Printing layout with colour images

I am printing document with Canon 3100 iR colour printer.
I am able to get print with device type 'ZCNC31EP' suggested in one of SAP note.
But it is not giving colour print as seen in print preview.
Layout is been printed using smartform. It contains some logos and some images in colour ?
How do I used print control in command in smartform to print layout in colour ?
Thanks,
Amit R.

Color Printing
Prerequisites
You can print lists in color if your output device uses one of the following device types:
·        HPLJ4000/HPLJ5000/HPLJ1100
·        KYOFS170
·        POST2
·        SWIN
Activities
       1.      Edit the definition of the output device.
       2.      To do this, call Spool Administration (transaction SPAD).
       3.      Enter the name of the output device in the Output device field on the Devices /servers tab.
       4.      Save your entry.
       5.      Switch to the Output Attributes tab and select Color printer
You must be in change mode () to be able to select the Color printer field.
If you want to print both in color and black and white on your printer, you should create an individual output device for every print mode (for example, PRINTER_COL and PRINTER_MON).

  • PSE 7.0 and print layout with picture package

I was used to PSE 2.0 where you could have your own print layouts sitting in a *.txt file. All you need was to make this txt file and specify in it:
the unit (inch or cm) to use
the width and height of the print area
and for each image the coordinates of the leftupper corner and the width and height of that image.
Is there a anything like it in PSE 7.0?
All I can find is printing a picturepackage and some "hardcoded" lay outs.
I like to make my own layouts.
    How to do this.

    Yes I did restart PSE7.
    but that did not help
I also tried to remove all  the present llayout-text files except my own, then there was NOTHING to chose from!
So her is one of the layout text file that I use with PSE2 and it is working, when I select paper size A4
    C  21  21
    A4 (3)  10.5  10.5 cm
    0  0 10.5  10.5
    10.5  5.2  10.5  10.5
    0  10.5  10.5  10.5
That txt file did not show in the dropdown select layout,(setting paper size A4  or Letter)
I tried the following txt file, setting papersize Letter
    with the same result
    I  8.5  11.0
    Letter (3)  10.5x10.5 cm
    0  0  4.1  4.1
    4.1  2.0 4.1  4.1
    0  4.1 4.1  4.1
Since there are no (error) messages I do not understand the criteria to meet for showing this layout in the select dropdown list.

  • Firefox shifts page layout with larger images

This is a Firefox specific issue. In IE, it displays as
    expected.
I have two pages. One has dynamic links and the other has an
    image. Each
shares the exact same page layout, well, after messing with
    it for a
day, this is no longer actually true but even if they did, it
    would do
the same thing. When you click on the dynamic link to go to
    the other
page, the page layout shifts to the left.
I have tested without the image and the page looks fine but
    as soon as
it displays an image the page shifts. IE does not have this
    problem.
I've tried putting the image in a table. I've tried CSS to
    control it.
It's just strange and I am wondering if there is a work
    around for this?

  • Print layout with native client

I have a user who is printing calendar pages with a customized layout. She wants to know if it's possible to print the pages without the acceptance marks on them (ie, no accepted, denied, or maybe checkmark, x, or question mark).
I can't see a way to do it, but I could be missing something. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this?
    Thank you,
    Mike

    Bonjour Michael,
Acceptance status will always be printed and unfortunately this can not be customize.
This way, when users are printing on a black and white printer, it makes it easier to determine the status of the event.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter,

  • Accurate print layouts with CF

    Hi there,
I'm looking for any input on doing "accurate" printing via
PDF's from CF. By accurate I mean I would want to position objects
(text mainly, possibly lines) on a page with relative precision.
(16th of an inch?) I'm not looking for Pixel or Point accuracy but
I would like to be able to custom design a badge, or formatted
series of items that would then print onto pre-designed and
    perforated stock.
I haven't seen much in CF's native PDF implementation that
leads me to believe this is easily done outside of using CSS and
HTML however past experience with these techniques has proven the
results to be unpredictable at best across different browsers /
    platforms.
I also found iText, the Open Source Java PDF library and I
know this could be instanced from CF easily. i just thought I would
inquire if anyone else has experience on a similar project.
    Thanks.

As there are no other postings, I am closing the thread.
    Thank you for understanding.

  • Not printing captions with photos

I am using Windows XP and Adobe Photoshop Album 3.2. I entered captions with all 304 pictures and the captions did not transfer when I printed my pictures nor to Cd burner. I checked all forums and did not find a solution. I need help with this issue.

    Hi Judith,
As far as I think, there is no option for getting the captions printed along with the images while taking the printout.Though there exists a work around in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 itself where you can get captions ptinted along with your images in case if you order a photobook. For this go to Order>Order Photobooks or Create>Books.I don't exactly understand that what do you mean by the photo captions not being tranferred to the cd burner.

