Printing Normal Portrait Layout in iCal

Am I mssing something?
How do you print my iCal weekly layout in the "Normal" portrait layout?
Would like to print on "normal" 8.5x11 paper and put in 3 ring binder.
There MUST be a easy way to do this?

Jack,
try this:
Choose File/Print (command-P).
In the print dialog, change View to "List". Change "Starts" to "On Date" and set to the first day of a month. Change "Ends" to "On Date" and set to the last day of a month.
Down at options, unset all checkboxes for data you don't want to print. Choose "Continue".
Unfortunately you cannot save these settings, so you have to repeat the steps every time you want to print your calendar this way.

  • Printing in Portrait mode in iCal

I may have missed this discussion in iCal. Is it possible to print the monthly calendar in portrait mode? If so, how?

I found the following page. It works, but there are no page margins, so if you're 3-hole punching you're out of luck.

  • ICal prints in portrait view . .

Hi, I've recently installed leopard on my macbook pro that I purchased a year ago. I've just tried to print a weekly calendar and it is printing in portrait mode so half of the page is getting cut off on the side. I don't know how to go about fixing this problem.
    Any help is appreciated!

A similar issue affects our Phaser 7300. We attempt to print landscape from iCal and it chops off the edge - the calendar is moved about an inch too far to fit onto the paper. I've tried making a PDF as well and it does the same thing printing via Preview. Even if I select portrait. However it prints fine to our Samsung B/W. Both printers are networked. And in every instance it appears fine in the print preview. I've also tried printing the PDF from Acrobat and it does the same thing. Whatever the problem is, it is originating in iCal.

  • Portrait Layout of the pdf attachment in email (T-code: VL71)

    Hi all,
I have a problem with the layout of the pdf attachment in email. The sapscript layout is already set to Portrait.
When I print or preview the form, it is in portrait. but when I sent it through email, the form became LANDSCAPE layout in pdf file. I dont know what i happening. I had tried to check everything possible but just useless. Please give me some light.
    t-code = VL71
output type = LQFF (Certificate of Analysis)
I had checked T-Code: NACE, the method = 5 External Send. but there is no way to see whether the attachment is send as Portrait Layout or Landscape Layout.
I want it to be in PORTRAIT when send as attachment through External Send. How to set/configure the pdf layout when sending it through email?
Any idea & help are greatly appreciated.
    THanks.

    Hi,
It has something to do with the printer or email setting, I personally think it is not ABAPer's role to set it.
SAP Standard Print program is used. RQCAAP00
    Please help. thanks

  • Print 2:1 layout from numbers into pdf zero bytes

    Output desired
1 page landscape with page 1 and 2 side by side
Problem: zero byte output when layout changed
Hi before mavericks / last numbers update i used to be able to print a spreadsheet with 2 separate sheets on one landscape page, by choosing print-->print...>layout (2 pages per sheet), then save as PDF.  Anytime I choose anything other than 1 page per sheet the resulting PDF file has zero bytes and doesn't work.  The print preview in numbers looks correct as well as the print dialogue preview.  Something is failing in the export.  Any ideas?

    Hi lotsokids,
Just to ensure we are all singing the same tune .
A Numbers document consists of one or more sheets (tabs).
Each sheet can have one or more tables plus other objects (shapes, charts, text boxes... ).
A page is a piece of paper in your printer.
Am I right in thinking you have two tables on one sheet?
And you want to line them up within the page margins so that they both print on one page? Screen shot from Print Preview:
Numbers 3 has lost the good old Print View and Layout View of Numbers 2. We are stuck with Print Preview with limited editing options. We can set page margins, orientation (landscape or portrait), page headers and footers, print This Sheet or All Sheets. You may have to drag the Print Setup Panel up to see all the options.
To help align objects within the page margins, click on Done to close Print Preview. Then Menu > Numbers > Preferences > Rulers (and tick all boxes).
Alignment Guides can be dragged from the rulers to show page margins.
See this User Tip on creating a Layout Guide in Numbers 3:

  • "Shared with portrait layout"

    "Shared with portrait layout"
    Help needed!
Hi, I'm making a book in landscape mode, but I want to see some pictures in portrait mode.
I try in de layout section: Section pages, to get it done. But every time the "Shared with portrait layout" box is greyed out, so it doesn't work.
    What can I do?
    Best regards
    Arie

If you only intend a photo book in LS, its better to disable portrait mode. Open the Inspector and select the "book" icon first on the left. Near teh  bottom if the box you will see the tick box "Disable portrait orientation".
If you want to add photos in Portrait, simply insert a shape - then  drag and drop your prepared image and juggle with the mask to adjust the size of the image and content you want.
REMEMBER: ......if you make an image in full size which is almost full sceen - it will automatically disable "full screen" option for that image.
If you want to  have full screen for an image as an option, you have to  make your photo image smaller by perhaps 25% less than full screen.
You can trial this to optomise your reduced size -for viewing - NOT reduce the original photo image dimentions - by previewing in your iPad until you  obtain teh balance you  want on screen for  "normal" iPad viewing and then  open full page view.

