Printing multiple images on a single sheet

Hi everyone.
I haven't been able to do this, nor find help about it. I need to print various images, each having its specific dimensions, onto a single 13 x 19 in sheet. The closest I've come to, was using the book module, dropping the images onto a single page with various image placeholders. But, in that case, I have not been able to fix the exact dimensions of each of these placeholders.
Thanks for any help.

To the best of my knowledge there is no equivalent to the Photoshop "picture package" printing. I was hoping for this feature with 2.0, but alas it did not appear. In addition to the book layouts, you can try printing light tables. I have found that this works pretty well for photo montages. Some of the problems with using light tables for this type of work is that the user has almost no control over the light table size and shape (it is growing whenever you move an image close to the light table edge) and also the light table will not allow for more than one copy of an image (so the technique works for photo montages, but not picture packages). Just make sure you position the images such that the general shape of them together represents the paper shape (rectangular or square), then right-click on the light table background and select "minimize size" to get ride of the extra light table area in the periphery. Finally select File->Print Light Table. Once you pick the paper size, Aperture will resize the images as needed. Unfortunately, the user has no control over each image's size, only the image size relative to the paper and the other images on the light table. A kludgy solution, but it works for some applications.

• How can I print multiple pictures on a single sheet?

Today 3/27/2012 I tried downloading HP software that says it has a new feature that allows printing multiple pictures on a single sheet of photopaper.  The download started and halted at only one square and sat there flashing for hours, meaning it wasn't downloading on my Pavilion desktop computer.  Since it's a new feature (apparently), no wonder no one as yet has asked this question and so I doubt if anyone has the answer.  But, I'll wait to see.

You are probably going to get help by posting in the iPhoto forum. You can easily locate it by clicking on Apple Support Discussions on the top left of this page then navigating to the iPhoto forums.

• Printing multiple pages on a single sheet with SAPScript

Hello,
I am using SAPScript on ECC 6.0. We currently have a form which occupies the top half of an A4 sheet of paper. The form is printed on pre-printed stationary provided by the government. The government has now issued a new version of the pre-printed stationary which allows a single page to contain the form twice. The form is a with-holding tax receipt that we issue to a vendor.
We now wish to use this stationary to print 2 different instances of the form to a single sheet. The different instances will be for different vendors and have different contents. The stationary is provided perforated so we can split them apart after printing.
Does anyone know how to make SAPScript print 2 instances of a form to a single sheet of paper using a laser printer?
Thanks in advance,
Ben

Hi Ben,
Use this control command in the sap script main window and split the main window into two parts. This will solve your problem. If you require further info please let me know.
/: NEW-WINDOW
Use of this command is as described below.
Each page can consist of up to 99 main windows. Each main window is assigned a consecutive identifying number (0..98), and the windows are filled in this order. This feature enables SAPscript to print labels and to output multi-column text. When one main window fills up, the next main window on that page is taken, if there is a next one. A page break is inserted after the last main window.
You can use the NEW-WINDOW command to call the next main window explicitly, even if the current main window is not yet full.
OR****************************************
You can call this script control command through your printprogram after filling your first instance of main window using function module CONTROL_FORM.
reward if helpful.

• Preview in Yosemite has lost option to print multiple images on a single page?

I used to be able to select all thumbnails from sidebar in Preview, then print them on a single page - the options went from 2 up to 16 images per page I think.  This seems no longer an option.  Am I missing something?

I found it - expand the 'details' option in the 'print' window, then click on the drop down field which defaults to 'preview' (below the page orientation options) and select 'layout'.  At that point you can select to print more than one image per page.  Ok, then.

• Help printing multiple images

I have all my images stored in Aperture. When I try to print (output/print image), I get a nice print dialogue box. I do not seem to have the option to print multiple images on a single page. With XP, there was a 'print wizard' that would allow me to choose a paper size, and then fill that paper with images (ex. 3 x 4x6 on a 8x10). I would also use MS Digital Imaging Suite to print multiple images on a single paper.
I am somewhat new to the Mac experience, maybe I'm not looking in the right place.
Please help me with this

While I am not familiar with Aperture, the print dialog box for Preview should be quite similar. If you have the full options showing, by clicking on the expansion triangle near the top right, the option to print N-up will be at the bottom of the dialog box. In order to do that, you need to have more than one photo selected for printing., of course. Then you should be able to adjust the layout and size of your photos.

• Printing multiple images on single page

Can anyone explain how to print multiple images on the same page such as 4-4x6 photos? Or the same image more than once on a page - similar to the N-up option in iPhoto? Anything new and helpfull for printing in 1.5? Thanks.

