Printing Order acknowledgement and pick list

SAP 2007 A
Please follow scenario:
Create sales order with 3 line items. If we print order acknowledgement only display is correct. If we print either the pick list only or the order and pick list combination we sometimes see the three items repeated on the pick list and sales order prints fine. This only occasionally happens and we cannot see any pattern as to why it happens. Anyone ever experience this and/or have a suggestions as to what may be causing the problem

What is your PL? It sounds like a bug to me.

Can we add New View Objects/View Links for the existing "Preview and Print" Order Acknowledgement.
I want to add for the 2 new functionalities i.e., for Charges (from OE_PRICE_ADJUSTMENTS_V ) and the Line Level Notes, which is currently not supported by Oracle.

You can do that. You should first create the new business objects(AM, VO, VL) in jdeveloper, create your new regions in jdeveloper, associate the AM to the top level region(stackLayout) you create. Use personalization and add a stack layout in the Preview and Print page, set the extends property to point to the new region which you had created. Donot forget to deploy all the files in middle tier before doing the personalization.
The AM which you had added to the stackLayout will automatically be nested with the root AM of the page during runtime.

Sales Order and Pick List reports will not attach to Email message

My client wants to email both the Sales Order and Pick List that is created from the Sales Order in the same email message. It appears that SAP B1 will not do this. Is this a bug or just the way B1 works. My client is running version 8.8 PL 19. Thank you for your help.

Hi Bill,
Pick List is associated with delivery, not sales order. If you need Pick List be emailed, you have to email delivery.

Handling Unit and Picking List Output

Hello SAP Gurus,
I am not able to generate the output for Handling Unit and Picking List. Can you please help me in configuring the same.Can you please do let me know the steps to be completed for the output.

Hi Sunil,
1. TCODE NACZ -> Create a procedure.
2. For this procedure you can define control sequence (Step, Control, Condition Type).
3. TCODE NACE -> Choose Application V6 (Handling Units).
4. Click on Output types.
5. You can create your own output type here.
6. For this output type you can give the access sequesnce.
7. For the same output type, in Processing Routines, give the Medium (Printer, EDI, etc.), Print Program Name, From Entry, Form name (SapScript Name). If it is a smartforms then specify the name in SmartFrom coulmn.
First 2 steps are depende on the requirement. You can go with standard settings.

No. Apple only keeps the pdf file for a book for 30 days. Without the library and book project you won't be able to reorder the same book.

I am trying to add ShipToCode from the RDR1 table to the PLD for Pick List, but it gives me a blank column when it should display the text values that are in ShipToCode..
Is there a way to display the values for ShipToCode?

WM BIN to BIN transfer order and picking list

I have a scenario where I need to print BIN to BIN transfers details
After completing the transfer to destination BIN Ineed to print
Which Interim storage type(Like 9 sereis 901----999) I need to link print code and printer
what config settings required for this
and also another similar scenario
Picking list from warehouse against the sales order
which interim storage type we need to link the printer
we have already satnadalone storage types availble(100,120,1....)

Print determination is WM is done in transaction OMLV. Major steps include
1. Define spool request.--> Here you define spools and how it should be configured like new spool request, delete after spool out put.
2.Definition of Print code--> Here you assign form to each print code
3. Assign Print code to movement type--> For each mvt type assign print code. In automatic determination of printer, system checks whether any print code is assigned to each mvt type in a warehouse.
4.Assign Printer to Warehouse--> Once form and other information is determined in above steps, system checks for printer for a warehouse in this configuration.If no printer is assigned, then it will proceed to next step that is step 5 here below
5.Assign printer to picking area--> Assignment of printer to picking area.If this paramter is not maintained then it will go to next step. That is step 6 here
6.Assign printer to Storage type--> It will fetch printer if nothing is mentioned in step 4 & 5 above.
7.Print Report--> Assign print program to ware house. This the last step in config.

Add Order Quantity to Pick List PLD

Can someone tell me how to add the Sales Order Quantity to the Pick List PLD. I tried adding a database field with PKL1-OrderEntry and then adding another with RDR1-Quantity and then relating that to the former with no luck. Any ideas from the PLD experts out there?.

You have already done 80% of work by adding a database field with PKL1-OrderEntry and then adding another with RDR1-Quantity and then relating that to the former
You will need to add another database field PKL1-OrderLine (Order Row ID)
Then in the RDR1.Quantity field
Relate to: PKL1-OrderEntry
Next Segment: PKL1-OrderLine
This should work.

