Printing sequence in 8.8
Hi all,
I am trying to understand and test the "printing seqs" on Report and Layout Manager for SBO 8.8. But I couldn't make it work. Anyone know how to use it?
Thanks,
David
Which localizations does print sequence work for?
I have a customer running USA localization and it doesn't seem to work. We need to print 3 copies of the Bill of Lading and 1 packing slip for deliveries and right now I am only able to print 1 Bill of Lading and a Batch Report. I have set in the Printing Seq tab, BOL set to 3 copies and 1 packing slip.

Multi photo per page print with declared print sequence
ArchLinux discussion helped me learn that photoprint could deliver wallet sized photos by way of file manager selection and then "open in" photoprint.
when I installed photoprint I also learned that a missing print feature in gthumb resolved (hidden dependency I guess) Now for a bigger question.
What photo application allows for a declaration of printing sequence for each photo?
Every multiphoto printing tool I have seen (including the windows world) just lets you select from thumbnails and the images are default printed according to alphanumeric sorting on filename. Even other sorting filters (such as date based) . are of no use compared to a sequencing interface composed in the selection process.
Printing a small collection is all about telling a story visually and the sequence of presenting each image counts alot whatever the print size.
thanks in advance
TySelect the photo and print - select the printer, paper size and print size, click customize an in the setting select multipls of a photo on a page - the preview will reflect this selection - and click print - make any printer specific selection and click print to print

Check+Printing+Sequence
I am looking for some guidance on Check Printing Sequence. Our specific problem is that we want checks over $50K to print first in our check run because these checks require signatures, but we are unsure of how to get this to work other than having two separate check runs and segregating that way. Can someone suggesta solution? Thanks in advance for your help!
I am receiving threw XML. I don't wana use XSD.

AIR Help - Why is Print Sequence Disabled?
Hi all,
I have experimented with a copy of a client's Help system in
both RH7 w/packager and the RH8 trial, generating output to the AIR
Help format. After generating & installing the .air package,
and viewing the new .exe help file, I notice the following: Click
the dropdown next to the Print icon and three options are listed
(Print this page, Print sequence, Print entire Help). No matter
what is selected below, Print sequence is always unavailable
(grayed out). This is the case when I generate with either version.
Am I missing something in the settings?
Thanks,

In addition to what my colleague and fellow Adobe Community
Expert Peter suggested, I read this thread and am inferring that
perhaps Katie doesn't fully understand how Browse Sequences work.
Particularly in WebHelp. So I see this could impact the operation
of things.
Please allow me to try and explain.
A Browse Sequence is merely a pre-defined path that traverses
two or more topics so that they are presented in a logical order.
You said that you created a Browse Sequence using the Auto-create
feature so I'm assuming you now have several different sequences.
This is because until you change the number of Book levels, you end
up with several sequences. If you wanted a single sequence that
spanned all of the TOC, you would need to auto-create the sequence
and specify 0 as the book levels.
That bit will hopefully help you sort the sequence creation.
Now let's address the sequence *USE*.
When you have created WebHelp output by clicking File >
Generate Primary Layout (assuming the primary is WebHelp) you see
four or five intermediate dialogs that allow you to specify
different parameters that govern how that layout is created.
Typically on the second dialog is an option for Browse Sequences.
So once you have created a sequence, you have to remember to enable
it in WebHelp in order to see it work. At this point, I'm thinking
you *MAY* have done this but it isn't clear. After all, if you have
never used them before, you may not have realized you needed to do
this step. You also may not realize how the sequence appears in
WebHelp.
So once you have defined the sequence and told WebHelp to
present it, you generate and the sequence is presented as two icons
in the "Navigation mini-toolbar". The little toolbar that sits
majestically perched at the top of the TOC, Index, Search, Glossary
and just below the main toolbar. So here's why you may think it's
not working in WebHelp. The behavior of the Previous and Next icons
will change depending on which topic you are viewing. If the topic
presented in the Topic pane is part of a sequence, one or both of
the buttons will be enabled. If the topic is the *FIRST* topic of a
sequence, the Next button will be enabled but Previous will not be.
This is because you cannot go further backward. The topic begins
the sequence. Assuming there are more than two topics in the
sequence, you click the Next button and the next topic in the
sequence is presented in the topic pane. This should then cause the
Previous button to enable and work when you click it. Once the last
topic in a sequence is presented, the Next button disables as you
cannot go further.
The bottom line here is that if you are displaying a topic
that is not part of a browse sequence, bot buttons will be disabled
and dead to the user.
Now shift focus to AIR Help. It seems reasonable to me that
if the AIR Help is presenting a topic that isn't part of the Browse
Sequence, just as WebHelp disables both the Previous and Next
buttons in the mini toolbar, AIR Help may disable the Print
Sequence feature.
Now that it's hopefully clear how this all works, please
ensure you are displaying a topic that is included in a Browse
Sequence and see if you now have an available option. I'm not
looking at AIR Help at the moment as I have no access to RoboHelp
8. So you might be seeing a bug or you might find it now works as
designed. Only you can say for certain.
Keep in mind that when you create AIR Help, I believe it has
to be installed after created in order to see it work. So just to
be on the safe side, after you ensure things are configured as
outlined, try generating to a different output file name, then
install and test that.

