If a user need second print, user must be use a password. How to solve this matter about a printing restriction on SAP Business One.
Thanks

  • Saving to PDF using VBA in Excel 2007 using security features such as password and print restriction

    Good Afternoon,
I am wondering if there is a way to implement the security features such as password and print restriction while saving a document to PDF using VBA in Excel 2007.

    Bill,
Thank you.  I was able to find the security setting section.  The problem I have now, however, is writing the VBA to save to PDF and incorporate the security settings.  I thought if i applied the settings to the Excel document I was working on it would carry over, but this does not seem to be the case.  Any idea's?

  • How to creat pdf documents with printing restrictions in Aperture

    Hi,
I wondered if it is possible to create a pdf document made up of 9-12 image per page contact sheets, to send to clients that restricts the client to open and view only i.e no printing allowed.
Photoshop allows this, however i would like to create /correct versions in aperture and then create a pdf [with the above printing restrictions applied, simply to save time.
the way i work in photoshop is to export approx a 500 to 1000 jpegs [ per client] in aperture to a folder which I then open with Bridge- create the contact sheets and then create the pdf document with printing restrictions applied.
is there any way for me to make this simpler, especially just using Aperture?

just been reading about terminal on another thread.... Spinning beach ball,,[page 2 of Aperture discussions].Apparently there is a command line explained there that can help speed up Aperture. I tried it but Had a problem when trying to type in my Password... It would not let me type anything....So I canceled the proceedure. [ knowing my luck I would cause some irrepairable damage to the machine].
Think I need to do a lot of reading up to get up to scratch with folk using this discussion Board!!!
With regards to the pdfauxinfo- is it complicated to get running, or does it run straiaght away in automator?

  • Preview and Print restrictions in PDF

    Hi there,
I bought the Adobe Type Basics pack, and I would like to use one of the fonts that has the Preview and Print license.
The Preview and Print license states that "Preview & Print allows the font, either fully or as a subset, to be embedded in an electronic document solely for the purpose of viewing that document on screen and/or printing that document. While a font with a Preview & Print embedding permission (either through data in the font file or the font’s license agreement) may be embedded in an electronic document, the embedded font may not be used to further edit the document it is contained in or to edit or create other documents."
If I use this font in a PDF file meant to be sold/distributed, am I violating any of these terms? As far as I know, you can't create an "editable PDF." PDFs are, to my understanding, relatively static--so I do not understand why there is such specific wording about the prohibition of "further edits."
I am using MAC Pages, so I could use the additional password protection option (under the "Save as PDF" not "Export as PDF" section)  to prevent people from "copying text, images, and other content." I presume "other content" covers fonts, but I'm not sure. And I don't know if the password encryption will prevent "editing." Technically doing so would be encrypting the PDF, I believe. However, this would not be bulletproof protection. And I do not know if that will prevent font extraction.
I would appreciate some help. From what I understand, all these points seem more relevant for PSD, AI, EPS and other workflow-type files.
    Cheers

    Thanks for posing this question.
Although fonts have embedding restrictions baked into the font such as preview and print, the real restrictions are to be found in a font's EULA (End User License Agreement) which may have other restrictions including payment of royalties on copies of PDF files or any other asset in which the fonts are embedded.
In the case of any and all fonts sourced from Adobe, not only do you have at least preview and print embedding privileges, but there are no restrictions or royalties required for distribution of files (i.e., PDF, EPS, eBooks, etc.) in which the Adobe fonts are embedded.
In other words, you are “good to go” with Adobe fonts. On the other hand, make no assumption about fonts sourced from other font foundries. Many do not provide such liberal terms!

  • Create PDF with printing restrictions

I am looking for a product that can create PDFs on a server from a VB.NET website application. It must be able to build some logic into the PDF to restrict
the printing capabillity to only allow a certain number of copies to be printed. Subsequent copies may be printed but must show different text and be watermaked as "copies". Is this possible with any of the Adobe products or any 3rd party products? We currently use abcPDF for .NET which allows us to create the PDFs from the application but it won't allow the restrictive printing as far as I can see.

You could certainly use Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management Server to secure the PDFs that you produce with restrictions on printing, viewing, etc.

  • Document Printing Restriction

    Hello experts,
is it possible in SBO to restrict printing of document only ones?
    this is my scenario:
I want out Purchase order to be printed only Once. once it is printed and the user attempt to reprint the document, the system will block the printing of the document.
    Please guide.
    Thanks in advance.
    FIDEL

    hi,
    As a workaround,Document Printing --> No authorization.,
When Purchase order gets added alert message should be triggered for super user,
by that super user knows request for printing,he(super user) can take print out copy of purchase order.

    Hello Pradeep,
Thank you for your reply. I need to print any 15 remittances along with the check. I'm printing the check on the preprinted stationary.

  • Add a Printer Restriction

Is there a way to restrict users from selecting the option "The printer that I want isnt installed" on Windows 7? We list the printers we want users to have access to in the directory listing. The reason I want the option blocked is because we
have printers available to add but by doing this users are able to bypass our secure printing function through PaperCuts.
    Any help is great.

