Printing in Photoshop Elements 12

Using the trial version to see if it is going to work for us.
We print passport pictures 2x2 size and I think I've got it except I can't print two pictures on my 4x6 paper.
Is this a capability?
Thank you

I think you need to post a screenshot of what your composite image looks like, but try this:
Start with ONLY your source 2x2 image open
In your source 2x2 image press Ctrl-A (select all) followed by Ctrl-C (copy)
Close the source image
Create a new image 6" x 4" (File> New> Blank File)
With the new image selected press Ctrl-V (paste) several times. For however many times you pressed Ctrl-V you should have that many layers (+background) in your 6"x4".
Click on one of the Layers
Click on the Move tool
You should now be able to drag that image around.
Click on one of the other layers and move the image around
Repeat the layer selection and moving the images until you have a layout you like.
Press Ctrl-P (Print)
You should now see a preview of the composite image
If you don't then as I said at the start I need to see a screenshot of your composite image, including the layers panel and a screenshot of the Print dialog. Note that you cannot attach images to email responses to the forum, you must use a web browser and click the camera icon when composing your reply.
Cheers,

    Hi
I have a problem with color prints from photoshop elements 12. The pictures are too light and with strange colors. I have a Canon pixma mg615I0 printer and use mac os X yosemite. The pictures are taken with a coanon eos 550d in the color space sRGB. I have followed adobes recommendations and have tried both letting the printer respektive photoshop manage the colors. But nothing works. I see that there are different opinions about which is best to do so I tried both. I have the latest printer driver installed. Can anyone help me with this?

    Do the following:
Print a test page from the printer. Perhaps the print head needs cleaning via its maintenance facility.
Let the printer manage colors, not PSE
    Calibrate the monitor

  • Problem removing grid lines from prints in PhotoShop Elements 13

I cannot remove faint grid lines from my prints in Photoshop Elements 13, even after I've turned off the grid overlay. How can I get these lines out? I'm desperate as I am writing a book and am stymied at this point. Help!

The grid does not print. There has to be another source for the visible grid lines on your prints. Suggest that you do the following:
Make sure that your ink cartridges have plenty of ink
Do a deep cleaning of your print head
Align the cartridges as per instructions in the printer's manual
    Do a test print

  • Where can i download & print the photoshop elements 12 manual

where can i download & print the photoshop elements 12?

Moving this discussion to the Photoshop Elements forum.
JaxsWawa I don't believe there is printable manual available for Photoshop Elements 12.  Instead the help content is primarily available via help files.  The Users in the Photoshop Elements forum though may have additional suggestions on resources which you can obtain.
There is also several getting started tutorials available at http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/topics/getting-started-tutorials.html.

  • My printer takes forever to print from photoshop elements 9

my printertakes forever to print from photoshop elements 9 then when it prits the crop is wrong, lots of noise or distortion. It only does this in adobe photoshop elements 9.

Yes it is different from what I see in print preview. I have been saving the file and picking it up in windows to print its so much faster and predictable. It takes forever to print from p-e. I read somewhere the printer needs to be calibrated for color but shouldn't have anything to do with crop or printing speed' Thanks

  • Printing in Photoshop Elements 8

I just upgraded from photoshop elements 6 to elements 8.  I want to print a single picture in the top left hand corner of my 8 1/2 x 11 inch s
heet.  In elements 6 when you printed there was a position setting where you could uncheck "center image" so that you could move it
aroung the sheet to any position for printing.   How can I free the image in elements 8 so that it is not locked in the center of th
e page and I can move it around to another printing position?
    Browser: Microsoft IE
    Operating System: Windows XP Home
Printer model / driver version: Epson r300

You can try printing in organizer. You need to uncheck the option of One Photo Per Page in the More Options. You cannot place your image over the paper, but in this case the organizer will place your image at the top left corner. Please see if this works for you, otherwise you need to follow the other way as suggested by Barbara.

  • Color Management for Epson printer using Photoshop Elements 6

I have consistently dark prints when using my new Epson workhorse 1100. It prints fine from iPhoto but not from Photoshop Elements 6. The Epson people say it's an Adobe problem. The Adobe people won't help, as it's not under warranty. I am interested in settings in PSE6 or on my Mac OSX. Or, what's a profile and how do I set it? Thanks!!

