Printing pages file makes different result.

I made pages file like this.
however, if i print it by pdf, the result is different like this.
if i print it on paper, the result is same with pdf one.
Do you have any idea?

It seems like that the subscript causes the problem....

Can you sync pages files on different devices with different apple ids?  I have a personal iPad and one given to me for work. They are set up with two different apple IDs.  I do all of my lesson plans in pages.  I want to be able to create plans on both devices, but need to know if there is a way to sync the files without emailing, etc.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
No, that's not possible. A better way of working around this than emailing the documents to yourself is to use a third party storage solution such as Dropbox and a webDAV server to upload the documents.

  • Import Problem - duplicate page, duplicate app, different result

I exported/imported this application earlier today. Then I added some components to it and repeated the export/import and got the error below.
Alright, so it turns out I needed to delete the application in the destination database before re-importing it. Then it works ok.
But I've imported a single page several times and it handles duplication completely differently. So I wasn't expecting this type of error.
    Ugly error message.

Actually Import/Export of application is different from that of pages. In case of page you have dmp file but for application there are SQL scripts being generated.

Is there an app I can purchase for my PC to allow me to download a Numbers file from iCloud and work on it in Pages, so I can make changes to it and re-upload it to iCloud?  I do realize that one can down a Numbers file into Excel or PDF on a PC, however it does not allow upload of a new file into the Cloud after changes are made to that downloaded document.

  • Exporting and Printing Page Setup is Different to Screen

Hi All hope someone can help.
I've created a document in Pages and all the formatting is fine on the screen and if I view the file in quick view but if I print or convert to PDF it seems to about 70% of full size with a huge margin in the left, top and bottom.
I"ve triple checked my page setup and all is fine and as the file looks good in quick view I'm wondering if something is wrong when it exports. I have no idea where to go from here.
    All help graciously received.

Do you have the Comment field on? That is the only way I can reproduce the described behavior.

  • Printing same document to different printers results in differint number of pages

Hello - when I print a form, created in a custom application, to an HP 1160, it prints on 4 pages.  When I use the same computer and application to print the form to an HP 1320, it prints on 3 pages.  The form was designed to print on 3 pages, and when I compare the 4 page printout to the 3 page printout, the font size on the 3 page  printout is slightly smaller.  Is there anything I can do, short of replacing my 1160 printers with 1320s?
    Thank You

First of all, you can't use Adobe Reader to add, delete or duplicate pages in a PDF file (unless you use a template object), so you're either using Adobe Acrobat, or some other application entirely.
The size of PDF files is not linear, ie if you have 1-page file and it's 1 MB, then duplicating it will results in a 2-page file of 2 MB, or a 10-page file of 10 MB. Many items in a PDF document only need to be saved once (such as font information, image information in some cases, etc.), so the change in size when adding additional pages is sometimes very small. At other times it can be very big, though. You can have a 100-page file that is 1 MB and then add a single page to it, with a new font perhaps, and the size will jump to 5 MB, just because that font is very large...

  • ADOBE READER (9.4.1) prints several files from one Word doc with different pages formats

I work with Word for Mac, version 11.6.1
When I have one document with several pages setup (say different sizes, or landscape and vertical orientation) and I need to convert to PDF, I got several PDF files, one for each page section of my document.
How can I get only one PDF for my whole document ?
    Thanks a lot.

Actually, I'm not very familiar with this kind of technology, so I'll do my best trying to find out solution following your recommendation.

  • I am trying to create a print ready PDF from a word file with unacceptable results.

I am trying to create a print ready PDF from a word file with unacceptable results.
The word file has a trim size of 6” x 9”. It has been set to mirror margins with the inner, top and bottom margins set to 0.75”, the outer margin is set to 0.5” and the gutter to 0.14”.
It doesn’t matter if I create the PDF from inside Word, or open Acrobat Pro 11.0.9 and click Create From File, while the resulting document size is correct and the odd numbered pages reflect the correct margins, the even numbered pages do not. This results in some text near the outer margin, as well as the page numbers being omitted.
Does anyone know how to correct this?
I just noticed that some of the odd numbered pages' text is also cropped. Apparently Acrobat is refusing to set side margins to smaller than 1" (@ 3cm).

