Printing PDF doesnt show added note

I have a user with Adobe Acrobat 6.0 and when she adds a textbox to a pdf file and prints it, the added text does not show. Is there a certain way to add notes/textboxes and have it show up on a printed paper? Thanks

The note is a type of markup,, so one needs to select 'docounte and markups' for the "Comments and Forms" oprtions on the print UI.
One can also edit the applications preferences and undet the 'comments' select the "Print notes and comments'.

The application auto-saves your input when you close the document.  If you left the document, as you state, the notes/comments should have been saved and should have been visible the next time you opened the document with the Mobile Reader (note that if you are opening the document with another app such as Apple's built in PDF Viewer, things like notes/comments may not be visible).  Also note that if you are doing an Open In... from another app (like Dropbox), the version of the document in Dropbox does not update; only the version of the document in the Mobile Reader is updated.

  • Printing PDF pages shows up as a black screen.

On my Mac OS 10.8.4 I am unable to print a PDF page.  When I pick the pages to print,  it shows up as a black page. The error messages says I haven't chosen a page to print. Under preview all I see is black pages.
    Now what?

Which browser? Does the problem persist with a different browser?
I am able to print it from my G5 to the printer.
Great. Does the G5 have the same version of the OS, Adobe Reader, and Preview as your iMac?
Wonder if my Canon printer is the problem
Maybe not since your stated in your original post that ...
Under preview all I see is black pages.
If you see black pages, that is what will print.

  • Exporting document as print PDF having custom Links not raising "CreateResourceStream" on custom Links Resource Handler.

Print PDF export not raising any callBack(CanCreateResourceStream, CreateResourceStream) on my custom resource handler (ILinkresourceHandler) this lead to Low resolution images on PDF on other hand all Other export like Interactive PDF, PNG, JPEG even Print are working fine .CustomDataLink Sample also have same problem .

Print PDF Export & IDML Export work on background thread means only model plugin get callbacks related to PDF export but my LinkResourceHandle Implemented in UI Plugin so I fix my problem by moving LinkResourceHandler implementation to new model plugin.if you want it to be in UI pligon only than put an empty text file name "DisableAsyncExport" in macos content folder inside app on mac, this will disable background export of PDF & IDML .

  • Printing pdf - extra characters added

When printing from a downloaded pdf to another pdf or to hardcopy on our HP printer, extra characters are being added.  For example, the letter "j" is being added to the end of every word in one italicized paragraph, while a ":" is being added to the end of every word in another italicized paragraph.  The problem does not occur for all italicized items or paragraphs, only some.  I'm using Acrobat Professional 8.1.4.  This problem does not occur when using Acrobat 5 (which we have on one computer here for various reasons).  I've tried optimizing and flattening but they seem to have no effect.  Any ideas?  (There is no way to access the original source document used to generate the original pdf - I have re-downloaded it with no change.)

Try updating AA8. It is currently at AA8.2.3. May not solve the problem, but worth the try.

  • How to automatically ensure printing pdf in safari does not crop content

I realized today that printing  and saving as pdf in safari has been cropping my content. I dont know when this change occured or why, but at some point in time, content I've saved from safari by printing and saving as pdf has cropped the pages.
Is there a way to make sure that printing in safari selects a page size that automatically does NOT crop the content. As it stands now it automatically selects US paper size and that crops all my bank statements. I can put in a custom size buts its really inconcenient to have to do that every time. And every time, it reverts back to US paper. This was never a problem for me in the past and I'm not sure whats changed.
    thanks

Just to update, even if I select a custom size in print settings for the computer, safari automatically goes to US paper. Even if I select to scale content to fit, it still crops the content.
    I've also trashed Library/Preferences/com.apple.print.PrintingPrefs.plist

  • Printing PDF's In Preview Not Working Well

I use a ScanSnap scanner to scan several hundred page documents and then print them in whole or in part using Preview. There used to be an option to have multiple "images" (if I remember the phrasing correctly) per page (2, 4, 8, 16 etc) but now that option has become "copies". When it was "images", it would place successive pages of the PDF, now, it simply duplicates the PDF pages onto the actual printed pages. For me, that meant that I could use two sided printing and print essentially 4 pages of the PDF file on only physical sheet of paper.
Now, before someone mentions it, there is an option under the "layout" section of number of pages per sheet, and this does what I want, but with huge margins compared to the other method.
Also, if anyone is worried that the whole idea of the Scnsnap was to go paperless; I have an excellent reason for needing to scan these documents and then print selected sections as I have described.

I have the same problem where preview squishes the lines together.  It seems it is on 1/2 spacing instead of 1 line spacing.  To correct this I have to double space to get it to look single space.  I created the fillable form in Acrobat X as multiline.
This first screenshot is text typed into the fillable form.
This is the result when I click out of the form - it returns squished.
I add returns and make the form entry double space.
Now the result with double spacing in the filliable space makes it single space.
    Very annoying!

