Printing limitations of iCal

I find iCal pretty lacking in printing customizations. Even Entourage has more usable printing options and formats, but I'm trying to keep all things Microsoft off my Apple. Is there a 3rd party program to extend iCal's printing abilities (the way AddressBookReports does for printing Address Book)?

This seems to be an on-line calendar solution (correct me if I'm wrong), but I don't put my calendar online. Is there some way I could this without going online?

Print Reminders in iCal?

How can I print Reminders in iCal? I use an ipod touch and a Macbook. I can print the agenda (calendar) but not the reminders which I see in the right-hand column.

I totally agree. I just wasted .5 hrs trying to figure out how to manipulate and sync the reminders with the iCAl. Thanks for posting this thread online, I can stop wasting my time now. Apple, please change it back or make these apps sync.
Side note. I was creating my to do list and found the ability to asign a date by draging the task to the calendar in the bottom right. Then I discovered that I can drag that same reminder/to-do task into iCal and it will be created as an event. Would be great if I could simply sync the reminders to iCal instead of draging them over though. Then when I make the change in one the other can update with the next sync. This also prevents human error if I drag and drop the reminder onto the wrong date in iCal.

Since installing Mavericks, my HP Printer adds an extra page to every print job, and iCal won't synch via iTunes with the Calendar on my iPhone 4s. Can Mavericks be uninstalled?

So, can Mavericks be uninstalled?

Third party cleaning utilities are not necessary on a Mac and can only cause problems.

Growl is un necessary and can slow the system down > Growl - Removing Growl
If you want to monitor the system, use the pre installed Activity Monitor app located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Then restart your Mac.

Are you sure you created the .p12 file with the correct '-name' friendly name? The value for -name must match the value com.adobe.adept.fulfillment.security.keystore.user

Printing from icloud ical

I have a Macbook Pro with OSX 10.8.3
I have my ipad and iphone synced with icloud for my calendar but not my desktop unless I log into icloud.com (desktop ical is not synced).
I'd like to print out my ical events calendars weekly but icloud will not allow me to do that. I'm thinking that the ical on my desktop may be the only way to get this done...How do I sync my ical desktop with icloud?

Printing times in ical

How can I get iCal to NOT print the time of an event? I entered the event as an all-day event and it prints it with a time in front (eg. "11:00AM Meeting"). I want it to just print "Meeting." Please help!

IT'S A DRAG, in v.2.0.5 they didn't think of an option to turn off the time. If you turn it off in Prefs, it still prints the UNWANTED TIME, wasting space. There's also the problem of the invisible last line of text.... you have to add extra spaces and a dot or whatever to make the line visible. AMAZINGLY they left it this way with no update fixes.... mediocrity is alive and well @ Apple! Try the Google calendar, or maybe Mozilla?

Trying to print notes in iCal, having issues

Hello,
I need to generate hard copies of my calendar for record keeping and tax purposes. The only way I can seem to get iCal to print the "notes" field is to print a page for every day. Printing either the month view or the week view doesn't print the notes.
Anyone know how to do this? I hate to print 365 pages of paper just to get the 2 or 3 lines of notes.

Use List view. This can print multiple days on a single page with notes included.

Printing Events in ical

Is there a way to print out a list of upcoming events so that it includes the times and descriptions of the events instead of printing the whole calendar which only shows the time span and name of the events?

I'd like more options too.
I'd like to be able to print a one-week schedule of my classes that shows the times. Rather than having the times, iCal will just print a vertical bar covering the range of time and one has to guess as to the exact beginning and end. I wish it would print a calendar which looked more like the one that is actually displayed within iCal.
And yet it will print the start times when printing a monthlong calendar.

Printing Lists in ical

i would like to print a list of my events. Is there a way to eliminate the days where nothing is scheduled. Currently it prints "no entry"

I have the same problem. There is only a much more complicated way to print a list of the events with Automator. This Solution also dose not look as fine as an ical Printout. I think this is a very fundamental function, because the empty days in a event list are quite useless. I hope the competent developers have the same opinion.

I need to print notes with my calendar in a weekly format - I don't see the option. Can anyone help?

may i suggest a work around? ical>file>print, then select the "list" view, and in time range select 7 days, select the items you want to print, such as only events for example, you will then see events with notes for seven days.

Problem with printing the correct "ical" pages.

G'day
I have only recently started using "iCal", on the cloud, having upgraded my laptops to "Lion" and my iPhone to "5", so that I have NOT experienced any of the "syncing" problems of which I have read elsewhere.
BUT, I do have an irritating problem, the solution to which, being a long-term Mac user, should be obvious.
The problem stems fronm the fact that I am located on the east coast of Australia, and my laptops know this.
The first, really daft, thing that I did was to create a whole lot of iCal entries, in iCloud, without noticing that the default timezone was "Pacific".
So, OK, I fixed that by going into my ID on iCloud and changing the timezone, and then editing every single event that I had entered at that point in time.
So, I then thought that I had beaten the beast, because I had only been printing "Weekly" calendars, which were OK.
Today, I decided to print some "daily" calendars, and the system WILL NOT PRINT THE CORRECT DATE.
My iCal entries are mainly to do with a trip that that starts on 1st August this year. I bring up iCal on the Mac, go to the print page, select 01 Aug 2012, and it prints 31 July 2012.
This happens whether I tick the "Timezone" preference in iCal on the Mac, or not.
What else should I do?

In the second page you can insert a command to set it to goto page 3,and an additional event in the command (only after the end of main window).
As soon as the main window ends in the second page...u will get the third and rest of the pages.
Keep the goto next page in PAge 1 as Page2
and in Page 2 as Page 2.

if you are using SWING all you have to do is set up a Timer (javax.swing.Timer) and check the time each time it fires.
in your constructor get a reference to the Calendar object:
Calendar c = Calendar.getInstance();when you start your timed event:
long myStartTime = c.getTimeInMillis();
myTimer.start();when you want to check--each time the timer object fires (in the actionPerformed of your ActionListener for the Timer)
if(myTimeInMillis()>(c.getTimeInMillis()-myStartTime)){