I'm away from my printer, so I'll try it later. Even so, the proposed test is irrelevant. I operate a small publishing house and am trying to upload certain novels to Ingram, the largest book distributor in the world. The specifications I've set are the specifications they've asked for. Since they've said that the results I'm obtaining are unacceptable, and since they demand submission in PDF form, this renders Acrobat Pro for Mac completely unacceptable for anyone in the publication industry. As far as I can tell, Adobe has a serious bug here that it needs to fix—and at once.

  • Can print PS file but not make PDF

Printing to a PostScript printer with a customized PostScript driver in WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS is what we do every day, but when we print the same job to a PS file we can't make a PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4. What can we do to make a PDF? Here is the error message from Distiller:
    Processing prologue.ps...
    Done processing prologue.ps.
%%[ Error: rangecheck; OffendingCommand: setpagedevice; ErrorInfo: InputAttributes --nostringval-- ]%%
    Stack:
    -dict-
    -save-
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
If I knew what to edit in the PS file to make it print a PDF, that would be one workaround. But I'm very curious why our printer (HP LaserJet 4050 with a Level 2 PostScript emulator) will print a file that Distiller won't process. Here is the only place in the PS file that mentions setpagedevice:
    /manualfeed true put usertime 5000 add {dup usertime lt {pop exit} if} loop <</InputAttributes <<31<< /PageSize [612 792] /MediaType (Standard) >>/Priority []>> >>setpagedevice << /PageSize [612 792] /MediaType (Standard) >> setpagedevice _bp 0 13200 10200 _ornt /PlantinR 400 _ff
    0 13200 10200 _ornt
"612 792" is, of course, the page size in points
Trying to make the PDF from the the PS file that was meant for another PostScript printer (HP LaserJet 2200D), we get the same Distiller error message. This time the PS file contains:
    letter <</InputAttributes <<-1<< /PageSize [612 792]  /MediaType (Standard) >>/Priority []>> >>setpagedevice << /PageSize [612 792]  /MediaType (Standard) >> setpagedevice _bp 0 13200 10200 _ornt /PlantinR 400 _ff
    0 13200 10200 _ornt
This passage from the 2nd attempt has much in common with the first PS attempt. What does Distiller mean by the InputAttributes having "nostringval"? What stringval would work?
By substituting this from an uncustomized driver that does work,
letter statusdict begin true setduplexmode false settumble end _bp 0 13200 10200 _ornt /PlantinR 400 _ff
    0 13200 10200 _ornt
and by removing an offending command BRst, a PDF is created. But it doesn't have any of the special fonts that were downloaded. Still, that's progress.

Thank you. The first line of the PS file is "%!PS-Adobe", so I conclude that the origin of the uncustomized PostScript driver was Adobe; WordPerfect Corp. supplied it to purchasers of their software. Uncustomized (except for new Type 3 fonts), the PostScript driver still works splendidly for creating PS files that are easily distilled into PDFs. We only use Adobe software for this purpose.
By editing parts of the problem PS file I am just now able to get the PDF. But it requires replacing the following on every page:
    letter <</InputAttributes <<-1<< /PageSize [612 792]  /MediaType (Standard) >>/Priority []>> >>setpagedevice << /PageSize [612 792]  /MediaType (Standard) >> setpagedevice _bp 0 13200 10200 _ornt /PlantinR 400 _ff0 13200 10200 _ornt
    with this:
    letter statusdict begin true setduplexmode false settumble end _bp 0 13200 10200 _ornt /PlantinR 400 _ff0 13200 10200 _ornt
I will continue working these codes. It ought to be possible to get paging codes that are less laborious to replace or otherwise get working, and obviously some of the codes can be eliminated.
We're not in a position to give up our highly customized driver for mathematical logic printing on paper until a volume of historical text is finished. Smoother produced PDFs must be possible for an electronic edition.
The other snag I mentioned, "BRst", came from a text file of "pskeys" that was to be downloaded with the job. It works when I simply insert pskeys.txt into the PS file.