No, it isn't what we're looking for.
Let's take the example of a professional portrait photographer (me? ) trying to set up a home-lab with a wide format, roll printer.
I get an order for, say, 2 4x5 of image 1, 2 4x5 of image 2, 4 5x7 of image 3. I have 10" paper loaded in my roll.
What I would want to do is gang the prints onto 3 "units" - the 4 4x5 on one 8"x10" unit, and 2 5x7 on each 7"x10" unit.
Since my clients ordered specific sizes, I need to make sure I get the prints sized exactly right (contact sheet tool doesn't let me do this) and since printing is pricey, I want to make sure to waste as little paper/ink as possible. I also don't want to get stuck doing a lot of trimming.
So, in lightroom, photoshop, imagebuddy, portraits-n-prints etc, I would just ask the app to output the package for me. In Aperture, I'm stuck. I can't use the book tool because it uses a (moronically) fixed page-size. I can't use the contact sheet tool because it doesn't let me specify image size/aspect ratio. I can't use the "standard" print tool because it only prints one image per page.
This is a glaring omission, and a slap in the face to the professionals that Aperture claims to see as its target audience.

• Printing Multiple Images 4x6 in CS4

Hello Folks,
I use LR 2.0 to edit my photo images and want to print a "batch" of edited 4x6 images all landscape using CS4 on my Epson 2880 printer. However it seems that all I can print is (1) image at a time, is this true?
I've read a help file on printing using "automate" and selecting a folder of images which I have tried but there is no template for 4x6 images. I tried to create and save a new one that is 4x6, but that will still not work, only able to print one image.
Can anyone help with this?
Thanks for any info provided.

I hope that's a typo, Jim.
You really want different images on one and the same single 4x6 sheet of paper?? !!  I don't think so…
If you mean, multiple prints of the same image, just input the number of copies in the printer driver dialog box.
If you mean different 4x6 images on a single, larger sheet of paper (say letter-size). then Picture Package is exactly what you want.  See this link in order to learn what must be done to restore Picture Package to CS4, as that functionality, present in CS3 and earlier versions, was removed from the default installation of CS4.

No, I don't think so.  But Google might help, if it's at all possible to automate Picture Package completely, down to the level of selecting sets of three images succesively (to fit on an 8.5 x 11 sheet, letter size).
Use keywords like Photoshop picture package automate script to search Google.

• Photoshop Elements 11 - how to print multiple images on a 4x6 print

Using a Mac, what is the best way to print multiple images on a 4 x 6 print in Photoshop Elements 11?  Thanks!

You could also make a contact sheet with these settings (note the layout on the right side):
On a mac you can save this contact sheet and then just switch out the photos next time. (I did a horizontal layout but you could also do a vertical one by changing which number is where.)

• Can I have multiple images on a single USB drive?

I would like to save an image from my T400 (XP), then upgrade the hard drive to an SSD, then upgrade the OS to Windows 7 (or 8), and take another image.
I have several questions that I hope someone can help me with...
Can I use Rescue and Recovery to save multiple images to a single USB drive?
If so, how does the sw keep the files separate?
Will it still work if I use two different Rescue and Recovery versions (4.3 for XP, and 4.5 for W7)?
Is there a way to store the images in separate folders on the USB drive, or is that unnecessary?
Is there a better way to do this (including using different sw)?
Thanks in advance,
Ron
Solved!
Go to Solution.

If you open Disk Management, you'll see Disk 0 with more than one partition. If you want to rebuild a HD back the same you'll want all or at least two of the partitions. You'll notice the Active Boot partition is not C the Windows drive but a partition called System_Drv (at least in my system). Those two will be mandatory when you image a new drive. Otherwide you'll have some fixing with external tools to get it booting.

• Printing many checks on a single sheet

Is it possible to print more than one check on a single piece of paper?
The requirement is just to print cheques, and not provide address details or remittance details.
has anyone done this before?
Is there some logic that will stop this?

Hi,
Are you talking about printing duplicate check details on a single sheet or the original checks on a single sheet. Are you using the check stationery supplied from the Bank or is it somethng else.
If you wish to print original checks on the pre printed stationery supplied by the bank, then you cannot print many checks on a single sheet
But if you wish to print duplicate chekcs on a single sheet, you have to co ordinate with your abap consultant who can help you further. I am not sure if this can be possible as the checks are printed page wise.
hope this helps

1) highlight more than 1 files
2) [Right-click] then Choose [Print]
3) she could print the multiple images on ONE page successfully when she initially bought/used this Win7 computer , but recently (these 2 months) she got the error : pop up a few dialogue windows saying "Insufficient memory"
4) I helped her to close all other applications software and found no high CPU/memory processes and also asked for help from hardware manufacturer and got NO virtual memory and physical memory full error by running a utility tool provided.
The hardware config :-

• How can I print multiple images on one sheet:  PSE 10/Mac?

