Printing problems with Adobe SC3 on iMac 27"

I have a printing problem: When I want to print something from any of Adobe CS3 applications they suddenly crushes. I work on new iMac 27” (Intel Core i5, 3,2 GHz, OS X 10.9.2). Adobe CS3 worked correctly on my previous Mac G5.

Default printer problems with adobe 10.1.2

I was having problems printing PDFs since upgrading to 10.1.2. After reading and trying many recommendations, I happened to notice that my default printer(I have only one printer) was listed twice on the print window. The first (default) printer is spelled "HP PSC 2350 series" (upper case 'PSC') The second is "HP psc 2350 series" (lower case 'psc') . The printer is named 'HP psc 2350 series' in my printers and devices, and if I select this printer, the page will print perfectly. Now that I have solved my printing issue, I would like to change the default setting on the adobe print window to come up as the active link, so I don't have to continue to select a different printer everytime I wish to print a document. The printer by the lower case "psc" name is set as the default printer in printers and devices, and I cannot figure out why it doesn't come up as the default printer on the adobe reader print window. I also cannot figure out how to change the default in the print window.   An added interesting fact is that I get no response in the print window when I try to select "preferences' or 'advanced' for the upper case 'PSC' printer.
My computer runs in Windows 7 (64-bit). The printer is HP psc 2355xi all-in-one. Any suggestions are much appreciated

I have not been able to select a different default printer for Adobe, but I can print if I manually select the correct link everytime.

I am having the same issue.The correct printer is selected as the default printer on the control panel and there is no driver with the lowercase convention.However, the first printer option that appears is the lowercase convention. Is there any way to select a default printer for specifically for Adobe, as opossed to the PC itself?

Printing problems with Adobe CS5

Hello all, I recently replaced the printers in one of our university Art Dept labs; they are using iMacs running Mac OS X 10.6.8 with Adobe CS5. They had three Ricoh CL4000DN color laser printers. They bought 3 Ricoh C320DN color laser printers to replace them.
Now, pictures that previously printed fine on the old printers look bad (color and black both incorrect) when printed with Photoshop and other CS5 programs on the new printers - especially when compared with the onscreen picture and the same picture printed with the old printer.
However, to make things even more interesting, these pictures print fine using the Preview program that came with the computers.
I've experimented with different color profiles, printer settings, updated the Adobe programs - so far with no success.
Temporarily, they are printing the needed pictures, etc. with the Preview program until we can find what's causing this issue. They are about ready to have me re-install the old printers.
I've already contacted Ricoh and their response was, well since it's printing okay via the preview program, not our problem...
Any ideas on what to check, change, upgrade next?

I would contact Ricoh, the suppliers of the printers, and query about the drivers, making sure that you are using the latest PostScript drivers for this printer.
I did lookup this printer on Ricoh's website. Apparently unlike your older printers that used Adobe PostScript 3, these low-cost C320DN printers do not use Adobe PostScript 3, but rather a third party “emulation of PostScript 3.” That could be your problem – a poor PostScript implementation in the printer.

Printing problems with adobe 9

I have a problem with printing in adobe 9, When a pdf is sent to the printer it only prints 1 page, so if I try to print a 6 page pdf file it will only print page 1. Also if I try to print double sided it only prints single sided, It's like it only recognises the first page of the pdf. I have uninstalled adobe 9 and reinstalled adobe 8 which works fine. I need to have 9 installed and working. The printer I am trying to print to is Utax Colour CDC 1520 printer. Any help would be appreciated.

