Printing to A4 Tracing paper on HPt120

When I try to print to A4 tracing paper from the multi sheet tray the printer prints to the left hand side of the page. With exactly the same print setting, if I put A4 plain paper in the multi sheet tray it prints correctly.  Any suggestions?

I failed to crop photo to 4x6. After reading the other 4x6 printing problem posted in this discussion group, I cropped and the print came out OK!

  • HP2015 driver: problem printing on transparent paper in Ubuntu

    Hi.
    Product name: HP2015
    OS: Ubuntu 13.10
Problem: low fuser temperature for transparent paper
    Details:
I am using HP2015 for printing on 90g/m2 transparent paper like this:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canson-Calque-Tracing-Paper-Pads/dp/B00F38Q8CI
Under Windows, with HP Universal Printing PS driver (v5.7.0), i set paper type to cardstock 176-220g and it works fine.
With this paper type the fuser makes enough heat to bake the toner into the surface. All is ok.
The problem is with Ubuntu: I need it to make it working under linux.
I prefer printing from terminal, setting options for printing as command parameters.
To check available printing options I issued:
    $ lpoptions -p HP_Laserjet_P2015 -l
I get a lot of options, icluding this list of paper types:
MediaType/Media Type: Unspecified Plain HPMultipurposePaper HPOfficePaper HPAllinOnePaper HPLJPaper HPPremChoiceLJPaper Preprinted Letterhead Transparency Prepunched Labels Bond Recycled Color Light Heavy90105 *Cardstock106177 Envelope
The problem is that in this list I don't see Cardstock176220 paper type (which worked for me under Windows).
I tried with all paper types: the fuser is not enough hot to bake the toner and the toner is falling off the surface after printing.
Please help. Maybe some other driver exists?
Any solution to raise fuser temp for printing from terminal on transparent paper?
    Thanks in advance,
    Victor

    Hi @RobynIbarra693
Can you scan an example of one of these pictures and post it here so I can see what is happened? I wonder if maybe something else in the settings might need to be tweaked. Are you printing landscape or portrait? What program are you printing from and does this happen when you print form more than one program?
I suggest trying HP Photo Creations. Here is some helpful information to help get you started, HP Photo Creations Software support. The first link is the free download, the second link includes how to information and a getting started guide.

HP5500 60" printer - i need to print architectural sketches on to tracing paper, but tracing paper isn't an option for paper type when loading it. What is the best 'paper type' to select for this medium? Have printed on tracing paper before and the image bled on the paper (didn't stay sharp)

  • Crystal Report Print report on different paper size (A4/Letter)

I develop the crystal report 2008 with VS.net 2008. The report runs on web.
when I preview or debug with VS on my local computer, the crystal report using A4 (8.3 * 11.7 in), Which is correct.
However, after I deploy the program to the server, and try view and print report through IE, the print out is actually using Letter size (8.5 * 11 in).
Both on my local computer and the server, the default printer is set to A4 size. And on the crystal report, in the printer setup, the paper size is A4 as well.
I try on firefox, and safari. No luck. Same as IE.
The crystal report need to print barcode, and the paper size must be A4, cuz the barcode page is designed and printed on A4 Avery Laser Barcode sheet.
I tried on my PC by using remote server data souce, the printing works perfectly in A4 size (8.3"*11.7").
And I don't know why same program after deploy to the server, then it using Letter size (8.5" * 11"), which the size I never set to.
    So strange.
    Thanks

    A few ideas \ suggestions:
    1) Make sure you are using FP 3.3 runtime:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100016807202010E/cr2008fp33_redist.zip
    2) Try a simple win app - use saved data report (crystalreportviewer1.reportsource = <path to saved data report>). Does this print correctly?
    3) What print mode are you using; PDF or ActiveX?
    4) Try export to RPT and PDF from your web app. Does it export correctly?

  • Crystal Report XI Print report on different paper size (A4/Letter)

    Hi,
I have designed report in Crystal XI using paper sieze Letter. Multipler sites are using this application. User in USA are using Letter size paper and User in Euorpe are using A4 size paper. All reports work fine for USA users.
When Eurpoe users print the report on A4 size paper which set in Letter size, the report is truncated from Header or footer. They are printing report from Application and application is set on Citix server.
If Anybody have any idea how to setup Crystal report so it can print on any paper size?
    Thanks
    Bhagvat

