Printing pictures thru the Web not clear whe nwe pick them up

Our pictures look great in Iphoto but when we send them to the processor(Blacks or Ophoto) the pictures look like crap. Any thoughts on why?

It sounds like you are uploading the thumbnails from the Data folder. They are too small to print well. Avoid manipulating the photos in your iPhoto library folder via the Finder.
To ensure that you upload your full-sized files, first select them in iPhoto. Do a File>Export>File Export to a folder on your desktop. Then upload from the desktop files, and you can trash the desktop copies when your upload is done.
This method will also ensure that if you have edited a photo, the edited version is the one you are uploading.

  • How to download pictures from the web with their URLs?

How do you download pictures from the Web so that they automatically have their URL addresses in their "Comments" section of the Get Info window? I thought Safari did this automatically, but it's not happening for me.

    Graham--
When you say to open the image in another window, do you mean another Safari window? When I do and right click on the image, I don't get the "Inspect Element" option. I have tried your other suggestion, and that doesn't work either.
    So.... I'm still puzzled...
I am also working in the same version of Safari (4.0.4) but this may be because I have the "Develop" menu (between Bookmarks and Window). If you do not, that will not be available to you. I can tell you how to get this, but as a newer user, this may be (for now) more information than you want.
However, if you do open that image in a new window, the toolbar will display the URL of the image.
As to the other solution, I may not have explained this clearly enough. Let me suggest another route to the same idea. With an image in a web page, drag it to the desktop. When it is on the desktop, highlight the image (click once) and then use the Finder > File menu and the item, Get Info. The large panel that opens will give the URL and this works for any file downloaded from the internet, which makes it a useful security check too.
    All the best.

  • Saving pictures off the web? help!

    Hi,
I just got this new mac book pro so I'm very inexperienced with all the photo options.
I'm trying to save some pictures off of websites, like Facebook in particular, to add to my photo library. However, when I click on a particular picture it will only save it as a web archive and not as a .jpg. I know why it's doing that, but I don't know how to change the extension or highlight the picture and save JUST the picture, not the entire web page. I used to have a windows computer, and I could right click and save as a .jpg. I was wondering if there is any option to save pictures from the web with a mac as a .jpg?'
    Thanks!

Yes, you can right click (Ctrl + Click). OR, you can drag the photo to the iPhoto icon in the dock and it will import it (if you want it in iPhoto; it will make a jpg under username > photos > iPhoto library > year > month > day).

  • I can't copy and paste pictures from the web to my email like I could with Explorer?

With IE you can copy a picture from the web and paste in to an email, with Firefox I have not been able to do this?

In Firefox, right click over the image you want to copy and select "Copy Image".
Go to your email application and then right-click and "Paste".
    This should work.
I notice that you are using an older version of Firefox, so it might be worth upgrading to the newest version Firefox 6.0.2.

  • Can pictures on the web be saved with their original filenames? Thanx.

    Greetings.
Just wanted to know if its possible to save pictures on the web with their ORIGINAL FILENAME while saving to the iPad.
    Thanx for your advice.

What you see in Lightroom - are just previews, that were built before dropping your Passport. All you have are JPEG-compressed previews, your original RAWs died with your external HDD. You can get those previews from Lightroom's preview cache using a tool like LRViewer.
I don't think you can create a web gallery from withing Lightroom. Lightroom will need to have the original master files in order to build a gallery. That's even if you have high quality previews prebuilt. So, again, if you extract the previews with LRViewer, save them as JPEG files and import into a Lightroom catalog instead of your DNGs - you will be able to upload a web gallery.

  • When printing double sided, font is not clear on second side

Hi there, when I print double sided the printing on the back of the first page and the backs of all the pages come out blurred. I can make out the printing but I have to strain to read it.  Is there anything I can do so that when I print double sided, the printing on the back of the page is a clear as it is on the front of the page? This only happens during double sided printing, the printing on the front of the page or if I am printing single sided is clear and readable.

