Printing text to form using Pages

I have a paper form that is 2.75 x 6 inches and I need to print information on it. The text would always be the same. How can I set this up. I have tried but no matter how I set it up the text prints in the middle of an 8.5 x 11 sheet not starting at the top edge where it should. Something is kaka coo coo.
The end result would be that the printer prints the text in the correct boxes on the preprinted form.
I have used acrobat to scan in the form and use the form itself to find the perfect location for the text I will be printing on the form. Can't seem to figure this all out, landscape, portrait, custom size paper, rotate, margins, etc......

The form is not 8.5 x 11. It's 2.75 x 6 and won't feed through the printer that way. It jams. If it were to go through like an envelope does it would work (the width being 2.75 and the length being 6. The form is a landscape setup like an envelope. I can send the envelope though the center of the printer by moving the guides in on both sides. Should the document be in landscape or portrait mode or should the text be rotated?

        2. Custom Container is the one type of tool and its used for Displaying the Reports
            with the use of ABAP Objects.

Problem to print pdf-based forms using Epson printer

Hello,
I need print pdf-based forms using an EPSON FX 2190 printer.
In The sap note 685571 I read that can print PDF-based forms on all printers installed in the SAP system as long as the relevant XDC file exists.
I do not found XDC file to EPSON device type, a Epson fx 2190 do not support postscript.
Can I use this printer to pdf-based forms?
I need that spool request (pdf) have a output immediately on EPSON printer.

I don't think Epson has developed an XDC for ESC/P language. That would be very difficult/long to develop an XDC from scratch. Best solution is to install a new printer. Otherwise you may either use a Printer Description Language converter (PS to ESC/P, or other ones), it probably exists, or call acrord32 in print mode on a Windows frontend or server.

I am afraid you cannot make your scenario work if there is no XDC provided. Maybe you can create one, but I don´t know how difficult that can be or how to do that. Maybe you can get more help under ABAP > Form printing where there are guys experienced with this printing details. Regards, Otto

When I try to print in booklet form, the pages are scaled down greatly.

I am trying to print an excel sheet (converted to PDF) in booklet form through Adobe Reader. It is full size in Reader, but when I switch it to booklet form, the pages become very small. I understand that each page fits on one half of a piece of printer paper in order to be folded, but they become extremely small.

. I am not allowed to select. I think I hve to change a setting, bt what?
David, have you enabled the "Autoflow" options? There are settings behind the cogwheel, that will automatically place unused images onto new pages. If you only want to select a few images from a large project, disable these two options:
Or start your book froman album, that only contains a selection of your images, rather than from the whole project.

How to create fill-in form using "Pages".

Is there a way to create a standard form where the document starts with text that cannot be edited. Then, the user, could use a tab to fill in information.
ie. A template of a fax form where the tab is used to fill in changable date, (phone #).

AFAIK, Pages does not support this. To create forms, you can try Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, OpenOffice or NeoOffice. (Be warned, it is not simple in any of them).

Pasta 3.0 - Printing Purchase Order Forms using Pasta

Has everyone successfully gotten the Pasta utility using the PrintForm functionality to work for printing Purchase Orders in a 11.5.8 environment. We have applied the latest Pasta patches for 3.0.4 and has created a postscript file from a msword document, transferred to a True64 unix machine and converted it to the PrintForm (.pf) file. We have followed all of the setup steps for the print drivers and has run the concurrent job. It appears to have merge the text base report into a postscript file but it will not print out on the printer. When we view the output via the application you can see the data from the report but you do not see the logo image from the printform file. We are under a time constraint so any feedback would be appreciated.

Ok thanks but it wont print text at edge of page

Thanks the scaling was not checked good catch.
But when I print to scale it won't print any text near my right border. I have changed paper size to allow it to have more room but it still prints at 36'' wide and cuts off text at right hand side of drawing. I have attached file showing the result.
I would sooooo appreciate any help here. I called Adobe tech support and they dropped the ball completely. Sent them the file no response whatsoever...

Non-printing text frame for use in exported pdf

Hi everyone,
I have a couple of words in a text frame and I've set the text frame to be be non-printing in the attributes panel. I was hoping that by doing this, that when I exported to pd, it would show in the pdf file but not print, but as it happens it doesn't show at all in the pdf.
Is there a way to mark a text frame as non-printing in Indesign but still have it show in the pdf and not print in the pdf?
Would be grateful for any advice.

It might work to put it on it's own layer, mark the layer as non-printing, so it won't print from ID, but export a layered PDF (you might have to include non-printing layers to get it inthe PDF, but I don't think so). In Acrobat pro you can then change the layer properties to visible, but non-printing. It's a real pain to do this.

1099 Form - Misc doesn't print 2 forms per page.

The 2007A PLD form that we have prints only 1 form per page. The 1099 forms that we have for MISC have 2 'forms' per page. I have tried scaling the size of the repetitive area so 2 vendors print per page, but I am unsuccessful. How does PLD know how many vendors (1099's) to print per page?

Our organization is having this issue with the new Adobe forms that were released. The 1099 smartforms print 2 forms per page but the 1099 adobe forms are only printing 1 form per the OSS note that was just released - Note: 1949022. Is there somewhere in config that we can select to print 2 per page?
We are using IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC which will print just 1 form per page ( we also had to make some adjustments because the top gets cut off...)
form IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC1 will print 2 forms per page but it is not a new vendor that prints on the form it is a copy of the first on the page
The 1099 Interest adobe form prints 2 per page with IDWTCERT_US_1099INT - this is curious too because the smartform prints 3 forms per page
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Do you know how to resolve it?I am considering putting in a problem report.

PDF Form Printing Text, but no Form

I have an accountant trying to print a PDF Form. It cannot be saved, but only printed. When the form is completed and printed, it only prints out the entered text, and nothing else. All other PDF docs print fine
IT conditions:
She prints to an older Panasonic Copy machine
Her printer connection is Shared
Another PC can print the same form 100% fine and that machine goes through here PC to the printer.
Completed Troubleshooting:
First discovered she was on Reader 10.1.3 and the other PC was 10.1.1
Did a complete uninstall of 10.1.3 to include deleting from registry
Installed 10.1.1 with same issue.
Verified all a printer and reader settings are the same for both PCs
Attempted work arounds:
Installed doPDF virtual printer to try and save the completed form as PDF
PDF prints text and form text, but not the field borders for each block
Installed Nitro PDF as default PDF reader, same issue. Will not print out the field borders.
Additional Troubleshooting:
Ran full virus and malware/spyware scans with no issues.

When you print it, the box that pops up should say, under the Comments and Forms box, "document and markups". Hope that helps.
