Printing the History in Safari

I need to print out my history but I don't kow how. When I view my history by day and try to print it, it just reverts to the current web page I'm on.
Any ideas?

Hello, ThomasVan
Welcome to Apple Discussions !!
I just when Home Folder > Library > Safari> History .plist and Info is there.
So are all the other extra characters, I would not be interested in printing that for all the extras, but you may want to.
I guess you could copy and paste in textedit, work it & then print seems like
lots of work.
I would take a screen shot instead, with Grab Utility Finder >Go> Utilities,
double click grab, I would take the screenshot before it get very large.

Welcome to the HP Forums Hinalover,
I see by your post that you are having issues with the print spooler on the Windows 7 computers.
I can help you with this issue.
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
Try running the Microsoft Fix It Tool to see if it will fix the print spooler.
Diagnose and repair Windows File and Folder Problems automatically.
You can also run the System File Checker to repair corrupted or missing files.
System File Checker: Run sfc /scannow & analyze its logs in Windows 7 | 8.
You might end up having to do a repair of Windows.
Please let me know the results.
    Have a nice day!
    Thank You.

Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean reinstall.
Install the new version that you have downloaded.
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

  • Where can I find the history in Safari? It shows only 2 days while I have saved the history for 1 month.

    Hello Barbara,
Thank you for the question.  It sounds like you are only seeing the 2 most recent days of your web browsing history in Safari.
If you haven't tried this yet, I suggest going to History > Show All History when Safari is open to see if more sites come up.  You can find this step and more information at the following link:

  • How Do I Delete ONLY The History in Safari 8.0?

When attempting to delete the history, WITHOUT deleting website data, cookies and the like, the end result is that Safari 8.0 is basically reset. Is there a work-around or is this an Apple oversight?

What is the URL of that start page?
You can delete the formhistory.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder to remove all stored form data.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

  • Can i find and print the history through the firefox browser from a mac?

I am trying to print recent history of the sites visited from a Macintosh laptop. I can not figure out how to open up the history and print it. I was wondering if this was possible?

This is how you can print Firefox history (on MacOS but should work on other platforms)
    1) Download and install SQLite Manager FF plugin
    2) Open SQLite Manager from the tools menu
    3) Open places.sqlite from your-home/Library/Application Support/Firefox/profiles/your.profile/
    4) Hit the Execute SQL tab
    5) Use a select similar to this.....
    <pre><nowiki>SELECT datetime(moz_historyvisits.visit_date/1000000,'unixepoch'), moz_places.url, moz_places.title
    FROM moz_places, moz_historyvisits
    WHERE moz_places.id = moz_historyvisits.place_id AND url LIKE '%youtube%'</nowiki></pre>
    6) Click the actions dropdown to export to CSV
    Hope this helps

  • A few weeks ago I cleared the history in safari.  Since that time it no longer records any new history and the "clear history" tab looks to be frozen.  Have tried shutting down, nothing helps.  Advice please.

A few weeks ago I cleared the history on my iPad.  Since then it has not recorded any new history and the "clear history" tab looks like it is frozen in place.  I have shut down the iPad several times, checked to make sure I have the latest update and read everything I can find about history.  It tells me how to clear history but there is nothing that addresses what to do if it doesn't record history since the last time it was cleared.  Can someone help me please?  Thank you.

    - Resset the iPad. Nothing is lost
Reset iPad: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Do you have Private Browings turned on in Settings>Safari?

  • On my Ipad Mini the history in safari does not work. I have had the Ipad mini for a while but have never looked into it. Is there a way of fixing this?

    Did you enabled Private Browsing?

  • How do I clear the bookmarks and history on safari with ios 7 system?

I'm using safari on my ipad with ios 7.02 operating system.  I've searched for answers in several places but no one seems to know how to clear the bookmarks and history on safari which show up below the address bar when you type in a new website address.  Does anyone know how to clear this out?  I've searched several places and others seem to have the same problem.

Click on the bookmark icon > Edit > Create a New Folder and call it whatever you want then
Settings > Safari > Favorites > select the new empty folder you just created.
    To clear the history:
Settings > Safari > Clear History
    or
In Safari click the bookmark icon > History > Clear

  • Clear Google search history from Safari Toolbar (v.4.0.3 and up)

How to clear your search history. TEDIOUS but works.
*Delete Google results pages from the history*
In Safari 4.0.3 and up, you may now search your history. Search for the URL string www.google.com/search? and delete the records that match it.
*Clear the search strings from the toolbar*
Quit Safari then from the Terminal, run this command:
    defaults delete com.apple.safari RecentSearchStrings
When you start Safari again, the search history should be empty.
Somebody could probably build a shell script that searches the History.plist XML file and deletes the <dict> sections AND resets the Safari plist at the same time. I'm not that good with string manipulation, so I'm hoping somebody with experience could pick this up. Then that shell script could be made into an AppleScript or set up with Automator. Wishful thinking?

  • HT1677 Clear History in Safari

Does clearing the history in Safari have any effect on the speed with which web pages are loaded?

Not so much the history, but clearing cookies and data can help. If you Safari is loading pages slowly try clearing the cookies and data, close Safari and then reboot the iPad. That might help.
To close Safari, tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the Safari icon. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Cleared history in safari but...

I am new to Macs and have a Macbook Pro. I cleared the history in safari but had a friend tell me he could pull the history anyway. And he did. Is it in Safari or the Mac somewhere and how do I delete it? Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
Are you talking about seeing the History in Safari itself, or in Spotlight?
If Spotlight, delete this folder as well:
    Hard drive > Users > YourUsername > Library > Caches > Metadata > Safari

  • In the History function of my Safari (v. 4.1.3) I want to tell at what time

Is there a way to add the time of day a page is opened to the History information?
right now, it just shows Bookmark and Address columns.
this is on my Mac OS 10.4.11
This would be especially helpful for parents, and for folks who need to document internet research. Especially if it can be printed. Right now, I can print by using a screen shot only. Just doesn't show times.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,
    You can provide feedback here.
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/safari.html
You can mail yourself the "contents" of a Safari page. From the Safari menu bar click File / Mail Contents of This Page.
Then print the email out if that helps.
