Printing multiple dymo labels

Hi,
We're having a bit of trouble printing multiple dymo labels.
We use adobe reader to take a snapshot of a barcode from our amazon fba labels and its all fits fine but when you put in say 12 copies it only prints 1.
Its not the label printer because we print out 100 return address labels at a time through the dymo software so its something in adobe that's not pushing up that we want more than one copy.
It did used to work but we have moved offices and got new computers, It did used to work on our older mac but won't do it on this new one.
Thanks
Kayleigh

  • How do I use Address Book to print multiple labels using just one address?

    Hi. I'm trying to print multiple address labels using the same address on each label, but I'm stuck trying to make this happen in Address Book. Can anyone help?
    Thanks!

    The work-around that I've found to solve this issue is to create a new group in address book, then duplicate the contact 20 times or so, and drag the duplicates to the group you've created. Then, when you go to print, you will have a sheet of 20 or so duplicate labels. If you want to save it to repeat this task later, you can select "save as PDF" in the print menu, and simply print the PDF file next time. (assuming you use the same size labels next time, of course) Then, don't forget to delete the umteen duplicates from address book, taking care not to delete the original.
    Not the perfect solution, but it gets the job done. Maybe somebody wants to make an automator action that will do this?

    Label Printing Using Address Book - How can I Print multiple labels of the same name?

    I used to be able to print multiple copies of the same picture on one page using iphoto. There was a customise button when you went through to print and it was there somewhere. I can't see it anymore - maybe since an upgrade.
    It's gone. But as a work-around, duplicate your photo (⌘D) to create as many versions as you want copies and select all at once. Then use the "Custom" print layout and set the photo size you want.
    After printing, trash the added versions.

  • Can I print Dymo labels directly from Address Book?

    That would be cool. But I end up launching Dymo's crap app and cutting and pasting every address into a label I want to print.

    I agree with the previous posts that Dymo's Label Software is satisfactory when you choose to use Apple's Address Book app. However, I frequently want to print a single label from Address Book, and I don't like to waste time launching Dymo's app and scrolling (no search function!) through my addresses.
    Here's the solution I have used to print a single address label from Address Book (v. 3.1.2) to my LabelWriter Twin Turbo:
    (1) With the address selected in Address Book, got to File > Print ...
    (2) Choose "Dymo Labelwriter" from the Printer drop-down menu
    (3) Under the "Layout" tab (not "List"), be sure "Dymo" & "Shipping Labels" is selected from the Page drop-down. (It seems counter-intuitive to select shipping labels when you're printing address labels, but it's the only workaround I've found, and you'll modify the margins in step #4.)
    (4) Now select "Define Custom ..." from the Page drop-down menu and give it a new name (e.g. "Dymo Address") (+At this point, the label preview on the left should look like a big shipping label still+.)
    (5) Modify the margins of your custom page layout (in inches) to Top=1.200 Bottom=0.000 Left=0.500 Right=0.250
    (6) Print a sample copy and adjust margins to suit your needs
    If you wonder why this circuitous route works, +so do I+. If you don't want to read my proposed explanation, simply follow the steps above and stop reading. If you'd like to know what I think is happening, feel free to read on:
    As best I can discern, Address Book is sending the print job to the Labelwriter, assuming the label spool is *centered on the spindle*. As you know, that's not the case. However, when you tell Address Book you're printing on a large shipping label, which takes up most of the spindle anyway, you can then adjust the margins (esp. the top margin) to print only on the "bottom half" of the shipping label. That means you've defined margins suitable to print on the actual address labels installed on the left side of the spindle.

  • Dymo label manager 450 wont print from labview

     Hello all ...I have a weird problem.....I can print a .txt file fine from windows out to my new Dymo label manager 450 printer on a usb port . When I try to let my labview application print out to the same exact printer-usb port  it sounds like its immediately printing out the label yet it just spits out a totally blank label ?  If I take the same EXACT labview program on the same machine and simply redirect it out to a network printer it prints out the file fine ?  What am I doing wrong ? Thanks J.