  • 2 questions - change image size within print cell, and saving print template w/ specific images

    Hi,
Searched the forums for the answer to these but couldn't find much.
    1. Is there a way to change the image size within a cell (under print module). For example, zoom in 140% on a a specific image but still have it within the original cell size?
    2. Say I create and fill in an elaborate print template with my images - is there a way to save the FILLED IN version of the template to edit at a later time? For example if I wanted to load it back up w/ all the original images layed out in the print template, but maybe change a few and resave as jpeg?
    Thank you!

    Hi
I'm not sure but maybe you can use a rectangle to hold the .ai image, resize the rectangle and fit proportionally the image inside it
    hope this help

  • SENTING PRINT LAYOUT TO HARD DRIVE OR DVD

HOW TO SEND TO HARD DRIVE OR DVD THE ALBUM FORMAT AND DATA FROM THE PRINT LAYOUT WITH ONE DETAIL -"NAME" - FOUR COLUMNS AND PAGE NUMBERING?? IN ELEMENTS11

Sorry, but if you're referring to commercial and hence copy-protected DVDs, breaking the copy protection, which would be necessary to copy the videos from the DVD and convert them, is illegal in the US (and other countries), so we're not allowed to discuss it here.

  • Colours do not Print correctly with Photoshop CS4

I am using the Adobe Master Collection CS4, and use an Epson RX650 printer, but for the life of me I cannot get Photoshop to print what is on the screen.
The prints are dark, and no where near the ones on the screen.
I am using genuine Epson Ink, and Premium glossy paper, so as to remove this issue, is this a case of my screen needing to be calibrated?
I have considered buying the Spyde Studio calibrator to ensure that this is correct, (do I need to?) and I have read as much as I can about setting up Adobe to manage the print settings and colours, but still no luck.
My current settings are as follows
In Adobe Bridge, my creative suit color settings are set to Europe General Purpose 2
The in Adobe Photoshop (version 11.0.1) I am selecting under colour management, Document Adoby RGB (1998), Photoshop handles colours, Printer profile is Epson sRGB Colour Space, Rendering intent is Relative Colourimetric, and I have ticked the following boxs, Blackpoint compensation, Match print colours, Gamut warning and Show paper white.
Can some one please advise me?

I too have had problems with prints being much darker than what I see on screen.
Below is my solution which works fairly well for color prints--not as well for grayscale.
I used the huey Pro monitor calibrator purchased only a couple of months back to make my prints look right and be consistent.
    1.       Use the huey to calibrate the monitor
    2.       From Photoshop (CS4), I select the ICC profile for my Epson 2200 printer and the paper being used.  I then set up soft proofing in Photoshop (in the View menu) which allows me to see on screen how the image will be printed. Usually it is a bit darker than I like.
    3.       so I adjust the brightness such that in the soft proof view, the image appears as I wish.
    4.       There is more yet to do in that you have to set various settings for the print process like letting Photoshop manage colors, setting no color adjustment for the printer. And a few more minor settings  regarding the printer
By the way, there is something wrong with the print driver for the 2200 in XP so that when you come to the last screen before printing, the print preview has a very red tint.  You simply ignore that since the print has none of that.  This is in XP.  Possibly Windows Vista has a driver that doesn’t do that.
This has given me good quality consistent prints the first time they are printed—at least on the few I have done since getting the huey

  • Colour prints ok with Photoshop but wrong  with Lightroom.

I am using Lightroom 4.4 and Photoshop CS6 with an Epson Stylus Photo P50. In both programs I have set colour management handled by printer, and in both programs I have set printer colour profile to Adobe RGB. Prints from Photoshop are ok, prints form Lightroom are wrong and have to low saturated colours. Greyscale seems to be comparable. In both programs the image on screen is the same and ok. How can I get Lightroom print the correct colours?

The way I understand it, the Adobe RGB in the Print module applies only to the previews, and draft printing, but I may be wrong.
See Lightroom Help | Color management. Under "How Lightroom manages color" it says:
    "Lightroom uses Adobe RGB:
    - for previews in the Library, Map, Book, Slideshow, Print, and Web modules
    - when printing in Draft mode"
In another help document Lightroom Help | Print job options and settings it says:
"To send the image data to the printer driver without first converting the image according to a profile, choose Managed By Printer."
So, I assume LR is sending the image in its internal color space, but then again it is just my interpretation, although it is compatible with what happens, i.e.  the "color numbers" from a big color space are sent to a smaller color space, without conversion, and the colors get washed out. It is much the same as when an Adobe RGB encoded image is viewed on non-color managed program.
As you do not have specific profile for your printer and get good results using Adobe RGB you may want to try to cheat a little.
Try this: in the Color Management tab of the Print module, instead of selecting "Managed by printer" select "Other..." and you will see a list of the available profiles on your computer (eventually ticking "Include display profiles"). There, choose Adobe RGB.
In any case, I'm convinced this is NOT the correct approach.

