Printing PPT and PPS files - file name is "flash"

Printing a PowerPoint slide of the dashboard using the "print" button - file name is "flash" instead of original file name. I would like the real file name to show up. Thanks.

I am looking TIFF Viewer solution which woul disable any print, save and copy functions for a TIFF file. Thisfunctionality is available for PDF but I need to disable print, copy and save for TIFF files.
Would anyone know a TIFF viewer or solution that supports the following functions:
1)      TIFF viewer where we can turn off any options to print the TIFF file or save it to disk. That would include disabling any options where the user could right click on the TIFF and save the file somewhere else.
2)      It would need to be able to open multi-page TIFFs.
3)      It would be nice if the TIFF viewer could be run on both Mac and Windows platforms.
I need to send files to users for view only, and these should be in TIFF fomat, not converted into a PDF.

The same answer applies to any kind of file.
You need a Digital Rights Management solution. Very expensive.

Problems printing labels and envelopes with related names

When I try and print out labels for Christmas cards from Address Book, the program creates the first line of the label with the name on the Address Book "card", plus the names of the "Related Name" entries on the card. This works for most cards except in the following situation.
The Related Name field (Spouse, Child, etc.) does a 'fuzzy lookup' to match other cards in the Address Book database. If there is another card with the same name as one of the related names, the address is checked to see if the address matches. If it matches (or if there is no card that matches the related name), Address Book will include the related name on address labels. (Address information is required for this test since Address Book will not print a label for a card that does not have and address.) This was the source of my first problem as I had a card for a related name that had an old address on it, so Address Book chose not to print that related name on the labels as they did not live at the same address. I agree with this logic.
The real problem is revealed when you add a related name to a card in which the first name of the related name matches the first name of another card which is NOT the same person. So I have a card for "John Hart", and on that card I have two relate names, a Spouse of "Nancy Hart" and a Child of "Eric Hart". I also have a card for "Nancy Hart" with a Spouse of "John Hart" and a child of "Eric Hart" and the address matches that on the card of "John Hart". If I print a label for "John Hart", Address Book properly prints "John, Nancy and Eric Hart". Now if I add a card for "Eric Smith" and either have a different address or no address at all on that card, when I print a label for "John Hart" Address Book will print "John and Nancy Hart", effectively losing the child. I can only think that Apple made the search for related cards TOO FUZZY and forgot to include the last name in the search.
Apple... are you out there? Please help!!!
PS: My full database has many records that are incurring this problem, and it's annoying.

After going through 3 2nd level support personnel, I finally reached one who cared enough to actually type in what I asked him to, and then to research the findings.
As I pointed out above, Address Book compares the related names with the other cards in the database. If there is no card for the specific related name, Address Book will stop at a record with a matching first name and then compare addresses. If the addresses do not match, it will not print the related name. The support rep stated that hopefully in future version this might be refined.
AS A WORKAROUND, he suggested I create cards for any of the related names on my cards. Once this is done, and the cards have matching addresses, all of the related names on the selected card for label or envelope printing are printed.

Network printer not printing pdf and ms office files

we have a printer HP P3015 on network proper configuarded and printing from 6 pcs (office, pdf and all other documents)
ony 3 pcs problem that won`t printing from world, excel, and pdf. and printing from not pad and from web properly.
and when we install new windows and all softwares they print properly after some printing problem reapear.

PDF can display chinese, MS Word cannot display chinese.

I have a printer on this list (HP Photosmart 375) connected via USB. When I attempt to add the printer, it shows up in Bonjour but no driver is located nor can it be manually selected using the Print Using menu. I've had no luck with the latest package from the HP site either.

Sorry- your post is confusing. Is the lost driver you refer to at the end of your post the original driver that came with your OS? If so, have you looked in Computer>System>Library>Printers to see if it is still there? Did you actually try installing the driver you downloaded from HP, or just downloaded it? Did you delete the driver that originally worked? The original driver should still be on your OS DVD/CD disc if that is where you got it- you could try an archive and install of the whole system (a bit drastic) or use a utility like Pacifist to "grab" all of the drivers from your OS disc and then reinstall them.

SAPScript: export print form and import with different name?

I need to export print form from one system and import it with different name to other system.
For this I run RSTXSCRP but the problem is that when I spefify different name for a form while importing, it gives an error...
I tried to edit exported file before importing changing form name inside a file, but this not helped...
Any ideas?