  • Reader Plug-in not printing PDFs correctly after InDesign Install on Mac OS 10.9.5

Installed InDesign trial yesterday. Ever since, no matter what browser I use, if I try to print PDFs from a browser, if the pages are in portrait mode, it will display them in portrait mode within the browser, but when I go to print them, the page appears in landscape and the bottom of each page does not print. It doesn't matter whether I select portrait or landscape mode. The page in the preview does not rotate. Some of the websites I use do not allow saving of a PDF, only viewing it in my browser window, so I can't save and use Preview to try to print it.
    HELP!
    SpikeDDS

Are you using Adobe Reader or Apple Preview to print PDFs?
You should not use Apple Preview to do anything with PDFs as it is not a reliable PDF viewer. Use Adobe Acrobat or Reader for PDFs only.
Do you have installed any PDF plugins? On the Apple PDFs are shown without any plugins because their graphic engine Quartz is based on PDF, but it does not support completely every PDF standard, so it is better to use Adobe Acrobat or Reader. (But Apple Preview has been improved in the newest upgrades from Apples OS, so it is much better than before.)

How to add a screenshot to a forum message from iPad/iPhone
Regarding printing PDF documents...It depends on the PDF document that you are trying to print.  In general, it will take longer to print more complex and larger PDF documents.
If you are willing to share your PDF document (that takes forever to print) with us at [email protected], we can test it with the same version (11.6.3) of Adobe Reader on different iOS versions (iOS 7.x vs. iOS 8.x).  Please include the link to this forum (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1616231) in your email message for reference.
Actual printing is handled by iOS (not by Adobe Reader) via AirPrint over Wi-Fi connection.  We've heard from other users about iOS 8 Wi-Fi connectivity problems.

  • Printer not print pdf file

I have HP deskjet 1510 all in one printer. I have complete all requried things for installation. and i can print word file in my printer. but when i am doing same for pdf file it's not working. i will explain brief.
    first i open pdf file.
then i am click on print button
in printer there is only show send to onenote 2010 and fax option.
i am trying those both but i get nothing.
    pls help me.

    Hi @pl157
I understand you can print from Word, but when printing from your PDF program you do not see the printer.
I suggest using the following steps to delete the printer from device and printers, and the driver from the server properties.
    1. In the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder
    2. Choose ‘Print server properties’.
Win XP – With no printer selected, click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
Windows Vista – With no printer selected, press ‘Alt’ then click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.
Windows 7/8 and 8.1 – Select any printer in the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder and click ‘Print Server properties’ above.
    3. Click on the ‘Drivers’ tab at the top of ‘Print server properties’ window
    4. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click ‘Remove’
    5. Choose 'Remove driver only'
    6. The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click ‘Yes’ to say that you are sure you want to do this.
If documents are stuck in the print spooler, you may see an error, cancel any documents pending in the print queue, or try restarting the print spooler, then try to remove the driver from ‘Print server properties’ again. If it still won’t remove the package, restarting the computer and the printer should resolve this ‘in use’ error and allow the driver to be removed.
After the driver is removed, open Start > All Programs > HP folder > Printer folder > HP Setup and Software (or the printer icon).
The Setup and software screen will open and you can click on Connect a new printer.
If the issue persists let me know and I will do what I can to help.

  • Printing PDF files with smb/cups not possible // SLPReg status -20!

    Hello *,
i am running SAMBA 3.6.1-1 and CUPS 1.5.0-1 on a dedicated system. Printer: Canon Pixma IP4500 (USB).
The problem is that all Windows 7 clients are not able to print PDF files (since few months) on that printer while printing these files with Linux software is no problem. The PDF files are neither encrypted nor forbidden to print.
I tried to print with Adobe Acrobat Reader X (latest) and Foxit Reader. Both are preparing the pages to be printed and close their printing dialog after processing. Windows printing queue does not show any jobs (which it even does not when printing simple images with MS Paint, which is not a problem).
Windows systems are using the Canon Inkjet 4500 and Canon iP 4500 driver (manually installed). Printing images works with both drivers.
I searched for "SLPReg […] failed with status -20!" but found no helpful information.

  • HP 7780 All in One Printer will not print PDF files!!!

I have an HP 7780 All in One printer setup as a network printer.  It will copy, scan, and print everything except PDF files.  Why will it not print PDF files?  You send a PDF file to print.  The printer spins up like its about to start printing and then nothing.  No error message or nothing.  Nothing even shows up in the print queue as waiting to print.

Happy Monday edam. Green is actually the result of two or more color mixed together. Lets try printing a self test report:
Make sure the All-in-One is on and loaded with unused, plain, white paper.
Press Setup . The Setup Menu appears.
Press the down arrow button to select Tools , and then press OK .
Select Self-test Report , and press OK . The self-test report prints.
Let me know the results of the self test. Are all the colors present on the self test or are you missing specific colors?
    Thanks!

  • PDF files that do not print out on paper but are OK on screen

Print PDF files when produced in ADOBE XI from  Excel 2010 worksheets
The PDF files appear ok on the screen but do not print out all of the text on paper.
Formating is recognised and printed oK but not text.
Font segoe UI size 9 point - colours used default, blue and brown.  What little that is printed shows all colours OK but not all body of text
This problem has been reported to me from dozens of my Clients and I have the same problem when printing hardcopy.
    Can anybody help ?

I tried a font change on an abstracted part of the original file.  I selected Ariel - the majority of the page printed - headers and footers partialy printed.  But it is a step forward thank you.
My choice of Font Segoe UI (True type) font as a default was after reading an article which stated that Segoe and another font, were fast becoming a "Microsoft computer standard font".
A further question falls out of my problem is why is there no problem when a client of mine converted the original Excel Workbook with Adobe 9 and had no such problem ?.
I do not have ADOBE 9 and cannot test it myself - but why should it work with an older version of ADOBE ?