    Nadim...thanks for jumping in...it looks like to me the labview application cannot handle printing to a 1/4 " label.....the margins default to 1 inch by 1inch by 1 inch by 1 inch for top bottom left right margins on the labview REPORT  icon .  Whenever I change the margins in the labview icon by doing a create -control ---it wont even try to print a lblank label out anymore when I change them to something less than 1 inch default....after running it just says -denoted with a red x ~margins invalid in the labview margin control window   ....so it looks like I break it when going to something smaller than an inch to a 1/4 inch label.......strangely if I print out a .txt file to the dymo printer from "windows"  it prints fine and also when I take the same exact LABVIEW program and run it out to a network printer- using full sheets of paper -it prints fine and the margins there are LRTB 1 inch ......  .help ......jfk .

  • Dymo label only prints correctly on development PC

    Greetings,
    I am trying to get a Dymo 30374 appointment card label to work in an app that uses CR.  Note this is not an app I have built but a purchased app that uses CR v.9 for its reports.
    This label is 3.5" wide x 2" tall.  The report prints exactly right on my development PC with CR 8.5 and CR 10 installed.  If I take the report file to a target computer running that app, the label prints only on the bottom one inch of the form.  The target computer prints other CR reports from this purchased app all the time.  Those reports format correctly.  It is only the Dymo label reports I have trouble with.  I have updated Dymo drivers on the target computer and verified it had the same driver version I have on my development PC.  The drivers don't seem to be a variable.  There is something about using the Dymo on a PC that doesn't have CR installed that causes the problem.  I set the printer to the Dymo in the CR report and specify the label type in the paper size using Print Setup.  My first attempt at this was using CR 2008.  The vendor distributes CR 9 DLL's with the app, so they suggested using an earlier version of CR.  I have CR 10 and I tried that without success.  The vendor suggested I used a version earlier than 9 since CR is supposed to be backward compatible.  I have CR 8.5, so I used it on the final attempt.  The vendor is stumped and so am I.
    Here are some specifics:
    Computers: Windows XP Pro SP3
    Printer type: Dymo Labelwriter 400 Turbo
    Label type: 30374 Appointment card
    If anyone has suggestions, I am wide open.
    Best regards to all,
    Mike

  • Print multiple label  in SAP BusinessOne

    Hi,
    Is there any way to print the multiple labels in  single A4 size paper .
    Thanks,
    Y.

    Hi,
    If you are using Crystal Reports,
    there is an option to create a report of label type. There you can specify you label size an create a format accordingly.
    Then you can use a A/4 size for printing which will print multiple labels on one A/4 paper automatically based on you data.
    Thanks

  • Sapscript - print out seperate labels for multiple delivery items

    Hello,
    we do have an output type that prints barcode labels for deliveries (VL02n).
    Now if there are more than one delivery item on the delivery, it will only print out a label for the first item.
    How can I trigger that all items will be printed out on a seperate label each?
    thanks
    Anne

    Hi,
    Just open the script which prints the lables and check for the variable name used for label printing
    Check the script for variables and pass the value to that avriables and those to be declred in your print/driver program.
    when you call write_from in the loop  there you give a window name what ever the value in the variable it will pass to script

  • Printing Multiple Copies of Same Image on Multiple Pages

    I have Photoshop Elements 11 on a Windows 8 platform.  I can NOT get it to print multiple copies of the same file on multiple pages.  I need one file printed on one page multiple times.  I have tried the CTRL-ALT-SHIFT and nothing changes.  It still just prints one and is done.
    I use this for label printing, so I need it to print more than one copy at a time.  It also is not saving the settings, so everytime I hit print, I have to readjust the print requirements.  This just is not going to work when you need to print a few hundred copies at a time.

