Printing Front-Back
Hello,
I need some help plz:
I'm working on a Form which must be printed Front & back:
- When i have more than one page, i have a good result.
- But when i have just one page, i don't have the page back.
Do you have an idea?
I attached 2 files: the first with the good result, the 2nd with the bad.

I think you have posted this in the wrong forum. PDF Generator ES doesn't generally render XDP into PDF.
You may have better luck in the Output, Forms or Designer forums.

How do I print front and back with two pages per sheet? (OSX Lion)
I can't find a simple solution to my situation...
I'm using Max OSX Lion 10.7.3 and Adobe Reader X 10.1.2.
I want print two PDF pages onto one printed sheet, and I want to print front and back. When I go to the print settings and select two pages per printed sheet, the sample window shows me what I'm looking for. But when I tell it to print odd only or even only, it changes the print selection. Here's what happens...
Let's say I have a PDF document that is 20 pages long. When I tell it to print two PDF pages per sheet, it shows me that the first pages printed will be PDF pages 1 and 2. When I tell it that I want it to print odd pages only, it tells me that the first printed page will contain PDF pages 1 and 3.
In other words, Adobe Reader wants to print the odd PDF pages instead of the odd pages of the printed document (PDF pages 1 and 2, then 5 and 6, then 9 and 10, so on).
So that I'm being clear...
This [ ] is a printed page. The numbers inside the brackets represent the page numbers in the PDF document...
What I want to print is this...
FRONT || BACK
[1,2] || [3,4]
[5,6] || [7,8]
[9,10] || [11,12]
[13,14] || [15,16]
[17,18] || [19,20]
What would end up printing is this...
FRONT || BACK
[1,3] || [2,4]
[5,7] || [6,8]
[9,11] || [10,12]
[13,15] || [14,16]
[17,19] || [18,20]
Aside from telling it exactly which PDF page numbers to print (this would be a taxing job because I'm working with a 273 page document), is there an easy and simple way to print how I'd like?I would suggest to use Adobe Ilustrator. Also I get an error message when I try tp access the sample document.

Are you sure you're talking about printing a PDF for an iPad or iPhone with Adobe Reader. You've just posted in the Adobe Reader for iOS forum, and the reference to "booklet form" suggests you're working on a desktop/laptop using other software.

HP8600 Jams printing front and back when 4 or more pages
System- Windows 8.1 PrinterHP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a. Model N911a Product number CN578A. Firmware version CLP1CN1322CR. Duplexer: Installed. ADF: Installed.
When printing front and back multiple pages of 4 or more pages the printer jams in the flip chamber. Both settings Printing [Front to Back] or [Back to Front] will jam.
I believe this occurred after going to 8.1 from 8.0, however, I am not sure.

I can see from your post you are experiencing jam issues. I would like to help!
I would suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration. You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest reinstalling the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

MERGE TWO SMARTFORMS ON ONE PAGE FRONT & BACK
I have two smartforms FM_NAME2 and FM_NAME and I am able to print on front and back on one page using duplex, But this does not work on HP LaserJet 600 M602. I installed Driver ZHPLJCM1 in SPAD for this printer but cannot get the two smartforms to print front and back instead it prints two pages. This code does work on another printer but need it to work on the HP 600. Below is the code, can anyone offer any ideas on what I need to do? Thanks

All I know about SAP spool and printing ( but I'm by no means expert and may be mistaken) tells me that the result on Xerox is an "accident" that shouldn't be happening ... I'd expect both device types to reset printer to default configuration after printing every form.
What SAP device types are in use - Postscript or PCL? You could try to save the files sent to printer for analysis by enabling "Retain Print file" under Edit->Test tool in SPAD:
and retrieving it in output request:
That may help to understand what's going on and why the difference.

Change print preference back to one side from printing on two sides
We have an HP Officejet 6500 E7 10n-z with the duplexer installed. I have set the printer to print front and back and when I want to print on just one side I can't seem to get the printer back to single side. I go to layout and printer setting preferences and it appears to be set for one side but then it prints on both sides. I'm obviously missing a step. Does anyone have a solution?

Make sure the Two-sided Printing been set to one side both under Control Panel > Printers and under the Preferences settings within the application being used to print.
While changing from the control panel affect the whole system, changing the settings from any application (e.g. word) will remain as configured by the specific application.
Open the document you want to print, then click File > Print.
Clic the Properties / Preferences button within the print dialog, then verify the setting.

