Printing is Cut Off

Recently purchased a HP Deskjet 3050A- J611 series. I am working on creating announcement postcards in Microsoft Publisher on a Windows 7 64 bit operating system. Print preview shows that it all won't print and it doesn't. About 1/4 in or so is not printing. I have downloaded latest drivers and updates. My old HP photosmart C7200 previews that it will all print. So what can I do to make this printer print the entire job?

Hi, the minimum margins are as follows:
Top: 0.06 / Right & Left: 0.125 / Bottom: 0.57

HP Designjet T520 Printing A3 cuts off at bottom When we plot something with AutoCad, and then print Portrait, it all prints fine except the bottom edge is slightly cut off. The paper we are using is A3, and the printer and Autocad settings is A3. Any ideas? WINDOWS 7 - NO ERROR MESSAGES

This very same issue is affecting me with T520.This happens with vertical A4 and A3, and till now I've not yet found a solution. To be sure to be within printer margins I've set the drawing actual margins on all the four sides to be 1.8 cm from paper sheets borders. But as alway I get the bottom border cut, while the upper border seems shifted downward and it's placed at 3,0 cm from the upper border of the paper. BUTif I set the page to be ORIZONTAL in the application, choose the orizontal page format etc the printout is perfectly aligned.  To me this seems a weird issue.Experienced this issue using Archicad 16, Illustrator and Indisign. • Print PDF Directly to Printer - Margins cut off

    Hello,
I am using an application called PeopleSoft, and we generate out report files in PDF format.
If I direct the output file directly to the printer then the right and bottom margins are cutting off the document text.
Whereas, if I direct the printer out put to a network drive, then open the PDF in an PDF reader of Acrobate, then print the file it works fine.
Can anyone explain to me why this is so, and if there is a way to change the margins, when sending the output to the printer. To ensure the entire document is printed.
    Thanks in advance,
    Matt.

    Yes, same PDF file.
I run a batch process that generates the report output file, I can choose to direct the output directly to a network printer, or save it to a network drive.
If I choose to direct the output run to the printer then the right margins and bottom margin is cutting off the text of the actual report file.
However, if I direct the output to be saved to the network drive, then open it using Adobe Reader, then print it, the entire report document fits easily within the margins and no text is being cut-off.
I lack the technical knowledge to explain how/why this is happening.

  • Print gets cut off C4280

I am sending from a hospital - we have purchased a Photosmart C4280 All in One Printer - The printer has now started cutting off the 4x6 print - we print all our specimen pictures from a SD card - It's like the picture gets cut off - the date is partially there and ends with an approximate 1/2" space on print    Any help would be appreciated

  • Every other line of print is cut off on my Photosmart C4750

I have recently replaced and aligned new cartridges on my Photosmart C4750. I am printing directly from computer to printer via USB. The last two items I have printed are being cutt off every other line of print, on either the top or bottom of the printed pages. Any ideas?

Hello there, Welcome to the Forums! I hope you enjoy your experience
I noticed your post about the printing problems you are having and would like to offer you my suggestion. First of all, print using a different program to see if the issue is only within one program. If you see the issue happening no matter where you print from, run the HP Print and Scan Doctor if you're running a Windows OS.
Also, try a copy to see if there are cut offs with them as well!
Please let me know what happened and include your OS and programs you have tried printing from.
Help to find which Operating System you are running:

  • Print border cut off

Hello, I just got a Pixma Pro 10 yesterday and after several hours figuring stuff out (downloading the right software, etc) as my cd/dvd drive is not working. I finally was able to print a test print.
My issue is that after I made a print, on one side of the print the border is cut off, there's like only a hair's width of a border on the left side, I'm printing in Landscape orientation if that helps. . So only three sides have the white border. I used Canon's Print Studio Pro as well as printing from Lightroom. Printing from Lightroom left a bit more border on the left side but not much.
I spent hours up trying to figure out how to fix it but to no avail. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.
    iMac running Yosemite

