Printing out E Mails

I am trying to print an E Mail from  BT.  I have the e mail on screen and when I press the print button all I get is a blank page with my email address top left and Page 1 of 1 top right.  Must be more to it than I realised. I am using Windows 7 home premium. (This is a new printer and my first attempt )  Thanks

Okay thanks irban,
To give you an idea of what browser you are using go to http://whatbrowser.org/ or http://www.whatismybrowser.com/ and see what it says what browser you are using.
I'm guessing you will be still on the BTYahoo email platform/system as existing BT email address haven't yet migrated to the new BTmail platform/system provided by Critical Path (CP).
Though you can check by going to http://diagnostics.bt.com/login/?workflow=EmailChecker
If your on BTYahoo webmail then choose the email you want to print and click Actions >> Print message from the BTYahoo mail options (see image below)
You may get a pop-up block alert, click retry and a new popup window should appear. Click Print on the popup window and it should print to your default printer.
Hope that all makes sense

  • Print out as well as Sending mail of invoice

    Hi
I have a requirement   in invoice like, i need print out as well as I need to send mail to the user.
In T-code VF03 ,  My user will be giving only one  transaction medium as External send.
But  he needs the print out of the invoice also. how can we arrive at the solution for this..
    Kindly send me reply .
    Regards
    Uma

    Hello Uma,
    Yes, it is possible.
As you are aware, the medium will be selected as per the input:
    1     Print output
    2     Fax
    4     Telex
    5     External send
    6     EDI
    7     Simple Mail
    8     Special function
    9     Events (SAP Business Workflow)
    A     Distribution (ALE)
If the user is selecting the Print output and he wants the same to be mailed, then add the logic to send the mail in the Z program.
You can get the value for medium in the program with the NAST-NACHA structure.
Please let me know if any more details are required.

Thanks again for the detailed instructions Srini!
    And I really hate to be a pest . . . but . . .
Using your example and not modifying it, I get the e-mail form filled out correctly and the pdf attached, however, I'm not prompted to sign it.

How do I clear out the trash?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

    Hello carolsuz,
I was researching ways you might be able to save that email to a picture or export it and found this little gem in the iPhone Users Guide, found here: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf about how to take a screenshot.
Its on page 12 toward the middle:
Take a screenshot: Press and release the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time. The screenshot is added to your Camera Roll album.
    Take care,

I know how to print out a picture from an attachment but this particular picture is included in the body of the e-mail and that's where I'm lost.

I am using an HP Officejet 8600 pro plus, I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  I get no error messages when I send the e mail, It just never arrives.  My email program (Century Link Mail ) indicates that the message was sent correctly.  This is a new printer, and I think It is set up right.  It does print out my email address correctly and I have added it in e print, but still nothing. Have I missed a step somewhere?

    Hello dnulgoks,
If the email you are sending does not print, there should be a message somewhere that gives us a clue why it is not working. Normally you receive an email reply to your personal email address where the email was sent from telling you whether the ePrint job was received.
If you are getting this email and it is still not printing, the next place to check would be in your ePrintCenter account. You will need to login to this account on http://www.eprintcenter.com and check the "Recent Print Jobs" to see if there is a message regarding your print job. This normally looks like "Printed", "Cancelled", "Rejected", or "Pending".
You may also try power cycling the printer. You can do this by:
While the printer is still on, unplug the power cord from the printer, leave it unplugged for 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the printer. Once plugged back in the printer should power on automatically.
Let me know if you still have questions and I will try to assist you further.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

I have checked the settings in both Mac and FireFox and they are both set for capture on screen and print at 8 X 11 format. That does not happen when I want an email printer out... HELP!!!!!! Do I need to go to G-mail too? Cabella

    Hi @NickRN8
I am not sure what is causing the inconsistency in selected pages not printing, but I'd be happy to help.
Let's reset the printing system, repair disk permissions, re-add the printer using the right driver, and try to scan again.
    Reset Printing System
Click the Apple icon (   ), and then click System Preferences.
In the Hardware section, click Print & Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan  dialog box opens.
Right-click (or  Ctrl  +click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system…
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the correct Name and Password.
Click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows no printer selected
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
    Repair Disk Permissions
On the Dock, click Applications, and then click Utilities.
    Double-click Disk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left (by default this is "Macintosh HD").
Click the Repair Disk Permissions button at the bottom of the window.
Once the repair is complete, restart the computer and add the printer back.
When you add the printer, please ensure you are using the HP driver.
Select Add other Printer or Scanner
Select the printer you are adding and next to 'Use' you can select the printer driver
I look forward to hearing from you. If the issue remains unresolved, I will post instructions to completely scrub the HP software from the computer and start fresh.

