Printing my photoshop photo book?

How do I print my photobook? Is there a service that takes .pse format? Or how do I make it .psd for shutterfly? The order button is not available on my photoshop elements menu.

Yes there is a print service based on location. As per your post it looks your location is US as you are looking for Shutterfly.
There is an announcement from Adobe(on home page of this forum) stating Shutterfly is temporarily not available.
Once available, you will be able to order Photo Book directly and will get Order button for the selected print size.

  • How does one create a photo book of a custom size? Only option available is 11x 8.5 inches

Please help me with the basic steps for creating a photo book in pse12 of a custom size e.g. 12x15
I want to create design using pse12 and get the album printed by a local vendor. Please help. I am stuck with the fixed size offered by Adobe.
I want to create Photoshop photo book in order to spread out few single images on 2 sheets. I won't be able to do the same if I create pages separately.
    Thanks in advance.

Aha. You can't have two different page sizes in one single document.
You are right, you could do it with three separate documents, and 'glue' them together using a Book document. It's far easier to place a blank placeholder page in your actual document, and create a new doc just for the oversized page.
When the time comes to produce a final file (hopefully, a PDF), you can leave it as is -- two separate documents --, or use Acrobat to stitch the larger page into the main document (at the request of your printer).

  • POD Photo Book Vendor (Blurb, Asuka, etc.) that uses a non-proprietary PDF workflow

I am looking for a decent quality online Print-On-Demand photo book vendor who uses a HP Indigo digital press -- like Blurb, Asukabooks, Shared Ink, etc. -- except that they do NOT use some ridiculous proprietary software and they WILL take a properly prepared PDF file output from InDesign.
And not treat me like an idiot snapshot scrapbooker. I am sick of opening 100 PDF files in Photoshop and resaving them as jpgs... and so on.
Does such a business exist? Or am I left with going to commercial printers and paying four times more for a little hand-holding?

I've used lulu.com as a printer, but they recently changed their interface to be more generic to non-designers, which can be a little frustrating when you are trying to customize. Last time they checked, they also took away their "live chat help" which really helps when you are getting started. You can still e-mail specific questions. If there are some others that might be recommended, I would also be open to hearing about some others experiences with POD.

  • Can I include my faces information in a photo book?

I am using both Aperture and iPhoto to create a large genealogical photo book.
I would like to have the "Faces" information printed in a photo book.
    Is this possible?

The Faces are not part of the metadata tags that can be included automatically in the textfields. You can add keywords or captions however. If you transfer manually the faces information to the captions, or add keywords for each face, you can add this information to you genealogical photo book.

Making gorgeous photo books starts with the new, dynamic Theme browser. As you flip through the browser, you can see how your photos look in each theme. Choose the theme you like and iPhoto places all your photos in the right spots and even makes sure photos of people are cropped and framed perfectly. You can change the background color, font, layout, and more with just a few clicks. Choose your favorite photo for the book cover. Add full-bleed, two-page spreads to really show off panoramic shots. Make books big enough for the coffee table or small enough to carry around, with hardcover, softcover, and wirebound options. And make many, many copies.

  • How do I take my Photoshop Elements 11 photo book and get it printed at Shutterfly or similar?

I have just spend 40 hours working on a beautiful photo book and I cannot find how to send it to Shutterfly for printing.  I selected the Shutterfly option when i started the book, and thought there would be a simple "upload and print" command somewhere.  I can't find any help for this on line.

While you are in the edit mode of your photobook, you should see three buttons along the bottom: Order, Save, and Close. Clicking Order will send the book to Shutterfly for printing.

  • ? about image resolution/color correction when apple prints photo book

My first time making a photo book. I color correct and sharpen all of my images in Adobe Lightroom 2 first. Then I save the jpegs and import into iPhoto to make a book. Is there an option for turning off auto color correction when the file is uploaded to apple for printing? Is there an accurate way to tell how the photos will print on the specific paper they use? Also, what print resolution should the photos be set to? Is 180 dpi enough? Thanks in advance.

first read the Apple pages - http://www.apple.com/support/photoservices/preparation_tips/ - and all of its links
Second - I suspect you will be disappointed. Based on reports on these forums almost everyone who uses iPhoto exclusively to preprocess photos is extremely happy with the results. very often people you over process their photos using a third party program (including Lightroom, Photoshop, etc) are unhappy because the printing process is optimized for point and shoot cameras and iPhoto processing - it is NOT a professional desktop book process
There are no options re color correction - it is built in again aimed at sRGB, point and shoot cameras and iPhoto processing
Plus there have been reported incompatibilities between iPhoto and Lightroom
The print resolution is what it is - if it will be less than 180 dpi you will get a waarning - it can be greater
The papers they print on are specified here - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3412

  • Photo book - who can print my book in australia?

