Printing problem HP Photosmart B210a

Hello,
I have a major problem with my brand new HP printer. Hopefully someone will help me out. I have installed my new printer and I am unable to print wirelessly. I have done all possible resets, my Mac is updated I have latest drivers from HP. Whenever I install printer it works about 5 minutes, then it goes offline and my mac is unable to locate printer. However as a IP printer it works OK. I have router TP link. Anybody can let me know what to do ?

Maybe someone as desperate as I was can benefit from my story:
Printing from the iPad to the B210a printer worked only a few times and after that I couldn't get it to work anymore.
I did everything I though could help like:
- reset the modem/router
- switched printer, router, iPad off and on
- removed the usb connection to the printer and even removed the usb printer from my PC
- switched the radio off and on
The printer worked fine from the PC but all this work had no effect on getting the iPad to print until.......
I ran the wireless setup wizard on the B210a printer again.
Nothing in the visible settings in the router seems to be changed but now it works again.

Serious printing problem - HP Photosmart 7350 / Mac OS 10.6.6

Hello to all helpers!
Recently, I encountered a serious problem with my printer, an HP Photosmart 7350. This printer has always worked with my setup over an Airport Express network. However, it suddenly stopped working mid-job last weekend after updating to Mac OS 10.6.6, and I have not found any solutions. The printer has power, plenty of ink and paper, and appears to be connected to the computer, but when a job is sent to it, it tries to initiate printing but it doesn't, and after a few minutes the printer queue pauses itself. The printer will print a test page from itself, but it will not print one sent from the computer.
I've tried many conventional solutions, including:
-deleting the original job and resending it to the printer
-restarting the printer
-restarting the computer
-unplugging the USB cable and power cable and plugging them back in
-replacing the USB cable with a different one
-connecting the printer directly to the computer instead of the Airport Express
-removing and reinstalling the printer driver (Gutenprint 5.2.3)
-repairing disk permissions
-resetting the print system and reinstalling the printer driver
I am completely confused about what happened, but I'm guessing it is an incompatibility issue related to the OS update. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

So I have tried the foregoing suggestions and reinstalled with Gutenprint 5.2.6, but I still have the same errors popping up in console, suggesting incompatibility.
Is there any hope for this printer anymore or am I going to Office Depot later today?

Printing Problem HP PhotoSmart 7960

Love my printer but recently it is not printing everything. I have missing text. Example: First line of a paragraph prints, skips next 4 or 5 lines, then prints a line, skips a line, prints a line, etc., and missing some letters throughout (mostly the letter 'l' (L)). Problem seems to be with text; graphics are ok. What prints looks excellent. Any ideas what could cause this? I've tried everything, including updating drivers, etc. Help is appreciated!

* Reinstalled HPIJS
* Installed ESP Ghostscript
First directly connected to the printer, as soon as I got this working, I disconnected it and connected to the WinXP machine again.
I added a printer on the following way:
* Printer Utility -> Add printer
* OPTION + More printers
* Select Advanced -> Windows-printer through SAMBA
* Device URL as: smb://username:password@WORKGROUP/XPMACHINE/PRINTER
* Select the Foomatic driver of the HP PhotoSmart 7345
Extra information:
Device URL:
- username & password: your account on the XP machine
- workgroup: workgroup where the XP machine is findable
- xpmachine: networkname of the XP machine
- printer: networkname of the printer
NOTE: username & password are case-sensitive and the rest should be capitals

Printing problem (HP PhotoSmart 7345)

Another happy switcher over here, since about one week I have my brand new PowerBook G4. Now I have only one problem left, I have still a WinXP Home desktop pc with a HP PhotoSmart 7345 connected through USB. I always used it as a shared printer so I could print all through the house to this printer. But now I moved to Mac OS X, I can't setup this printer using Windows Printing. This model seems not to be supported by Mac OS X Windows Printing. Which printermodel can I use, I already tried the DeskJet 955C, I could print, but the proces took like 2min for one bw document.
Anybody who has a solution?

Printing problem with Photosmart 5514!!

