Printing images from keynote resolution is terrible

When I export a keynote file to powerpoint that has print/imagery jpegs and print it the resolution is horrible. What can I do to get a better leave behind. We only convert to powerpoint because the user has a PC.

I have been successfully printing images from CS3 on an Epson 3880. Now that I have had to upgrade to CS6, I have a big problem. In CS3 When I went Print-> Photoshop Manages Colors to choose an ICC color profile, there would be a companion Output box, where I could drag the Transfer slider down to brighten the image. I can't find Output in CS6! Since choosing Photoshop Manages Colors turns off the printer's color etc controls, I'm stuck with dark prints and no way to control brightness. How to get Safari printing images in proper resolution?

I have problems printing high resolution images from a web page.
Example: When printing a 300 dpi image that measures 5 x 6 inches Safari rescales this image to a resolution of about 282 dpi which results in a slightly larger image. The web page contains CSS definitions with the correct image size. It is suspicious that the printed images always seem to be rescaled by 6.348%. I tried different CSS definitions and page structures with the same result.
When the CSS definition for the image size is increased by 6.348% the resolution and image size fits the original values and dimensions.
What about this magical 6.348%?
The problem is verified on 10.4.11 and 10.5 with Safari 3.0.1 on different machines with all kind of images in every resolution you can think of, with different printer drivers (but I do not think this is relevant) - all images are rescaled by this magic factor. I tried all kind of printer settings, took a look at the Library plists related to printing ... Please help me.
It is weird that Safari offers ICC support for color proof matches but is not able to print an image with its correct resolution/dimensions. Firefox for example does not touch the image resolution, why the heck Safari does?

Website builders are using maximum 75 DPI images. These are to small i quality for other use when you are looking for quality images. The reason for using images in small size like 75 DPI is to prevent that the website is getting to big in size, an for using them on the internet they are good enough for best viewing.
QuickTimeKirk is right to get better images from a website. If the developer is NOT offering a downloadble better quality you have to do it with the on they offer.

Page Layout when Printing slides from Keynote

I don't often print my Keynote presentations, but I would like to be able to print FOUR slides on one sheet (landscape format) with one slide in each quadrant or corner. All I can select --as far as I can tell-- is a single column with all 4 slides minutely scaled down the page. The slides are far toooooooo small to read. CAN I CHANGE THE LAYOUT FOR PRINTING SO THAT HAVE 2 COLUMNS OF 2 SLIDES EACH? Many thanks for your suggestions!

When I do Print > Handouts > 4 slides per page, it puts the slides stacked on top of one another (ie 1 column of slides, 4 rows). I assume you would want to have 2 columns of slides and two rows. I don't know how to do this in Keynote, but if you are in Keynote, just do a File > Export > PDF. If you are printing in color, I'd select Image Quality > Best. Once you have the PDF of the presentation, open it with Preview. From Preview, do a File > Print. When the Print "window" comes up, you select your landscape orientation. At the bottom of the window, you will see a dropdown option that says "Images per page" and select 4. This should do the trick.
Be careful when you do the export from Keynote to PDF. There are a lot of options to include or exclude page numbers, builds, etc. in the PDF.

How do I print images from Aperture to the Canon MG6150?

I have recently installed (i think correctly) a Canon MG6150 printer on my iMac but am having difficulty making it work correctly when photo printing (the wireless connection seems OK). When printing from Aperture I can cause a print to be made but the printer prints very quickly and the colour balance is incorrect (it's too pale and not saturated). I think maybe this is due to the wrong paper selection but i can find no way via the Aperture menu of selecting the paper type being used. According to my 1:1 trainer i should see a "Quality and Media" sub menu in Aperture when i print and from there i can select paper type etc. However this "Quality and Media" sub menu is not present on my machine when printing from Aperture. As an alternative i've tried printing from the Canon Easy Photo Print EX utility but each time i try this i have to go through a lengthy process of identifying my region and country before reaching the select images screen. Once there i am unable to find my Aperture files and hence cannot select any images, nor go onto the next stage which seems to be selecting the paper type. All this would be very arduous to use (lots of keystrokes) - am i missiing something?
Also when installing my Canon software from the supplied disc i was referred to the Canon website which said that there were driver updates coming along to sort out some bugs associated with Lion OS (which i'm using). As i understand it these new drivers are not available until sometime during October and hence i haven't been able to download any as yet.
Any help greatfully appreciated as i'm fast running out of hair. Thanks a lot.

Firefox 5 with Fedora 15 prints text, but will not print images from web pages.

I have a Pentium 3 laptop running Fedora 15 and using Firefox 5.0. Firefox will print the text from a website, but will not print the images. It just leaves the spaces blank where the images should be. Print preview shows the same results. I have a AMD desktop and a Pentium 4 laptop running the same software, except that the desktop is running the 64-bit version of Fedora 15 and the second laptop is running the 32-bit version. The desktop prints the text and images without very many problems, but both laptops will print the text, but ''not'' the images.
As a test, I downgraded Firefox from version 5.0 to 4.0.1 on the Pentium 4 laptop and encountered the same problem. So, since I do not print much from either laptop, I had not before seen this problem. The desktop has never seen it.
I figure it may be an about:config problem, but I do not know what the parameter may be that is causing the problem.

Open your video in the QT X player
Locate the frame you wish to print
Use the "Command-C" keyboard shortcut to copy the image to the system "clipboard"
Open the Preview app
Select the "New from Clipboard" ("Command-N") File menu option to copy the clipboard video image to the Preview window
Select the "Print" File menu option to print the image

Reverse & Print Image from iPhoto?

How do I reverse/flip an image and print it from iPhoto?
I tried another way as well....I have been able to save to desktop from iphoto....view in Preview & flip that image using Preview Tools, but I am unable to print the reversed image from Preview.
So, the ultimately question remains...*Can you reverse an image in iPhoto and print it?*

Below is the thread you suggested that I follow. I was able to set Preview as the external editor, flip the image and save it to iPhoto. The image is now correct when I view it from iPhoto. However, when I try to print the edited image, which is still under the preview option, it pulls the original image from iPhoto.

"The easiest way to do this is in the Tools menu in Preview. You can set Preview as an external editor, or use an image editor for the job.
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.
Note that iPhoto sends a copy+ of the file to Photoshop, so when you save be sure to use the Save command, not Save As... If you use Save As then you're creating a new file and iPhoto has no way of knowing about this new file. iPhoto is preserving your original anyway."

Create Quad Print Image from 4 image files

Many print programs facilitate a layout of 4 pictures (my preference - others available) in one image to print. How would I go about creating a single image that contains 4 pictures or files in a single jpg file? can it be done? This is not a question about print. It is about creating a single file from 4 seperate files (images).

1. Open new, blank file. For example: Size 8x10, resolution 300 px/in, color RGB, background - white.
2. Resolution for printing should be 240-300 px/in for good result. It is desirable that resolution of the component pictures be about the same. Check in Image>resize>image size.
3. Copy/paste each picture to the background set up in step #1. Each picture will be on its own layer
4. Use move tool to position the pictures, and to resize with the corner handles while holding down the shift key.

How do you print 3,6, or 9 slides to a page from iPad Keynote to use as a handout?

If you want one full slide per page, print "Individual slides". For a nice layout of multiple slides without notes lines, choose "Individual Slides" and change the Layout/Pages per sheet to 6 (or whatever) per page. Then you don't waste any space on notes lines. It still will show in the preview that you are printing one slide/page but when I tried it, it printed 6 slides/page without being crammed into the corner of the page.

Dave Saunders wrote tow of them that work quite well for simple two-up, no bleed files. The first is at http://pdsassoc.com/downloads/Buildbooklet.zip and as far as I( know still works as recently as CS6, but cannot handle crossovers at the spine. For those you can try Dave's CS3 Booklet Script
The first script shuffles the pages in a new file, and you need to export with the Spreads box checked when you are done. The scond works by placing the original pages into a new file with pages wide enough to hold two of the originals, so you export that with Spreads unchecked.

Major Issues with printing Images from applet

The Project Goal is simple, all i need to do is to connect to Access Database, and get all the information onto the applet in an arranged format and display it on the webpage. Now here is the deal... The applet will only be used on a single local machine, (Why Applet?? because i need to print the report... applet viewer will also do). I am able to make the connection to the database from the applet viewer, but fail miserably if i try to do it from Internet Explorer. So i gave up on the IE. The major problem is, on applet i have a ImageViewer (I am using "symantec.itools.multimedia.ImageViewer", if you have an alternative that works then please lemme know). I have a method that sets diffrent Images in the Imageviewer, depending upon what record is being dispalyed. In otherwords, every record has an image associated to it. and i want to display the Image with the data.
Now when i run the applet in appletviewer, it works perfect, BUT.... when i go to print it (using the print in the appletviewer's menu), It print everything EXCEPT the Image..... The Image happens to the main peice of Information, so rest of the code is worthless unless the image is displayed...
Please help me with this project. I have failed many times trying to print it. If you need the code please email me @ [email protected] i will send the code to you, with a sample database.
