Printing small print

Can anyone tell me how I can get my printer to print in large print?  Mine prints so small that you cannot read what you printed out.

This is a duplicate post with http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Home-Web-Printing/HP-Photosmart-3-in-one-prints-so-small/m-p/841995, I will lock this one.  Look at the other thread for replies.

  • Crystal report Print small print area

    Hello,
i made some receipt print and i had a problem with printig of report. I prepared report and in reportviewer it was OK, but when i send it to a  receipt printer, the final ouptut is bad.The report was printed  in small text area left bottom of paper.
in attach file: left is oputput, right is viewer.
I tried it to send via PrintToPrinter method or print from CrystalReportViwer. The problem is everywhere.
    Maybe some problem with resolution..
Can you resolve my problem ?
    Thanks you for your idea

    Hello Jan
The most likely reason is the printer driver. From the screenshot, the report looks like it is formatted on an A1 or 8 1/2 X 11 page. But the printout is on a label printer(?). So, if the report is supposed to be used on a label printer, it must be formatted in the designer for that specific label printer.
You don't mention the version of CR or VS you are working with, but I assume it is VS 2010 / 2012 and SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (CRVS). If that is the case, make sure you apply Service Pack 8 for CRVS:

If you need to adjust the font size on websites then look at:

  • When printing to PDF from webpage, the pdf is compressed on the bottom of each page and markedly smaller print. How do I correct this?

When printing to PDF from webpage, the pdf is compressed on the bottom of each page and with markedly smaller print, the top of the page is fine. How do I correct this?

Open Contacts and click Preferences on the menu named Contacts. On the General tab of the Preferences window, select Show First Name: Before Last Name and then print. You can change that Preference back to the other way after printing if desired.

  • Mail does not print attachment name & prints small

When printing an email, if it has an attachment, it does not print the attachment name.  It prints the icon of the attachment (excel, word, psd, etc.) but it doesn't print the name of the file under it.  This started happening since upgrading to Mavericks.
Also, emails are printing much smaller.  Is there a way to enlarge the font when printing?

The same here and quite a lot of other Mail bugs - and all since the new MacPro and Mavericks, no such problems with Mavericks on the MacBookPro 2011 though
Sometimes the file names are printed, sometimes not and there is no way to find out why - it happens on and off with own mails to be sent and mails received.
Workaround for own mails is put each file underneath the other with some distance from the last word. Workaround in case of customer mails received go to reply, edit signature on top, reduce to one page and hope .... sometimes it works.
Also: on and off, Preview will show and printer will print only header on the first page, then body text on the second - only workaround to date (and believe me, I've tried everything) is use Reply, eliminate your own signature and reduce the printed area to less than a page
Also: long mails with back-and-forth messages may print a line half on one page and lower half on second one .... no workaround here.
Seems Mail is going to A4 US instead of A4 small (Europe), though this is not what the printer and the system or Word etc. are set to.
And a sneaking suspicion, that it works ok with people sending me mails from a Mac, but not from a Windows box ... can't bother all my customers though and ask
So please Apple - lots of people have the same problems - will you finally do something about it ... and yes I used the Feedback function

  • When using firefox to search and then print, the printing is very small. This doesn't happen when using another browzer? Can I fix?

When visiting different web sites (fidelity, sutter health , etc) from the Firefox browzer and I try and print, the printing always comes out very small like maybe a size 4 or 6. When I use another browzer it comes out normal size. Is there a way I can correct this? Also you should know I'm not real computer smart.
Thanks for any help you can provide

Once you set that preference it should hold that setting. You could try 125% but it might clip the right-side of the page.

  • Sc reen too small print cant read

Screen too small print how to make it larger as it used to be

Assuming you are on a Windows machine--------hold down the Cntrl key and tap the + or - keys to increase or decrease the size of the font.  Cntrl + 0 (zero) should return it to the default.

  • Problems printing smaller sizes in Lightroom 1.4 Windows Vista-64bit, R800

    Hi All,
I am having problems printing smaller sizes in Lightroom v1.4, WIndows Vista-64 bit, on an Epson R800 (driver version 6.5cAs, the latest one) . When I try to set the printer settings in both the page set up and the printer setup, it displays as 5X7, but somehow when it actually goes to print, the print dialogue box reverts back to 8.5 X11. I can print 5X7 in CS3 with no problems on the same machine. The prints coming from light room look ok, they are just the wrong size for the page. Some how it appears that lightroom is not able to change the printing size defaults from 8.5X11. The prints in lightroom are fine as long as I use 8.5X11 or print in CS3. Any help to fix this would be great.

make sure your ventilation ducts are clean from dirt, Vista put lot more strain on every component of your laptop, so the temperature increase should be normal. Xp is lot less demanding on computer compoents, however it does sound like your heat ventilation fan and fins are clogged with dusts. So open up the laptop to clean away any dusts that maybe there.

  • Deskjet 9800 = Print small part of screen

Is there a way to print only a small part of the full screen ?

Hit shift and print screen.  open up paint and paste it in, crop it to what you want to print, and print it.
Some of the higher end printers have drivers that will let you print a single frame from a web page (if the web page uses frames), other wise it's the old print screen and crop option.