I have created a storybook from my photos in Photoshop elements and want to get it professionally printed as a book.  Places like snapfish can do it but they require you to use their software.  Does anyone know someone who will print it from a pdf or a *.pse file that I can create?  Or is there another format in elements I could use?  Ideally they would be in Australia but perhaps even overseas
    Thanks
    Mamma Mia

If there is a company out there that does this in Australia, they have a web site.  And, that web site is indexed by Google.  So go to Google and type in some key words that would be on the web site of a company that prints books for individuals.  Key words like "book," "print," "Australia," and "thermonuclear fusion" come to mind.
I've been a professional writer for 28 years, and I've heard about this sort of thing.  It's called "vanity press".  Basically, these companies will print whatever you want, and print as many copies as you want.
You may be limiting yourself too much by requiring the company to be in Australia.  Basically, why do you care where they are located?  You are going to send them one or more high-quality pdfs by e-mail.  On their web site, you are going to type in your name, address, and credit card information.  Then they will ship you as many copies of the resulting hardbound books as you have ordered.  They could be in the U.S., Canada, or Serbo-Croatia for all you care.  The shipping charge may be more, but you will have a much wider selection of venders.
The reason why I wrote "one or more high-quality pdfs" is because you probably will have a lot of pictures in your book.  It's easy to compress a large document with many pictures into a 15 megabyte file - the largest size that you can e-mail.  But you should consider whether the pictures in that compressed document are still of sufficient quality for your needs.  So open the final compressed pdf and print several of the pictures on your own printer.  Are you satisfied with the quality of these pictures?  If you aren't, then export your original document into two (or three or four) higher-quality pdfs, and send them in multiple e-mails.
You are limited to about 15 megabytes on each e-mail.  That may sound like a lot, but it disappears quickly when you deal with high-quality pictures.
As I said, I'm a professional writer.  For years, my nephew has been bugging me to tell him what I did in Vietnam.  I was an Infantry pointman in Vietnam.  I was the first one to walk down the jungle path.  I was wounded seven times.  Because of public hostility towards Vietnam veterans, I hid what I did.  So after I retired, I thought I'd just write up what I did for my nephew.  How long could it take - five or ten pages?  The problem with being a professional writer - is that you write.  The final document in InDesign was 200 pages long, and had 100 pictures.  The final document also was 57 megabytes in size.
In InDesign, you can choose how compressed a pdf of the final document will be.  You can choose a little compression, which would result in a large pdf, or a lot of compression, and a small pdf.  Since I had no intention of ever printing the document, I choose the maximum compression for the pdf.  The document size went from 57 megabytes to a pdf of 11 megabytes.  That was perfect for e-mailing to my nephew - but clearly some of the picture quality had been sacrificed.  My nephew didn't care, but the picture quality probably would have been noticeable if it had been printed into a "real book".

  • How to print a Photo Book to an online service?

How do I go about ordering a photo book from any of the on line services when the program will only save my created book in the pse file format and none of the services recognize that format.  I have tried several services and can't fine one that will allow me to upload my files in the proper way.  The services don't allow me the creativity that I bought the PSElements for.  Since losing Kodak I am stuck.  Will Elements 11 solve this problem?  I would rather not have to relearn the whole program again at this time.  Thanks for any help you can give.
Message title was edited by: Brett N

Basically, you have to create the Photo Book in the format of a print service (which print service you have availble depends on the version of Photoshop Elements you are using). If you create a Photo Book using the "Print Locally" template, you will not be able to send it to a print service because it will be in the PSE format. For PSE11, the online printer we use is shutterfly.
With a PSE file, there is a companion folder that has a PSD file for each page. These can generally be used by print services, or they can be convered to a supported file format with Process Multiple Files under the File menu.

  • How can i print just one page of photo book without printing the entire book

how can i print just one page of photo book without printing the entire book

    Jim,
    Take heart.  We can help.
First turn on page view so you can see how the content of your sheet fits on the page(s).  A Numbers document contains sheets (listed on the left) which in turn contain tables, charts, text, and graphics.  Select the sheet you want to print on the left, then enable page view by selecting the menu item:
    "View > Show Print View":
Now you should see your content and how it fits on one, or more, pages.  If thie content is too big for one page use the controls and the bottom left of the window to expose the sheet controls:
Here a table is too big to fit on one page:
slide the "Content Scale" slider so the content fits:
