Printing Photos Misalignment Problem

I was getting constant jams using 5x7glossy print paper
It would pring one than jam, print one or two then jam.
Now it prints but cuts off about two inches of the photo which appears on the print as just white space.
I am getting no warning or indication of a malfunction on the machine.
I thought it might correct itself, by turning the machine off and a minute later back on, by printing new photos, but so far nothing works.
It does not affect normal text printing.
Would appreciate any help I can get.

Hello @efx,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I would like to assist you today with resolving the printing issue that you're experiencing when printing photos on glossy paper from your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-All-in-One. Because normal text printing works fine, I am inclined to say that there is either a setting issue within the program that you're printing from or a roller issue that is causing the paper to 'slip' when being printed. Can I please have you follow the steps below to resolve this printing issue.
Step 1: Update Firmware:
To start troubleshooting I am going to have you send the latest Firmware Programming Update to your printer. The Firmware is essentially the 'brains' of your printer. It controls what your printer does and how your printer does it. If there is an issue within the internal programming in your printer it can cause your HP Officejet to not respond properly. Please click here to download and install the latest Firmware. Once the Firmware Update Tool launches, please follow the onscreen prompts to 'send' the Firmware to your printer.
Once the Firmware has been successfully updated please try to print again on the glossy paper. Should the printout still show cut off please proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Check Paper:
Never overload the paper tray. The maximum capacity of the input tray is 250 sheets of paper
Do not push the paper too far into the tray
Load only one type of paper at a time in the paper tray. Never mix different types, weights, or sizes of paper
Do not use paper that is bent, torn, wrinkled or curled
You can only print specialty paper (Photo paper) from Tray 1 on your machine
Step 3: Test Copier:
To verify if this printing issue is being caused by a setting within the program that you're printing from on your computer I am going to have you perform a Copy on the glossy photo paper.
Load the glossy paper in your paper tray. Ensure that the glossy side is face down.
Load an image you wish to test Copy on the flatbed glass on your machine
Touch the Copy button on the front panel
Select Settings
Select Paper Size: 5 X 7 inches
Select Paper Type: choose the Premium Photo Paper, Advanced Photo Paper, Everyday Photo Paper, or just Photo Paper. Pick the option that matches your paper type.
Once adjustments have been made please run a Colour Copy or Black Copy
If the paper feeds and copies correctly, than we know with 100% certainty that the HP Officejets hardware is functioning properly.  What program are you printing photos from on your computer?
If the paper fails to feed and copy correctly, than this issue is being caused by your printer. What weight and type of glossy photo paper are you using?
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you!

  • Epson printer PHOTO 710 problem

I cannot find the selection options for my printer (epson Photo 710W) . It sees it and prints but I cannot find the options of quality or speed etc.
It Works via WIFI but I am unable to choose the best quality. It just prints quickly but poorly.
    Any ideas?
    Pretty please!

You need to adjust the settings in your printer. The User Manual for the printer should have a section dealing with printer settings, and how to get there.
If you know the IP address of the printer, you may be able to get to the settings using that IP (192.168.x.y) in your browser. This image shows how it works with my Brother printer. Notice the blue "Printer Settings" link on the right.
The printer has to be connected and turned on. All I have to do is type in 192.168.2.24 (my printer IP) in my browser.

  • Problem printing photos in a lab with an exported iPhoto CD

    Hi all,
I wanted to print photos from my iPhoto library. I filled a complete CD with photos (altogether 317 picutures) and brought it to a printing shop (Pharamprix in Canada) to let them do the printing. Please note I have done that with my Windows PC before and it worked fine.
What has happened is the following. When I picked up the photos I could not believe what I saw, because I received around 700 printed pictures. Half of the stack was a blury, very grain pictures and the other half of it was clear.
So my guess is that the export (as I read in another article) of photos puts also other images (is guess also the thumbnails) on the CD.
Those images were intepereted by the photo shop and where printed accordingly. When I inserted the CD in my iPhoto it shows 317 photos, if I insert the CD into a Windows PC it shows roughly 700.
Did anyonee experience the same problem? How can I export it so that I do not have the problem again.
    Is Apple aware of this???
Any thoughts on that will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Gerd

Did you burn the CD by using the Share->Burn Disc menu option? If so then you burned an iPhoto formatted disk that included all of the thumbnails, original files of those you've edited and the edited files, all jpg files. The photofinisher's software look for jpgs and printed every thing it found.
To burn a CD of the photos you want to print, after selecting those images use the Share->Export->File Export menu option. In that window select full sized images. (It's best if you crop the images to the size you want printed beforehand so you don't leave the cropping to the automatic machine at the photofinisher.) Then export to a mounted blank CD and burn in the Finder.