    Hi @anjema
I have truthfully never heard of an issue like this before, but I'd certainly be happy to help. I wonder if the issue has something to do with how the paper is being pulled through the duplexer, perhaps cleaning the rollers might help.
Please use the following document for helpful instructions to clean the rollers; A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays on the HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One Printer Series.  I know the issue is not a 'paper jam', but the steps in Solution 4 are cleaning the rollers
    I hope this helps.

    Hi,
Which Word are you using ? Please try:
    (a) In Word 2007 and 2010, click on Office Button > Word Options > Display > check the boxes for "Print drawings created in Word" and "Print background colors and images" > Advanced > scroll down to the "Show document content" section, check the boxes for "Show background colors and images in Print Layout view" and "Show drawings and text boxes on screen", and uncheck the "Show picture placeholders" box > OK.
    (b) In Word 2003 or earlier, click on Tools > Options > View tab > check the "Drawings" box and uncheck the "Picture placeholders" box > Print tab > check the boxes for "Drawing objects" and "Background colors and images" > OK.
    Regards.

  • Link to query on the web not working. Please help.

    hi gurus,
We have a few queries which can be viewed thru our internal Web page. These are links to the actual queries on the BW BEx PRD server. These links were good sometime back. Now when we click them, we can see the URL blinking, trying to connect. But it doesn't.
Infact, when I try to 'display the query on Web' from the Query Designer, the same thing is happening. But the same queries display on web in QA. We have 3.0B/3.5
I'm not sure what is changed in PRD. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    TIA

  • Bulk Optimize Pictures for the web in Photoshop 8

I have 731 pictures that I need to bulk optimize for a website. Hopefully without doing it one by one. I have no problem processing multiple files and reducing the quality but I wan to do the save for the web option and that isn't avaiable in that process that I know of. Anyone have a suggestion?
    Thanks!!
    Bob

I tried to do it that way but the file size ends up about twice the size than when you do the save for web individually. Not sure why, I'd sure have the smaller files if I can figure out how to do it.

  • Error message in printing anything from the web

I have an HP Pavillion Slimeline; Windows 7; 64 bit, and an HP Deskjet 6540 printer.
No problem until during the last week.
When I attempt to print any web page (including pages that have a "print" button, I get window with HP forum, and when I close that window, a different window appears attempting to save the file in my Documents folder as *.xps
    This is happening consistently.  Help!
    Thank you.

    Hi Prof14,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I understand that when you try to print to your Deskjet 6540, from your web browser that you are not getting the option to print but getting two pop-ups instead.
For Windows 7, this printer only has the basic driver that comes with Windows 7, HP does not have a driver available. Based on that, were any Windows updates installed around the time that this began?  Have you tried to print the same web pages from a different web browser?
While I’m waiting for your response, you could Try the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows.  It may be able to offer some insight into the issue.  The Print and Scan Doctor diagnoses and helps resolve common printing, scanning, and connectivity problems.

  • Printing Report on the Web

    Hi all,
I have a question about printing the report on the web.
I would like to directly print the report once I press the button in the web form. The method I am now using is just hard-code the URL of the report link to the button.
However, I want to print the report directly to the printer once I press the button, but I am not successful.
I have already set the following:
    destype=printer
    destname=HP4050
My printer is on the network where the port is specified by the HP is NPIAB7C2B. Is it related to the link that I need to included?
    Thx first~
    Patrick.

    Hi
Was a solution found for this?
I also want to print a report straight to the users default printer without them having to open Adobe on the web and then selecting File > Print?
The forms version is Forms 10g and running on the report on the report server.
I can thus transfer the report from the report server to the local pc of the user, but I still don’t have a way of printing the PDF file once it is there.
I know about the adobe command line below, but that assumes you know the users verion of Adome and the location of where it is installed.
    AcroRd32.exe "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" /p "c:\temp\test.pdf"
Id there a way to get arounf this?
    Thanks