Cannot get printer function back from copy function
On several occasions my printer switches to a function other tha "print" and I cannot get the print function back. It seems like it should be a simple task but I have tried everything including turning it off and on. The computer data indicates that the proper printer is chosen. Thanks

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that occasionally you are not able to print from your Windows Vista computer to your HP PSC 2510 Photosmart All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this issue. Now, you indicate in your post that your machine seems to switch functions. This is quite unusual as your printer should only perform the tasks that was asked of it. When you send the print command, your printer should print. When you select Copy on the front panel of your printer, your machine should Copy. When you want to scan and and select the Scan button, your machine should scan. If you're selecting the print button on the computer, but the printer fails to print, this would indicate a potential hardware on the printer or a software/driver issue on the computer, rather than a switch of functions.
To start troubleshooting I am going to have you download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. This Tool will run on your computer and 'fix printing' issues for you. Should any driver, software, or connection conflicts be found than the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool will attempt to resolve those conflicts for you.
Please click here to download the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. Once the website opens select the Download button on the top left. If prompted, please allow the download to Run. Once the download is complete follow the onscreen prompts to 'fix printing'. Once the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool has completed, please test printing again.
Should the issue persist, please let me know if you ever get any error messages either on the computer or on the printer when you try to print and it fails.

Canon Pixma ip 4500 front/back issue?
Hello to everybody
Im just new in this community and in the Apple wordl, besides I'm italian so plese forgiveme both for my inexperience and for my english.
In the PC environment the pixma driver showed the possibility of automatic front/back printing selecting the drawer, now in the cups driver from Canon
I cannot fin this option. I do not have handly the version I've downloaded, but seemed to be the last release (september 2011). Anybody else had the same problem? I like very much this printer both for the quality and versatility.

GianI don't have this printer but the Canon site says this is the latest driver:

And within the manual there is this (click image to enlarge) which says be sure to click the Paper Feed Switch in order to see the ? mark for help with duplex printing. Another page says manual duplex printing is not available for Macs, so it has to be automatic. Hope this makes sense. -
Applescript - ID - CS3 or CS4 - create array containing front/back order of objects?

I'm looking for ideas of how to do this: create a layer for each object in the document, then move each object onto it's own layer — and preserve front/back arrangment. In other words, 10 objects = 10 layers, without changing stacking order.
So far I've got it creating unique layers and moving objects onto each. . .but i'm looking for the most efficient way to have it handle the original stacking order.
I suppose i can start learning how to build an array, then re-order it by index (which i understand indicates front/back), and then create layers following that order? If that's the best way, I'd LOVE some direction on how to code that. Or, if there a more elegant solution?

CS3 is ideal but can use CS4 if necessary (or CS5 if there's some killer function in there)It's a vertical imposition script. Items from the top half of each page are moved to a different page (using a temp page as a staging area), then pages are reshuffled. Here is the script:

LV8.0 Auto-print front panel doesn't work
On the front panel in VI Properties/Print Options the 'Automatically print front panel every time VI completes execution' is cleared when you exit the VI Properties dialog and return to it. Consequently, you can't get the front panel to print by checking this option.

You're absolutely right. That functionality is faulty. A work around may be to use the operate>>print at completion function. FYI: if you enable this property, the VI Properties/Print Options the 'Automatically print front panel every time VI completes execution' turns black. R&D is aware of both of these problems. Problem printing front panels from LabVIEW 5.1 using a different O.S.
I have an excecutable that was developed using LabVIEW 5.1 on a Windows NT OS platform. I am attempting to run this executable on a PC using Windows XP. Everything appears to be running just fine until I attempt to run a portion of the program that executes a "print front panel upon execution" function that prints out a table, created from a sub vi running in the code. The print command executes, however, the font sizes that are generated on the hardcopy are not what I had originally intended them to be. Also, sometimes the page breaks are in the wrong place, thus making my printouts quite illegible. I ran the same executable on a workstation running Win2000, using the exact same printer, and everythin

You could be seeing an incompatability between version 5.1 and XP

Printing front panel of VI - no borders appear around the indicator box values
Dear readers,
I am using Labview 6.1 on a pentium PC with adequate memory etc. I've been trying to print out the front panel of my VI using a postscript printer and the post script printing options available in the Labview. I notice that the printed front panel doesn't show the rectangular borders that is supposed to surround the values contained in indicators and controls.
Apart from this problem, everything looks good, such as it prints out in the way that I want...with nice white background to not waste ink.
Could someone please advise me on what options to set up in order to print the borders around the indicator box values? Thanks very much for any help.
I noticed that for
an older Labview for the apple Mac, namely Labview 4 for the Mac, you can just print the window of the front panel and everything comes out wonderful....you get the borders around the indicator and control box values.

Thanks for replying to my post. Greatly appreciated. Is it possible to set the colours for the indicator edges? I'll attach a screen capture of my front panel, and also a digi-pic of the print out. The printout is ok except there's no borders around the indicator values. I printed it out on a hp laserjet 6MP printer as well as on a hp 4050 printer and the printed panels have no borders around the values. I'll attach my front panel vi too. Thanks a lot Mike.

Why does the option to print front to back only appear randomly?
Have only seen the option to print back to front offered once or twice - why isn't it always there?
Please read this post then provide some details. What printer model? What operating system?
What are your settings for paper type? Duplex printing is not compatible with photo paper, transparency media or when printing full bleed (edge to edge).
What program are you printing from? Some programs remember their own printer settings regardless of default settings in the system.
