Printing off-line

My Mac is not connected to the internet. Is there any way to save the pdf and send it to Mac without aperture? Does anyone know any other companies that can use the pdf from aperture to print the book?

I'm not sure if this answers your question but you can save a PDF of your book in Aperture by...
1- Choosing the "Print..." button next to the "Buy Book..." button
2- In the Print dialog box choose "Save as PDF..."
3- In the "Save as PDF" dialog Name the file and click Save.
This will create a 350 dpi high quality pre press PDF file with each book page on a separate PDF page (no spreads)
One place that can print books from these files is www.sharedink.com
I have not personally used them but they have a good reputation and appear to offer the service you are looking for.

Why can I not print from pages but can if I copy to text edit, I get "printer off line message " from pages ?  I use HP wireless printer .

Are you sure you have the right printer?
In UNIX/OSX printers are virtual links to devices and even with the same name can be trying to reach a printer via another network address, so it thinks it is another printer.

  • C4795 printer off line

    I have a HP Photosmart C4795
I have been using it wirelessly.
Today when attempting to print, I get the message "printer off line", "printer not connected"
I have been using it with my Mac (osX 10.7.5)
I did recently add a new wireless router to my home network (Mac Airport Express).
However I thought that the printer did not use the home wireless network, but rather it's own internal bluetooth.
    Help?

    Try these steps:
    1. Restore Network Defaults on the printer (Wireless>Wireless Settings>Restore Network Defaults>Yes).
    2. Rerun the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer front panel to connect the printer to the router (Wireless>Wireless Settings>Wireless Setup Wizard).
    3. Select your router from the list and enter the network password to connect the printer.
    4. After the printer is connected, run the printer software on the Mac to discover the printer over the network connection.
    5. Remove the old printer instance and Add the new printer using the + button in System Preferences>Print and Fax.

    Is the printer connected wirelessly?
Have you given it a fixed IP address, or is it receiving it via DHCP?

  • C4780 still says "printer off line" after troubleshooting

    HP Photosmart C4780 Inkjet  printer

just moved and re-set up computer with same router....using printer wirelessly as before

Well, you did not say WHICH Mac operating system, so let's try this:
    Reset the printing system:
    - Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
    - Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
    - Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

  • Computer says printer Off line

computer says printer Off line, HP Office Jet 6500  E710n-z Class Driver I try to print and computer says printer is off-line. How do I get it back on-line?

    Hi Michael74,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your Officejet 6500 e710n printer not being able to print. Try shutting if off, then pulling the power out of the back for about a minute. Plug it back in and turn it back on.
If that does not resolve the issue try the HP Print and Scan Doctor.  The HP Print and Scan Doctor is a diagnostic tool that will help repair issues.
Please let me know how this goes.

  • Printer off line again

my printer keeps going off line about every 24 hrs but cant put my finger on it exacly
    hp photosmart 6520
    belkin n300 wireless n router
    tooway internet satellite
router connected to modem with inthernet cable
    compaq laptop
    ipad mini
if i install the printer all workks from both ipad mini and laptop
go to print again and the printer wont communicate / cant be found messsage.
if i unplug router and printer then connect router then printer all good again for about a day then gone again
    cheers

    Let’s try this.
Move the printer at least 3 feet away from the router.
    1. Verify in the printer that 'Auto Off' is disabled.  Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) by going to the
printers IP address in your browsers address bar, click  Settings Tab/Auto Off.  Or use the Printer
        Assistant, Printer Home Page (EWS).
    2. Set a static IP in the printer (see step 6) outside the DHCP range of the router (check your manual).
In the router:  (Refer to your router manual for information)
    3. Use a fixed wireless channel like 1,6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
    4. Set router to 20Mhz only, or 145Mbps depending on router.
    5. Always use WPA2-AES (Personal) encryption, but you can try ‘mixed’ mode.
    6. Disable WPS and never use it and disable UPnP for the routers security.  Nobody can hack your
system now and helps with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, search the web).
    7. If you have a dual band router (2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz bands), make sure the SSID’s are NOT the same,
they must be different for all bands, even for any Guest networks.
    8. Save all settings.  Power off both, wait 5 mins.  Power on router wait 3 mins.
    9. Power on printer and verify it reconnects to router.
Windows 7/8/8.1   Is Network Discovery on or off?
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings.
Under Home or Work (current profile) \ Network Discovery.
Select "Turn on network discovery" and save changes.
    Now try.