I have a Photosmart 5514 and have just started using it, and I've probably done something wrong as a beginner and I need help to fix the problem.
How do I delete a print jobs waiting to be executed? I do not know why there is a print job in the queue and when I put in the paper, nothing happens.

Printing problems with Photosmart D110a

My Photosmart D110a (operating system Vista) prints half a page when printing a document from a web page. If I am printing more than one page , it will print about 1/4 of the final page. Seems to have problems with PDF files.

Did you ever get this figured out? I'm having the same problem with the same printer.

Wireless Printing Problems - HP Photosmart Premium Web C309n

I hoping someone can help me with some printing issues I am currently having with my C309n.
When trying to print via my web browser (Firefox 3.5.7), the printer stalls while trying to respond, and when it does begin to print, it moves incredibly slow. I had the same problem when I first set up the machine when trying to print photos, but that issue seems to have resolved itself (I did nothing in particular; one day it just worked). I have no problem printing from programs such as Word, PowerPoint, etc.
The web printing issue still remains and I was hoping that someone could confirm that I have used the optimal wireless/set up settings before I start changing things in an attempt to solve my current problem. Also, of course, if anyone is aware of a quick fix for my printing issue, I would appreciate it.

I'm also having slow print issues on the HP Photosmart Prem-Web C309n-s.
The issue happens in multiple applications, such as printing a photo from HP Photosmart Essentials 3.5, printing an email from Internet Explorer 8, etc. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit with Service Pack 2.
Also, noteable is that it happens on 2 PCs. Same model purchased at the same time. The issue seems intermittant and it seems to affect my wife's PC more than mine. It may just be that she prints more???
I did not think it was a networking issue, but both my PC and printer are wireless. I will direct my PC and see if the issue goes away.
My wife prints all her own photos and scrapbooks. She is extremely frustrated and wants it out of the house. I'm going to contact HP Support tonight. If they cannot fix it in a reasonable time, I'm going to try and return it.
It also seems to rip through XL ink cartridges faster than any HP printer we have had.

Hello, I'm trying to print invitations on my Photosmart C4180. I have a custom size of 6.25" by 6.25". The directions on the invitations say I should manually feed the paper. I can't find out how to do that. Do you have any suggestions? thank you very much!

Blasted printer problems - HP Photosmart C6180 All-in-One

Bought a spanking new HP Photosmart C6180 All-in-One and installed the drivers. When running the HP Setup Assistant it had a blank list to select from.
I came across this tip from macosxhints.com
"If your system drive was set up with a case-sensitive HFS file system, HP's All-in-One installer will fail when it gets to the HP Setup Assistant -- it will ask you to "Select Device" and give you an empty list. To get the installer to work, you have to install it on a case-insensitive file system. I've confirmed this with version 7.9.1 of the PhotoSmart C6100 series and version 7.9 of the Officejet 7310 series drivers.
The solution? The only one I've found is to re-format and install on a file system that is not case sensitive. After hearing back from HP's tech support, they confirmed the problem and the solution:
Thank you for contacting HP Total Care.
The software for the Photosmart C6180 is not supported on a case sensitive partition. You will have to install the drivers on a case-insensitive partition.

Printing problems for photosmart 7520

I do not have my printer set up as wireless, because I do not have the equipment (router or modem or whatever it might be called) It is plugged into the back of my tower. I assume that means it is not set up as wireless. I only have one computer, no laptops or anything else.
I am not computer literate, I read several other questions and couldn't quite find my exact problem. I have no idea how to find an IP address either.
The printer used to work fine. The blue light always flashed - I assume because I don't have the wireless equipment
the power button next to that is a white color, doesn't change when I press it or when I unplug the cord from the tower.
UNABLE TO COMUNICATE OR FIND NETWORK PRINTER is the message I get. Can you have a network printer with only 1 computer in the house?
The touch screen is black and does not come on.
Windows 7 64 bit operating system
Not sure exactly what this is off back of printer: FPU CZ045-64004
I tried to install updated software, it didn't make any difference.
I installed the HP doctor thing - would not print test page, think I had to choose network or wireless and I don't think either of those apply.
The only thing that I think might have something to do with my problem is I installed a free AVG PC Tune up.
Any help would be appreciated. I am losing my patience, been at this for 4 hours now.