  • Colour Image Printing - Quality?

Can't think where else to ask this question as none of the other forums are as productive as Discussion.Apple
My colour printing to a Canon MP560 is like mud. I have read through all Bruce Fraser's colour advice and checked my Photoshop colour settings / proofing colours and can't get the image to print anywhere near realistic. Any ideas anybody?
    Thanks, Jim.

Hi, thanks for your replies. I have printed off some other images and they are resonably ok, so I think it is mostly an image based problem rather than colour settings. I have not cleaned the print heads nor checked alignment, however there is no misprinting other than the mud colouring, which is like no tonal range in the darks ie everything after 40% tone just gets inked at about 80% of each colour cartridge. I have printed from Preview as well and that is only slightly better though has far fewer options regarding choice over output. I am using proprietary ink and standard glossy paper. Bottom plate is not dirty.
In this instance I have resolved the problem by printing the image at smaller size on the A4 sheet to save ink and running the sheet through with four altered states of the image in order to find an acceptable result. But I don't intend to do that everytime I need an art print. It is rather hopeless - if you colour copy an image on the glass the printer gives an optimum print. But if you scan the same image on the glass then print it out the result is like chalk and cheese.

  • Problem with Query Print Layout

Hi, i have this type of problem.
I have create a query with 5 fields,i have saved it, and ,after, i have created a report on this query (Query Print Layout).
So, i have manipulated the report based on the preferences of the customer.
After this operation, customer tell me that he want to see one more field in the report, so i must add, in the original query, this field. But i note that i can't add a field. I can do it, but i must remake all the report.
There is a way to do this type of operation, without remake the report from the start?
    Thanks
    Regards
    Marco

    Hi Marco:
I asked our Print Layout Expert, and she tolds me that you have to create the report again.
Some time ago, in the report designer was a  way to change the link to the query, but that option is disable now.
So, be patient and ask for this functionality to be implemented.

  • I have problems with uploading images to my printing company have the images have been manipulated through CS6 i have saved images as jpeg but the printer company tell me they are not j peg, they will not upload images save from a camera are fine

I have problems with uploading images to my internet printing company when  the images have been manipulated through CS6 and  i have saved images as jpeg  the printer company tell me they are not j peg,
but images saved from my phone or camera images that have not been manipulated upload fine, What am i doing wrong?

Save/Export them as JPG. Photoshop defaults to PSD, so make sure you select JPG and not just rename the file to .jpg.
There are two ways to save them as JPG: Regular Save as option or Save for Web & Devices
    Take your pick.

  • Query Print Layout-Linking a new header field with ref to repetitive area

    Hi,
In a query print layout, the query result based on pending items from a specific vendor is to be displayed.
On trying to insert a new database field (eg. Vendor Name), in the header area based on the pending item details in the repetitive area, the print output shows up a random vendor name (not related with the query result).
The RELATE TO property-option of the header field does not list the repetitive area fields, and the LINK TO option does not help either.
Please advise any other way to link the new db field to display the correct vendor name (contact person, address) as used in the query.
    thanks,
    Avinash
Edited by: Avinash Sashee on Jun 30, 2009 1:14 PM

Yes, the fields are part of the query.
Eg. The pending items from a specific vendor(with vendor code, name) is listed in the repetitive area of the layout. But the requirement is to have the Vendor Name and Address details in the Header portion(i.e. Letter to Vendor). Please help me on this.
    thanks,

  • Printing Buttons with Images

In my application, I am attempting to print a document that has both buttons with text and buttons with images, along with plain text.
When I print, the buttons with the images are larger than they ought to be (i.e. they don't fit within the area they were suppose to be drawn within (btw, for this application, I am using absolute positioning)).
However, this does NOT occur with the buttons that have only text and no image.
Can anybody tell me why this might be? It seems that to printing a JButton comes from the functionallity of JComponent.print, which simply sets a few printing flags and calls JComponent.paint.
So whatever changes those flags make, I would think they ought to effect all buttons the same?
Has anybody else run into this problem, and possibly found a solution for it?

    myJButton.setSize(new java.awt.Dimension(<width>,<height>));
that line should do it. keep in mind that that will not resize your image. since you are using absolute positioning I will assume your button is of constant size. you should manually resize your images to be of the proper size for your buttons.