A client of my employers has been repeatedly encountered one of these problems when printing from Adobe Reader 9, where the "ERROR: undefined"and "OFFENDING COMMAND:" messages are displayed near the top of one of the pages in the print output. This has only been detected recently, and definitely did not happen 6-8 months ago when they installed the software, which uses Adobe InDesign Server, to generate the PDF's.
They encountered it first when printing a specific PDF document from Adobe Reader 9.0.0 to a Canon IRC4080I. It also occurred after upgrading to Adobe Reader 9.1.0. To rule out a possible problem with the document, they retrieved some PDF's that were made in January of this year, which must have been able to be printed out at that point in time, and tried to print them from Adobe Reader 9.0.0 using the Canon printer. The same error occurred.
In order to narrow down the problem, they tested printing the same document with Adobe Reader 8 (not sure which minor version) on Windows XP, printing on the same Canon printer and it worked successfully.
They then upgraded that machine's Reader to 9.0.0 and found that the error occurred when printing the same document from that machine then. They also tried with version 9.1.0 and this did not rectify the problem. However, after reading the KnowledgeBase advice at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403914.html I suggested that they try printing the same document on a different model of printer (an HP printer, not sure which model) and it printed successfully.
Further evidence suggesting a print driver problem was provided by the fact that we cannot reproduce it in the office where I work on either of our two types of printer, which are Epson Stylus Photo R200 and Samsung ML-1200: printing the same document in Adobe Reader v.8.1.3 and 9.1.0 on Windows Vista and 9.1.0 on Windows XP to those printers has not produced the error message.
Although I have been liaising with our client's IT support and recommending some of the configuration solutions that have been posted in this thread, my concern is that our client sends out PDF-format documents for advertising purposes to their clients, and that it is not acceptable to them to accompany the PDF with detailed instructions on how to configure drivers to make it print - the end client may simply not bother.
If Adobe are reading this, I wonder whether they could let us know whether they are developing a compatibility fix to Reader, or whether this problem is better raised with the printer manufacturers, in this case Canon, to encourage them to make their drivers compatible?

I have used Adobe Acrobat 7.0.5 SDK (VB.Net with VS 2005) with Windows 2003/XP and printing works fine. I am trying to make printing
work on a laptop with Windows 7/Office 2010/Adobe Acrobat 9.3. I am using SDK , VB.Net (.Net Framework 2.0 with VStudio 2008).
I have added a network printer on the laptop. From the code I set the default printer and then try to print a PDF with the default printer.
The function returns true, doesn;t throw any error but it actually doesn't go to printer. I have tried many ways to print a PDF even from Local Hard disk.
But no luck. Below is the code. Any ideas please.....

But WHen I tried again changing the parameters as below: trying to print a few pages
l_oCAcroPDDocPrint.PrintPagesSilent(0, 2, 0, 0, 0) - 0 first page and 2 last page. It works fine.
In 7.0 I used -1 in place of last page and it printed all pages of that particular PDF.
I did not find about printing all of these pages from Acrobat 9.0 API. Can you please let me know?

Printing Problems with Adobe Pro 9.5.5

I have started having a problem printing PDF files from adobe pro 9.5.5. Now every time I try to print to any of my printers, adobe opens the standard print dialog window, but instead of printing to the printer, it wants to write a *.pm file as if I have asked to print to file. When the problem started I was at version 9.4.4. I have since updated to version 9.5.5 without any correction to the printer problem. I have adobe reader version 11 and I can print the file from it without a problem. What gives?

I assume that in both cases you are talking about Reader and not Acrobat. This is the Acrobat forum. The link to the Reader forum is at the top of this forum. There is no program called Adobe, only the company name.
If I had a clue, I would make a suggestion, but I don't. It may be something that Reader users have run into. A few here have AA9 and might respond if they have had problems, but I have not heard of any such problems.

Printing problems with Adobe Reader 11.0.08

When I try to print a document, after having selected a printer, everything looks fine, however nothing is printed.
There is no error message, the printing simply goes to nowhere.
With other programs, e.g. word there is no printing problem.
Maybe there is a problem in conjunction with Winows 7.
Can somebody help me on this topic ?

Printing Problems with Adobe Reader 10.0.1

I need some help on printing with Adobe Reader X:
we use Multi Funktional Printer from HP, they have some finishing options like Booklet Printing or stapling.
when printing 1 copy of a document it is attached correctly, at 2 copys of a document (stapled or booklet), the documents stapled together.
With Adobe Reader 9.4 it was working fine, since Update on 10.0 / 10.0.1 we have the error on 2 or more copys of a document they are stapled togehter, so they are useless!