For new comers to iBooks Author and  infact ALL iBA users - I  suggest you check out the new 1 hour long video iBA keynote.
Open your iTunes Coonect  page - select "Deliver your Content" and its the page along with  the other downloads.

  • I have an iPad 3 and when trying to print Pages documents from EpsoniPrint there is a border, how can I get it to print normal without sending it to my Mac?

I have both quickoffice and pages on my iPad, and when I try to print from either of those through EpsoniPrint they don't print "normal".  And pages prints with a border around it.  How can I adjust that or is there a better app for printing via wireless?  I have an epson 510, so it's wireless capable but not AirPrint.

If you have a Mac I would recommend that your install Printopia. Here is a link to it:
    http://www.ecamm.com/mac/printopia/
With Printopia, any printer that you can connect to your Mac will appear on your iPad as long as they are on the same wi-fi network. Try Printopia to see if that border goes away. Good luck!

  • Arabic Text Printing in PO Layout

    Hi,
The requirement is only "Vendor Name" mainained in Arabic language in "Name3" field of the Vendor Master, should print in Arabic Text in PO Layout Printout. PO Printing is in English. This vendor name is appearing corrrectly in Vendor Master Name3 field as we uploaded it throguh Upload program in Uni Code text. After printer setting, PO Layout is printing correctly in English & now Vendor Name3 is also printing in Arabic Text (other vendor details are in English) but Araic Vendor Name is coming as seperate charaters instead of joined arabic word. Has anybody faced this problem? Your comments are welcome.

  • Iphoto printing - preview is landscape, but prints out portrait

This is a recurring issue when I print photos.  The preview shows a landscape oriented picture, but it prints in portrait orientation. How do I correct this?
The settings for the current photo are as listed:
    Brother MCF-J425W
    US Letter
    Color
    Aspect Ratio: Custom
    Photo Size: 4.8 x 6.8
    iPhoto 9.6
    OX S Yosemite

    Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try printing again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

  • Removing line from Portrait layout

I have a line that I would like to remove. In portrait layout, Basic Template there is a vertical line between text image that is getting in the way of my two column text. Highlighted as the red vertical line below. It doesn't seem to be removable?? A workaround is to go one column and stretch the page vertically. (Too many student objectives ;-)

Did you try unlocking the line, then deleting it? Click on the line so its ends show Xs (indicating it's locked). Then on the pulldown menu Arrange>Unlock and you should be able to delete it, or move it. If you do it in Layouts, it will affect all the pages that use that layout.

  • DYMO printing in portrait instead landscape

Our DYMO Twin Turbo Labelwriter is printing in portrait instead of landscape when I print from Address Book, so the text is across the short length of the label and very small.
I've installed the latest driver (7.7.1) and reset the printing system to no avail. Any ideas?

I have spoken to DYMOs software engineers and they reproduced the problem. This has been an issue in address book since about 10.2 or 10.3. I submitted a report to apple but have not received word if it will be fixed.
The best solution I have found is to use SOHO address label software from macupdate.com which is much better than DYMOs crummy software IMHO. I think you are the only other person that has noticed this bug. It seems to only occur in printing address labels directly from Address Book.

  • Firefox will not print in portrait mode; landscape stuck even in preview mode

Firefox will not allow printing of a web page in portrait mode. Even print preview selecting portrait shows only landscape printing preview. Tried uninstalling printer, installing Firefox 4, no luck. Printing in portrait mode works fine using IE8 but I'd rather stay with Firefox.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    George

    Pages version?
Does the printer driver match the MacOS system?

    Thank you!!!

Soif we simply translated your script that uses the Acroform model to use the xfa model it shoudl work ...right?
Your code in an xfa form woudl look like this:
    var oDoc = event.target;
    var  pp=oDoc.getPrintParams();
    pp.interactive=pp.constants.interactionLevel.automatic;
    pp.printerName="\\\\TOSHIBABILLING2\\pcl6";
    oDoc.print(pp);
Try that and let us know if it worked.

  • Printing in Portrait from iCal

This is a problem in iCal - you can't print from iCal in portrait mode - that's really lame Apple.
I found a work around for the issue but why hasn't Apple fixed this??? I expect this kind of behavior from Microsoft but not from Apple, I should not have to go thru this multi step process to simply print my calendars in portrait mode. For almost two years there has been no fix from Apple, does Apple want users to not use iCal and use Entourage instead???? This needs to be fixed in Tiger and Leopard. Shame on you Apple.
Here's the workaround posted by ErikW from 2005:
