Printing pictures in Elements 12

Earlier Elements automatically re-sized the second dimension when printing a picture to a custom size. Elements 12 doesn't seem to have this facility - a Calculator is necessary to determine the second dimension to keep the height to width ratio identical.
Have I missed something? How can I print to a custom size without having to resize both the width and height measurements? Can the second dimension be altered automatically as in very early editions of Elements? Having to calculate both is a retrograde step!

You can set that under Image>Resize>Image Size and uncheck Resample Image and enter the Resolution

I have a problem with color prints from photoshop elements 12. The pictures are too light and with strange colors. I have a Canon pixma mg615I0 printer and use mac os X yosemite. The pictures are taken with a coanon eos 550d in the color space sRGB. I have followed adobes recommendations and have tried both letting the printer respektive photoshop manage the colors. But nothing works. I see that there are different opinions about which is best to do so I tried both. I have the latest printer driver installed. Can anyone help me with this?

Do the following:
Print a test page from the printer. Perhaps the print head needs cleaning via its maintenance facility.
Let the printer manage colors, not PSE
Calibrate the monitor

Pictures print dark from Elements 12 on imac27 with Epson R1900

Both my colleague and I cannot print pictures matching screen brightness. I have Elements 12 with new iMac 27 and Epson R1900. He has new PC and Lightroom with Epson R1900 printer.

This is a common problem when the monitor is set too bright. Hardware needs to be calibrated with tools such as X-rite ColorMunki or Spyder Elite. You can then match your monitor to your print profile (combination of printer, paper and ink) to ensure consistent results.

Printing Problems in Elements Editor

I have been usint Photoshop Elements 9 editor the last couple of days just fine to print pictures but just today when I want to print there is an error message that says. Could not complete printing job, or it says printing error 10. I can print out of organizer but I was printing edited pictures out of editor before. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Please specify the image size and the exact settings and paper size you choose.Also attach the screen shot of the print preview shown. Kindly expalin in detail what is the difference between the preview and the actual result you got. Also you could try printing from the Organiser and verify if the problems exists there as well.

When I click on a picture, Photoshop Elements 12 does not automatically open (as it did when I used previous versions Photoshop Elements 4 and 9). I can't even right-click (Windows) on the picture and choose Open With and specifiy Photoshop Elements 12. I have called Adobe several times (Case No. 185140584) and they keep saying it has been sent up to senior management and they will call me back with a solution - but to no avail! No return calls and I still can't really use the Product I paid for and downloaded. The only way I can open up a picture to edit it is to open Photoshop Elements 12 and then then click "Open" and then search for the picture on my hard drive (which takes a lot more time! I did not experience this difficulty at all with versions 4 or 9!

You failed to say which Windows system you have - I can get the "Open With" to work on my Windows 7 64bit system.
When you try to set up the "Open With", are you setting the correct target program?
It's the green one (not the red one) in the above image.
Once you have selected that program, make sure you set it as default so that a double click will open the photo in the editor.

How can I print direct from my camera? This printer does not have any ports for accepting the card from the camera as my old photosmart printer did.

What kind of printer are you using? Most of our newer printers still have memory card readers which would allow you to print pictures directly from the printer. If the printer truly does not have the memory card readers (some of them don't), then you would need to use a computer to transfer the pictures from the memory card before printing them.

I got one off the computer but it printed of regular paper instead of the photo slot even though I chose the photo slot... Sorry you are having trouble. Photos that are less then 100 DPI will be discarded with ePrint. Some Android phones default camera settings are less then 100 DPI. These settings can be changed for future photos taken with the phone in camera settings. (Increase the resolution) I think the HP ePrint Home and Biz App may work well for you. Download from the Android Market. Click here for more information on this free App.

Colors don't match when printing pictures on J4860 all-in-one

When I print pictures, the colors are not true. It doesn't matter what software I use, but usually it's Photoshop CS3. I thought it was my monitor - that I wasn't seeing the true colors in my files. But I've been able to verify that the colors on screen match the subject in the photo. The prints from the HP J4860 do not match the screen images. I currently have new ink, and they are new HP cartridges, not generic or refilled cartridges, but this has been a problem through many ink cartridge replacements.

I don't know if there is much we can do to improve your output. First off, I want confirm you are using an OfficeJet J4680. We don't have a J4860.
Could you post an image that is unsatisfying, and let us know what you dislike? I'm going to involve a color expert here, and he'll look to see if we can do anything.

Since the new library gives you the same message log into another user account on your Mac and see if you can run iPhoto without getting that message. If you get that message there also a reinstall of iPhoto seems indicated. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder,

Printing in Photoshop Elements 10

When printing in Photoshop Elements 10 with 'Centre Image' checked, the printed result is not centred top to bottom, 3.5mm off centre, this causes problems when printing both sides of the sheet 'Tumble-Turn'
The ptinter is a Canon Pixma MG6150. Any Ideas???

Are the graphics for each side cropped to the same size prior to sending to the printer, and is the resolution of each the same value?
Have you tried printing from another application?
Do you have the latest drivers installed for the printer?

Printing pictures via bluetooth to a bluetooth printer that is not online

i was wondering if iphone will be able to send a picture or file to a bluetooth printer that is not online i'm out in the field alot and need to print pictures right there i have a bluetooth printer in my van. my old phone would send via bluetooth and i could give customer the pic at that time instead of having to bring them back to the customer. please advise

I suppose that would depend on the model of the printer, some print companies provide apps for wireless printing to certain models. But if the printer isn't online and you're looking for a BlueTooth only type of connection, it still may be a good idea to check out the app store to see if the makers of your particular printer have written an app making it possible for you to do so.
