Printing Notes that were kept in iCal

I very much need to print the notes in iCal. For over 22 months now, I have been tracking information on events that need to be presented to a court. Can iCal be printed showing the notes. If I copy and paste into say Text Edit, I don't get the date (or time), unless I take a screen shot and to go back 22 months, that is going to take a lot of time. Can anyone help me out on this, I am in need of this information by mid January (08) and I would like to know if I should start taking screen shots now, and look for another calendar management application.

I'm in the same boat as you patricia. If it's any consolation, I'm not convinced our notes are lost. Even though they were embedded in Mail.app before, I am still holding out hope that they are somewhere on the hard drive and an update to Notes.app down the road will resurface them.
If you synced your notes to an iPad or iPhone, you should find your notes still there (they are for me). So in theory if you sync to another Mac with Lion or before, you should be able to bring your notes to a Mac where they can more easily be managed. (I'm personally planning to move them to a cloud service at that point. If I could I do this on Mountain Lion I would, but I can't as of yet.)
I am continuing to look at the issue from a technical perspective as well, if there is anything I find I will make sure to post it here.

  • I updated to Mavericks yesterday and my computer is exceedingly slow and the notes that were in my email have disappeared. How can I get them back??

I updated to Mavericks yesterday and since then, my computer has been exceedingly slow!
Windows and applications take forever to open. I get the spinning pinwheel of death every few minutes.
The notes that were in the email app. are gone! where are they?!

The notes are in the Notes application. Restart the computer and see whether there's an improvement in performance.

It's possible, I suppose.   Unlikely, but possible.   Someone would have to be extremely driven to fix your broken phone specifically to look at your notes though.

How do I restore NOTES that were deleted during an itunes sync from Mac mini to iPhone 5?

  • Can I recover notes that were deleted upon the removal of an email account?

I recently deleted the e-mail account of a prior employer to which was associated most of my notes in the Note app.  I had no idea that notes were even associated with each email account, but now about 50% of what I was using is simply gone.  Ironically, that email account was no longer connected to the company server as I am working elsewhere, so no backup will exist there.  I do not have an itune backup recent enough to be of any value.  The icloud and gmail accounts each have some of their own notes, but none of them have the missing notes.
So, is there any signature left of the files in the physical memeory of my ipad?  If so, is there an app which will let me look for them.  To be honest, this is kind of disappointing for apple in that quite a few folks have no idea of the association, though I should have had some more recent itune backups.  Particularly since an inactive connection to the email server automatically implies there is no backup anywhere.  I wish I would have known that tidbit.

  • I just upgraded to Mavericks.  How can I get the Notes that were in my mailbox?

Previously, before I upgraded, my mailbox had a function to create notes.  They were marked with a yellow tab, like a sticky note and appeared in my  inbox.  Now that I have upgraded, they are nowhere to be found.  Is there a way to get them?

They are in the Notes app

  • How to restore Notes that were deleted

    Hello Apple Support Communities
I have recently used Notes to write down a very important phone number, then just got out of Notes.
When I came back, my note was gone, and there was practically nothing that had my phone number.
I was, and still am sure that I had saved the Note, and this grows into a bigger problem, as I do not use Time Machine.
What do I do know? Is there like a way to revive or restore Notes?
Please reply ASAP. I need this phone number urgently.

I should mention that my notes were not being sent to icloud, my mac's time machine was not set up, and my latest back-up was 3 months ago.

  • How can I recover my notes that were deleted randomly on my phone?

Hello, I am having a problem with my white iPhone 5C, running on 8.1. The problem is, earlier around midnight or 12:30 am, I went to go insert a new note and when I went into the app, all my notes were deleted or missing. I haven't had them synced with any of my email accounts. I'm very frustrated since I had very important information in my notes section. I can do an restore from 9/17/14, but that's big of a gap and won't have any of my important information. I can do an iCloud backup that was recently backed up since 11/30/14,, but iTunes isn't allowing me to choose the iCloud backup from 11/30/14. Please help, I want to fix this and I need this information ASAP. Thank you!
PS. This is into the default notes app that was included on iPhone.

Now we're getting somewhere.  The ! is an indication that the file path/link between the thumbnails and original files has been broken. In that case try the following:  make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • Is there a way to recover notes that were deleted after turning off icloud?

I recently turned off the "notes" app from iCloud so that my iphone 5 wouldn't send those notes to all my devices. I didn't know it until quite some time later, but all of my notes are now gone. I vaguely recall seeing an email of the notes, but I can't find that email whatsoever. I tried turning the iCloud notes option back on in hopes it would reinstate in the iPhone, but no dice. I am sure that I have backed up the phone on itunes since they were deleted since it was set to auto backup when I connected my phone to my Macbook Pro. Any ideas on how, if at all possible, to recover these notes? Why did they delete at all?!

If it wasn't on the device when you last backed up then no, it's gone.  If it was backed up, you would have to reset the device (deleting all data on it) and perform a restore from the backup.

  • I am wondering if you can actually restore the notes that were lot I really don't know how to restore them and don't want tem to get lot further into the system. Can you help me because I have 256 subjects that I'm studying and now all my notes are gone.

Help me out apple support team. You guys are awesome. Well I hope you guys are awesome you have like a time machine. And like that's a huge step I'm sur you can do it.

If you did not back up to iCloud or to a computer, they are gone.
    Have you backed up?

  • Where do I find the notes that were supposed to be synched on the computer

I just did a restore and my notes did not sync...the notes from the iPad were moved to the iphone...they must be hidden somewhere on the computer hard drive....anyone know how to find them?

Notes is included on the back up w/c you cannot view directly to your computer because it is an encrypted file and if you're using Windows you may use Windows Outlook to view those notes or if Mac it will be synced on your Mail app as long as you're using the Mail app on your Mac.
