Printing pdfs to Epson printers, images do not print properly

I have Adobe Acrobat Professional v8.2.5 and Windows 7 64k and since the recent upgrade of Acrobat when I print to either of my Epson printers (Epson Aculaser 2600 and Epson Stylus Office BX610FW) the text is fine but images are smeared or just print as a block of print with no detail.  I don't seem to have this problem with HP printers and I don't recall making any changes to the printer settings. Up until about three weeks ago I did not have this problem.
If I save the pdf file as a tiff or jpg etc then everything prints fine.
Any ideas anyone?

Not sure how to back up you did, though Time Machine could be your friend.

    Have you installed Apple's latest Epson drivers?

  • Why do QTVR interactive images do not function properly or at all?

    QTVR interactive images do not function properly. Check this page out in firefox and then in safari and see the difference.....
    http://www.edfruinphotography.com/MILLCITY_2.html

    I have Safari 5.1.7. I am using Mac Snow Leopard.
    That page is using Flash as well as Quicktime. With Firefox, when I drag the cursor, there is no movement until I let go of the button. That makes it very jerky.
    You could try disabling hardware acceleration and see if that works better with Firefox, in Preferences > Advanced > General.

    images are not displaying properly i.e Broken .they are not opening in any website even in facebook

    Hi Himanshu,
    Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab, click the "Reset" button.
    Close all open IE windows and then start IE and try again.
    Post consumer questions about IE to http://answers.microsoft.com (Help>Online Support menu from IE.)... at the answers forum you have to select what version of windows and IE you are using with your question...
    which you did not stipulate here.
    You can also choose at answers your preferred language and receive an answer in your preferred language.
    Also include with your questions to answers, the FULL address of any websites you are having problems with... so that the support engineers can visit and test the web page...
    Just saying Facebook is not sufficient as when you say 'pictures' are not displaying...perhaps you mean 'video' pictures... also websites like Facebook have different addresses for different parts of the world.
    eg. http://facebook.com.au/ or http://youtube.com.au/nasa
    This forum is for questions from System Administrators who manage 100's of computers that use IE with IEAK and GPO.

  • I'm attempting to create a pdf from InDesign and the Illustrator image does not appear properly.

    I'm attempting to create a pdf from InDesign and the Illustrator logo does not appear properly. The logo has a light blue color background with a black to white gradiant over it with a multiply designation set at 100%.  I flattened the logo in illustrator before importing into InDesign. When the pdf is created, the blue background of the logo drops out and the only thing showing is the graduated screen of black. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

    Thanks for your reply Peter,
    I'm on Mac OSX (10.5.8) using Acrobat 7 Professional and Acrobat
    Reader 9 to view the pdf. I created it by exporting. Attached is a
    screen capture of the letterhead. Since I posted, I sent a test pdf to
    my partner's computer eventhough it didn't look right on my system and
    she said it looked fine to her. I've restarted my computer and tried
    again and still get the same results.

  • Lately pdf files from the Web do not display properly; what is wrong and how can I fix it so I don't have to use IE?

    I am a professor and frequently need to open pdfs of academic journal articles from electronic databases. Within the last two or three weeks, when I try to do this using Firefox, only the first page of the pdf displays and the rest are blank. In addition, a bar appears across the top with the message "This pdf file may not display properly." So I have had to switch to Internet Explorer to open the files and do my research. What is going on and how can I fix it so I can open pdf files from the Web in Firefox and have them display properly?

    My question is simple - why would you put an application in production that has a lot of bugs? To replace a good and steady Adobe product? My customers will believe that I put a pathetic fallible form online. They are not sophisticated on computers so I just tell them to use IE. Ugh
    I must agree with pgwebgirl!

  • Images,css not appearing properly after accessing the reverse proxy page.

    Usecase :
    1) OHS1 with mod_osso agent deployed.
    2) OHS1 configured as reverse proxy.It points to the webserver(OHS2) of the app1.
    OHS1(mod_osso agent installed)-->OHS2(app1 webserver)
    3) httpd.conf entry in OHS1:
    ProxyRequests Off
    <Proxy *>
    Order deny,allow
    Allow from all
    </Proxy>
    ProxyPass /test/ http://tkcltkcl.padma.xxx.com:8088/test/
    ProxyPassReverse /test/ http://tkcltkcl.padma.xxx.com:8088/test/
    4) The direct url for appl1 works as per expectation. The reverse proxy redirects from the OHS1 correctly to the app1 OHS webserver accessing the app1 url.But the contents in the redirected app1 url are not aligned properly.Images,css,placement of html links are not appearing properly on the page.
    Do we need to do any other configuration in the revere proxy setup so as to avoid the misalignment on the redirected page?
    Thanks.