Hi ,
By making keyword property field stemmer,you allow mdm to create the field keyword searchable.
When you set keyword property to stemmer ,it will add the contents into keyword search index .
basically mdm uses stemming engine to search the keywords using the index concept.
So if you search word like ant it will give result that contain ant ,anttena as the stem of both words are same.
When you set up field to be lookup flat then there is two option available in value selection property
1. picklist : in this whatever values available in the falt table it comes in a drop down and you can directly select the value.
2.mini search : in this you have to search the value on the disolay field og lookup flat then if if that saerch matches any record iot will show you to select any one.Like for ex if you search for vendor then all the value that conatin vendor will come and you can select one of them for main table field

Problem in printing Order Acknowledgement Smartform

Hi All,
I am trying to print my Custom Order Ack every thing prints good and works fine except on the first page,Its printing all windows and the header of the main window but its not printing the item details on the first page. From second page onwards its printing fine with all windows and Main window header, item and footer details. I am unable to figure out why its behaving like that on the first page.The item details include the line item details and long text. I checked my internal table which i am using in my main window for any blank data, but my internal table looks good. Any suggestions why i am unable to start printing the item details in the first page instead of from secod page.

If you are using custom program, make sure you are not calling new page inside your custom program
or
Check you form, see that there is no condition inside your form
Ex:IF PAGE NE 1.

IPhone 6 plus pre order/refund and pick up in store.

If I pre ordered a iphone 6 plus could I go to the at&t store on the 19th and pick up my phone, or can I just get a refund on my pre order and just buy an iphone 6 plus that is in stock?

You could cancel it but It will not work that way.. Cause you already use the 2 year contract deal on the preorder that you just preorder.. trust me I tried that already when the last time I did a pre-order on the iPhone 5 when they do the first preorder live.... Cause when you did your preorder there was agreement that you agree that they put on the agreement.. So if I were you I wait.. What if you cancel your and then you when on the release date and try to get one what if they're all sold out.... and you know that its crazy on the release date.. Will if you do good luck waiting in line..

Difference of inventory available on item description and picking list

Hello,
For one item, I have noted a difference beetween the amount "In stock" on item Master data and the amount "available to release" in the picking list. I have checked moves on reports "Stock Posting list" the result is the same as in the master data.
Where does this difference come from?

Actually "available to release" may never be the same as the quantity in item master. Only in a rare occasion that all items are available to release.

Material pick list

Hello Gurus;
I want to see the material pick list for a particular order in my system. I can see it for other maintenance orders, except a few orders. I have checked that the orders in question are released & material posting against the order is not performed, also delta print is not ticked in the order. I would like to know, what is causing the erratic behaviour, pls. suggest.

Hello Thyagarajan;
To see the material pick list (many other preconfigured print list): go to selected order in change mode; order-> print->order-> then select pick list
There are following requisites to see the material pick list:
a) Order should have compents attached
b) order should be realeased
c) It should not be printed before
d) printer should be configured, otherwise use LP01 as standard

The Pick List is printed from the Pick and Pack Manager.
goto Inventory > Pick and Pack > Pick List and then Open the Pick List and Print from there.
If this is what you are doing then if your FMS are set to Auto Refresh then as soon as your Pull the Pick list the FMS should fire and the mode should change to UPDATE.
Also, u can try this.
You can print the pick list from the Sales Order by selecting Pick List as your default report. Everything works fine from there. I don't have to do anything else then the sales order to get the Pick List right. I only have to select which file I want to print.

Printing immedietely of Putaway list or Pick list in SAP WM

We have one requirement in WMS rollout is:
For automatic background printing of Putaway list or Pick list in SAP WM, System doesnt recognize Printer name as LOCL (settings in T code- OMLV). In OMLV we must have a network printer name for automatic printing the Putaway List after MIGO transaction and also for automatic printing the Pick List in Background with WMTA out put type - which triggers during delivery creation.
If we configure LOCL in OMLV screen the spool gets generated but it doesnt execute automatically and that needs to be triggered manually using T code SP02 or SP01.
We want to print these putaway or pick list automatically(either thru LOCL or network printer) immediate after generating a spool(without any user interaction).

Hi MM,
Inorder to get automatic put away list after GR you need to define the printer in OMLV settings.
Step 1:
If you are using Ricoh printer (Paper print out of TO) and Zebra Printer (Label printer for printing labels), you need define this combination under the icon "Printer pool/Labels".
Warehouse - Ricoh printer name - Zebra printer name (Pre-condition : Both the Ricoh and Zebra printers needs to be configured in SAP by your Basis team).
Step 2:
Under icon "Warehouse Movement" in the Assignment section, you need to define the condition for printing.
For example
Warehouse no: Source str type Destination str. type Printername
AB1 902 *** Ricoh printer name1
AB1 Q01 *** Ricoh printer name2
The above situation prints all put away list for receiving area to Ricoh printer name 1 & all put away list cleared by QA people to Ricoh printer name 2.
Step 3:
Analyze the condition set under the icon "Analyze" (print control tables).
You can re-check the conditions set by you in the above section. specify the warehouse number, source str type, dest. str type and execute you should be getting the printer name correctly assigned in the earlier section.
