Printing my own cards

I want to print my own cards (not send them to Apple for printing) and can't seem to find a way to create double-fold cards (with the cover image on 1/4 of an 8-1/2 by 11 sheet). Can this be done? Also, is there a way to get rid of the Made on a Mac ad on the back? Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. First, you can get rid of the apple logo by clicking on the Setting button at the bottom and un-checking the box to "Include Apple logo on the back".
The cards use 7 x 10 stock. You might be able to find card stock that size somewhere or just trim down letter size card stock to that size. The fold is in the middle so it's easy to accomplish even if it's not pre-scored.
Start the print process. In the first window select your printer and print quality and then click on the advanced button. Change the Copies and Pages menu option to "Paper Handling". In the next window under "Destination Paper Size" click on the radio button for "Use documents paper size: 7.00 x 10.00 in". Then continue with the print process.

Nothing like a company giving you an option , then taking it away as an "upgrade". They could STILL give us the option of printing our own cards AS WELL as offering the own professional services. How many people use there card printing service anyway?
Don't get me wrong, I'm a dedicated mac user and there are a are a lot of great upgrades, but tis has really irked me and i WON'T be paying for the '09 upgrade.
Does anyone know of a good program for printing greeting cards?

I used to be able to -- but some software now only leads me to BUYING cards, or makes it seemingly impossible to manipulate the image so that I can see it on the size paper I will be using. How to print a greeting card

I used to print greetings cards on windows easily. I still don't know how to do it well on my MacBook. Can anyone te me how to print a folded card on a MacBook Pro using an HP color printer? On windows, there are direction on where to fold the paper so that you have a front, then open the folded paper to a message. It even let you put your own little hallmark-like logo on the back page.

You used a specialized program that did that apparently.
You can sort of mimic that using free drawing software like LibreOffice importing a picture, scaling it to fit a corner and creating text and rotating it and positioning it like so, then folding and trimming the edges, then lightly gluing it together.

There are rulers on the sides so you know where to place things and you can use a ruler when it's printed to find where to make the folds.

the required media weight is not supported by the printer.
As you may find listed within the Media Weight specification below, the printer support up to 58 lb media.
Media weight:
Tray 1: 16 to 58 lb (plain); 28 to 58 lb (glossy);
Tray 2: 16 to 43 lb (plain paper); 28 to 58 lb (glossy paper)

How to print a post card om HP4640

Hi,
I am trying to print new years card with my HP4640 on 200g' A4 size paper, but the printer wouldn't reconize the paper.
Is the paper too big? or it's something i can solve by changing the settings?

If the printer is not feeding any paper through and printing, try the steps in this guide:
'Out of Paper' Error Message and the Printer Does Not Pick Up or Feed Paper
If the troubleshooting does not help at all, and the printer will not feed paper still, I would lastly suggest technical support.

Please specify what system, (OS X 10.?)

and application you are using to print.
If you have an Intel based Mac built after 2006, you are in a pre-Intel forum.
PowerPC Macs cannot run an OS X newer than Leopard 10.5.8, in general.
And many newer applications need the Intel-based hardware, not PPC.
There are several ways of performing tasks, based on the software in use
and this changes when you may have posted in a different area than your
computer model, thus software suggestions based on this, may not apply.
As a user-to-user support community, we have no way to know what your
computer happens to be, its OS X, or the application you may be running.
Some photo card stock (paper) requires a maker's software, to set it up.
Without anything to go on, you could try an online search engine...

Hello, i'm using same version of iphoto as you unless you have upgraded. i am looking to do the same with printing my photo cards to sell at an art tour. i have made photo cards by using an 8 1/2 by 11 glossy photo paper or matte photo paper. printing each side separately. then folding it either horizontally or vertically depending on how i have designed the card...i'm looking to do a better job and am looking for it to look more professional. is there special blank card paper to make it look more professional. many thanks for your reply.

HP C4680 all in one printer out of alignement when printing avery business cards.

I recently purchased an HP C4680 all in one printer and have found
that it will not print Avery clean edge C32028-25 business cards. It
prints ok on plain paper and when you compare against the business card
sheet everything is in the correct position. However when you print the
actual cards the printed area creeps up the page and some of the print
is off the cards ruining the sheet. I am using avery design pro
software version 5. The print preview shows the printing area correctly.
Please advise of a fix for this issue.

I have the same problem with my HP Officejet Pro 8000 using Avery business cards. I don't think HP knows how to fix the problem. I was told by HP to select card stock as my paper type, but that is not on my menu. I may have to adjust my PageMaker template to counter the creep. You would think that this would be an adustment that could be made in the software. It amounts to 1/8" over the whole page. I don't plan on much help from HP since I have not received any help in the past.

How to use mdb to print my own struct info on sparc10?

I'm debugging a system panic coredump on sparce10. I tried to print my own struct with command address::print -t my_struct or address$<my_struct, but both of them didn't work. but on x86, it could work.
I have googled on internet, maybe i need to write a .mdbrc files? could anybody give me a help?

My Contact from ICloud imports only the name but not every thing else if I want to import it to Contact on my Mac. But that only happens with my own card.
Before, my V-Card in Contacts on my Mac was ok, but now it disappeared. When I try to import it from ICloud only my name appears.

The backup of your iPod Touch would include your camera roll photos. Restoring the backup to another iPod Touch or iPhone would recover them. Photos will not be restored by restoring the backup to an iPad.
Note: Apple deletes iCloud backups after 180 days of inactivity so be sure to do this before then.

Trying to print a greeting card side fold all in one 6200

I have a project using Microsoft Publisher 2007. I'm trying to print a greeting card that is a side fold. The only options I see in the print set up page is "one page or side fold quarter page". I have been able to print a card like this before and have not been able to see what settings I need to change. I know that I have to print both sides so I have to manualy turn the card paper over to print the other side. I have tried to find a answer with vista help, no luck.

Is there really no way? The box or instructions or somewhere it says you can "print greeting cards at home."

Photosmart 6520 Printer 3x5 post cards

Try to print on 3x5 post cards and cards will not feed in paper tray. Using the software on computer to select the photo tray says no to 3x5 cards and will not load paper.
How do I print them.

How do i print out membership card

there's use to be away to print out membership card for rewards, now i cant seem to do it.
tired of giving them my phone number to look it up.

The reason why you don't see the option to print a temporary My Best Buy™ membership card is because that option is not actually there. When the MyBestBuy.com website was retired back in September 2014 we moved a lot of the program functions over to BestBuy.com; however, the option to print a temporary My Best Buy™ membership card is not one of those functions that was moved over.
As of 2/1/2015, we no longer send out any physical membership cards and have gone digital. I created a thread back in February when the decision was made to go digital, which you can read via the link below. There is also guide that will show you how to access your digital membership card. Please keep in mind you don't need a membership card to attach a purchase to your account, as we can look up your account using your name and phone #.
