Printing only does top half of letters in a sentence

I made the mistake of Registering this product over a year ago as a HP DJ 1510 All in One Printer. Today 1/2/2015, 6 days after my Warranty Expired, lucky me. Today I look again and see that it is a 1512. But each time I do the Diagnostic and Device Name, it comes back as a 1510 Model, it wont recongize the 1512 at all. So what gives?
The reason I was checking on this, is I have been having problems getting my printer to PRINT OUT all the lines in my sentences, I have fading of the lower half of the letters in my sentences, or it will print a full line and then the next line will have a empty streak cuting through all the letters on the 2nd line, and on the 3rd line it dont print at all. I bought the right cartridges, which are #61. I had it in storage for a while, prior to storage, it printed beautifully, since being out of storage, I have been having these problems, ever since i re-hooked up my printer, the cartridge was over half full, now it is about a quarter full.
I will run the so called new HP Diagnostic Tools, under Print and Scan and HP Assistent, and Clean the Cartridges, and then Clean them again, and then run the test page, have it scanned and it will printed a few of the lines and then go back to horizonial streaking letters.
I have run the cleaning and diagnostic over and over again, with the same results. I cant figure it out, why HP still keeps telling me i have a 1510 All in One, when right on my model it says 1512. When I do the device, I have the USB cable running from my computer right into the 1512 All in One, an yet, the diagnosis comes back saying i have a 1510, Im confused and cant get any ONLINE help from HP, because my Warranty expired less than a week ago, what a lame Printer Co.

The "Deskjet 1510 series" includes the Deskjet 1510 and 1512 (and perhaps other Deskjet 151n modesl), do not worry about the printer being referred to as a 1512 or 1510 series.
Your issue is likely due to an electrical contact issue between the cartrdige and the printer.  Printing in Best quality will likely resolve the issue, but will take twice as long to print....
The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve the issue.  Print a dignostic page as shown in solution six.  I suspect the black nozzle pattern will be missing a distinct section of the nozzle pattern.  In this case removing the black cartrdige and reinserting it may resolve the issue.  If not then cleaning the electrical contacts on the printer and cartrdige as shown in this document may resolve the issue.  [Note - this last document is for a different cartrdige series, but the cleaning instruction would apply to your printer as well.]

  • I used the ticker tape mode to add subtitles to a clip. When playing it in the pc, the Subtitles are fine, however, when playing it on the tv, only the top half of the words are visible. Any idea why?

I added subtitles to a movie clip using the ticker tape option. When viewing on the iMac, the words are visible, however, when playing it in the tv, only the top half of the words are visible. Does anyone know why?

I would agree with Keith Barkley, it may be the TV Safe Area. You can see what spots might be blocked out or cut off by going to iDVD and opening the original DVD project, under the View Menu > Show TV Safe Area. If your title gets cut off by the cropping rectangle displayed, that may account for the cut-off.

  • HP Deskjet 5740 Color Inkjet Printer cutting off bottom half of letters when printing text

My Printer is cutting off the bottom half of letters when printing documents.  I have tried all the troubleshooting options given on the computer and have changed out the ink cartriges as well.  I am hoping SOMEONE might have a solution to share. Thanks in advance!!!

I have a user experiencing the same issue.  We have removed the drivers and reinstalled them but the problem persists.  Steps we have tried.... Completely uninstalled all the HP software and printer driversRebootedReinstalled drivers and printer softwareI have verified the printer has the latest firmware. It doesn't matter what program we are printing from, approximately the bottom 4th to 3rd of the photo is cut off.  I do have examples I can send that show the problem.   Our organization buys a lot of printers and it would suck to have to start ordering from a different vendor for future buys.  But if HP cannot fix this issue, we'll have to switch to another brand.  Since we cannot attach in here I have uploaded the examples.  The first is an XPS printout from a word 2013 document.  When it's printed it comes out as shown in the scan.pdf file.  (We printed it and then scanned the printout to a PDF).  It is pretty clear that the bottom of the picture is cut off. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. Brian

  • Browserlab only showing top half of page

The first link on my home page www.ReduceStressNow.net is http://www.reducestressnow.net/breakthrough
But when I Command click this link in IE9, then Browserlab only loads half the page.  There's an Expander with eleven entries, immediately before the Scientific Proof/New Scientist section and browserlab stops showing after the first few.  The rest of the page is missing.
This is perhaps why none of its first six links are working (see the fifth paragraph on the /breakthrough page.)  They are all same-page links to further down the page in the missing part, the first one is: www.reducestressnow.net/breakthrough/#new-scientist
I'm using the main Browserlab interface with Mac Snow Leopard  and Firefox to check my site works in Windows Internet Explorer.
    Warm regards,
    Cris
Fyi the page navigation keys don't work in the browserlab pages although they are working on the browserlab forum in a separate tab in the same window.  That's page top, page bottom, page up and page down on my extended keyboard.

This is not a bug. BrowserLab has a limitation on the size of screenshots it will take... currently that's a max of about 4000 x 4000 pixels. It looks like your page is considerably longer than and thus is getting cropped on the server. And you're correct, that's why those in-page links don't work. I'll go ahead and forward this on to our product manager as an enhancement request to be able to handle larger pages.

  • Printer only prints the top half of some lines

The printer prints only the top half of some lines while printing at faster speeds. Some documents I try to print will only print at a faster speed and I don't know how to slow it down

    Hello fishinbob,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand your printer only prints the top half of some lines. I will do my best to assist you! First, I would like to ask you a couple of questions:
What type of printer do you have? Click here to find out: Model Number.
What is your operating system on your computer? Windows or Mac?
Please verify this information and I will assist you further. Have a great day!

  • When I print a selection of text the top half of the first line is cut off, i. e. isn't printed, OS X 10.7.2, Firefox 9.0.1.

When I try to print selected text ("Print Selection Only"), the top half of the first line of the first page is chopped off. Then the last line is chopped in half (top half on the bottom of page 1, bottom half on top of page 2). This occurs on all subsequent pages.

I have a very similar problem on the same versions of Firefox and OS X as the OP.
For me, the cutoff problem occurs on the top and bottom of ALL pages intermittently, depending on the line spacing of the current selection (or so I assume).

  • In printing only a specific selected section, the top line or 2 of the printout is not printing. This only happened since the last update. It does not happen when I use internet explorer.

I read many financial documents during the day. I sometimes print only a selected segment of an article or a financial statement. When I print selected only, the top line or 2 lines is omitted from the print document. It does not happen in explorer.
I used Firefox for years, and this just started in the last 3 weeks or so. I can get around it by just selecting 2 lines above what I want to print. But, it is annoying.

  • My keyboard only shows the top half of the letters

My keyboard only shows the top half when I go into the app app and I cannot put in my apple id or password because the keyboard is not showing

Is this happening when using the App Store or some other App?
Try to rotate the iPhone and get the keyboard to appear in landscape view or on the flipping the screen while keeping it in portrait mode.
If that doesn't do it, try following along with this Apple doc -> iOS: Troubleshooting applications purchased from the App Store

  • My Printer has started missing or half printing random lines horizontally bottom half or top half

My Printer has started missing or half printing random lines  horizontally. Bottom half or top half is missing . I have an Officejet Pro 750 and run Windows 7, 64 bit. For a while if I turned off normal mode and selected best, it was Ok. Now it doesn't matter which mode I use,I have done all the tests and cleaning required but no joy...Help

I have done what you suggested. However, I have to disagree with you about the 'third party' comment. Although those minor issues were on there which I picked up on shortly afterwards, they were easily removed. It hasn't CHANGED the symptoms I described about my mac. Both items are removed (growl only tends to make your mac 'lag' and that's not the problem I'm having)
I am still having all the above issues, regardless of my mac being fully minus third party items. This mac hasn't had any heavy use, or had many applications installed on it ect, there is really no reason for it to be failing. I'd understand if it was old, but it's literally only just passed being 3 years old.
If you can provide any more help that would be appreciated, thank you!

    1) Connect the printer to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme

All of a sudden I can't print my calendar in 'month' view.  It only does day or list.  Any thoughts?

Thank you so much... I put this in another thread too, but, through help I learned that it is the errors that's causing this. The problem is that I don't know enough to fix it. It happens in a nested table, (don't know CSS well enough either to use it instead) and I can't figure it out... its a full page table, 50% on each side, and a center cell that should contain a same-size nested table... as in, I want to put all the content in the center.
The error:  "table" is not allowed within: "tr"

  • Printing only odd/even numbered pages does not work

I've got following problem: Printing only odd/even numbered pages does not work. Not in Preview, nor Adobe Reader. I Don't know why. i'm using a hp Color LaserJet 2550L. I just worked fine, but I cannot remember the time this failing first occured. I really hope the problem will be solved quick and easy.
    Thanks so far
    Bastian.

Mine does not work either. I have trashed prefs, rewrote permissions, ran Disk Utility from a separate HD, etc. and I cannot get this feature to work.
I got 45 odd pages to print last night and now it won't print odd or even pages. I am reduced to printing every backside page one at a time. If I would have known about this problem before I could have saved myself an hour and just printed them all on single sided sheets. I tried to save paper and now I'm screwed (timewise)......
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank You,
    Dave Buckley