Print sequence error - No matching records found
Hi experts,
We are facing an issue when choosing to print a sequence of two documents. These two documents can be printed individually without any error, but when we try to print the sequence, we are getting the error "No matching records found".
This issue occurs in both SAP 9.0 (pl5) in Inventory Movement document and in SAP 8.82 (pl5) in all purchase and sales documents.
Has anyone faced the same issue?
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards,
Vassilis KorolisHi,
It is an application error in 8.82 & 9.0 versions.
Please check SAP note:
1981583 - An error appears when you use Print Sequences for a Stock
Transfer document.

Is "print sequence" enabled in RH7 Packager for AIR?
I can't get "print sequence" to enable. I'm also unsure of what exactly the "sequence" is that would be printed. Any topic I navigate to is the "end" of a browse sequence. The previous elements in the browse sequence are always folders in the table of contents. I don't understand what, other than the end topic, is ever printed.
Hi again
You define a Browse Sequence in RoboHelp by clicking Tools > Browse Sequence Editor. You then choose the topics that are part of each sequence you define.
Breadcrumbs are based on the path to each topic based on the Table of Contents. They are actually calculated by RoboHelp at the time you generate your output.
Cheers... Rick

Mass Printing Sequence with Broadcasting with SN 2004s
Hi,
We are currently running on BW 3.5 and our customer has specific requirements in terms of printing. the printed layout off course must be good, which will be improved with the latest version of broadcasting. But on top of this, they have requirements in terms of mass printing and sequence.
The central controlling department will need, each month, to print specific reports for all individual cost centers (more than one hundred), plus the nodes to which they are assigned within the hierarchy. And possibly, the print out must follow the sequence of the position of the cost centers within the hierarchy.
So, I would like to know whether the 2004S broadcasting would enable to schedule & print "in one go" these 100 reports in the specific sequence of the hierarchy.
I have read carefully the blog of Katie Beavers on this respect and raised the question but she does not seem to be able to answer.
Thx very much for your input.
StéphaneHi Stephane,
you can realize your requirement by using a control query.
In the definition of the control query you can use a hierachry as a presentation hierachy, and hence this hierarchy will be used to distribute the resulting queries in the Information Broadcasting of your original query.
Best regards