    Hi Don,
    Please find the below description.
Background: Crystal Report XI is utilized to develop and view reports with data source from Oracle based LIMS application (Vendor: LabWare). The reports are printed using network printer on US Letter paper for users located in North America and on A4 paper for users located in Europe. The report format is US Letter and designed to print on both paper formats i.e. Letter and A4.
Issue: When reports are printed by users in Europe using A4 format paper the printer defaults to US Letter paper (in printer preferences) resulting to data cut off from top and bottom on the printout.
    1)      When report layout is select to A4 during developing reports using CR, the printing preferences changes to A4 when printed and vice versa for Letter format. How can we avoid CR to enforce from changing printing preferences?
    2)     According to Citrix engineers in the company, the printer drivers installed on Citrix servers have nothing to do with printing preferences and CR defaults to paper size based on report design. What do we tell them about doing different to resolve this issue?
    3)    Even though a printer preference of default printer on local desktop is changed to A4, the report gets printed to Letter format result in data cutoff.  We have tried this option with several HP printers from few different company locations.
    Thanks

  • Officejet Pro 8500A - unable to print on odd-size paper

After a couple of hours of frustration, I have decided that I an unable to print on odd-sized paper on our brand new HP printer!  On an older string in this user forum, one suggestion was to make a paper cut-out from regular sized paper to put on top of an envelope to "fool" the printer into thinking it was using standard sized paper.  I am trying to print odd-sized wedding invitations, and in order to to do this, I wouldn't be able to use the paper guides intended to keep the smaller paper in the middle.
Another suggestion would be to create a "custom size" paper in the printer properties, which doesn't seem to be possible in Windows XP as far as I can see.
    My card-stock paper measures 4 3/4" x 6 7/8"  Neither 5 x 7" nor 4 x 6" will work and I have tried numerous others, such as Janpanese postcard, Index card 4 x 6, etc.
Any suggestions?  This is frustrating enough to look at other namebrand printers next time, but I guess I'm stuck with this one for a while!

    Hello @drlogan0,
    Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that you are encountering problems with getting your Officejet pro 8500A onto your new wireless network.
    I would like to help.
i would try restoring the network defaults. This will help erase any 'old' information that may be stuck in the printers memory. I would like to give you specific steps for this, but I am unsure if you have the 8500A, 8500A wireless, or the 8500A premium.
Basically the steps are, go into the network menu, and select restore network defaults.
If you have tried restoring the network defaults already, please review the following troubleshooting documents.

    Hello @99stonemo99,
    Welcome to the HP forums.

It sounds like you have done all the trouble shooting.

If the printer will still not feed paper, then it is probably time for a new printer.
The Photosmart family of printers is currently being switched over to the ENVY family.
The new printers are also eligible for the Instant Ink program.
    There are about fourteen printers.
Eleven that you can click on to bring up the user manual.
This user manual should tell you if the printer can handle card stock.

Try holding the Option key and selecting Library from the Go menu in the Finder. Then go to the Preferences folder in the window that opens, and locate the file or files that begins with "com.apple.print.custompresets," and move them out of this folder (e.g., to the trash). After this, log out and back in to your account, and then try setting up your preset again.
You might also remove the file "com.apple.print.printingprefs.plist" since this is involved with what presets are picked.

  • How to print the Jtable into paper

im facing a problem which is after i get the data to be dispaly in the jtable but im facing problem of printing the table in paper as a report.. the report must be info about the data in table..thanks

My table has narrow columns resulting in clipping of
text. Is there some way to print the full text in the
columns?I researched Manning's Swing book and found an example of printing the content of JTable without clipping. But alas, my table doesn't fit in a standard 8.5''x11'' paper even in landscape setting. When one looks at Excel's spreadsheet output, the columns can span over multiple pages. I can live with that. Any solutions?

  • Email photo to print out on copy paper - not photo paper

I prefer to take a photo with my iphone, email it to hpeprint and have it print out on copy paper rather than photo paper - Is that possible?
    thank you, stormy2503

    HI stormy2503,
Yes this is possible. You can send the picture to your printer's email address as an attachment. That will allow it to print out on copy paper. If you print it directly from your iPhone it will print out on photo paper.
If I helped you at all it would be great if you clicked the blue kudos star!

  • I am using a Pro 100 printer. I am on a Mac using Adobe Illustrator and printing on A-2 paper.

    Hi Guys -
    I am trying to print on A-2 paper which is 5.5" x 8.5". On a Pro-100
I would like to print my image without any boarders - "edge to edge".
I am using a Mac and I am using Adobe Illustrator CC
It seems that my margins in the pre-set are off  - the preview shows what I am printing, which looks correct - but when it prints the left side is getting cut off. Very strange.I re-set the margines to 0.3 but that gives me a boarder. I tried changing the paper type to boarderless - which changed everything.
    Any adivice would be great.
    Thanks!