  • I used to print my photos in my hp psc 2210 printer without any problem. Now it gets stuck towards

I used to print photos in my HP psc 2210 printer without any problem including the 8X11 enlarged photos, but now it gets caught at the end of the printing resulting in shortened images. Does it have to do with the thickness of the photo paper? It was able to do it before. Are there any adjustments to be made?

  • Photosmart C310A problem printing photo`s

Hi, I have always had a problem printing photo`s on any 6x4 photo paper over 180gm, the tray delivers the paper but it just seems to be to heavy for the rollers to drag the paper out, the sheet gets half way out of the tray and seems to jam, can anyone help please.
                             Cheers

    Hi roadsign-man,
Sounds like you need to clean the feed tires. Follow the instructions below.
    Clean the paper pick rollers
Dust or paper residue on the rollers inside the product can cause paper feed issues. Follow these steps to clean the rollers.
    Clean the paper pick rollers
    Gather the following materials:
A clean, lint-free cloth, or any cloth that will not come apart or leave fibers
Distilled, filtered, or bottled water (tap water might damage the product)
    A clean, lint-free cotton swab
Press the Power button ( ) to turn off the product.
Turn the product so that you can access the rear side.
Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Remove the two-sided printing accessory (duplexer) from the rear of the product. Push the right side of the duplexer to the left, and then pull out the duplexer.
Figure 5: Rear view of the product showing the duplexer
    Set the duplexer aside.
Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free cloth with bottled or distilled water, and then squeeze any excess liquid from the cloth.
Press the cloth against the rollers inside the product, and then rotate them upwards with your fingers. Apply a moderate amount of pressure to remove any dust or dirt buildup.
Figure 6: Clean the rollers in the product
Look inside the rear access area of the product to find the pick rollers. They are near the center of the product behind the paper feed rollers.
Figure 7: Location of the pick rollers
NOTE:You might need to use a flashlight to illuminate the pick rollers.
Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free cotton swab, and then use it to clean the pick rollers.
    Figure 8: The pick rollers
Allow the rollers to dry for 10 or 15 minutes.

  • After years of no problems I can't print photos. When I select print I get the message "There are no themes located. Until at least one theme has been installed this feature will be unavailable.  What are themes? How do I install them?

After years of no problems I sddenly can't print photos. When I select print I get the message "There are no themes located. Until at least one theme has been installed this feature will be unavailable.  What are themes? How do I install them? Why has this problem suddenly arisen?

Re-installing does not affect your Library in any way. You don't delete it, only the app.
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

  • Problem with print photo 13x18

hi i have a problem with print photo (13x18) size it cut in the end of photo i use hp photo creations but if choose 100%size or full screen  same result  please what can i do;  i am disapoint to buy this printer if photo print so

Cornelia-I, I used "single/image contact sheet" and there is a Lightroom
Template for 2x2 cells.  I modified this a little to make the cells smaller
to provide room for the captions and margins for hole punching and binding
    the sheets.
No, I surely did not type in each caption.  The captions were Title plus
Caption taken from the metadata plus a comma and # sign preceding the
filename which was a date/sequence number.  I was printing four different
images on each page and 36 images total so there were nine pages of the
    booklet.
I didn't try the idea of switching the Photo Info option off and back on to
the custom package because I had already created a custom preset and as soon
as I discovered that all it needed was to have a period added or removed at
the end of the line each time, it was easy to simply switch back and forth
between the two text presets which was doing the same thing you recommended.
Whole job was simple once I discovered that the problem was simply that I
needed a new version of the text string every time I printed and couldn't
simply keep using the same one over and over.  The time wasted was lost
trying to figure out what was causing the lines to suddenly become truncated
when previously they had been there.  Which is why I wrote it up so others
need not waste that time if they want to do this.

  • Having a problem printing photos from Iphoto.  Seems that "themes" are required in order to accomplished the task.  Where are the Themes found?