I have the same issue. I searched and found your April 18 post. Since it has not been answered, I posted my own also.
Maybe one of us can get the answer.

Printing problem with Adobe Reader 10.1.9

I received a PDF document that I opened in Adobe Reader. The document contains a pop-up note (which contains a scanned image of a signature). When I print the document, the pop-up note signature is not printed. How can I print the document with the pop-up note containing the signature?

I'll add that we are running Apache webserver. I will post the documents to an IIS webserver and test the results. Also the following is the simplest of html pages to recreate the problem. I am simply testing this running it as a static page off of my desktop yet with the PDF documents hosted on the apache server.

Printing problem with Adobe Reader 8.1.1 on Gutsy

I have installed the new Adobe Reader 8.1.1 as a deb from Adobe site?
It is fast and works nicely except for printing where there is a problem :
Acroread always seems to print in portrait - this happens whether I have "Auto rotate and centre" option selected or not.
Evince has no problems printing the same document.
Obviously I am not the only one getting this problem :

Printing Problem with Adobe Suite

I am using Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium on Mac OS X 10.8.2 and trying to print on the Epson Artisan 1430. For some reason, when I print on a 13x19 sheet of paper and set my printing preferences to print on the 13x19 (Super B) size paper in any Adobe Creative Suite program, the image will print on the 13x19 paper, but only at an 8.5x11 size. The image printed will even be resized as if it were going to be printed on the 13x19, yet still cut off at 8.5x11 size on the 13x19 page. I called Epson and we talked through the problem. The printer will print to the full 13x19 size on any non-Adobe program, but with any Adobe program, it will be cut off. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled the entire Creative Suite and it has fixed nothing. Unfortunately, I have a deadline and I must print larger than an 8.5x11 size, but I do not know what else to do.

I know this is a super late response, but I recently had the same issue and discovered a solution (it worked for me at least). Try resetting your Photoshop user preferences. The easiest way to do this is to hold down Command, Option, Shift (Mac) OR Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys (PC) while starting up Photoshop. A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences/settings file. This resolved the issue for me and now Photoshop is correctly printing 13x19" images on 13x19" paper!

I have a user who has XP and is having issue printing from reader. She had 9.0 but uninstalled it and downloaded the most recent reader but she still cannot. Strange thing is that it affects her at both of her offices. We have roaming profiles and she has the same issue at both sites where as I can login and print a pdf just fine.
What actually happens is that she opens the document just fine but if she clicks file>print reader will lock up. It will not show the print properties or even get far enough to send the print job and this only affects adobe reader and not any other program like work to print.
It sounds like its something with her profile but I wanted to find out if anyone else has seen this or has an idea of what might be causing the issue. Thank you!

Anyone having printer problems with adobe cs5 and mountain lion

I can print one copy in adobe cs5 but if I hit the print button it shuts down the program. Anyone having this problem besides me?

Are the drivers for your printer are up to date? You probably can print one copy cause it doesn't access the option window in your application.

Printing problems with Adobe Standard 8

I have a user who has used the highlight tool in Adobe to highlight and comment sections of the PDF. When she tries to print the document with markups to a HP Laserjet 4350 printer, it only prints the highlighted text and nothing else. My user can print it out on a color printer and it prints the whole page with highlights and all. Just wondering if there is a setting that I am missing or something I will need to do to get it to print the whole document with the highlighted text on a black and white printer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are running Windows XP SP3 and Adobe 8 Standard version 8.0.0

Printing Problems with Adobe configuration

Hello all,
I try to print a pdf file in A3 booklet and when its printed I always get a error in odd pages that come black. If I select in the file configuration print as image or select Font and Resources Policy to Send for each page, then it prints in A3 booklet.
Then printer seems to be working fine with other pdf files. Just with this one is not working ok. Do you think it could case to upgrade my adobe product so i can create better pdfs?
Or there is a reason for this what is happen.
