Printing in Pink

I am using acrobat pro 9.0 to print purchase requisitions. This is normally done on paper and carbon so we have a white copy and a pink copy.
We archive the pink copy. Currently i have to go to preferences,accessibilty,document colors to change the background.
I want to know if i can setup another driver or some faster way to print to pdf with a pink background when the original has a white background.
Is this possible? It would be a huge time saver.

If you have a printer with two feed trays you could simply use pink paper. Or you could just add pink paper to the current tray. Using pink paper would also save a lot of $$ on printer ink/toner.

So, if I understand correctly, both the old color cartridge and the new color cartridge have the same printing problem - it only prints pink (magenta). If this is the case then you might try and clean the color cartridge electrical contacts in the printer. Please reference the section on Cleaning the electrical contacts inside the carriage assembly .
If the old color cartridge and the new color cartridge behaved differently, you might try the soaking method described in the previous reply (note that while the discussion was on the black cartridge, it also applies to color).
And be sure the cartridge is fully seated.

My Canon MG8120 is printing in pink scale

My printer was working fine. In the middle of printing out a large photo it started printing in pink scale. When i printed out the test sheet the cyan color did not print. I removed the full cyan cartridge, swabbed the head with a q tip and replaced the catridge...still no change. Help!

my 3210 will not print in pink/magenta. photos and other pictures print in green tones. i've seen posts clear back from 2011 with no replies or solutions. if this is hp's definition of product support, i will be sure to choose a different manufacturer when purchasing my next printer ... which will be SOON.

Photosmart 3210 won't print any pink/red colors

Suddenly for no apparent reason, my Photosmart 3210 All-In-One just stopped printing with either the light or dark pink ink. I purchased brand new HP ink cartridges but no luck. The other colors are all working just fine.

OK now this is weird My Photosmart 8250 is doing the same thing. Photos have a greenish color to them no red. I created a jpeg with a Red bar, a Green bar and a Blue bar saved it to a usb drive. Plugged the usb drive in the printer. The blue and green bar are fine, but the red bar prints as yellow.
Printing from the usb drive eliminates any and all driver issues. The print test and head cleaning all are fine. I followed HP procedure to reset the printe Replaced all ink cartridges. Nothing has helped.

Photosmart D110 not printing pink

My pritner hasn't been printing the pink colors. I went through the diagnostics on HP Print and Scan Doctor and everything, including my color levels, were fine. I printed a test page and the pink block didn't show up. As suggested, I cleaned the printheads. Then when I reprinted the test page, none of the color blocks showed up. Are there any fixes out there, or should I just get a new printer?

I would not suggest replacing the D110a for this print quality issue, at least at this time. Since this printer uses the HP 60 cartridges, the printheads are part of the cartridge. Issues like yours are usually caused by the printheads, how many times have you ran the cleaning?
I would suggest taking a look at this: Fixing Ink Streaks, Faded Prints, and Other Common Print Quality Problems, some steps will have been done already, I would suggest trying them again just to be safe. Trying a replacement cartridge would be the best troubleshooting step for you, if it fixes the issue contact HP to check the warranty status on the problem ink cartridge.

Photosmart c4480 prints 2nd half of picture pink

I put new non-hp ink cartridges in--documents in black and white print fine, but pictures print the first part of the picture correctly but about halfway thru the printing becomes pink. I've tried cleaning and testing the print; things seem fine. I don't know what else to do. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

I see that you are having some printing issues when attempting to print in colour.
I do have a few steps that we can try.
First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. My photosmart is printing pink instead of red

When printing from photoshop my printer is printing in pink something that is clearly red. I have cleaned the printhead and there is no change

Hot pink printing out as red?

I am running Illustrator CC version 17.1 on Windows 7 professional. I designed some patterns using hot pink (CMYK 0/95/20/0) and when I export to JPG they print out as red. When I export I'm changing it to RGB. I think I read online that you can't print hot pink using CMYK or RGB because it's outside the gamut of those colors. If that's the case, how do I get hot pink?

First off, when you exported to JPG did it look correct? Are you printing only from Illustrator?
Which printer are you printing to? If printing from Illustrator. In the print dialog box. Are you selecting Illustrator to determine the colors or the printer?
If your printer is a CMYK printer. Then you would not need to change the colors to RGB. Try printing directly from Illustrator as CMYK.
If you can provide details of which printer that you are using and which app that you are printing from. That would help.

Deskjet 632C only prints colors as pink- why?

I've tried several new 78 cartridges with no avail. All 'color' images in every program print as pink ONLY.
Help?? MacOs 10.5.8 on a Powerbook G4

Uninstalled the printer and re-installed, but no help at all.

Printer with Mac

Recently purchased new Mac with OS Yosemite; since then print color was off so have now changed all four ink cartridges with no improvement (prints out pink for photos, text ok in black). Also, stated it needs paper and I've put the paper in and out and back in multiple times but does not recognize paper is there. Help!

How to design a "white" background in "black and white" ad on pink newsprint?

Long-time Indesigner here, but I have never had this dilemma before. Am designing a "black and white" newpaper ad for a major paper that has a pink section, i.e. it prints on pink newsprint. So I know this is black ink only, hence the "black and white"...but when the "white of regular newsprint is pink, I am getting stumped. I see in their rate card ads with a white background and black ink on top of the pink newsprint, which is what I want to do. The ad has facial tones of a major recording artist, and I do not want the highlights of her face going pink. So how to I ad a "white" layer underneath this ad? Deadline is now, so please reply ASAP. I have inquiries into the paper but it is the weekend and nobody is getting back to me.

Have they got a rate card: Check it! It may list a "white knockout advert" rate. I think:
that to overprint adverts onto pink is limiting i think its a separation (unless they only want/cater for 1 colour (black) ads) unlike yellow pages where the the standard directory colours are blue, green, red and black (err... obv because of the yellow paper...) yellow pages also offer white knockout adverts (then yellow available) and CMYK adverts.
So: you got to make sure that the advert is designed per spec: as you may know designing for newsprint is a lot more technical than gloss mags/sheet fed etc. You can always see in a newspaper who (designer) got it wrong.
All the info should be on the rate card: just check the CI too: as white knockout may be a lot more expensive.