I have pdf file with 500 pages created from AutoCad file. In all pages, I have different document numbers. The file is not editable in pdf. How to change all the document numbers using "Comment" feature? Any alternate method?  alternate method? I have Adobe Acrobat X Pro and Windows -7 platform.

Yes, I just want to cover up all the pages for those particular area of document numbers.
Nothing sensitive about it. I just want to show the correct document numbers on all pages in print out.
So, I wanted to cover up by comments, but commenting on each page will be difficult. So, I wanted to comment the same on all pages.

  • "Try Selecting a Different Printer or File Type" Error - iPad2 - Officejet Pro 8600 - ePrint error

    Greetings...
I just got an Officejet Pro 8600 and I've been trying to get web pages to print using HP ePrint from my iPad 2 (iOS 7.0.6). I go into the ePrint app, go to web page of choice, and then click on my printer option to print. It renders on screen and then throws out the following error:
"Try Selecting a Different Printer or File Type" "Officejet Pro 8600 [5124FC] doesn't support this file type."
I can use ePrint from the iPad to print pictures from camera roll.
This only is problematic when I try to print web pages (I tried amazon.com for test).
I have no problems doing this from my iPhone...only the iPad.
I've tried rebooting device and trying again....same thing.
Anybody know how to fix this? I really want to be able to print web pages from my iPad.
    Thanks in advance...
    Possie

    Hello Possie,
Thank you for the update.  I have to say I'm surprised and disappointed that the uninstall and reinstall did not resolve the issue, especially since you can print the page from your iPhone.
I have spent some time researching this and working with my colleagues in HP's Cloud Services and we have a couple of suggestions/questions.
Do you get the same error when you try to print the web page using Apple's AirPrint feature?
Please ensure the iPad is connect to your home wireless network and try to print again.
Please try changing the settings in the ePrint app before printing the web page.  Please ensure that the paper quality is set to normal (see screen shot below) and that the paper size is set to letter (see 2nd screen shot below).
Please let us know how it goes.

  • I had a web page I wanted to save so I printed to file. I found it, eventually, in the Mozilla Beta directory but as a "application/octet-stream". How do I get it back, open it, use it. I need it

There do not seem to be any options on how or where files are save when you choose 'print to file' nor how to retrieve them.

[http://www.timeatlas.com/term_to_learn/general/prn_files_fill_the_gaps This] is a good explanation of the process. Print to file converts the page to a format for a specific printer that has drivers installed on the PC. Once the file has been converted, Firefox or even another printer model may not be able to read it. In Firefox, you can use '''File''' ('''Alt''' + '''F''') > '''Save Page as''' or right-click on a page, to save the web page in a format Firefox understands. Perhaps there may be an extension that may enable Firefox to read such a file, like the plugins Firefox uses to present the different media types. In this case the extension would have to come from the printer manufacturer.
And, there are other ways to print that file without using any extra software. Please see [http://filext.com/faq/print_from_prn_file.php this]. I tried this.
Well, I too learned something new. Thank you :)

  • Printing different/selective files with different copies

    Hi everyone,
I've been working on finding a solution, on how to print different pdf files with different copies, without opening the pdf-files.
    Task:
I have a folder, with 25 pdf files
I want to make a php overview, of the folder
At the end of each line/file - i would like to add a number for the copies
In the end, I would like to simply press print - and every document ive added a number/copies to - are being printet...
I guess I need to use PrintPDF - but does anyone know any pre-made program/function - that could handle the "copies" part...?
I hope someone can help me out,
    Thanks
    Jan

Well, i had hoped that the acrobat could open silent - eventhough they've removed that feature in the newer versions.
Even though the program would open - if the amount of copies was added - and i just hat to press print - it would ease the job alot.

Hi and welcome to the RoboHelp forums. You may be better placed to ask this question on the Acrobat forums as I expect knowledge about printing PDFs would be limited here. However I suspect that you'll need to set-up different Print Options inside Acrobat to do what you want. This is not my area of expertise though.
