Printing Problems using Internet Explorer

Here is my problem.
I created a website using iweb. Within this website I set up a page for my visitors to be able to print off. However when using Internet Explorer all that appears when you try to print is a black box. I have a feeling this is because I used a text box to enter in my text. How do I solve this problem.
Here is my site so that you can see the my dilemma. Go to the order form and try printing in Internet explorer and it will print off a black box instead of the text. www.kansasfood4life.org

Printing pages through Internet Explorer won't work. Something about style sheet dependencies...I don't really understand...just know it doesn't work. The best way to approach the problem would probably be to make your order form a PDF file and have your visitors download it. If you want people to be able to "see" the order form, you could just drag in the PDF to iWeb and resize it to your purposes. Then set a hyperlink to the PDF file for download when someone clicks on the order form image. Of course, it would be helpful to also put a little note somewhere on the page like "Click on the order form to download a copy to your computer for printing." The downside to all of this for your visitors is that they will need to go to another application (i.e. away from your site) to print the PDF. Anyways, it's a workable solution. Hope it helps.

  • When I print an email using firefox as my browser the print if very, very tiny. No problem using Internet Explorer. This happens with both my Gmail and my AOL emails.

My emails are printing in very tiny type (unreadable). This happens in both my Gmail and AOL email accounts. When I use internet explorer it doesn't happen. I have researched the answers online and it seems that if I go to Firefox>file>page setup>scale and set it to 100% it may fix the problem. However, I cannot figure out how to take the first step. Where can I find "file"????
Sorry to be such a dummy.

    1. orange Firefox button in the upper-left corner - then click on Print - then click on Page Setup
    2. if that orange Firefox button isn't showing and the Menu bar is - click to open File - then click to open Page Setup

  • I can copy a URL, but cannot paste it in the body of an e-mail. Also doen't hypelink it. I do not have this problem using Internet Explorer..

When I copy a URL and go to paste it in an e-mail, it won't paste. Some other box opens. I can paste the URL in the subject line, but doesn't hyperlink it. (blue) When using Internet Explorer, I don't have this problem. I'm new to FF with a new computer.

Did you try to use the keyboard to paste?
    * Copy: Ctrl+C or Ctrl+Insert
    * Paste: Ctrl+V or Shift+Insert
    * Cut: Ctrl+X or Shift+Delete
Just above the textarea that you use to enter the message text on the "Compose New Mail page" there is usually a button bar with buttons to add text formatting like Bold and Italic.<br />
That toolbar may also have a button to turn a text link into a clickable hyperlink (look for a chain like button).<br />
You can select the text and click that button to turn the link into a clickable hyperlink.<br />
If you can't find the button then hover them all to check the tooltip of each (e.g. Insert hyperlink).<br />

  • When I open a document in Firefox with Adobe Reader 9, I am unable to print it (no problem when using Internet Explorer)

I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit), using Firefox 8.0. When I open a document with Adobe Reader 9, I am unable to do anything with it (print, save, etc.) other than view it. When I use Internet Explorer I don't have this problem.

Not sure what you mean by truncated troubleshooting report, but here's what I copied from "troubleshooting" under "help". My printer is selected as the default printer in Devices and Printers. Also, remember that a document that won't print in Firefox prints fine in Internet Explorer.

  • Firefox only prints out a portion of my billing statement, but it prints correctly in Internet Explorer. How do I format or change settings in Firefox to correct this problem?

My Account Activity page for my checking account has an eight column listing ie: date, type, description, debit, credit, balance, etc.
Only the first five columns print out regardless of how much I scale the printing size down. It prints out fully and correctly when I use Internet Explorer browser to view the bank website.

I've encountered a similar problem with HTML email sent from Outlook once before. I had to manually edit the HTML file and then display it in my browser and it printed fine. I don't recall the exact problem, but it had something to do with malformed HTML tags. Whatever they used to generate the HTML document, it was putting in bad tags at the ends of lines (like to force a line wrap) and when printed, this would instead function as a cutoff of the right side of the text. (the HTML parser in FF - in my case Thunderbird, would simply ignore everything after these bad tags, as it probably should)
If you don't know about HTML find someone who does that you trust to look at the document and manually edit it for you. Someone familiar with basic HTML should be able to spot and fix the problem in about 5 minutes. Short of that, see if your bank can send them via email in PDF instead, but regardless be sure to inform them their documents are not created properly. The problem is most likely on their end, not yours, and not with FF.
    EDIT-------------
    Just remembered something.
There are two add-ons you might be interested in:
IETab - it uses the Trident web engine to display the web page. (what IE uses) It should essentially work just like IE, but from within FF.
User Agent Switcher - I use this more frequently as all it does is tell the webserver that I am using IE and not FF. (even though I am using FF) and voila! I get the page delivered correctly with all intended functionality. (Odd, I know - chalk it up to lazy and ignorant web developers)
Both may be of use to you, the second is more secure, and either should be a work around to solve your problem that won't involve editing or knowing HTML.

  • Cannot print from website. I go to TD ameritrade and ask to print and old statement and nothing happens, if I use Internet Explorer it works

I go to TD Ameritrade web page open my account. I cannot print my statement from my account. nothing happens. If I use Internet Explorer it works fine.
I have the same problem printing from the IRS website.

    Hello @dimsum1234,
    Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that you are having a problem with printing to a printer over the cloud.
    I would like to help.
Have you tried setting a manual DNS for the printer that is not receiving the print jobs?
I have found that the Level3 DNS address works best with laserjets.
    Primary DNS Server 209.244.0.3
    Secondary DNS Server 209.244.0.4
Another option is to remove that printers Web Services.
This will cause the printer to permanently loose its ePrint address.
When you enable the ePrint feature again, you will get a new address/claim code.
Then you can add the printer onto your HP Connected account, and Google's Cloud Print.

  • Using 3.6.12, when I enter a bid on eBay, FF immediately signs off eBay. Never had that problem with earlier versions. I do not have this problem with Internet Explorer.

Using FF 3.6.12, I can log onto eBay, view my account, rate a purchase or win, and search for items. In other words, pretty much do anything normally on eBay.
But if I try to enter a bid on an item, the program exits eBay.com and I get the "You've Signed Off. See You Again Soon!" screen. This happens every time I try to enter or re-enter a bid.
I've been using Firefox for a few years to bid on eBay without any problems. This started as soon as I upgraded to 3.6.12 a month or so ago. Any suggestions?
I've been forced to use Internet Explorer just to get on eBay and bid now. Not nearly as fast and elegant as Firefox. Help!

To re-install Lightroom 5.4, there's no need to go back to the original full version and systematically re-install every upgrade you've ever purchased in order to re-install the latest version. All you need to do is re-install your most recent version (in this case 5.4), enter your Lightroom 5 serial number then enter your Lightroom 4 serial number when prompted. That's it.
How did you first license the Lightroom 5 upgrade on your computer? Since it's not a subscription version, you must have received a version 5 serial number somewhere in the purchasing process. Without a record of that, Adobe Customer Care may struggle with your case.
If you're running Windows, you can try running the free Belarc Advisor which often successfully retrieves your full serial number from inside your computer.

  • Printing from websites using Internet Explorer

I use Internet Explorer and have an HP Photosmart 7350 printer.  Whenever I print a page from a website, the print is extremely small.  Is there a solution to this other than to copy and paste the page to Word and adjust the font there?

That's a bug in the Adobe installer which seems to think IE10 is IE1.
Either put IE10 into IE9 or lower mode using Compatibility View.
    http://techathlon.com/internet-explorer-10-run-compatibility-mode/
Or simply use a different browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox.