First, you must not let the printer set anything.  Turn off every bit off control it has.  You can do this with the Canon My Printer under the Printer Settings tab.  Do you know how?  I will guess, yes, for now but if you don't get back to me.
Second, you need to have your photo editor (like Photoshop) handle all the settings and color matching.  You know how to do this? I prefer Photoshop and I use AdobeRGB color space.
And lastly, it is essential you get some settings on your monitor that somewhat matches what the printer is printing.  Your printer may be doing exactly what you are telling it to do and you have no idea it is, because your monitor is so far off.  If you don't do this step, you can forget the other steps.  However, there are only a few things that you need to be concerned with. You don't need any fancy extra add-ins to do this.  No additional software or gadgets, etc.
Most people set their monitors too bright.
You must get the gray-scale very close.  You need to get the brightness very close and you need the contrast very close.
After you do these things you can make adjustments to your prints by just looking at your screen.  Because you know the monitor and printer are on the same level.  One more point, you can NOT get a printer to print every color exactly the way you saw it.  It isn't possible as all colors and adjustments effect all others.  My goal is to get the skin tones right.  That is what people notice most. Remember you are dealing with two different disciplines here.  One is colored light and the other is colored dyes.  They are not the same thing.
All the Canon photo printers I have ever seen have a warm/magenta cast.  Canon engineers must prefer this look.  It can not be changed.  You need to "fix" it in post.
Make sure you have the correct ICC profiles and you are using Canon brand ink and paper until you get good with the printer.  Very, very important, otherwise you don't know if the printer is doing exactly what you are telling it to or not.
Important is, use the USB connection until everything is right.  You are just adding another issue when you try to set up the printing and the wireless all at the same time.  Just like using Canon branded products until it is a go.  Use a real printer USB cable.  Not just any old USB cable. Get everything right before you explore.

  • Printing area cut off

    I have a HP4500 officejet on a mac power pc G4 with 10.5.8.
My problem is that the print cuts off in the middle of words, 15mm from the short edge of a landscape sheet!
the other side short edge of the landscape sheet (A4) prints to 10mm from the edge as it should do.
I am using Quark express 6.1
    help!
    regards
    Roger

Let me make sure I understand.  When using QuarkXPress and you change the page format from portrait to landscape, the words continue to go past the edge of the paper so they are getting cut off and not wrapping around automatically, correct?  It has been a long time since I used Quark so I will do my best to help out if I can.  I had to do a lot of searching but I did find this page about Mastering Printing in Quark.   Let me know if this doesn't help you and I will look into a setting like margins to change in the HP Utility for your printer, but I would start with the print settings in Quark first.
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.

  • PDF printing margins cut off

    Hi,
every time I try to print a PDF directly from Safari 7.0.2, the edges get cut off.
If I download the PDF and print it using Preview or Acrobat, everything is fine. Chrome can print perfectly, so it is not a browser thing.
There are tons of threads about safari cutting edges, wrong margins, etc. I tried a few of workarounds, some dark magic plist editing, nothing helps.
It is not only me, all users of my webapp are reporting the same problem.
Must I disable Safari for my users and ask them to switch to firefox or chrome?
    Please help

Hey Apple, I thought you wanted to place Safari as a competitive browser!
Still the same issue on Safari 7.0.3, the margins simply cut off parts of any pdf. It looks like it is a margins issue, but I am not sure.
I am moving all my users to Chrome or Firefox!
    PLEASE FIX!!!

  • Printing iPhoto cuts off right side of photo without editing?

When I try to print a iPhoto that is on screen full size it will chop off the photo on the right side without any editing when i do preveiw before printing. i have tried a few different things to try to correct but still same outcome.

I can confirm your issue with both iPhoto 9.4.3 and 9.5.1.  Croppijg a photo to 3.5 and trying to print to 3 x 5 borderless will crop a bit off oif the right side of the image.  I've confirmed that the pixel dimensions are for a 3 x 5, 1:1.666 but it won't fit into the 3x5 layout.
I checked it out with a 4 x 6 in iPhoto 9.5.1 and got the same results.  When the print process begins it's the original image that is brought into the print window instead of the cropped verson.
Cropping with an external editor does let you print to the exact print size selected.

  • I upgraded to OS X Yosemite, and now every time I print, it cuts off the bottom of the page, and is missing content.

Ever since I updated to OS X Yosemite, I have had trouble printing. I don't just use one program. I use many. Printing from the internet, Word, Preview, everything. It just won't print correctly. It has no margin at the bottom of the page, and continues as though theres more paper, and is therefore missing content. It's so annoying. I'm going out of my mind. what do I do?