  • Printing out a report in PDF format

    Hi,
A colleague and myself have been converting an existing system for our customer from the traditional client/server architecture to a web-deployed system on 10g application server. I have been converting the reports from report 3.5 to reports 10g. The reports work fine but the problem we have is more to do with the printer than the reports itself.
We have a requirement to print a barcode label (and some other text) to a DataMax printer. This printer seems to be quite fussy about the fonts that are used and essentially if you don't use the DataMax fonts the label comes out blank. I have managed however to produce reports as PDF and if I click the Printer button in the adobe control the report will print out as a bitmap image on the printer.
Is there any way that I can produce the report as a PDF file and get it to print automatically ?

    Prohan,
I have never been able to get PDF generation working from APEX. I have asked for some help on this forum, but go no responses. And I just won't spend the outrageous license fees for Oracle BI Publisher. But I have been successful in doing what need with some simple methods.
    1. If the email has some simple tables or formatted information from the database, use a PL/SQL procedure to generate an HTML formatted message and the utl_mail package to send the html formatted email. I use this for many customer and internal emails from both APEX and Oracle Forms applications.
2 There is a stand-alone product PL/PDF (http://www.plpdf.com/) that allows you to generate PDF files directly from PL/SQL (again not APEX specific). I have demoed this product and it works pretty well, but I am not using it at this time because of the licensing that requires a fee for each database instance. It's not really that expensive, but it's more than I want to spend for the number of databases I have.
    3. If you have Acrobat Professional, you can export XML file from the database and create "mail merge" type PDF documents. But you can also do this with Word and a simple CSV or Excel output. Both of these are pretty easy from APEX. I have used both. I found the Work mail merge to be a little easier for end users to use, so this is my primary choice. But Acrobat Pro method also works well.
If you are interested in any examples of these methods, let me know and I can send you something.

  • Why can't I print out the body of my emails, they come out with the right missing.

When ever I try to print out my emails(gmail) everything under the Mail column prints, but the right side is missing. I have tried everything I know and nothing works. I can't move it over and I can use the print selection. Also I can't print out the entire email if it is more than 1 page.

First try to reset Firefox printer settings, if you are still unable to print you can then reset '''all '''firefox printer settings.
    ''Reset firefox printer settings:''
    1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter.
    2. In the Filter field, type print.print_printer.
    3. Right-click on the print.print_printer setting and select Reset.
    4. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (File menu in Windows XP) and then click Exit.
''The first way was just simple reset of firefox printer settings. However, if it failed to solve the problem then you need a full reset of all firefox printer settings. ''
    1. Open your profile folder: At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button, go over to the Help menu (on Windows XP, click on the Help menu) and select Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open.
    2. Under the Application Basics section, click on Open Containing Folder. A window with your profile files will open. Note: If you are unable to open or use Firefox, follow the instructions in Finding your profile without opening Firefox.
    3. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (File menu in Windows XP) and then click Exit.
    4. In your profile folder, copy the prefs.js file to another folder to make a backup of it.
    5. Open the original prefs.js file in a text editor (such as Wordpad).
    6. Remove all lines in prefs.js that start with print. and save the file.

  • How can I print out all notes?

I have over 200 notes and I would like to print out a copy to keep as a reference. Is it possible to somehow print out all of the notes at once without having to open up each one individually and print them out.

It's not a file, so you can't "open" one file. Every message (and note) is a single file on the computer.
This Applescript will grab all the notes in the selected mailbox (i.e. the selected Notes item in Mail) and put them in a textEdit document.
Note that Mail doesn't differentiate between a note and an email message, so if you run this while a normal email mailbox is selected, it will gather all of your email messages.
    tell application "Mail"
set theMailboxes to the selected mailboxes of message viewer 0
    repeat with aMailbox in theMailboxes
set theNotes to the messages of aMailbox
    set theText to ""
    repeat with aNote in theNotes
set theText to theText & content of aNote & return
    end repeat
    end repeat
    end tell
    tell application "TextEdit"
    set myDocument to make new document at end of documents with properties {text:theText}
    end tell
Copy and paste this into a new AppleScript Editor Document, select the Notes mailboxes you want to print the notes from, and click the Run button (Green button with arrow).
    This may take a while.

  • How can I print out a list of email addresses from my address book?

I would like to print out a hard copy of all the email addresses which I have in stored in my address book or are they stored in "mail"? It would come in handy at times especially when using a public computer somwhere.
    Thanks, Hans

    Hi,
If you have Lion on the computer then all the Contact Info is sent via iCloud to the iOS 5 device which presumably you do take with you.
The Address Book stores the info you have told it.
This tends to be Contacts that you have "Real Names" for in addition to something like an email or iChat Screen Name.
The Mail App does store all contact emails that you have had.
See Window Menu > Previous Recipients.
These are marked as to which are already in the Address Book.
You could select this whole list and copy it to text Edit and Print from there.
I have not tried Printing from the Address Book