  • Images smaller printed then edited, help needed

    Hello everyone.
I'm using LiveCycle Manager 8.0 on Win XP SP3
When building a new form i got various problems with images being printed smaller then what is defined and shown in the edited and also in preview mode.
The problem occurs with images that are being included with Image Fields.
The problem gets even bigger if i place the images by showing them by the push of a button (script)
Pictures will not be x/y placed and sized as defined in the layout parameter
Here are some details about the pics:
    Larger header pic 17.7 x 8.0 cm, 300dpi
    Smaller pics bellow 17.7 x 1.6 cm, 300dpi
Here are some screen shoots to show you how it looks.
Any help would be great as I really tried a lot but can't find a solution.
    Designmode:
    Preview Mode
    Final PDF messed up
PS: LiveCycle Manager also seems to run very bugy. Sometimes it crashes when changing a image parameter.

    Hi,
OK I am trying to get to grips with what you are trying to achieve.
The preview now shows how the form will look in Acrobat (Form / Properties / Preview / Interactive).
In the top imageField I cannot explain why the displayed image is not as per the design view. Because it works for an image object (rev 1 in previous post), I suspect that it is a bug in the imageField object.
There are workarounds however it would depend on the number of options (images) that the user has to select and if these images will change over time. If there are a small number of options, you could include all of the images in a series of image objects that are hidden and then change the visibility depending on what the user selects. This would be easier for the user because they would not have to browse to an image location.
In relation to the "Geben Sie hier einen Titel ein |" header; if you are looking to change the background colour, then there is a simpler way, which i have included in rev 2.
You can script rectangles for presence, colour, etc. The rectangle cannot contain the script, but you can include script in a button that will affect the presence and appearance (look) of the rectangle.
    Hope that helps,
    Niall

  • When I try to print a photo downloaded from Facebook in iPhoto, I can't get the size I specify to print correctly. Example: 5x7 prints smaller than 5x7. What do I do to solve this problem?

When I try to print a photo downloaded from Facebook in iPhoto, I can't get the size I specify to print correctly. Example: 5x7 prints smaller than 5x7. What do I do to solve this problem?

Those pixel dimemsions have aspect ratios that are not the same as a 5 x7 print:
    1360 x 1360 = 1.0
    790 x 640 = 1.23
    2048 x 1366 = 1.5
    An 7 x 5 image = 1.4.
So you'll need to crop the images to 5 x 7 before printing.  The first two images are a little light in the pixels to produce a high resolution 5 x 7 print.

  • Jaggies in small prints

I was doing some small prints (5.5x3.5 inch postcard size) using Lightroom yesterday. I noticed that some 15deg off horizontal white lines on a blue background had very obvious jaggies. I then exported the same photos as TIF and imported the TIF into QImage Pro and printed them again same size - perfect no sign of jaggies. What is going wrong in Lightroom? I was definitely not printing with the draft mode printing button selected. I can only assume that the re-scaling algorithm Lightroom uses for down-sizing is less than optimum. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a way to cure the problem in Lightroom?

Well, no...the old "send it a number divisible by the printer resolution" is an old wives tale...sound good and makes sense until you examine the way inkjet printers form dots.
I know for a "fact" that Epson doesn't do ANY resampling...their method of forming dots (variable size) is via an elaborate error diffusion method. It's much more like a sieve where the print driver allows some data to form dots while the excess (if any) is merely dropped off. The Epson driver (and I suspect the HP/Canon bubble-jet tech) really doesn't have a "real" native resolution...only an "effective resolution".
You would be far better off simply resizing without resampling to get your image size to be what you want-and let the ppi fall where they may. Even if it's an odd intermediate size.
It's the resampling to a specific ppi ratio that is wasteful and ineffective. Yes, you can upsample...but it will only do you any good if you also run additional sharpening or pixel manipulation because the resampling actually introduces softness.
The advantage-particularly in a Lightroom type environment-is that for small print you need more ppi and for large you need less. So, ideally LR should just allow you to send real and unsampled resolution to your printer. Currently it doesn't....and I think that will change.

  • How do I fix Maverick Mail printing smaller font?

I just upgraded to a new MacBook Pro with Retina screen running Mavericks 10.9.1. Restored my stuff from Time Machine Backup of my old MacBook.
I discovered that Maverick Mail is printing all emails in smaller size than what they are written. 12 point Helvita looks like 8 point, or less, when printed from the Maverick Mail on a laser printer, also connected to my wife's iMac. Printing the same emails from the iMac, running Lion, prints in accurate 12 point size. I have printed other documents from my Mavericks MacBook, i.e. PDF's that I created on the old MacBook. Those documents print in original size. So, problem is with Maverick Mail.
For some reason, Mail is reducing the print size of the emails, no matter if the email is going to the printer or printed to a PDF file. The font size is reduced.
I have seen that others have had a similar problem with Maverick Mail.
Has anyone found a fix? Or do we have to wait for the Apple geniuses to get around to findiing their mistakes in Mail?

Keep the Powerbutton and the Homebutton pressed at the same time until you see the Apple logo on your screen.
