Printing is garbled in latest version.
Printing of any web page is completely garbked and this is the case on two different printers. The same web pages printing properly with Chrome.
I was having this problem. I tried a different printer driver (PCL5 instead of PCL6), I upgraded to Firefox 5, but was still having the problem. I checked the add-ons and found a cute little add-on that got there who-knows-how called 'Foxit Reader'. I disabled that add-on and all the problems went away. Yay!

We are using a couple of EFI (Fiery) controllers with our Canon copiers and I have been told by Canon support that we need to be using the MacTel (Universal Binary) versions of drivers for Leopard. Luckily for us we have mostly new models of RIPs and the UB drivers exist for these models, but I know that they are not available for all models, which I believe includes your X3e.
To determine if you have a driver or RIP issue, you could save the file as either PS or PDF and then use the EFI utilities, such as Command Workstation, to import the file to the RIP (select Process and Hold) and then see if you can print your multiple copies that way. If that works then you know that the RIP is probably okay.
The next test would be to create a generic PS queue to the X3e and print using this queue. If this works then you can narrow your issue down to the driver.

In previous version, say my drawing is on a 30x42 paper. I can zoom into certain part of the drawing and print it onto letter size paper, the print screen will tell me what the zoom % is, so that I can print my drawing to scale. But this function is gone in version 10.1.2. Does anyone know how I can control the scale when I print?

I am getting this error message every time I turn on the computer. I have the Airport Extreme wireless router. This has been occuring for the last 2-3 months. I have been to the support page and downloaded current versions and updates. I don't think I have a firewall ( I have AVG virus protection). Also, the scanner part of my printer/scanner/copier has not worked since we installed the router. Help!

That should update your mDNSResponder to version 2.0.5.0 ... with the newer Bonjour componentry in place, do you still get the error when switching on the PC?

Smart print, latest version of IE 11 and Windows 7 - 64 bit.
I am running IE 11 and just installed Smart Print. I did not install the Bing tool bar becauseI saw a year old post stating that it is not needed. I am running Windows 7 - 64 bit
A SmartPrint icon appeared on a tool bar -- same one as Home, print, etc.
First time I pushed the new icon it prompted me to install the latest version -- 2.6. I followed the instructions an completed the installation.
Now nothing happens when I try to activate SmartPrint.
Ideas?Is HP going to upgrade Smart Print to work with IE 10, 11 and future versions?

I have Mavericks on my iMac and the latest version of iPhoto 9.5.1 (902.17) but no book, card, calendar, album, slideshow, print and order prints options under Share, which still shows Set Desktop. Any ideas please?

Cannot print with HP Officejet 6100 with latest version of Firefox
Since I received the latest version of Firefox I cannot print anything that's online. I'm using Windows 7.
Thank you for your help. When I try the "reset firefox printer setting" and type "print" in the search field, I get the settings for the two previous computers and the current one. If I type "print-printer", I get a blank page. Also the menu button disappears. If I click on the setting, "delete" is not one of the options. If I try to"reset all firefox printer setting" and click on "show folder" under application basics, a list of files and folders opens. the prefs.js file is only 23KB (JScript Script File) long and cannot be opened, so I cannot remove any lines that start with "print".

When I opened this pop-up to view the settings (File > Page Setup > "Format & Options": Scale ), the Scale value was 40%. Changing it to 100% corrected the issue I observed.
To my knowledge, I have not been inside this pop-up window before to set the Scale option. Could this value be affected by other actions within Firefox? I noticed this while using v12 which was installed 24Apr2012.I know it worked correctly since that installation, so why did the Scale value change?
UPDATE: I just realized that the Scale option in print preview sets the Scale value in the settings. NOTE TO ALL: This is a sticky setting, not just a setting for a specific output request. -
I've installed and reinstalled the latest version of Adobe Reader at least twice, but I still get the same problem - I cannot print PDFs on paper using my local printer.
Additional info that might be helpful:
* The printer is connected and tested, and prints from other programs like MS Word.
* I can print from Adobe Reader to PDF using a program like BullZIP, but this is obviously not useful.
* I have tested various PDFs, as far as I can see this is not about the type of PDF (whether it contains macros or fields or whatever).
* The exact error messages are "The document could not be printed" and "There were no pages selected to print" in two separate popup boxes.DO NOT USE PREVIEW TO FILL OUT PDF FORMS, IT WILL DESTROY PDF FILES. Sorry, but I had to shout here to prevent damage to your PDF files.
Here is one of the symptoms when you fill out a PDF form with Preview: If you save it and return it to the author, they will not be able to see the text that you've added to form fields - unless they click on a field, which will reveal the contents of just that field. You can recover from this problem, but Preview will also remove other field types, and will actually rewrite your complete PDF while ignoring what it does not understand. How do I let Apple know there is a print problem since the latest update?

I am unable to print since I installed the latest version of Mac OS X 10.5.7 over the weekend. I use a Lexmark X5470 all-in-one printer. I had the same problem when I switched from Tiger to Leopard until Apple produced a patch. I tried it on both of my computers and I have the same problem on both.
How can I let Apple know that the same problem has occurred with the latest Mac OS X 10.5.7 update?
In the printing window I get two messages. The first says the there is a color missing , to delete and re-install the driver. The second, There is a problem communicating with the printer. Make sure the printer is powered on and connected to the computer. Delete or stop the job and try again.

That probably explains it. Sometimes a minor bug in 3rd party software becomes a problem after a system update catches it.
From all that I know (which is not much) it is not a problem that is specific to my macbook or g5. I will try to post the issue in bugreport.
They usually let you know if it has been previously reported and eventually, the disposition of the request.
You might try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer.
Did you use the full combo manual download? That would be another thing to do - you can reapply it over the one you have.
Also run DU and repair permissions before and after any update.