  • How do you adjust Firefox to print what is on email page without adding a 1 inch left marghin to that page as it cuts off some of the right side of the page?

When I receive an email the page often has a certificate that I would like to print. Using the print function at the top of the page brings up the email as a page as it looks in my web email. When I hit the print button on that page there is always a 1 inch margin added to the printed page cutting off the right side of the desired page to be printed.
My printer accepts what ever I send it from word, pdf files as they appear on the screen, Why doe Firefox not send the same images as is displayed to the printer?
This seems to occur whenever the screen shows an image that is almost border to border and not text. When a margin is part of the email message or it is text this doesn't seem to occur.
HELP Please. I really need to be able to print what is displayed to print the proper document.
    Thanks

Some pages add their own margin to the minimum margin set in Page Setup. First you might reduce the margin here:
Alt+f (displays the classic File menu) > Page Setup > Margins & Header/Footer tab
Second, you could try using Shrink to Fit. However, if the image is a background image rather than part of the content of the page, that might not have any effect.

  • HP Laserjet P1102w - Right side margin cut off when printing in Internet Explorer 9! URGENT PROBLEM*

    Hi,
I have just purchased a new printer (HP Laserjet P1102W), and when I print a web page in Internet Explorer 9, the footer (I set to the URL) does not print at all and the header will print though the right hand edge of my entire web page is cut off (including my top right header - Pages ? of ?).
I always use Print Preview first, and in the print preview it looks perfect. I always tick the box to enable shrink to fit too. Why will it look perfect in 'Print Preview' but yet when it prints, it cuts off the right hand side edge of the page and doesnt print the footer?? I have tried adjusting margins, etc... all to no avail.
I would like to check whether others have this same problem?
I spoke to HP (UK Printer Support) and they said it is Internet Explorer 9's problem. I have left a message on the Microsodt Web forum which you can see here. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie9-windows_vista/internet-exploer-9-not-printing-header...
I am hoping they may release a patch / hotfix - but this has to be affecting many other users of this printer too? The more of us that complain, the quicker it will get sorted.
Any others with the same problem?
    Thanks.

I spoke with Microsoft technical support via phone today. Between us - we seemed to have found the problem.
It's to do with the DPI (the font size) settings in Windows!?
I have mine set to 188% on my Windows Vista mahcine and 200% on my Windows 7 laptop.
From my Printing tests in Internet Explorer 9...
at 100 % DPI – it prints perfectly
at 150% DPI – it prints perfectly
at 200% DPI – the right side of the margin is cut off, and no footer is printed – despite it looking perfect in the Print Preview.
I am using http://uk.msn.com/ as my test print outs.
This indicates when the DPI is changed above 150%, IE9 doesn't print properly – though other browsers like Safari or Firefox do print correctly. This surely has to indicate a bug in either the Windows operating system or Internet Explorer 9?
Microsoft are going to run their own tests and phone me back tomorrow...hopefully with a solution!
Hope this helps any others with the same problem at the moment!
Would be great if HP could provide a soloution asap - surely a tweak to the Printer dirvers will fix the problem?

  • When printing from web pagess, right margin cuts off print, cant seem to reconfigure. Frames select on print choices does not highlight for printing options. What will help?

Using a Dell Dimension E310 with Windows XP and Dell photo 924 Print/Scan/Copier. When printing from web pages on the browser the right portion of the print is cut off. It appears that the "folders" frame on the left side of the page is always printing with the page, which cuts off the print on the right side of the main page frame by the width of the "folders" frame. When I select the print command, the choice for selecting a particular frame to print is on the drop down menu, but is not highlighted for use. We have had this problem with Firefox for some time. Printing from IE or Word, etc. does not produce the same problem. We like Firefox otherwise. What is the fix?

You're right: most web pages do not use frames, so that option usually is not available.
I don't know why a page that printed just the main content before would change to printing with useless sidebars. Can you try the site in Firefox's Safe Mode and see whether it prints/previews correctly there?
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
Does that fix it? If so, the difference usually is caused by one of your add-ons. You can restart the regular way and disable all non-essential add-ons here:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Add-ons
In particular, check the Extensions category.