  • Printing is landscape. Printing off line ok

When I printed before from the Internet, it always printed letter size. Now it is printing landscape. Off line it prints regular letter size. I need to know how to change it. I used about:config but although I marked the orientation to reset it is still printing landscape.

    Hi there,
Looking at your link, I would say your browser is set to print each frame of the frameset separately rather than the complete frame. I've seen this with Windows but not with Mac's. Maybe have a look at the print settings and preferences of the browser/s.

  • Cannot print to canon MP160, dialog box says printer off line, but it is on line, OK printing with IE

I just installed the Canon MP160 printer. I downloaded the driver software from Canon version 12.1.4.0.(2/8/2008). I can print documents fine from Internet Explorer. When I go to print from Firefox the printer dialog box says the printer is "off line" and I get printer queue error messages. I can also print OK from windows. I have a PC 32 bit with Windows Vista.

I think your issue is that even though you have the latest 10.2.0 driver for 10.9, you added the printer using the previous v2.43 PPD. So open Print & Scan, remove the current printer for the iRC3380 and click the plus button to add again. After selecting IP > LPD and entering the IP address, ensure you select "Canon iR C2880/C3380" in the Use menu. Note that there is no mention of UFRII in the model name, as is the case with the previous UFR2 v2.43 driver.
Thanks for the suggestion.  I did that this morning (see Step 1) and deleted the existing printer before re-adding a new printer and using the newly updated driver and printer description.  Here's what I get:
You can see my model number is listed in there as is the the proprietary Canon UFRII language.
Once added, here's what happens next:
So it would appear, at this point, that the printer is installed and communicating and that I should be good to print.
Alas, I get the same error message I've been getting.  back to square one.

  • Canon wireless printer printer off line problem

I have a Canon 620 printer. It works fine via usb cable, but when I try printing wireless it comes up that the printer is currently off line. I have good wi-fi to the printer and it says the printer is ready. It knows the printer is there so why won't it print? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I think once you reserve the IP address for your printer, you don't have to set static IP on your printer. But not the other way around. Because if by accident when a post man find two houses with identical address, it'll be tough to deliver the mail.

  • Printer off line and how to fix/

Printer has had new drivers installed. Why does it keep going off line. How can I correct?

    Hi Kathleen750,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that your printer is offline.
I have a few questions for you:
1.) What type of printer do you have? To find your printer's Product/Model Number follow instructions in this link. Finding Your HP Product Model Number.
2.) What Operating System are you using? Windows or Mac? What version?
3.) How is the printer connected? Wireless or USB?
4.) Can you make copies with the printer?
Hope to hear back from you, and have a great day!

  • E1000 shows printer off-line

I have a linksys E1000 router with an HP photosmart C5180 directly wired to the router and set up as a network printer.  The printer periodically goes "off line" and will not print.  If I go into the control panel and select add a network printer, it finds the HP printer and I can add the printer as HP copy 1 and all goes well unti it goes off-line again.  I never had this problem with my Dell router and the same printer.  Can anyone tell me what is happening and how to fix it.  Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I have problem with HP 8500 constantly going off line while I'm trying to print.  It also constantly disconnects when I try to scan.  HP says it may be because not all the router ports are set properly, but I can't find any infomation on how to set them.

  • Excessive INK LEVEL LOW warnings; Excessive PRINTER OFF LINE warnings on HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m

HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m Excessive INK LEVEL LOW Warnings: False PRINTER OFFLINE Warnings
I have the HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m, Lenovo T43 running XP SP3.
I love the print quality and the way it looks. But...it's very noisy and the big problem is:
When any one of the 4 ink cartridges gets to around 25%, the ink low warning , comes on, sometimes more than once per minute! And then it opens the LARGE dialogue box right in the middle of the screen showing me ink levels (none below 25% by the way), and  * soliciting me to buy ink from them on line or from a dealer or whatever.  I close it and the three warning boxes (Ink level low-two boxes simultaneously and Printer Offline)....Then a couple minutes later all them are back. This makes the computer basically unusable.
*These frequent (every few minutes)  PRINTER OFFLINE warnings occur even though it is on line. this is a wireless enabled printer. Despite the warning that it is offline, as soon as I issue a print command the printer responds (with the ink level warnings of course, while it's printing).
How can I disable (forever) the  OFFLINE and INK LEVEL warnings?

On the touchscreen of the printer
    touch setup
    touch preferences
    touch cartridge chip info
    then touch OK
    no more annoying pop-ups
    Note
To re-enable the usage information function, restore the factory defaults.
    Note
You can continue to use the cartridge in the HP product if you turn off the memory chip's ability to collect the product's usage information.
