Printing To-do's in Weekly Calendar view

I print out my 5-day calendar each week and would like to include my To-do's in the printout (as they appear on the screen). I select this option in the dialog box, together with mini-months, calendar keys and all-day events. Everything prints but the To-do panel. It seems that the only way to get the To-do's to print is in a list view. Am I missing something? Does anyone else think this is an oversight that should be remedied in future versions?

Interesting that iCal has been forever so needing just some basics. After reading these I note that others have had my frustration. I've tried bunches of calendaring programs. Some I have loved and wish I'd never upgrade to newer verions. Went to the Apple product because I figured surely they had an interest in maintaining a good calendaring product. So it goes.
Anyway, hasn't the to do's been syncing with Mail? I found this one day and have been perplexed ever since. Why the heck would they sync to Mail? Anyway, I think also that it synced to my iPhone at some point in the recent past, however, I just checked and it is no longer there. Weird.
I just figure there is some third party developer that they don't want to abuse so they keep us messed up with to dos
My honest feeling...Apple (and I hope someone is listening) don't just play around with iCal. If you are not going to do it right just bag the whole project. I'll gladly go back to some third party who cares about a calendar and to do app. But just be honest with us. With this new change in iCal are you really gonna develop something worthwhile that works AND syncs seemlessly. I mean that really is what you do best. Shouldn't every computer and iProduct really have a working calendar and to do list? Shouldn't this really be what mobile me is all about?

  • Month and Week Calendar view - does not show events that span days?

In the weekly and monthly calendar views, if you have an event, such as a show or an appointment where you will be out of town for several days, the view will only show the appointment for the first day, and not for the entire event life. For example, in MS Outlook, if you schedule an event that begins on Date 1 and ends of Date 2, spanning several days, the calendar will show the date range as blocked off. Does the calendar in CRM do the same? If so, is this a setup parameter?
Also, with the calendar, is there a way to have the small calendar in the left panel show the days with a scheduled event to be bold or somehow indicate that there is an event on that day?

  • Add an event to weekly calendar view on ios7

the new ios7 on iphone 5 does not seem to allow you to add an event on calendar when in weekly view; in fact, it seems you have to be on monthly view and do a 'search' function just to get on to weekly view (the most useful view); this seems absurd - perhaps I am missing something?
    Thanks, T

I need to know this too

  • MS Project - print formatting in calendar view

    Hi -
I am currently adding multiple subprojects into a master plan.
When in the calendar view before printing all tasks are showing and correct.
Once I go to print the print preview screen is correct.
However once the 1 week calendar view is printed, there are BLANK BOXES appearing in the print-out.
No tasks are taking place during the time where the BLANKS appear.
Is this a glitch in MS Project - calendar view?
    Please help much appreciated.

    Hi Kattie,
I've seen such an issue due to old print drivers. Try to update your drivers and test to see if it helps.

  • Ical weekly calendar

When I try to see the weekly calendar view it dissapears. I t was working correctly but suddendly it stop showing it. Ther monthly and day view are working fine. Only when you hit the week key it doesn't work.

    jclega,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Very often ICal display anomalies can be rectified by refreshing your iCal plist file. This can be accomplished by quitting iCal and dragging the com.apple.iCal.plist file which is located in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder to the Desktop. Then log out/in or restart and check iCal for normal behavior. You can delete the iCal plist file on your Desktop.
    Let us know what happens.

  • Calendar view or filter calendar view

    Hi,
Im preety new to sharepoint and I have a question.
In my work we have 5 departments. These 5 departments will have their own page with their own calendars for planning. However on the main page I want to have one calendar with a weekly calendar view BUT two options (views).
Meetings and Away. This is so every department can plan and write what they want but in an overview on the main page it´s possible to see what meetings are going on and whos in work or not.
I created a calendar on the main page with overlays from the department pages and then I thought it would be possible to create to filtered views in calendar view. But it´s not what I can see, the shortcut that you can find in the list view is not there
so now I´m kind of stuck.
I appreciate any kind of help or ideas.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your answer.
Ok, I understand what you mean.
The problem I get is that I want to put the Calendar on my start page.
But if I create a link to the calendar wiev it takes me to the calendar app with the view I want. Is it possible to change the view and still be in the start page.
In the calendar app its just the calendar right? Not possible to add any links.
I want to avoid to click "back" in IE.
I want it to be like this, one link with In the start page it shows all events. And in the top I have to links, All Events,  Meetings and Away. If click Meetings I want to change the view to the one that just show Meetings and in the top it would still
    be the links.
But when I click a link I come to the calendar app thats kind of ruins it.

  • Printing iCal weekly list view

Experimenting with a trial version of Missing Sync to sync my Palm with iCal. Is it possible to delete the notes that appear under each event when I print the weekly list view? I print out 8 days and I want to keep it to one page. Eliminating the notes would help. Or is it possible to add the time frame to each event in the week view so you can more easily see the begin and end time for each event?
Is the Missing Sync program worth it or should I just use the sync program that came with iCal?