Hi Guys
I have one problem
We have standard WM TO print program RLVSDR40
user asking us why TO print gives irregular printing
Example Line 1,2 Storage type K10 and again Line 8,9 Storage type K10
He wants to print as all simmilar storage type lines in sequence.
Is this program has this sorting logic??
Thanks in advance
SAP MMHello,
Please use the sort profiles based on your requirememenst. Here are the details of sort profiles
In the sorting fields themselves, you can enter sort criteria (such as storage bin, material, weight, volume and so on) that are saved in the system for the sorting profile.
Printing pick lists (using report RLKOMM00), the following sort routines were defined:
1 Sort by source storage bin within a reference number.
2 Sort by destination storage bin within a reference number.
3 Sort by material number within a reference number.
4 Sort by TO item number within a reference number.
5 Sort by source storage bin for all reference numbers.
6 Sort by destination storage bin for all reference numbers.
7 Sort by material number for all reference numbers.
8 Sort by transfer order item number for all reference numbers.
9 ,10 free
Using standard transfer order printing (with report RLVSDR10), the following sort routines were defined:
1 (Routine 1) No special sorting, that is, sort by TO item
2 Sort by source storage type and storage bin
3 Sort by dest.storage type and storage bin
4 Sort by material number
5 - 10 free

Print Sequence of Multiple Pages per Sheet
I am using Adobe Reader 11.0.10 on Windows 7. I have created a document using Word which has four pages set out as 2 pages per sheet double sided, landscape. Word prints the document with pages 1 & 4 on one side and 2 & 3 on the other (flipped on short side) However, if I save the document in PDF format and then print it, pages 1 & 2 are on one side with 3 & 4 on the other. Is there any way around this? I rather not keep two versions of the same document
thanks,
MikeI tried some things and came to conclusion, that the more pages I print the more bugs I got. Bit by bit I printed seperate pages again and replaced the wrong ones by them. But couldn't be the solution, could it?

Changing print sequence of the output types
Hi Friends,
We are using Z program for issuing output .
In this we are giving input values as Application (ex. V3) and output type (Ex Zx50) to take invoice printouts
At present we are having three output types ZX43 , ZX44 AND ZX45.
For this three output types program name and form name is different .
To take invoice print we are executing this Z program with output types separtely.
Our requirement is
Creating new application ( ex V4 ) AND new outype type (ex ZX46) under this we have to bring this three output types ZX43 , ZX44 AND ZX45.
By giving input as V4 and ZX46 it has to do the same work as it is done separtely
while doing code please give me the suggestion or logic how to combine all these three output types in one
Regards
R.vijayakumarHi,
You can do this in the NACE configuration itself. we can call 5 program and forms for a particular output type.
In the output type processing routine of nace transaction mention the program and form name
Thanks

Print preview using crystal report in SAP B1 is very slow.
Dear all,
I face another problem. Print preview using crystal report in SAP B1 is very slow. Although i have create a layout in AR invoice form and applying the print sequences (ie 4 prints). Does any one know how to print preview fast. Just like in PLD.
Thanks in advance
Kamlesh NawareHi,
Basically Crystal report run with SQL statement, I would suggest to do well performance tuning on SQL query / Store Procedure.
Structure your query in DBA manner that will make some how faster such as use ( inner join, less condition,...)..
also if it simple query then use Command in Crystal report rather store Procedure..that make some how Faster your report.
Thanks
Kevin

Crystal Report viewing and Printing Issue
Hi Experts
I use crystal Reports for PO,AR Invoice,Delivery and many other documents. It takes more than 5 mins to view layout from crystal report and print sequence printing takes more than 10mins.Please Help me to rectify this issue..
Regards
Naresh KumarHi Naresh,
What is your SAP version and Patch Level ?
I believe in new version this issue has been addressed by SAP. Also note SAP B1 8.81 PL 07 has some issues in crystal Report, it asks for SQL user id and password, SAP is aware of this issue. So if you plan upgrade to latest PL then ensure that Crystal report issue is resolved, otherwise you will be in trouble.

How do I set the print and paper size in iPhoto 5
Can somebody please help. How do you set up iPhoto 5 so that you define both the the size of the print and the photo paper you use?
For example, I wish to print a 4.5cm x 3.5 cm photo on 6x4 (or 15cm x 10cm to keep all the units the same) paper.
I've seen a post saying how to do it in iPhoto 8, but the drop-downs are different.I do not remember the locations in iPhoto 5 but there are probably three places to mess with
1 - set the paper size
2 - set the print size
3 - set the paper tray for the printer to use that has the paper size that you set in step 1
these may be in the print sequence or under the file menu as page set up (or similar). If these are not obvious try the Help menu