    Hi,
    >>Is there a way to restrict users from selecting the option "The printer that I want isnt installed" on Windows 7?
Before going further, do you mean the option "The printer that I want isn't listed"? As far as I know, there is no such group policy that can directly block this
link. However, although I am not sure if this is what you want, we can enable the following setting:
    User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Printers\
    Disable the addition of printers
This policy removes the Add Printer wizard from the Start menu and from the Printers folder in Control Panel. Also, users cannot add printers by dragging a printer icon to
the Printers folder. If they try to use this method, a message appears that explains that the action is disabled by a policy.
For further explanation regarding this setting, the following article can be referred to for more information.

  • Selective printing restriction in CS4 under Mac OS 10.8 (french edition)

I run CS4 under Mountain Lion for 2 months without problem .... until yesterday.
I can print on my Epson Stylus pro 3800 images with Premium Photo paper (A2 size in the auto sheet feeder ) without problem, but the same image can't be print with Epson Traditional Photo Paper (which must be place in the rear manual feed slot, one sheet a time).
I tried printing with this traditional Photo paper under Apple Preview: no problem!
The Epson support service told me then that it's not a problem of their new french driver (9.0.4). They say so that's a problem with Photoshop CS4 on Mac OS 10.8.
Do you think if I downgrade the Epson driver to the 8.6.4 version, it would be better?
The Adobe support service tell me, this morning, that's not shure to get better if I upgrade CS4 to CS6!!
Have you any experience of this problem?
    Thanks a lot
    Jacques Camborde  Photographer France

I've no error message or nothing else.
The working bar is turning in the Epson window, with the message "sending data to the printer" (translated from french ! ;~)) and then, it suddently disapears without anything else !
I've just tried checking UltraSmooth Fine Art paper preset ans a sheet in the manual load slot: perfect: printing is possible!!

  • Acrobat - Printing Restrictions

I know you can protect your PDF document from being printed in Acrobat 9 but what about the "Print Screen" Function?

This cannot be done. It is a system function not an application function. If people want a picture they can always use a camera, disabling print screen and/or any other similar utility is an exercise in frunstaon.

  • Receiving error message when printing on a Mac from Reader 10.0.2

I have tried printing several pdf files and received this error message: "Error: pstopdffilter/pstocupsraster failed with err number 13" from an HP Officejet Pro 8500. The problem started yesterday under Reader version 9.4.2, to which I upgraded a few days ago; I further upgraded today to version 10.0.2 to see if that would help. The printer is fine and the documents all print OK when using Apple Preview and Safari. There are no print restrictions on the documents. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply, but there was no effect from "Reset printing system..." in System Preferences->Print & Fax. In addition, I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software from disc - also, no effect. I've narrowed the problem down a bit by sucessfully printing to the same printer from Reader installed on another computer on my wireless network, so it does appear not to be a Reader issue. Off now to the HP website, and sorry if I created any unintended distraction to Adobe Forum members.

