Printing in iphoto with titles- where is the export command?

I am tring to print from iphoto WITH file names but there is no export to web page command that i can find. Did they change the name or something? I looked under file menu and everywhere else (or so i thought)
I have the newest version of iphoto.
hmmm
any other suggestions, the screen capture method looks great but i have too many files for this (hundreds of photos.. actually 2 thousand...)
any other suggestions?
thank you. I am new to iphoto and find it can be good but also can be a bit of a pain.

There is no option to print contact sheets with file names. I have developed a method to achieve something similar. FWIW here it is:
Creating Contact Sheet with Titles
1 - Put the files you want to print in an album and arrange in the order you'd like.
2 - Go to the File->Export->Web Page menu option.
3 - While in the Web page window, select the number of thumbnails you'd like across each page (iPhoto will keep you informed on how many pages it will take).
4 - Click on Show Title under thumbnails and click on Export. Then select the location where you'd like the resulting files to be saved (create a temporary folder to contain them).
5 - Once saved, go the folder and open the index.html file with your browser. You will get a page with your thumbnails and titles beneath them.
6 - Print that browser page and you've got your contact sheet with file names (or comments if desired).
If you want more control over the thumbnail gallery, try using BetterHTMLExport, CustomHTMLExport or Galerie

Are you trying to print from iPhoto on your Mac or iPad/iPhone? If you are trying to print form yor Mac, check, if the Print Products Store in the iPhoto Preferences > Advanced is set to U.K.
Also the bimmling address, Delivery address, the country for your AppleID and Credit Card must all be in the same country. Check this document:

  • Where is the "export to audio to movie" command in logic pro 9

Where is the "export audio to movie " option found in logic pro 9? I am using an MacBook Pro comp. Thks

Not available in Logic when running in 64-bit mode.. it's actaully a function of Quicktime that Apple has never addressed. You should see it when Logic is booted in 32-bit mode.

  • Could not complete the export command because of an application error

Every once in awhile I get the error, "Could not complete the export command because of an application error" when using the Save for Web option. It's really confusing because the error is not consistent. I don't get it all the time. In fact, 99% of the time I can save with no problems. When I quit Photoshop and reopen my files they seem to save just fine. Does anyone know why this happens, and how to prevent it from happening in the future?
    Here are my specs:
    Macintosh: iMac
    OS: 10.6.8
    Photoshop: CS3 (v10.0.1)
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

No idea about the specific issue, but I like to pass on some general advice I have received myself here over time:
    Boilerplate-text:
Are Photoshop and OS fully updated?
As with all unexplainable Photoshop-problems you might try trashing the prefs (after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed) by pressing command-alt-shift on starting the program or starting from a new user-account.
System Maintenance (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, running cron-scripts, cleaning caches, etc.) might also be beneficial, Onyx has been recommended for such tasks.
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/onyx.html
Weeding out bad fonts never seems to be a bad idea, either. (Validate your fonts in Font Book and remove the bad ones.)
If 3rd party plug-ins are installed try disabling them to verify if one of those may be responsible for the problem.

  • Export to PDF - Can a single report (rpt file) create multiple PDF files using the export command?

    Post Author: markeyjd2
    CA Forum: Exporting
    Greetings forum members,
My question is, in its entirety: Can a single report (rpt file) create multiple PDF files using the export command, ideally one PDF file per DB record?
In my case; I have a Crystal Report that reads data from a DB table containing ~ 500 records.  When I export the report to a PDF file, I get one PDF file, with ~ 500 pages.
What I would like to do is export the report to ~ 500 individual PDF files; One file per DB record.  The file names would be based on the table's primary key.
    Is this possible?

    Hi,
you need some lines of code, but its easy. Dependend on how to start the generation of your 500 PDFs, you can write an ASP page and start it via Web Browser, or a Windows Script and start it via scheduled job...
Here's an abstract of the ASP code I use:
First, you create a recordset (here: "rsc") which gives you the list of ID fields you want to export, then you create CrystalRuntime.Application object, then you loop through the recordset, open your report (here: "oRpt") and set login info. Then set the selectionformula, so that the report displays only the data of the current ID, e.g.:
      oRpt.RecordSelectionFormula = "(" & oRpt.RecordSelectionFormula & ") AND {myTab.myVal}=" & rsc("myVal")
Then you export the report, move to the next record in recordset, and repeat the loop until recordset.EOF. Then you close recordset and connection.

  • Could not complete the export command because the file could not be found

When I try to save for web, Photoshop pops up a dialog box that says "could not complete the export command because the file could not be found".
What is the solution for this?

Please provide more information (Photoshop version, OS, target volume, …).
Does the file’s or one of the folders’ name contain problematic letters (slash etc.)?

Are Photoshop and OS fully updated and have you performed the usual trouble-shooting routines (trashing prefs by keeping command-alt-shift/ctrl-alt-shift pressed while starting Photoshop after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed, 3rd party plug-ins deactivation, system maintenance, cleaning caches, font validation, etc.)?

  • TERMinal In Association WITH ITUNes** Where Are The Answers CAPTAIN CORK&&&

    PLEASE HELP CAP
Im wondering if anyone can help me. I recently got a reply to a post that I wrote about deleting duplicated files. Mainly MP3s. I have not done this method yet though. Does it work? I have around 9000 mp3s that Itunes seems to always duplicate and I need to get rid of them. Can I open one of my ex-Harddrives that pretty much hold mp3s and run this command? Im looking for a completely faster method than individually deleting them in Itunes. One last question too. Where do I type this command? If anyone can help me Id greatly appreciate it. The reply is below my name

If none of the original filenames contains the lettering " copy", you can do what you want quite easily.
Open Terminal, navigate to the folder that contains the files, and enter the following command (exactly as it appears here):
    rm *" copy"*
That's all there is to it. All 9000 duplicate files will be removed very quickly.
If you need help "navigating to the folder" or if some of your original filenames contain the lettering “ copy”, then post back here.

For starters, titling your post with something as inane as that will only get you inane answers.
You say that iTunes duplicated your song files, so the reply given by the advice is erroneous. If the files were duplicated by Finder the advice would be halfway valid, since it would only work for one folder. Ouch
There are 2 kinds of duplicates:
    1) If you have iTunes set to "Keep music folder organized" and also "Copy song files when adding to library". Right? If so, iTunes will copy all your song files to a folder named after the artist and album in the song file's data fields. Problem is, iTunes will not delete the originals, that may be why you have 9000 songs you don't want. I typically see thousands of duplicated and unwanted song files clogging people's Macs, which is stupid.
    2) Files actually duplicated twice or more in iTunes, This happens if you add the song twice or more, or different songs have duplicate names.
Type 2 is easy to delete. Open a Finder window and press cmd-f for "Find". A special window will open. Make sure the button "Home" is selected. For "Kind" select "Music". In the field in the upper right, type "1.m" (without the quotes). iTunes renames duplicate files with a number according to the number of duplicates, so this way you can check 1,2,3,4 or any number of suspected duplicates and drag them to the trash. In a Find window, you can select all, or bulk by using command and/or shift-up/down keys.
So try that and see how many you delete. If you have many after that I will answer the kind of duplicate #1.

  • How to share iphoto with two users in the same imac maverick

I can´t find the way to share iphoto/itunes with two users in the same imac with maverick software

In conclusion, the new software is worse than the old one, really?  Because in my old mac I could share easily without copy with an external USB
It's not iPhoto that dropped the ball but the system.  I believe it was Mavericks that broke the Shared folder compatibility for iPhoto, not iPhoto itself.
Also having the library on an external HD is a good way of freeing up space on the boot drive to assure optional system and application performance.

  • When printing on photopaper with HP PSC 1510, the top part of the print does not print.

When I try to print on photopaper with PSC 1510, it does not print the top part of the print - the paper seems to get feeded well. It looks like it somehow moves the printing area 10 cm higher on the document, so the pictures are cut in the middle and the top part is not printed. This varies - printing using the Windows image preview didn't cut off as much as Open Office's Writer.

As long as your cartriges are full, put a photo on you desktop, highlight it , click COMMAND P and the print preferences window should drop down, and select your printer and photo paper.

  • Free Wifi with bundle, where is the "key" in my account page?

I had this installed with my 'so called  3way-bundle' on October 17-18, 2010, forgot exactly which date, I went into the hospital  for Cardiac Cath  on the 19th, so excuse the blurr..hehe, anyway, I think it was the 18th.
I had called earler to get the key numbers for wifi, but they did not work from my home, I live too far away from a strong connection, and I was not about to run to Starbucks just to get my new laptop running.. Anyway, the Gentleman who installed my wireless router to my laptop, at home, gave me the KEY numbers so that my children, when they came to visit me, after the procedure, and help me out for the week, could use their own laptops in my home, utilizing MY wireless connection, so that they could continue working at their jobs, retrieving emails, etc. When they left, I must have accidentally thrown away the written key numbers.
    Nonetheless, they are gone.
I log in HERE. Guess what? No wifi number keys ANYWHERE. It even says I have to register. OK. so, I register. Still, no key numbers on my account page anywhere to be found.
This is a simple thing. why can't I find it. I try getting into the support box chat. I can't read the text drop down box. It's too tiny to read the text in the menu options. I'm not an idiot, I'm a registered NURSE. I'm 57, amd my eyes are 20/20 when I drive. This is ridiculous, Where are the F... key numbers for my wifi that I supposedly paid for with my bundle?

I assume you are talking about having the ability to connect to the wireless in your home.  If that is the case you need to look at the bottom or side of the Router that Verizon installed.  There will be a sticker that says SSID and wep key.  The SSID is the wireless you will connect to with your laptop.  The wep key is the password you will enter into your laptop when you double click the SSID.
I hope this is what you are looking for.

  • I created a new iPhoto Library. Where is the old one?

I created a new library. Fine. But what happened to my old one that has a bunch of photos in it?

Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down, click on Choose Library, and navigate to it. It should still be in the original location, which is the Pictures folder of your home folder by default.

  • If you sync with iCloud, where does the file go

Some of my music is in iCloud.
If i right click one of those tracks and 'get info' under 'where' it says it is in iCloud.
I had all of my music on the laptop HDD, but where is it now?
My understanding was that iCloud was a sync of what in my itunes is available in the cloud, so nothing was uploaded, so where is the original file?

If you're a former Windows user, there many resources on Apple's web site to get yourself familiar with how Macs and OS X work.
Here ard a few areas to spend time with
    http://www.apple.com/support/macbasics/
    http://www.apple.com/support/imac/intel/
    http://support.apple.com/videos/
    http://www.apple.com/support/osx/
For the video tutorials, in the video search box, just type in OS X. You'll get a list of OS X video tutorials to watch  as you learn to use your iMac.
Start with the Anatomy of a Mac video first, Then the Finder Basics video second. After you have watched and put to use these two videos, you can watch any other OS X video you want in any order.
