Printing Playlists

Hi I am into house music and I cannot work out how to print a playlist so that the title, artist, mix and length of tune is showing. I usually use CD Jewel case insert and I can only usually see either
1.) the title + Artist+ and half the mix
or
2.) the title plus mix and half the artist
How can I make the font smaller so that I can read...
the full title + the full mix + the full artist?
I have also tried using the song listing instead of the CD Jewel Case Insert but this gives the
Name/ Album/ Artist when you click on print preview. If I did it this way how can I get rid of the Album column and just show Name and Artist??

Select your playlist in iTunes. Use the View menu > View Options to select the columns you want to see when you print. (Note if you don't select the album column, you will have to manually arrange the playlist into album order by selecting the track number column and dragging the tracks into the order you want.)
Use the Print command and select "Song Listing" and "Theme - Custom". The custom theme prints the current view of the songs in your playlist. Use Page Setup to control the orientation and to select a scale percentage that doesn't truncate your columns.

Can no longer print playlists

Suddenly, I can no longer print playlists for CD jewelcase inserts. I've been printing these with no problem for months and yesterday for the first time, when I select 'print' from the file menuj I get a message saying, " printing of jobs for this printer is stopped."
The printer is also connected to a PC and prints files sent from the PC just fine.
Can someone tell me how to fix this problem?

I had a similar problem a few months ago.
I can't remember the cause however.
Running the latest OS 10.3.9 Combo-update (I was using OS 10.3.9 at that time) and uninstalling the printer and re-installing it eventually solved it.
Because I did two things at the same time (bad habit), I can't tell you what fixed it.
You might read Troubleshooting printing issues in Mac OS X.
If you have 1 printer I would try resetting the printing system: Mac OS X 10.4: About the Reset Printing System feature
This will remove all installed printers.
Then add your printer again.
You are also using the printer for a PC. Is the printer switched or shared?. If shared, you must solve the problem on the computer to which the printer is connected.
If you still can't solve the problem, I suggest you post a question in the Printing & Faxing forum in the Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger category.
There are knowledgeable people posting there, who know way more about printing problems than I do.

Cannot print playlist AT ALL

Ever since I downloaded the latest version of iTunes (6.0.1), I can no longer print playlists. After I make all the selections (I just want text) and click "print", I now inevitably get a printer error saying there is a problem with the paper supply. (There is no problem with the paper supply.) However, all my other applications still print just fine.
I am using a Brother HL 5040 laser printer, and my previous version of iTunes printed without a hitch.

Try to check from within iTunes that the correct paper tray has been selected as well as the correct paper format.
As a workaround you may save your print as a PDF file instead of direct printing.

Have you looked at the Knowledge Base article [[Firefox prints incorrectly]]? There is some good troubleshooting information in there. I would suggest that you try resetting your print settings.

Printing playlist

I recently updated the hard drive in my laptop. I installed the printer after this
and am unable to print from i tunes. It appears to try but is not "talking" to printer? I see there are ways to have a pdf option but don't see that in my current version of i tunes as an option.

When I print a playlist file in iTunes 7.02, the first 14
lines of a playlist prints then slows then comes to a complete standstill, hanging into eternity..
I'm using an HP all-in-one PSC 1210. It works great with everythinh else. Dont know whats hoig on. No=one
on th iTunes forum knows either.

Anybody having troubles printing playlists with itunes 11?

With itunes 11, when printing playlists, all songs are printing on top of another. anybody else get this?

Yes I cannot print songs from my playlist. This problem has never happened before mind you I went out and purchased a new printer without checking other sites. I can print perfect on any other page except the Jewel Case playlist.

Crashing every time I go to print playlist

Today, I am having two problems with printing playlists when burning a CD.
One, the color is full of streaks.
Two, iTunes crashes when I ask it to print.

Cannot print playlists from Itunes.

Cannot print playlists from Itunes. When I hit print it shows my printer - HP Officejet 6000, E609 but prints a bunch of little black
and gray squares. I can print on all other applications. I have not done this for awhile but it use to work. Thanks for any help.

That looks to be our problem.
I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

Printing playlist cd covers---artwork prints black

I always create playlists in itunes..... but I haven't in a few months. I did upgrade itunes, and then went to print my playlist cd cover.... and the title/artist prints, but the area where all the artwork should be, doesn't print, it's just a big black square. I downloaded the cd cover artwork a million times, but everytime I print, nothing. I see it on screen too, and it doesn't work. What's going on????

Printing of jewel case inserts has been completely screwed up in recent releases of iTunes. Some people can get around it by directing the iTunes print to a PDF or XPS document, and then doing the real print from there.

Printing playlist from Zen Mi

It seemed so simple - print out a hard copy of the songs on my Micro. Problems - it may work with WinAmp, but I upgraded to WinAMP Pro 5.3, and it locks up my machine. I might be able to import it into Excel, but I have an old version of Excel. Somebody suggested Notmad, but I don't see that it will work either. I can print it from Windows Media Player into Notepad,with a freeware program called Playlist copier, but it is in an absolutely horrible format. So, what am I missing? This shouldn't be rocket surgery, as they say in the ad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have never had this problem before. when printing a playlist insert, all printing is running together. A friend told me he is getting the same thing. I recently downloaded the latest itunes version. Is the problem on my end or your end. Thanks for your help.

Print playlist looks okay, print result worthless

When exporting the playlist to PDF everything looks fine.
But when looking at the final print result, all images are there but not a single letter ....

Now you indicate in your post that you do not have any print options. Just to clarify, are you not seeing a Print button in the program that you're printing from? If you are, is your printer just not printing for you?
Have you tried printing from multiple programs?

ITunes Crashes When Trying to Print Playlist

I have iTunes 7.0.2. I am trying to print certain playlists, both Smart and otherwise. Some will print, others will not. Those that will not print cause iTunes to crash when selecting "Print", just before the complete print options dialogue box appears (outline of the box appears but no text in the box). All of my playlists are set up the same with the same number of view options. It makes no difference how many songs are in the playlist. There seems to be no reason for one list to print but not another.
Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Since downloading iTunes 11.0 my playlist won't print out correctly

After you have your Playlist selected, click the name of the Playlist again and wait a second. The name should then highlight and allow you to change it.