  • Network shared printers stop working; default printer changes

    Hello,
Have an odd printing issue that seems to be ongoing and am trying to come up with a good solution or fix for it.
We have an environment that has a Windows 2012R2 Print Server, that is sharing various printers which are also set to List in Directory.  Some of the printers are HP and are using the HP Universal driver which shows as "True" for Packaged in
the print management window, and some of the printers are Canon which are using device specific drivers and show as "False" for Packaged.  My understanding is that the packaged attribute simply indicates that Point and Print can then download
the driver and install/use it without any security prompts whereas if it is not Packaged, then the driver must be installed on the local server/workstation by an Administrator.  We have Group Policy defined such that all Point and Print restrictions are
    Disabled.
We then have multiple Remote Desktop Session Hosts based on Server 2008R2 (x64).  Users connect to these hosts via thin clients (Wyse) and there is a domain login script using KiXtart that creates printer connections to the shared printers using an address
of \\printserver\printername.  We also set the default printer via the login script each time depending on user's group membership.
Each part of this setup is on it's own routed VLAN subnet, so the Print Server is on 192.168.0.x/24, RDSHs are on 192.168.1.x/24 and the printers themselves are on 192.168.2.x/24.  There is no firewall or other restrictions between the subnets, all traffic
    is allowed to flow.
The issue we are having is two parts, the first is the larger issue, but both are a pain:
    1) Randomly (no discernible pattern/reason/timeframe), some Canon printers will stop appearing in Print dialog boxes from applications when a user tries to print.  It only seems to happen on the Canon printers.  The printer will still show in Control
Panel -> Devices and Printers, but when you right click it and try to go to Printer Properties or view any of the printer settings, you'll get an error saying the printer is not accessible/valid.  I have also tried a WMI query for "select * from
win32_printer" and the printer will not be returned.  To temporarily fix it, we right click the printer, and choose to remove it and then go through the wizard to re-add the same printer from the directory again.  That will correct it and the
user can print again, view all properties, etc.  This doesn't happen to every user but happens sporadically and once it happens to a user it seems to pop up once every week or two.
Now, we have made a change and installed the Canon printers in question locally on the Remote Desktop Session Hosts themselves using TCP/IP ports so that each user logging into the session host will see all of the printers.  This also seems to have resolved
this issue.  So it leads me to think there is some sort of timeout or connection getting dropped, but for no real apparent reason.  This is all on a virtualized platform and so the Print Server and Session Hosts have very reliable LAN connections
amongst themselves.  And further, we never see the issue with the HP printers, they seem to maintain their stability at all times.
    2) The other issue we are seeing is that from time to time the default printer setting changes or vanishes altogether.  It doesn't happen to every user but once it does happen it happens regularly (multiple times a day).  This happens even when using
the locally mapped TCP/IP printer or when using the network print server.  From what I have read and found, this generally seems to be a known issue regarding redirected client printers and some GP settings related thereto.  But we aren't redirecting
any local client printers, everything is network based/shared.
In digging into these two issues I have run across the following error we get regularly in the PrintService Event Viewer log:
The print spooler failed to import the printer driver that was downloaded from \\printserver\print$\x64\PCC\ntprint.inf_amd64_59246c3ac1bd3f2a.cab into the driver store for driver Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver. Error code= 800f024b.
This can occur if there is a problem with the driver or the digital signature of the driver.
And digging further into that seems to be that their was an error validating one of the DLL files as seen at the following thread:  http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/9fe186e4-52f7-4552-a223-b2320cfc9ed5/driver-install-semi-fails-with-800f024b?forum=winserverprint
We get the exact same error that is shown there UNISRV.DLL being flagged as invalid, and have applied the hotfix indicated in KB2701894.
I am not sure the above error is realted to the issues at hand, but figured it is a good starting point to eliminate it as a potential cause of the issue.
Any input or suggestions on what to do to diagnose or further resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

Alan, I'm getting this error 600 in my company. Is there any fix for this problem?
After installing KB2919355 on Windows 2012 R2, when I try to map a shared printer I receive the following error message: A policy is in effect on your computer which prevents you from connecting to this print queue. Please contact your system administrator.
If I uninstall the patch the shared printer maps correctly.
I also notice that if I copy the driver \\server\print$\x64\PCC\ntprint.inf_amd64_a7ac65d1b7714fb1.cab
from a Windows 2012 R2 before applying KB2919355 to the server that has the patch applyed (and rename it), I can map the printer.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for that?

  • Windows 8.1 Update - issues deploying printers via GPO from a 2012R2 Print Server

    Hi,
I am trying to deploy a single printer to Windows 8.1 clients in a K-12 environment. We have about 1200 laptops and about 25% of those laptops are installing the printer. Several different users can log on and the printer may or may not be there. The printer
is being deployed to the Computer not the User. If the printer was successfully installed shouldn't the printer be available immediately after logging in with different AD accounts? Sometimes it shows up 10mins later as if it needed to install it again. I
read the changes from v3 to v4 printing in Windows 8, Ive checked the event log errors, printer shares, etc. Deploying Printers to Windows 8.1 clients is poor at best even when it supposed to be easier for IT to manage. Also I was under the impression that
Windows 8.1 clients do not attempt to downloads drivers from a windows print server anymore as they opt to use a v4 print class driver.
    Environment Details:
Windows 2012R2 Printer Server all patched, Windows 8.1 all patched, AD users are identical as well as the computers (reside in the same OUs) Printer is deployed to the computers, Point and print restrictions is completely disabled. Restarting the print spooler
on the client has little to no effect. Computers connect wirelessly to the network and print server is in the same building. Started pushing to the user as well to see if it helps. Windows 7 clients are unaffected and get the printer consistently.
    Errors:
The print spooler failed to download and import the printer driver from \\Server into the driver store for driver KONICA MINOLTA C652SeriesPS. Error code= 800f0242.
The print spooler failed to import the printer driver that was downloaded from \\Server\print$\x64\PCC\koazca__.inf_amd64_664b51505681ff6d.cab into the driver store for driver KONICA MINOLTA C652SeriesPS. Error code= 800f0242. This can occur if there is
a problem with the driver or the digital signature of the driver.

  • Can't print a PDF doc using Adobe Reader X

Previously had Adobe Reader 8.  First time ever experienced a problem in printing a PDF document, message read "you need to install a printer".  My printer is installed, can print in Word, Excel, photos, etc.  Downloaded latest drivers to my printer, installed Adobe Reader X, opened the document, but alas, it encountered a problem and closed down.  So I am still unable to print a PDF document.  I've been around in circles trying to find a solution but haven't been successful.  Can anyone help?

Normally if I come across unprintable PDF files, first I would check the property to see if it has print restriction. If so, I would turn to a pdf password remover to remove it.
But your case is a little strange, maybe you can try to print with another pdf reader first.
That's all I can think about. Hope it helps.