Printing to a PDF - want to name the PDF File

I am successfully printing a document to a PDF file. I am using the ,u argument in the Print Agent and I know this causes the pdf document to get a generic filename. How can I get the pdf filename to be a meaningful name such as the PO number? In other words, if I am printing Purchase order 12345, how can I get the pdf to be named 12345.pdf rather that the generic name of jf3897a.pdf
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I know of no way to do exactly what you are wanting without writing a custom agent (that is what we did to accomplish the same thing). The custom agent extracts the desired data value(s), building the name we want. It then causes Central to store it as a user variable via the
b jetform.rsp
file. See:
i Returning Status and Parameters to Central
in the Adobe Central Output Server - Working with Central manual. (It is probably named differently for your older version of Central - I'm using 5.6 .) The variable name is then used as the specified file name instead of using the
b ,u
parameter.
Our output parameter looks like:
b -z"c:\OutSource FTP\01-115\@user1.".pdf
where
i @user1.
is the reference to the variable for the actual file name that the custom agent caused to be stored.
If you are unable to create a custom agent but if the data source is also building the ^job line then you could have it use an unused option to pass the value to Central and then use a variable reference to it for passing on the file name. For example, we use the
b -aji
option (job ID) to pass on a data value to be used as the control file name for the Transformation Agent. It is referenced using the
i @JobID.
variable, like:
b "C:\JetForm\Forms\Data Transformation\TDF Files\@JobID..tdf"

Capture href onclick and log the file name to the database table

I need somehelp with JSP, JavaScript and Java. When a link to a .wav file is clicked, it need to play the file by calling playSound(); function of Windows Media Player, and then capture the name of the file and call a java function to send the information to mySQL database where it will be logged in the file name will be recorded in a table. I am having rough time for being able to call the java function from the jsp function. I am aware that the jsp variable, in this case the file name that was clicked, can not be called in Java but I do not know any other way to do it.

I have made a few changes to the code now. Here is my latest code. I still need some help with onClick event. It does not work as intended.

The program appears to be executing the first part of the onClick, mymes.logfilePlayed(strUser, strPassword2, strFileName) as soon as the page is loaded because I can see the all of the records added to the database even before any of the href is clicked.
onclick should execute calling of the functions logFilePlayed and playsound when the click event occurs.

Here is how it was solved:
1) A hidden text box was created for each of the href using the following html script:
     <input type='hidden' name='<%out.print(fileViewed);%>' style="display:" value="" id='<%out.print(intNumber);%>' />
the name was like an array. So the fields were named: fileViewed1, fileView2, fileView3.... and so on.
2) Here is the onClick event for the href field:

PL45 Print preview and PDF file with SN

Hi, we upgraded to PL45 and everything is working well other than one issue. The issue is with print preview and converting to pdf files when item list with SN is involved in a form (e.g. Delivery and Invoice). SBO will crash with file dump.
Is there anyone having similar issue? If so, how was the issue was resolved?
If anyone is at PL45 could you let me know the names of the documents when printing "Delivery" form with items tracked by serial numbers? I suspect it is this document that's giving us problem.

In case SAP Business One application is shutting down unexpectedly, you should follow these instructions:
Go to SAP Business One application folder:
Right click on the shortcut for SAP Business One which is located on your desktop.
Press 'Properties' button.
Press the 'Find Target' button on the bottom left of the window, SAP Business One application folder will open.
Open the Log folder, which now should contain 2 files that hold the data about the cause for the shutdown. The first file name is: SAP Business One YYYY MM DD HH MM SS.DMP. The second file name is: SAP Business One YYYY MM DD HH MM SS_dyagnostic.TXT.
Open a message to your support center and attach the 2 files and to the message. You need to pack the file *.dmp using a tool like Winrar, because you will not be able to attach *.dmp files directly. In the message content describe the actions that were taken. (please refer to the StepTemplate.xsl in the attachments).

Problem in seeing the .xls and .pps file content

i have uploaded files to my server using jsp and i am giving the link to see the uploaded files to user
it is working fine for .doc,.jpg ,.html ,.txt ,.ppt files
but not for .xls and .pps files
thought when on save traget as.... (on user's computer )it is working
but on simple left click on the link (of .xls file)
the bytecode data is opened in the browser window

check that your 0fiscper in cube is mapped to 0fiscper from communication structure in update rules.

Downloading ppt and xls files

I am a new mac user and absolutely LOVE it. However, as I am learning i am having a problem with downloads sent to me in emails. I have a Mac OS X Version 10.5.6. The files will download and I can even go to my Finder and see the file, but I am not able to open it or print it. What can I do to view these files?

Did you try to open teh fle by double-clicking its icon? If the file was made with an older version of Office, you may get that message. Try opeing PP and, from its "File" menu, see if you can open the ppt. I've foundthat often gets around that message and then yo ucan save the file from the newer version.

PowerPoint is not an Apple product and it seems a lot of people around here avoid Office.

Move the printer and the computer closer to the router, but no closer than 6 ft (1.8 m). Wireless signals can be weaker at greater distances between the printer and the router.
If you are experiencing an intermittent wireless connection, try restarting your router. Consult your router manufacturer, Internet service provider, or network administrator for instructions on how to restart the router.
Remove any metal objects between the printer, the computer, and the router. Objects such as refrigerators, microwaves, or metal bookcases can interfere with wireless transmission.
Move any device that emits radio signals, such as microwaves and cordless telephones, farther away from the printer. Such devices can interfere with wireless signals.