When printing, I can have all of my images in the dialoug box - but cannot figure out how to get more than one image on a sheet!  For example, I am printing several photos a 2x2, and want to put as many as possilble on 1 sheet instead of using a seperate sheet for each image.  I am on a Mac.
Any ideas??  I can't seem to find the answer.  Thanks!

Barbara B.
Thanks for the reply to wdwpartners question.
I am new to PSE 10 (on Windows 7) and having the same problem with printing multiple photos on one sheet.  With 14-20  images both contact sheet and picture package force you into 2x2 prints, not the image's original HxW ratio thus loosing some of the image on paper.  Am I missing something?
My old version of PSE gave me an option to "print multiple photos" and custom select the image dimentions which was very useful to me.  Please let the powers that be know this user asked for that option back!!
Thanks for a reply.

• How do i print multiple images on one sheet in Photoshop CC?

I can't even seem to select more than one image, surely there must be an easier way than using Layers to create a collage? I have used Easy-PhotoPrint EX package until now but I need something more professional now? Do you print multiples from Photoshop or some other package? I am able to size and print a single image but not multiples on the same page? I print lots of photos so can't do the layer thing each time.

Your joking of course right not using layers in Photoshop is a capital offence.
A video showing a 5 image collage PSD template  being populates with images: http://www.mouseprints.net/old/dpr/Populate911_720p.mp4
also check out Paste Image Roll Script and Picture Package Support
Photo Collage Toolkit
Photoshop scripting is powerful and I believe this package demonstrates this.
The package includes four simple rules to follow when making Photo Collage Template PSD files so they will be compatible with my Photoshop scripts.
Size the photo collage templates for the print size you want - width, height and print DPI resolution.
Photo collage templates must have a Photoshop background layer. The contents of this layer can be anything.
Photo collage templates must have alpha channels named "Image 1", "Image 2", ... "Image n".
Photo collage templates layers above the background layers must provide transparent areas to let the images that will be placed below them show through.
There are twelve scripts in this package they provide the following functions:
TestCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to test a Photo Collage Template while you are making it with Photoshop.
CollageTemplateBuilder.jsx - Can build Templates compatible with this toolkit's scripts.
LayerToAlphaChan.jsx - Used to convert a Prototype Image Layer stack into a template document.
InteractivePopulateCollage.jsx - Used to interactively populate Any Photo Collage template. Offers most user control inserting pictures and text.
ReplaceCollageImage.jsx - use to replace a populated collage image Smart Object layer with an other image correctly resized and positioned.
ChangeTextSize.jsx - This script can be used to change Image stamps text size when the size used by the populating did not work well.
PopulateCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to Automatically populate a Photo Collage template and leave the populated copy open in Photoshop.
BatchOneImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Collage templates that only have one image inserted. The Collage or Image may be stamped with text.
BatchMultiImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with images in a source image folder. Easier to use than the interactive script. Saved collages can be tweaked.
BatchPicturePackage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with an image in a source image folder
PasteImageRoll.jsx - Paste Images into a document to be print on roll paper.
PCTpreferences.jsx - Edit This File to Customize Collage Populating scripts default setting and add your own Layer styles.
Documentation and Examples
All image layer you see here required no human intervention they were all automated

• Printing Multiple images on one sheet of paper ( Printer Package)

I want to print multiple different images on one sheet of paper using PhotoShop 6 Printer Package, (operating system windows7 h/p)  I have figured out how to get multiple images of the same image on one sheet, but not two different images.
I seen these instructions on the web and can do 1.2.3....4.  has me lost.  I think this may work for me, unless there is another method that is easier.
Important: Mac OS X users much first apply an update to Photoshop before attempting to customize the Picture Package layouts. Information and and a download link can be found at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/ (Thank you Matt Jones for this tip!)
Copy the next five lines and paste them into a text editor, like NotePad or SimpleText:
I 8 10
Letter (3) 4x6
0 0 6 4
0 4 4 6
4 4 4 6
Name this file FourBySixes.txt
Copy the file to your Adobe\Photoshop X.0\Presets\Layouts folder where X represents your version of Photoshop.
Open Photoshop and try it!
I copyed  #3 and save to my documents, but I can't figure out how to do #4, or where the Adobe X.0\ Presets\Layout folder is at, if you could dumb this down for me I would be very grateful.
thanks

I can only guess that Photoshop 6 under Win7 would have the layouts under Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop 6\Presets or thereabouts.  This is the Photoshop Elements forum,  you may want to try the full Photoshop forum: http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop/photoshop_windows
