
However, there is an application called BeamSuite, that offers a printing solution specifically for PDF documens that you should explore...
Print Documents to a Bluetooth Enabled Printer
    http://www.slgmobile.com/beamsuite.html
BeamSuite is much more than a document viewer though. You can also print your documents directly from your BlackBerry to any Bluetooth enabled printer. Simply pair your BlackBerry device with the printer and print your documents.
If your printer is not Bluetooth enabled, you can still print your documents to it by connecting a Bluetooth printer adapter to your printer that connects to the printer’s USB port. A key differentiator of our solution is that it allows you to easily and transparently print to over 1500 compatible printers from virtually any BlackBerry device, not just the latest and the most powerful BlackBerry.

  • Sharing the internet from a blackberry via bluetooth?

    Hello,
I am very excited about getting a macbook pro tomorrow! I was wondering, can I share the internet from a blackberry via bluetooth? it is a 8700c blackberry.
also, how are the speakers in the macbook pro? (better than a 12" iBook?)
one last thing, I am switching from a 700MHz eMac with 512MB RAM. How much faster is the Macbook Pro than this eMac?
    Thanks,
    TheMacGuy12

last I read, it was not possible to tether from a blackberry.
I went the route of the motorola Q, and Treo 700p because of this limitation..
    *EDIT*
the $700 bounty to get this working was collected, but the person is charging $50 for the hack

  • Print via bluetooth direct to printer

I have the 8330 BB Curve (my 3rd blackberry) and I am trying to print directly from my bb to a printer via Bluetooth. Now I was in a store and made it work with a multifunction HP printer. I then took home a Canon IP100 portable and got a bluetooth adaptor. Canon, however does not support direct printing, only HP. So I returned it and got a portable HP H470, but the wi-fi version (couldn't get the bluetooth one easily) and tried putting the bluetooth adaptor in it, but cannot get it to print. Any suggestions?

    hello,
it is a HP H470 issue. Contact HP support and ask them if there is a way of using that device with a bluetooth adapter.

  • Can my hp photosmart all-in-one 7200 printer connect to ipad 2 via bluetooth?

I have a hp photosmart all-in-one 7200 printer with a hp blue tooth dongle.  It works well with my cameras, but I cannot get my ipad 2 to recognize the printer.

    Hi,
Printing via Bluetooth from an iPad is not possible due to iOS limitations, as Apple did not include the Bluetooth printing protocol in the iOS.
If your printer is HP Photosmart C7200, you may use the HP ePrint Home & Biz App to print from your iPad through your home network
However for the Officejet 7200 your only option is to look for any available 3rd party printing solution from the App Store.

    Hi Tomiwa,
You cannot print from the iPad to that printer. AirPrint and Bluetooth are completely different.
There may be apps you can buy that will enable using that printer, but that is not an ideal solution.
That particular printer has had many bad reviews, and is unreasonably expensive for its features. Considering that you just bought the printer, as well as its lack of AirPrint, I suggest you return it and buy a printer that supports AirPrint.

  • Borderless printing from Windows 7 64 to a shared printer on XP Pro system.

I recently bought a new dv7 HP laptop with Windows 7 64 bit to replace a Dell laptop running XP.  The XP laptop and other XP systems can print to my HP PSC2410 connected to a XP pro system fine.  The XP systems can print both 8x10, 5x6 or 4x6 borderlessly fine.  However, the new HP laptop with Windows 7 does NOT even have the option of 4x6 or 5x7size paper!  If I connect the printer directly to the win7 system, that works, but when I print to the same printer via the XP pro "shared printer", most of the paper size options go away.
I found a post that shows how to present a 4x6 paper size option to the win7 system which now works, but borderless printing to the 4x6 paper doesn't work.  The 4x6 photos all print with thin white borders.  Please tell me I don't have to replace my PSC2410 printer in order to print from my new windows 7 system (borderlessly) via a network!