I understand that you are having an issue printing with you 7520. I would like to assist with this issue but I do need to clarify a couple of things first so that we are able to narrow down the issue.
First is the printer plugged directly to a wall outlet? If not please plug the printer direct to the wall outlet, so that the printer is getting the right amount of power to work properly.
Second the touch screen on the printer is this black or are you able to see the different icons when the printer is turned on?
Third to test the functionality of the printer, could please print a self test report from the printer itself. I have included a document Printing a Self Test From the 7520
Please let me know the answer to these questions. Thank you.

Printing Problem- HP Photosmart C5180

I have a 6 page MICROSOFT WORD document, consisting of 12 small color photos per page (arrayed 3 X 4) with one line captions (black) under each photo.
I have tried several times to print the document, but each time one or more of the photos does not print. All of the captions do print. I have managed to finally print 2 of the pages, but the other 4 have not yet printed correctly.
I have tried printing a single page at a time. I still get incomplete pages.
I have closed several of my running programs- no change.
I have deleted 5 of the 6 pages of the document and tried printing from a 1 page document- no change.
I have checked ink levels and all are more than adequate.
I am using a Dell; Windows VISTA w/service pack 2; 3 GB RAM, 2.4 GHZ Intel processor. My printer is hardwired to the computer, no switches between computer or printer, and no sharing over a network.
HELP, PLEASE.

I'm going to guess these bank statements are PDF files. There are two things you can do:
Wait until Friday, and update to Firefox 29.0.1 which fixes this issue [[Update Firefox to the latest version]]. I recommend this if you can wait two days to print these statements
If you can't wait, [[How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer]] can help you change your PDF viewer to one that can print.

Printing problem for Photosmart 2570 series

trying to print off wedding invitations and I've tried to find the right paper size I cant find it, on the box it says to use 5.5" wide x 8.5" high. I really need help cause it coming out cockid or pulled over too far.

HP Photosmart B210a will not print black ink on plain paper... only on photo paper.

Hi, I have an HP Photosmart B210a that wont print black ink. I have used a whole set of ink cartridges by cleaning the print heads, allignment etc. I just installed ALL NEW cartridges and the sae thing is ocurring. I have replaced plenty of cartridges and am experienced. Just all of a sudden one day the printer stopped printing black ink on plain paper documents like with MS Word, excel and PDF, etc. It's not set to greyscale either, actually it wont even print grey! However, if I go to a photo with plenty of black in it, it will print it JUST FINE!!! I'm at my wits end! I have followed EVERY head cleaning advice in the forums but it will not print black in except on photos... Please help!!!!

The document here may help, although you have likley already done most of the steps. Be sure to check the vents. If the above does not resolve black not printing on your Photosmart b210a the post here may help.
The black cartridge uses pigmented ink which is not compatible with photo paper. Although the printer appears to be printing black properly on photo paper it is actually using color mixed together to produce black in this case.

No printer found message when trying to connect to HP Photosmart B210a

Every time I try to print from my iPad2 to HP Photosmart B210a air printer I get the message 'no air printer found'. My iMac does connect to the printer wirelessly each time. If I disable wireless anthem re-enable the wireless network on the printer, the printer can be found for that job only. Next time we are back where we started. I have checked and there are no upgrades needed for the printer. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Yes I have the printer set up as the network printer. The connection works from time to time, and I can force a connection by dies enabling and then re-enabling the wireless connection on the printer. It is just annoying as I have to go to the printer to do that and the whole idea of an air printer!

Printing problem on HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One

Hi,
I'm trying to print a single page calendar but it's coming out with streaks in 3 places. I tried 3x and the streaks are always in the same place. I'm using Konica Inkjet Paper QP Premium Photo Glossy, which is supposed to be suitable for all modern inkjet printers. Is this an ink problem, a printer problem or a paper problem?

My guess would be a print settings issue. I would suggest setting the media type to Photo paper rather than automatic and set the quality to "Best".
If that does not help please provide more details - are the streaks at a consistent spacing? Where are they on the page? What color are the streaks?