Where can I find the themes, possibly formats, for printing photos for Iphotos?  Are these still being used or have they been upgraded to another program such as ilife?

You'll need to reinstall iPhoto.  If you MBP came with Lion preinstalled move the iPhoto applicaiton to the Trash bin in the Dock, go to the App Store, go to Purchases, download and reinstall iPhoto.

  • I can no longer print photos from iPhoto.

When I try to print photos from iPhoto, I get the error message:  There were no themes located. Until at least one theme has been installed, this feature will be unavailable. The solution offered by iPhoto help is ridiculous as it assumes that you can get past the error message and on to the option to choose a theme. No so.  The error message is the end of the road.  This is a new problem for me.  Apparently there was an automatic update and now I am updated to no longer being able to print my own photos. Apparently (according to traffic on Google) this is not a new issue, but I haven't seen a solution.  Can't deny that I am royally ****** off.

when i try to print a photo: select>file>print a box comes up stating ' no available themes'

  • When printing photos, pictures are missing colors. ( example no blue sky, colors look washed out )

When we print Photos the colors are not clear and the blue is missing in the sky, Pictures look yellow , also sometimes lines appear in Photos. I already ran the cartridge cleaning .

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? It appears you are low on cyan (and/or light cyan depending on your printer model and what cartridges are installed.)

  • HP Deskjet 1050 All-in-One Printer series - J410A not printing photos

    Hi,
It's been months since I tried to fix the photo printing of my printer and until now it's still not fixed.
My problem is that I can't print photos via windows photo viewer. When I hit print, it shows a printer icon on my task bar and it disappears. I am using Windows 7.
Also, if I check on Device Settings tab of my printer properties, the photo tray is missing. See screenshot:
I tried printing using Paint and IE9 and it printed but my problem is that the photos are too dark.
So I have two problems here:
    1) I cannnot print via windows photo gallery and my photo tray is missing.
    2) Printing to other applications like Paint and IE9 produces very dark photos.
This happened after I updated my driver. I tried switching back to my old driver and it printed but the photos are too dark already. When the printer was still new using the old driver, I had no problems with my photos and they look all good. I updated my driver because the time came when I cannot see my ink levels with my old driver. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and the problems still persist.
Please help!! I have wasted a lot of photo paper and ink by trial and error. T^T

If you are having problems with printing photos, see if this document is of any assistance in finding the right settings:
--Print Photos Saved On Your Computer--
I would like to add that I have never seen a photo tray option in the Device Settings of the Printer's Properties.  I checked all of mine and some had the duplex option here but no mention of a photo tray even if the printer had one.  But while you're in that section, you may want to change it from "Letter" to the photo size you are trying to print (4x6, 3x5 etc).
One problem I had with your question regarding the photo tray, I didn't know this printer had a photo tray.  I will post a picture below of this printer and when you reply, let me know where exactly this photo tray is in case I am just not seeing it.
When printing from IE9 or Paint, the images come out dark but what about an image in a Word document? Does that come out too dark as well?  Can you make a copy of a normal photo and it come out dark too?
Answer those questions for me please and I will be happy to help.

  • Printing Photos with AirPrint to Epson Px730Wd produces white edge

    All,
I have just bought a new Epson PX730WD and have a small problem when printing photos via AirPrint.  I always get a 3mm white edge on the right hand side of my photos.  Printing the same photo from Epson iPrint app works fine and it works from my PC as well, but using AirPrint via the native photo app always produces this white edge. Very annoying as I prefer to use the native functions when available, but cannot be doing with this edge.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Chris

I have contacted Epson Support and they told me to try the iPrint app which I did and it worked fine.  So the problem seems to lie somewhere between airprint and the printer recognising what is being sent via airprint.  I can't find an Epson forum where these type of issues are discussed.  I was hoping someone else may have an tried airprint with a PX730wd to see what results they get.

  • IPrint app for iOS fails to print photos in colour

We are running the latest build of the iPrint Appliance (Version: 1.0.1.69 Patch 1) and cannot get the iPrint app for iOS to print photos in colour. I suspect that this is a problem with the internal renderer and JPG files. Printing a PDF, DOC or DOCX file which uses the External windows renderer prints in colour without any issues. Anyone know whether this is a known bug or how I can enable colour printing for a JPG file?
    Thanks