    You can create your own picture package, if none of the options in the PSE print window>Type of Print work for you. Just make a blank file, copy/paste your image and alt drag it to make multiple copies. You can use the move tool to position things as you want them.
    Generally speaking, though, for something like label printing, it's simplest to use PSE to create the image, then use your word processing/desktop publishing program to print the actual labels.

  • Dymo labels javascript (API) issue

    Hi all.
    APEX 4.2
    11gR2 XE database.
    I'm trying to print labels directly from APEX via a JS library from DYMO (DYMO label framework for javascript).
    I would like to fetch the XML for the label layout dynamically from the database instead of fixed assigning this in JS, that way I can store all the templates for labels in the database and fetch the appropriate one for the task I'm doing ).
    If I use the fixed code it works fine, code looks like this ( label XML layout is assigned to labelxml variable in the first few lines ) :
    function printadres(labeltext )
        try
    var labelxml = '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>\
        <DieCutLabel Version="8.0" Units="twips">\
            <PaperOrientation>Landscape</PaperOrientation>\
            <Id>Address</Id>\
            <PaperName>30252 Address</PaperName>\
            <DrawCommands/>\
            <ObjectInfo>\
                <TextObject>\
                    <Name>Text</Name>\
                    <ForeColor Alpha="255" Red="0" Green="0" Blue="0" />\
                    <BackColor Alpha="0" Red="255" Green="255" Blue="255" />\
                    <LinkedObjectName></LinkedObjectName>\
                    <Rotation>Rotation0</Rotation>\
                    <IsMirrored>False</IsMirrored>\
                    <IsVariable>True</IsVariable>\
                    <HorizontalAlignment>Left</HorizontalAlignment>\
                    <VerticalAlignment>Middle</VerticalAlignment>\
                    <TextFitMode>ShrinkToFit</TextFitMode>\
                    <UseFullFontHeight>True</UseFullFontHeight>\
                    <Verticalized>False</Verticalized>\
                    <StyledText/>\
                </TextObject>\
                <Bounds X="332" Y="150" Width="4455" Height="1260" />\
            </ObjectInfo>\
        </DieCutLabel>';
              var label = dymo.label.framework.openLabelXml(labelxml);
              // set label text
              label.setObjectText("Text", labeltext);
              // select printer to print on
              // for simplicity sake just use the first LabelWriter printer
              var printers = dymo.label.framework.getPrinters();
              if (printers.length == 0)
                   throw "No DYMO printers are installed. Install DYMO printers.";
              var printerName = "";
              for (var i = 0; i < printers.length; ++i)
                   var printer = printers;
                   if (printer.printerType == "LabelWriterPrinter")
                        printerName = printer.name;
                        break;
              if (printerName == "")
                   throw "No LabelWriter printers found. Install LabelWriter printer";
              // finally print the label
              label.print(printerName);
         catch(e)
              alert(e.message || e);
    but when I try to fetch the same XML from a text field on my form it fails with a "getObjectByNameElement(): no object with name 'Text' was found" error which is a custom error from the DYMO library.
    I'm unable to find the big difference in the 2 approaches. If I test the variable labelxml by putting it in an alert the value seems fine ( it contains the XML string which is in P11_LABELTEMPLATE which is exactly the same as the static assigned text in the previous example ).
    The code then looks like this :function printadres(labeltext )
    try
              var labelxml = $v('P11_LABELTEMPLATE'); // This is the dynamic assigment which somehow fails
              var label = dymo.label.framework.openLabelXml(labelxml);
              // set label text
              label.setObjectText("Text", labeltext);
              // select printer to print on
              // for simplicity sake just use the first LabelWriter printer
              var printers = dymo.label.framework.getPrinters();
              if (printers.length == 0)
                   throw "No DYMO printers are installed. Install DYMO printers.";
              var printerName = "";
              for (var i = 0; i < printers.length; ++i)
                   var printer = printers[i];
                   if (printer.printerType == "LabelWriterPrinter")
                        printerName = printer.name;
                        break;
              if (printerName == "")
                   throw "No LabelWriter printers found. Install LabelWriter printer";
              // finally print the label
              label.print(printerName);
         catch(e)
              alert(e.message || e);
    I'm not sure if this is an APEX or JS question/problem but I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
    Regards

    Hello Bas,
    >> P11_LABELTEMPLATE
    There is a possibility that the actual value of P11_LABELTEMPLATE is escaped. Try to use the Session popup window to check the value of the item.