    Hi:
    Thanks for the reply! I have been UTTERLY scrupulous about
    keeping precisely time-matched and points-in-my-process-matched
    copies of the project folder for logical, "scientific" testing in
    RH5 and RH7, on precisely matched content.
    I have never even tried to open an RH7-processed copy of the
    project in RH5 because I was warned strongly against this action.
    It boils down to this; I cleaned up, FANATICALLY, all those
    illegitmate filenames, ran the project again in 5, still got
    impermissible missing images (and I mean MORALLY impermissible,
    because I'm doing the right thing!)
    Then, I took that project folder, copied it, and opened the
    exact same ingredients, via the .xpj file, in RH7. Same missing
    images.
    WAIT! Left out something important in first post! Dang; this
    was important! I've fixed missing images, had them appear properly
    upon compilation, then had others that HAD been right, come out
    missing. Have also had reimported, re-placed images come out upon
    compilation following repair, and then go missing again on third or
    later, subsequent compilations. Maddening.
    Am EXTREMELY reluctant to delete CPD file, because the last
    time I did that, I lost EXTENSIVE work I'd done on TOC and Index.
    Not cool at all.
    Hope this wasn't too cranky; truly grateful for help. Just
    very frustrated.
    Thanks!

  • Icon image is not shown properly in LInux

    Hi,
    I am creating a JDialog as follows:
    JDialog jd = new JDialog(frame, true);
    in the frame, I have set the icon using
    frame.setIconImage(image),
    but the image set to this is not shown properly in Linux, but it is shown clearly in windows,
    can anybody show some light here.
    thanx,
    Raj

    I would put my money on the fact that since your application is timing out, it is dropping any state that your View Objects otherwise had before the application timeout.
    So upon reauthorizing and reaccessing the application (and going directly to the detail page) the View Object is reinstantiated and only knows to go to its default data set which is 111.
    If my assumption is correct, I don't think you could really implement this without a lot of trouble.

  • Opening PDF files using preview on some PDF file result in the content not displaying properly. The file I tried to look at has pictures and text. The pictures are displayed ok but the text is shown as pixalated boxes. The same file opens ok via a PC.

    Solutions please. Accessing PDF files online using preview normally works ok. However there are a clutch of files on the mothers union web site that although can be opened, present text as pixalated boxes. The pictures contained in the documents are however displayed OK. I experience the same problem on my Imac and my wifes laptop that runs Lion. The same site has other PDF files that can be opend OK. If I access the same problem files using a PC laptop running microsoft windows, they are opened OK with the text displayed as it should be. This is driving me mad....

    The offending PDF files were created using word
    Yes. Word 2007. (You can see it in Preview if you do ⌘I or choose Tools > Show Inspector.) And it's the transparency issue. The three pics attached show the Jan 2012 newsletter (a) in Preview, (b) in Acrobat Pro, (c) again in Preview, after I saved it in Acrobat, flattening the transparency.
    For you, the solution is to use Adobe Reader -- with due note taken of
    <http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb12-01.html>
    For them, I don't know. Presumably, they wish max compatibility for their newsletter, but I really don't know how Office 2007 generates PDF. Maybe they should check transparency settings and flatten before generating PDF? Or perhaps save as PDF v1.4 instead of PDF v1.5? I would use Distiller, but perhaps they can't afford it.

    /You are trying to output a clob using UTL_FILE.PUT which takes a varchar2 parameter, and thus has a limit of 32767 bytes. That could be problematic unless you know you are outputting less than 32K, in which case you should just store your data in a varchar2 in the first place.
    You could use multiple UTL_FILE.PUT statements in a loop outputting up to 32767 bytes at a time, though you have to flush the UTL_FILE buffer to ensure you don't exceed 32K before flushing.
    Alternatively, you can output CLOB data using some other techniques such as...
    DBMS_XSLPROCESSOR.clob2file(
      cl => p_clob
    , flocation => p_dir
    , fname => dest_file
    );However, it's not even clear if that is causing you a problem, as we don't have your data
    And for gawds sake, get rid of the stupid exception handler:
    exception
    when others then
    dbms_output.put_line('Error : '||SQLERRM);

  • Attached CMYK Images do not display properly

    When I attach RGB jpgs, or pdfs to an email they display correctly in the window, but a CMYK jpg displays looking like a photographic negative. Why is this? and does the person who receives the email see it displayed in the same way?

    hi,
    i think images needs to be in rgb mode, so you can view it correctly in browsers or in email apps.

  • Having problems with text, some images are not displaying properly

    when opening an image( as screenshot) in firefox support forum, the close button is not showing instead a number code is shown in a box

    That is a font problem.<br />
    It looks that the font that is used doesn't have a glyph for this character: &amp;#x2716; - &#x2716;

    You can consider to install the DejaVu font.

    I see more little boxes with a hex code that indicate that the used font is missing those glyphs and Firefox doesn't seem to be looking for them in another font as would normally happen.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    *Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

  • Transparent images are not viewing properly. please help

    after the latest update version 25, there is always a white background
    even the firefox addon transparent-standalone-imag doesn't work

    It seems I found a workaround.
    You need to install Greasemonkey, go to this link:
    https://userscripts.org/scripts/show/153158
    (Standalone Image Background and Transparency) and install script. After that you can change background options of standalone images.
    I always thought that dirty gray background, instead of transparency, was something like a bug, but it is just retarded feature =/
