Printing multiple format/language in one submission

I'm new to XML Publisher and want to bounce my understanding off of someone to see if I'm understanding things. I have been requested to have one concurrent manager request submitted that will print all of the days invoices in the proper language and format.
Following is my understanding - please verify:
1. I think I need a RTF template per language/format. I can register one "Template" but assign multiple RTF formats based on Lang/Territory.
2. I could allow the user to submit one request and it would execute a PL/SQL procedure that would submit multiple XML Report Publisher requests with the appropriate language and territory parameters so the correct RTF is used.
3. The part I'm not so sure about is how to generate the XML Data. I'm thinking that I would have to actually submit a language/territory specific XML Data generation process before the XML Report Publisher process and feed that request id to the XML Report Publisher process.
4. Question: is it wise to use the existing Oracle Report with output type XML to do #3 since it is already built and has all of the invoice logic in it?
Any and all feedback on the above is greatly appreciated.
Carl

You can use the existing report logic to get the data out in XML format as you mentioned.

• How do I print multiple pages (2) to one A4 page?

Hi folks,
How do I print multiple pages (2) to one A4 page (as you can in a PDF) ?
There is no option when I try to print & I have checked advanced etc. I have tried opening as a PDF. I have tried printing to PDF but it won't allow.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly welcomed - I don't fancy printing the whole 188 pages, but I need them all!
Thanks,

Hi Chris,
Try this, and if you have any trouble get back and we'll trouble shoot, but I think it will work for you.
Open System Preferences.
Select Print & Scan
Click on your printer under Printers in the left pane
Click "Open Print Queue", on the right
The print queue app will appear on your Dock
Open a Finder window containing your files to be printed and select them all
Drag the files from Finder to Print Queue icon in Dock

• How do I print multiple (4) photos on one page with a border around each?

How do I print multiple photos on one page with a border around each? I've gone the contact sheet route and adjusted the number of columns but there's only outer margins and very little white space between the photos down the middle of the page.

Ok, now I feel stupid! I always thought I was printing 6 x 4 but now I realise I can't have done!!
The photos that I used to print are approx. 5.2" x 4" (i.e. 4 fitted nicely on a page & I had to cut the boarder off).
I guess I just need to play with different sizes under the 'custom' option in order to get the biggest possible picture!
Thanks for the help

• Print multiple Transfer Orders on one output

Hi All
I am having trouble in getting the correct config for printing multiple Transfer Orders on the same output.
As part of our warehouse supervision there are occasions when we need to move materials from one bin to another. Individual materials can be moved using LT01 which prints the transfer order correctly.
However, when we need to move several materials we use LT10. This prints the Transfer Orders individually. Is there a way to have just one output that lists all the materials? So it would be one transfer order with multiple item lines
Thansk in advance
Darren

Hi Darren,
Thanks for your update.
I also didn't fix this issue.
But in LT10 screen: if you change the radio button from Quant to Storage bin you will only get one combined TO per bin instead of individual TO’s per quant. The steps assume the materials are going to the same storage bin. But if the user need the option to choose by line item and putaway to a specific bin,it seems can not meet their requiements. It may need development.
Thank you and good luck!

• Merge print multiple image files on one page

Hello,
A Windows 7 end user seeks for a technical support from me. She tries to merge print multiple image files (JPEG) by using the following steps :-
1) highlight more than 1 files
2) [Right-click] then Choose [Print]
3) she could print the multiple images on ONE page successfully when she initially bought/used this Win7 computer , but recently (these 2 months) she got the error : pop up a few dialogue windows saying "Insufficient memory"
4) I helped her to close all other applications software and found no high CPU/memory processes and also asked for help from hardware manufacturer and got NO virtual memory and physical memory full error by running a utility tool provided.
The hardware config :-
- Windows 7 Prof Service Pack 1 64 bit
- 4GB memory
- i5 Intel CPU
Anyone can help me to fix the issues for my end user ?
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Bruce

Hi Bruce,
In addition to above suggestions, this issue can also be caused by corrupted user registry key.
Please test the issue in new user accout.
If the issue doesn't happen under new user profile, I suggest you repair corrupted user profile:

• How do I use Address Book to print multiple labels using just one address?

Hi. I'm trying to print multiple address labels using the same address on each label, but I'm stuck trying to make this happen in Address Book. Can anyone help?
Thanks!

The work-around that I've found to solve this issue is to create a new group in address book, then duplicate the contact 20 times or so, and drag the duplicates to the group you've created. Then, when you go to print, you will have a sheet of 20 or so duplicate labels. If you want to save it to repeat this task later, you can select "save as PDF" in the print menu, and simply print the PDF file next time. (assuming you use the same size labels next time, of course) Then, don't forget to delete the umteen duplicates from address book, taking care not to delete the original.
Not the perfect solution, but it gets the job done. Maybe somebody wants to make an automator action that will do this?

• Is it possible to print multiple InDesign pages on one sheet?

Say I have a 10 page InDesign document. Each page is fairly small. When I go to print out those proofs, can I print all 10 pages on one sheet of paper? Or do I have to copy each layout separately onto a new document to group them? Just to save paper really.

