Printing photos I am confused, please help

Question

I am a little confused as to how to best send you the
prints in the correct format.
If I go through and under the edit function of each
individual photo I want to send to be printed manually
crop it and constrain it to 4X£ (as recommended by
Apple) does this permanantly leave t in the correct
aspect and size for the printing process? I ask this
because if I then revert to the organise function and
then back into edit the condtrain has reverted back to
"NONE". If I then constrain to 4X3 again the picture
loses even more off of it and this process can
continue until a lot of the subject matter has been
cropped.
So the question I am asking is if I go into the edit
function once and constrain it to 4X3 then crop the
result does that remain (unless I revert to original)
in the correct format (aspect and size) to send to be
printed without losing any more of my picture ?
Secondly Is this something I have to do picture by
picture ?
Thirdly why does a photo I have taken on a digital
camera have to be ammended into a 4X3 format fo
rprinting ?
Lastly, If I want a print of a pictue I have
contrained (to 4X3) and then cropped printed in
different sizes e.g 4X6 and 7X5 is the whole picture
going to get printed in both sizes ?

Always go back the origianl file EVERY time you crop. Keep in mind that when you do crop, IPHOTO saves another file with that crop, It doesn't save over the original. Like peter said, if you keep cropping cropped images they will started coming out pixelated (you can start to see the pixels)
Yes it is something you have to do picture by picture, but only if you want to. You can print without cropping in any size, but the default center crop on some image sizes may cause you to lose some of your print. (ie a little bit off the top and bottom on a 4x6)
So if you have subject detail right at the top and bottom of your image, it is best to crop.