    +1 to it's return.
Seems strange that it's been removed when, with the increased convergence of OS X and iOS, it's a view that available in the Calendar app in iOS.
Like others here, this was the most useful view for me and I'm disappointed it's not there, hope it comes back with the Yosemite .1 release.
    Unfortunately it hasn't .

  • When I print a weekly calendar from Lightning, the title reads "Week 10". Is there a way to change this to my name?

I need a little more formatting flexibility from Lightning. When I print a weekly calendar, the title reads "Week 10" in large bold print. Is there a way to change this to my name? I searched through the entries in the Tools/Calendar/Advanced file, but didn't find what I was looking for.
    Thanks in advance!

guigs2: I appreciate your kind response. But please let me clarify: it's not the calendar's title that I'm trying to change, but the notation of which week of the year the calendar has noted. When printing the weekly task view, the calendar's title is at the top. A subheading is then available to edit as well. But what I'd like to edit is the third heading, which this week reads "Week 10". It's the "Week 10" that I'd like to edit. Is there an entry in a configuration file that I could edit, or ???
Thank you for your time and interest!

  • Not happy with Calendar View - Can we get a weekly view?

There seems to be no in-between for the calendar view. You can look at the monthly view which shows no detail, or you can look at the daily view which gives you only one day. List view skips days where you have no entries. There must be a graphical way to see what you have going on for the week. Anyone have any ideas? Could this be a future plug-in app?

  • Customizing Sharepoint Calendar Week Group View to display multiple weeks in a single row

    Hi,
SharePoint Calendar's Week Group View is useful for comparing multiple co-worker's schedule, and we have a business needs to be able to view the schedule for with the date range of more than one week at a time between co-workers for planning purposes, is
there a way (code or no-code) to manipulate the date/week range so that the calendar display more than 7 days in a single row?

    Hi,
As there is no such OOTB feature, I would suggest that you can change the calendar scope to “Month” or create a Gantt view to display more weeks in a view.
Or you can try to create a custom calendar web part to meet your requirement.
Here are some samples of custom calendar web part for your reference:

  • Why did my calendar view suddenly change? Using iOS 7.1 and I've been using this version for a few weeks with no problem with my calendar. Now the view has changed and I can't view a list mode without seeing the month too

Why did my calendar view suddenly change in iCal? I've been using ios7 fôr a few weeks now with no problems. Suddenly, without any updates or anything, the calendar view changed and I can no longer view it as a list without having the entire month seen as well.

    Hey Gattypyle,
Thanks for the question. You simply need to go back to Day/Week view, then tap the list-view icon once more.

  • ICal printing assistance with irregular weekly calendar

I use iCal for my calendar app and am looking for printing assistance.
My work week is Tuesday through Saturday from 9AM to 6PM each day.  What I am trying to do is find an application that will allow me to print each week on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper where Tuesday through Saturday are shown across the top of the page and the hours from 9AM to 6PM are broken out in 1/2 hour chunks down the left side of the page.  I do not want Sunday or Monday to show on the page as they would consume page real estate.  I would like to print my entire year in advance and use this as a hard copy calendar that will show existing regular appointments while also providing space for me to add new appointments as they come in.
I can't seem to get iCal to print this way.  I am looking for either a new calendar app that will import iCal data and support this print format or a printing app that can work with iCal data that supports the print format that I need.
Any suggestions out there?  I've started looking at a few apps but this isn't the type of functionality that is listed in the program description.

The calendar week view on my iphone 4s starts on a Sunday.  I am synching with outlook on my computer (pc)  which starts the week view on a Monday which I prefer.  How do I change my iphone calendar view to start the week on a Monday?  I am in Australia.
I have just noticed the other discussion points - mine is set to Australia.
Dear Apple - as the day that the week starts on can depend on country and religion - how about making it an option that the user can change????

I believe the week view on the iPhone is handled by the Region settings in the phone. I am not aware of any other manner to change it, as you can with Outlook.

  • Printing daily tasks in the calendar view

How can I print the To Do's /Tasks in the side bar as part of my daily/day view in iCal.
I want to print out the day. And generally that includes my to do's for the day, even if there is not date attached (pick up eggs, etc ).
Yes, some how, miraculously, it's missing.
I've gone to the print setting and ticked off ' print to do's' in the calendar, but they don't
I would like something that would, uh, print what i see, i.e., my day and the to do's along side of it. How is it that this seemingly simple feature is so overlooked? Or am i missing something basic. Could be!
    thanks
    Morley.

I felt the same as you...looked around for ages to see I was missing something, then I came here and found solace in the disappointment others regarding precisely the same issues.
One way around it is to print in LIST view.  You will get the Events in the Calendar listed in chronological order but you won't see the entire day laid out from start to finish (a bit of a pain).  The TO DO's will be listed but, whaddaya know, they no longer are grouped by calendar.  At least the Events aren't duplicated.
Seems Apple has dropped the ball AGAIN on the simplest of tasks.
BusyCal is the only app that I've found that is decent in dealing with these issues, but I refuse to pay $49.99 for basically one or two simple tasks that iCal should perform.