  • Dymob 450 Turbo labelwriter changes page widths and now only prints webpages as labels

    I am running 3.6.8 on a pc-based desktop.

    I tried to print a webpage using firefox and it has truncated the page to the width of the labelwriter.
    I've gone in and changed the printer margins in firefox, have reduced the scale and it still will only print 1 1/8" X 3.5" size sections.
    I'm positive that I've selected the brother printer to print, not the dymo printer.

    Shiva,
    As I mentioned earlier, the reason we printed on A4 is to check if it is printed properly - margins on the top, right, left etc. And it printed fine.
    So when I speak about the actual problem it's on the label printer. The label printer seem to take extra margin on the top. That's exactly the issue I am facing now. I just came across the following thread which talks about a similar issue. May be I need to check the label type defined in the drivers.
    Printing on Dymo LabelWriter 400
    Any inputs?
    Thanks,
    Anil

  • Printing multiple copies per page, not multiple pages per sheet

    How can I print multiple copies of page per sheet of paper?
    I've got an image or PDF that I'd like to print 4 or more of per sheet of paper. But it can easily fit on one sheet. When I choose to print 4 copies and in the Layout section choose 4 copies per page what I get is for pages printed out with the image scaled down to a quarter of a page.
    What I'd like is the one image scaled down and printed 4 times on a single piece of paper.

    I don't completely believe that this is completely
    due to the drivers from the printer manufacturer.
    Nor did I say that it is. The software from which the doc is being printed is
    even more important re page layout options.
    Your statement of "It is a function of the printer driver..." is what led to that misunderstanding.
    I completely agree that the idea of 'print to PDF' is misleading and that I was mislead that all the print dialog options (like the quartz filters that do work in outputting to PDF and the # of copies that do not) should apply to creating PDF files using the print dialogue. It now says 'save to PDF' in 10.4 instead of 'output' or 'print'. I think some of my confusion is carrying over from UI decisions in 10.3.
    Obviously it wasn't designed to work this exact way
    or it would work this exact way.
    I have no idea what this statement means.
    It's stating the obvious in reply to your statement of the obvious ("the feature you are trying to use isn't designed to work that way."). If it were designed to work in the manner that I was wanting it perform I would have never posted a question about it.
    You can say it's not commonly done and that would
    apply to anything other than printing off one full
    sized copy of any single page. Using Quartz filters
    isn't "commonly done" but it's available.
    Not true... mailing labels, multipage spreads, thumbnails, reductions/
    enlargements, ad infinitum are far more frequently done than printing
    the same content on the same sheet multiple times. As I said, however,
    there are provisions for doing so when the need arises.
    You missed the point. Functionality is presented that is far less utilized than what I was desiring to do on this platform/set of applications as compared to other platforms/sets of applications. This is why I specifically mentioned the quartz filtering. I have personally met only one other person who uses quartz filtering yet I know over a dozen that want to print in the manner I originally posted about.
    I'm sure you have seen such results & I have done
    the exact same type of output hundreds of times on
    both Windows & Mac platforms as well as others...
    but not in the manner you are attempting to get it
    done. As you've found out, that just doesn't work.
    And I've seen it performed in the manner I was attempting, furthering the frustration.
    In any program you typically do specify page layout
    before number of copies... in fact, that is the cruxt of the
    issue. But getting the same content to repeat on a single
    page is not a matter of page layout and is not a function
    of the print operation unless you're dealing with commercial
    devices.
    I guess I've just been spoiled by those big office Xerox machines. I never thought of that functionality being at all special in any way.
    Thank you for the assistance.