I agree. That's not gonna happen even with Feature Request...everybody loves drop shadow...
are you kidding me?
That horrible drop shadow bar adds no value to thumbnail prints and causes designers to have to trim the prints to the thin line page edge that prints. With the bar under the thumbnail, it interferes with page design decisions, which is really the whole point of printing thumbnails--to save paper while quickly evaluating the design of the page.
It would also be helpful to have thumbnail print options galore, for printing miniature booklets with pagination controls, etc., for little samples we could give to our clients.
If the InDesign software engineers would add realistic drop shadow controls for thumbnails, that would be fine. But designers still want the ability to turn off the thumbnails.
KILL THE WORTHLESS DROP SHADOW BAR AND PLEASE GIVE US MORE THUMBNAIL PRINTING OPTIONS.

• Printing multiple dashboard pages into one pdf

Hey guys,
I know this is not offered as standard but I was wondering if there was any way to do this.
Two methods i'm wondering about are:
- Create another page with a javascript "print" button which grabs information from each page and prints to one pdf.
- Create another page that holds a static copy of all analysis' in the other pages.
The reasons I need to do this is that we originally had 30 analysis' running on 1 page which was destroying performance and killing our servers.
To rectify this, i have split the report out over numerous pages but the users still want to only print once.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Adam

Hi,
Ok your condition is very tricky.
Just Try this if this works.
Create many sections in the dashbaord like say 4. Divide you reports into 4 sections and place it in each section.
Use condition in each Section. Have an extra filter in your main dashboard. having pages 1,2,3,4 as selections.
conditions should be used as : if user seletcs 'page 1' in promt then only 1 section should be visible. after Section 1 is exucuted and printed ,  if user selcts 'Page 2' then 2 secions wll be visible.
here user can select one by one to reduce the load on the server.
fibally if you select 'Page 4' all the reports will be visible togther. now you can print to PDF.
Mark if helps.

Hi,
That can be done easily using the Booklet feature of the printer driver.
Open the PDF in Adobe Reader, then clcik on File > Print.
Click the Properties button.
Within the Layout tab check the radio option next to Booklet, you may keep the draw borders box checked or uncheck it as you prefer.

• How to print multiple identical-copies in one single page?

Hi all,
I need to print several copies of the same image in one single page. I've tried the following:
- selecting the layout 4-pages in one.
- printing 4 copies.
However, this produce 4 physical pages, with the miniaturized image.
No way to get 4 copies of the same image in the same page.
Very thanks in advance,
Jonatan

jonatanc, welcome to Apple Discussions.
Is the "image" you wish to print a picture image like a .jpg?
I do this many times when I want to print 4 images on letter size photo paper. I use Photoshop Elements, but you could probably use most any graphic application.
I do a Select All & Copy of the image. Then open a new file with a letter size. I then paste the image on the page 4 times & move the image towards the 4 corners of the page. Then print.
 Cheers, Tom

• How can i print multiple pages(pdf) on one sheet?

I have a HP Photosmart 5515. Thank you!

Hi,
Sorry I can't work out your question BUT if you wish to merge many pdf files to one pdf file you can use this free program (download from the following link):
       http://www.pdfsam.org/?page_id=32
This program also allows you to split one big unprotected pdf file to many smaller pdf files such as extract few chapters from a thick book.

• Can I create a PDF fillable form that allows form multiple entries and one submission?

For example, I would like to enter new hire information for multiple new hire employees and only click the submit button once.

Good Morning Randy -
Sorry for not giving you a clear enough description. I was trying to avoid a novel.
I hope to use FORMSCENTRAL for create a form for on-line users to register for meetings including paying via paypal.  Some of the people register and pay for the meeting by themselves and others are registered by their office assistant, so there might be as many as 25-30 people.
The individual registrants are easy and doable with FORMSCENTRAL.
However, for the multiple registrants, I would like to create a form that can handle multiple registrants and only one submission for payment.  So far, I have  only been able to do that by creating a form that has the registrant fields created multiple times.  I would really like to be able to have the set of fields created once unless I need to add the set of fields multiple times.  I am sure that complications keeping track of the total payment due as well.
Being able to set-up a table with the fields across (left to right) for each registrant would be good.
Maybe this does not explain it well enough in which case, I can call and explain our need.
Thanks in advance.

• Printing Multiple images on one sheet of paper ( Printer Package)

I want to print multiple different images on one sheet of paper using PhotoShop 6 Printer Package, (operating system windows7 h/p)  I have figured out how to get multiple images of the same image on one sheet, but not two different images.
I seen these instructions on the web and can do 1.2.3....4.  has me lost.  I think this may work for me, unless there is another method that is easier.
Important: Mac OS X users much first apply an update to Photoshop before attempting to customize the Picture Package layouts. Information and and a download link can be found at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/ (Thank you Matt Jones for this tip!)
Copy the next five lines and paste them into a text editor, like NotePad or SimpleText:
I 8 10
Letter (3) 4x6
0 0 6 4
0 4 4 6
4 4 4 6
Name this file FourBySixes.txt
Copy the file to your Adobe\Photoshop X.0\Presets\Layouts folder where X represents your version of Photoshop.
Open Photoshop and try it!
I copyed  #3 and save to my documents, but I can't figure out how to do #4, or where the Adobe X.0\ Presets\Layout folder is at, if you could dumb this down for me I would be very grateful.
thanks

I can only guess that Photoshop 6 under Win7 would have the layouts under Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop 6\Presets or thereabouts.  This is the Photoshop Elements forum,  you may want to try the full Photoshop forum: http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop/photoshop_windows
