Printing of URLs on pages

I have a neighbor, new to Macs, who is hitting me with lots of
questions about Macs, most of which I am able to handle. Here is one I cannot answer. Can anyone?
In the past, when she had a PC and used M/S Explorer, when she
printed out a web page, on the bottom of that printed page would be the URL of the site she visited.
Now, using Safari, when she prints out a page, there is no URL. I tried it on her computer and she is correct. Is there any way to get Safari to add the URL to the printout? She is using the latest version of Panther and of Safari for Panther.
I looked everywhere in the preferences, but could find nothing.
I see, however, that on my own system using thelatest version of Tiger & Safari, when I choose to print a web page and look at the print preview, on the bottom of the page there is the URL.
Is there no way to accomplish this using Panther???

She needs to either upgrade to 10.4 or use FireFox (at least for printing those pages).

I`ve downloaded the eprint app and every time I share a page from a website via email to my printers email address it only prints the URL not the actual webpage. Also when I click the share option it gives me the option to share with the eprint app, but when I do it say it can't read or support the file due to paper size not being selected.

Printing Web pages through email is currently not supported. HP is in the process of developing solutions to support Web page printing for mobile devices.

Printing different URL with javascript

I am trying to print a URL using javascript but i do not want to print the current page. I have searched google, this forum and a javascript book and can not seem to figure it out. To exlplain in it generic terms i want to be on one page and tell it to print another. Reason being, I am looking at an overview page and want to print a report made in Oracle reports, (Yes I could load the report and print it but i want to print multiple reports from one button)(The reports do work and are valid) Here is a rundown of what I am doing.
From a button i am calling a 'url' with the following code:

And then in the html header i have the code: (printing same page twice, just an example)

To print a page it has to be open in the browser since all it does it call the browsers print dialog.
Here is one solution http://www.irt.org/script/508.htm and you can also try a iframe instead of a regular frame.
If it's crossdomain request like your example here that might cause problems as well. There might be additional problems.

Print the report on page has width larger than height and not landscape mode

Hi,
I'm trying to print report on page (Width: 18cm, Height: 13cm) which the width larger than the height.
The problem is windows keeps changing the page oreintation to landscape and when I change it back to portrait its changing the width to 13cm and height to 18cm.
I'm using dot matrix printer to print the report, if i put Landscape , printer is printing the text in horizontal.
Already i have tried to setup the custom for on printer, and used custom page size but it is changing to landscape.
I need to print the report with out preview, direct print top printer, NO PDF....

After testing the issue in my environment, I can reproduce it. When I set (Width: 18cm, Height: 13cm) as the Report Page size, it would automatically convert Orientation from Portrait to Landscape. Because the Orientation displayed is dependent on the page
width and page height of the report.
But in my scenario, the Orientation option just change the Width and Height sizes, it couldn’t affect the text rotation. I guess this issue can be caused by the printer and printer driver, please try to update them. Reference:

How can I print just a select/highlighted portion of a webpage/email? FF prints EVERYTHING on each page, wasting ink.

I switched form IE to FF. In IE, I could select text (or photos) and print just the portion of web pages and emails that I wanted, thus saving paper and ink. I have not been able to do that with FF. I have to print all of each page, so text, ads, and whatever other extraneous material prints. What a waste! Is there any way to select and print just what I need using FireFox? Currently I have to run both IE and FF to handle my printing and documentation needs. Thank you!

Still happens with Firefox 12. I wish they'd just fix it, the way it used to be in Firefox 10, without the complicated workaround suggested above.

Hello Everyone
In PLD i have a requirement whereby if the layout goes into more than a page says 2 pages,then the total should display "Continued in next page" in the 1st page and in the last page(in our case 2nd page) total should print the document total in the same area. How can this be done? How to achieve this if...then...else statement in PLD
if CurrentPage()!=TotalPages()
then "Continued in Next page"

Dear Raghu,
If you would like to print certain fields on the last page only,
'TotalPages()' cannot be used in formula, therefore, please follow the
Workaround below.
As a Workaround create the following field:
   Field_Formula
   General Tab
   Untick visible
   Left = 0 / Width = 0 / Top = 0 / Height = 0
   Content Tab
   Source Type: Formula
   SystemString(ContinueNextPageNotice) ==''
And enter the ID of this field as the "Link to" for the Fields you
like to print on the last page only.

Hi Experts,

In this text field if the user enters more than a page, a scroll bar appears in the print preview where the users can view the complete text what they have entered, but while printing the text which exceeds more than a page is not getting printed in the next page.
I have set the subform properties as "Flowed" and the check box "Allow Page Break within content" is also been enabled, but still the extra contents is not getting printed in the next page.

This issue is in ADOBE, I think there is no concept of Window in ADOBE,
The text box is placed inside a Subform.

How do I get Firefox to print the entire web page instead of truncating when it gets to end of first print page?

Just change the range as illustrated below. If you don't see that, click the Show Details button.

I have the kindle app on my iPad. I downloaded a kindle version of a songbook. I would like to print out a few pages of the music. I cannot download the file to my computer and cannot print from the iPad as the page format does not allow it.

One work around is, if the Kindle app allows, make a screen cap of the page and print that.
Hold down the sleep and home keys and relase them together....kinda like you'd press the shutter of a camera, a joint quick down and up
You'll see a white flash and hear a shutter sound. Then look in your photos app and you'll see the images. You can print them just like you'd print a photo.

Can't print directly from web pages anymore-what setting needs to be changed?

After doing a recent update for the printer, the program jammed up and I was forced to uninstall then reinstall the printer. Since doing so, whenever I want to print a doc from a website, I right click to print, and a save page comes up-forcing me to save the document somewhere before I can print. I save to desktop, then can print from there. This is an extra step I never had to do before-could always print from the page. What setting do I need to change?

It sounds like the printer is not the "Default".
Print to Printer without First Saving to File
Not nearly as common, slightly possible, is that your browser is not picking up a properly set default printer setting.