Yes, I've tried all of the options: Printer manages color, PSE manages color. All are the same dark prints.
On another conversation on this forum, I read the following. Very discouraging to think that Adobe knows of this problem but won't give me any tech support because too much time has lapsed.
I don't know what "plugs" are--sounds like this user figured out a way around it.
    Any advice?
    Thanks!

Re: Color mismatch EpsonR800 and Elements 6
Adobe has admitted that there is a color management issue with PSE 6 for Mac. I have an Epson R1900 and I am now getting acceptable color-managed prints by allowing the Epson Printer driver to manage color management (ie; color management in PSE 6 turned off). The Epson Photoshop Plug In also works well with PSE6 and ICC profiles; however, I have yet to solve 2 problems with this particular plug in: (1) How to get the program to capture 3rd party ICC profiles and (2) how to print borderless prints. If anyone has seen a user guide for this particular plug in, I would be grateful to know how to download it.

  • Printing from photoshop elements 6 for mac

I have an i-mac and use photoshop elements 6.  I have created hundreds of images but when i have contacted printers to print cards i created from these images using indesign i have been told by many printers that there is an issue regarding RGB vs CMYK .  Where and how can i get my RGB images printed for a reasonable price.  billrene

The main question I have is whether or not there is an efficient way to get a rgb images printed.  I have an Imac whose screen is a rgb pattern so even if i convert the images to cmyk (which i can do in a couple different ways -- through indesign or putting the images in photoshop).  however since my sreen is a rgb format i can not acurately see the changes I have made through converting to cmyk.  also i have several hundred images i have created and would rather not have to convert them all before printing.  I have had problems finding a printer that will even attempt to print rgb images.  I have checked at kinkos as well as several print shops in montana where i live.  each time i am told they can  not print rgb. the images I sent to those printers were unusable because of the color distortions.   When I talked with some one in the Apple store they suggested I get a different computer.  It has also been suggested i get a printer that could be calibrated to the rgb format and i could print the images myself.  another suggestion i received was that there may be a calibration program/software that i could use to make the converesion.    Help.  billrene

  • Making prints with photoshop elements

I have Photoshop Elements 7 & 11, each on a different computer.  When I go to make prints on my Epson 2400 from either program,  my prints come out substantially darker than they appears on the monitors.  What I doing wrong or... not doing ? BTW,  I do use ICC's and let photoshop handle the color management.  Any thoughts???
    Thanks,
    Amos

Suggest that you calibrate your monitor. Most likely, it is too bright.

  • Any idea why I can't print using Photoshop Elements 13 and an HP Color Laser Jet printer?

Windows 7 with Photoshop Elements 13 - Recently purchased Elements 13 and haven't been able to print!  I have an HP Color Laser Jet CMI1312nfi MFP and printed fine last year with a trial version of Elements 12.  I keep getting errors saying "the saved print information is an incompatible version.  It has been set to default values" as well as "default printer could not be opened."  I downloaded an update to the driver for the printer today but still no luck.   Any other ideas?

I ended up reinstalling the drivers for the Canon from the original CD and that took care of it. Normally I can just copy the PPDs for our particular printers to the PPD folder in the Library/Printers/PPDs folder and it works fine, but for some reason this machine decided it needed everything reinstalled. It's working now.

  • Printing from Photoshop Elements 10 - Mac

I have no idea if this is more of a MAC question, a PRINTER question or an ADOBE question....
Background:  I just upgraded to PSE 10 and switched from a PC to a Mac (so learning both).
When printing from PSE 10, I cannot, for the life of me, find how to change my paper type!  I'm used to having that option right from the print dialouge in PSE 9 AND from the PC.  I've searched everywhere....I can't even find a place to do it in my printer settings.
Anyone a Mac and/or Adobe expert that can help me??

It does not seem to concern Photoshop, though, so you might want to check the Photoshop Elements Forum:

  • Cannot Print from Photoshop Elements 12 Mac

    Hi,
I have Photoshop Elements 12 Mac (full retail not App Store version).
When I go to the print, the print button does nothing. The same printer and settings work correctly in Aperture. Preview, all my other apps.
Canon MP620 + OSX 10.9.2 + Latest update from Adobe Website.
    Any ideas?
    Phil

Go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements paths
    Adobe Photoshop Elements settings
To see the library, click the Go menu in the Finder and hold down the option key and it will appear below the little house for your user account. While you're in there also go to the Saved Application States folder and delete any for PSE. Repair permissions and try again.
Also be sure you have the latest driver for your printer (check Canon's website). If all else fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver.
