Printing Lables

Hello All, I am trying to figure out how to print labels using iWork. I see a templet for business cards, but not label printing?? Can anyone help me with this?

Welcome to Apple discussions.
This topic comes up frequently in these group. We're in general agreement that Pages isn't the best tool for address labels. The Print function from Address Book does a much better job.

Printing Lables Issues

Dear Gurus,
In the print preview we are able to see the bar code for the batch number. While taking the print out we are not getting the bar code for the batch number.
Any flash lights on this will be appreciated.

We had problem with barcode printing a few months ago. You need to understand the various barcode technologies SAP uses. You can refer to this consulting note 1557674 to get a better understanding. If you're using a SAP Script forms to print lables it most probably it uses old technology like number 1 or 4 mentioned in the note. In that case your printer itself need to support the barcode characters, you need to upgrade/install the barcode font inside the printer firmware. Most Xerox devices do not come with barcode font so you need to download the font and install it on the printer.
Try implementing this note 1558595 , to see if turns old technology to new technology. If it happens then barcode will become printer independent, meaning the printer doesn't natively have to support barcode fonts.
Go to SE73 look up barcode fonts, then test them through program RSPO0031.

Unable to print lables on Zebra printer

Hi,
We have designed a new lable using the zebra software: ZebraDesigner for mySAP Business Suite 2. This software generates a Zebra code and the same is copied in SAP script to pass the command to Zebra printer.
The Zebra printer name is : Zebra Z4M Plus (300dpi).
Font: ^B3 Code 39
We are using SAP Script to print the output.
Error: When we fire the print, the lables are printed "blank". What could be the possible areas where we need to check.

Hi,
Did you follow the steps of SAP #179534? If your zebra printer supports ZPL2 printer language, this should use. You should use devcei type LB_ZEB to create the spool.

Trying to print mailing lables via excel… any suggestions?

Export to CSV, and import with Addressbook. Use Addressbook to print labels. By the way, you posted in the wrong forum for Mac OS X 10.7.5. See this tip on where to post:

And make sure to indicate which operating system and which version of Excel you are using.

How to print lables using the "Spouse" field

I have added the spouse field and added that for each of my friends. The problem is, how can I print both names when I end up sending out Christmas cards this year? For example, if my friend is listed as Peter Smith and "Julie" is listed in the spouse field, how can I print to look like this:
Peter & Julie Smith
123 E. Main Street
Anytown, AZ 85203

There was recent discussion on problems with this, and a suggested work-around, but it should be automatic in Address Book and not require scripting.

Print lables using WEE1

Hi Friends,
Does anyone has experience of working with GR label print using output type as WEE1. I just want to know whether it prints the material and other information also on the label. I am only getting the 'label text' for each quanity nothing else. Your help is much appreciated.

Printing Lables on Zebra's Z4M using ZPL in SapScript

Hello Everyone,
I've got one major problem. I'm trying to print labels using ZPL-Commands in Sap-Script.
I created a new label as explained in so many posts here: One page, one page window, next page = first page.
I got the ZPL-Code into the SapScript-Form as mentioned in older posts (importing into standard-text. then copy to main-windows of form.).
O.k., everything went fine. And tadaa, I even can print the label out of my quality notification (--> stability study --> storage labels).
O.k., now theres the point I need your help. Is there any idea why there is only one label printed? And not 10 like I wanted to be printed? In SAP-spool there are 10 pages.

Hello again,
I solved the problem with a little help from a senior programmer. She told me to set the element /LABEL at the beginning of my textelement in main-windows.
That's what I forgot.

Lable printing in smartform

Dear All,
I am working at Lable Printing Smartform of material Document. in which when i pass material document range in SF program then generate page accourding maetrial document.
Exmple:
i pass range in program............
Material Document : 460 to 465
then create 6 page in output.
But
i want print lable on one page and if page don't have space then print on next page........

Start SO10.
enter some names and CREATE.
Then INSERT--> GRAPHICS (the blue menu upside)
There you have 2 tabs.
Stored on ducmentserver (i think that is the same as SE78)
I used the second tab. Stored as text (it really works)
You can import your graphics there.
There is also another way for you. I have only a example description in dutch
so i will do it very short in English
save your logo in TIFF format (with eg. MS photo editor)
use:

In Address book print window opened too large for window. Unable to close

Using Address book, trying to print lables for a group, print window opened to large for window.... cannot cancel or close out.

In general, in any window presented which calls for user action, if a button is highlighted (usually in blue if the OS is in charge) then pressing Return or Enter will do the same as clicking that button.
Most of the time the highlighted button is the one which is most usable - the "Print" button in that dialog window, for example, or the "Save" button in a Save dialog window.
The keystroke Command-. (Command-periodkey) will usually invoke a "Cancel" button if such is present in a window.

How do I download my Photosmart D5160 virtual printer to my windows 7

I have been using my Photosmart D5160 printer in a XP Vertual mode on my Windows 7 computer for about eight years now to print lables on DVDs. Somthing happened in the last couple of weeks and the virtual printer won't conect to my Windows 7 computer any more. I would like to know how to download the Photosmart D5160 printer file to Vertual XP program to my Windows 7 computer again so I can print on DVDs.

System Preferences->Sharing, check DVD or CD Sharing to on.
Also, make note of the iMac's IP address in case Windows
doesn't automatically see it and you need to connect
manually.

Envelope printing from Address book

Does anyone know how to get Address book to print envelopes?
I can print lables etc but application quits when I try to print envelopes.

When the print window opens you have 3 tabs 'layout', 'label' and 'orientation' in a row below the selection for 'style: envelopes'. Click on the label tab and you should see a tick beside 'print my address'. Untick this box and then it will print without a problem. Whats happened is you have not created your own card: Menu - Card - Go to my card. When you create your own card and leave the box ticked then your address will be printed in the top left. The application simply could not find your address it was instructed to print and quit. There should be no need to mess around with anything else although you might find that the address does not get printed in the middle of the envelope. I think it looks better to change the layout to a custom DL and change the recipient top: 44 to 24 especially on business envelopes. I hope this helps a few people because it had my head wrecked as well.

Label print after TO confirmation

I have specific requirment and wonder if there is a standard way to trigger labels after TO is confirmed? Requirement is that we validate SH to from a custom table on staging. If SH matches then we print lable otherwise not.

I think Yazmin is referring to partner function "SH" ship-to party Manish. If that's the case I believe its possible to print based on a select ship to customer numbers (NACE entries) but it really depends on what output type and other details,

Where is this output coming from after TO confirmation? (TO, HU, Delivery, Shipment)?
Is this a custom output type if not what output is it?
Is the requirement to print or not based on an existing custom table or are you just mentioning custom table as a possible way to access a list of SH partners that you want to print the output for?
Please provide as many details as possible to get the best answer to your query.

Yes, of course. Use "send to edge". If I remember it right, there´s also a specific print method in the same package.

I use Pages with the template from the manufacturer of the labels and cards. Works great for me.
