Printing to multi purpose tray from on Canon ImageRunner C5045

I am having a problem printing to the multi purpose tray on my work printer.
I've been able to print sucessfully to the multipurpose tray when I print from mail, or any other non-adobe application.
However, it does not work in Illustrator cc/indesign/etc.
I have gone through all the steps to select the correct paper feed options (file > print > setup > paper feed > all pages from > multipurpose tray.)
I then tell my printer which paper I am using.
It still does not recognize.
Any thoughts appreciated.

To print to Mailbox, you need to ensure you are using the Canon PS Driver for OS X, preferably v1.70 or later. There is also a Canon UFR2 driver for OS X, but it is not available to all models of imageRUNNER.
With the correct driver installed, when you select to print from an application, change the Copies and Pages menu to Special Features. Here there is an option called Job Processing and in this menu you have the options of Print, Store, Secured Print and Promote Print. To print to mailbox, select the Store option. Then when you press Print the window letting you select the Mailbox number and enter the file name will appear.
If you don't have the Special Features tab but have installed the PS driver v1.70 or later, then something has gone wrong with the installation and the driver will need to be installed again. Please reply if you need help with this.

  • Selecting Paper for the Multi-purpose Tray - Canon imageCLASS MF6160dw

I set the default paper for the Multi-purpose Tray of my Canon imageCLASS MF6160dw to be legal paper.
When I want to print envelopes or labels, can I change to that respective paper from my computer OR must I do it from the panel on the printer?
It sure seems like I have to constantly get up & change something on the panel on the printer that I should be able to do from my computer.
If I can do it from my computer, please list the steps on how I would do that.

  • Hi - new to the forum. I am unable to get the true colour printing I am used to from my Canon Pixma 9500 mk2 since moving to a mac and using Aperture. The colours are simply not representative of the on-screen image. Any ideas?

Whatever I do with installing or de-installing printer drivers, selecting or deselecting colour synch or colour management options, the colour is simply awful compared to what I have been used to fir years, using the same printer with a pc and a 10 yeart old version of paintshop Pro. What is going on!??

First guess is that you are subjecting the data to two passes of printing conversions.  If you use Aperture's color management for printing, you _must_ disable the color controls in your printer dialog.
How this is done varies for each printer.  (The Aperture User Manual says, in full:
To turn off color management for your printer
Refer to the owner’s manual that came with your printer.
Additionally, make sure you have the most recent printer driver for your printer and OS.  Printer makers have gotten good at making these files easy to get.  Most now come with installation instructions.
Lastly, the only way to ensure that you get a good screen-to-print match is to use a hardware device to calibrate your monitor.  That doesn't seem to be your problem, though.

  • I am trying to scan a legal size document from my Canon printer onto my MacBookPro. It scans the document as a letter size.

I am having trouble scanning a legal size document from my Canon printer onto my MacBookPro. I have set the printer paper size option to legal size on my printer. The scanned document comes through as a letter size document after scanning. I do not see an option in iPhoto to change the paper size.
    Can anyone advise?
    Thanks.

Experience has taught me that it pays to be very precise and specific when dealing with computers. Precisely and specifically, what you describe is impossible. It is impossible to scan a document (of any size) with a printer.
I surmise that you are using an all-in-one, ie, an apparatus which combines a printer, a scanner, and sometimes a fax machine, in the same device. That takes us to the next step -- the page size set for printing is used for printing -- it has nothing to do with scanning. It may be possible that Canon provides software which synchronises page sizes used for printing and for scanning, but we don't know what applications and drivers you are using…

Hold down the option key and select
     ▹ System Information...
from the menu bar. In the window that opens, select
    Hardware ▹ USB
from the list on the left. On the right you should now see a list of all connected USB devices, as well as some built-in components. Is the device shown?

  • Acrobat Pro 9.0 printing to Canon ImageRunner 3220 prints only first page of multi-page documents?

We just got the new CS4 and with the Acrobat Pro 9.0 install, we cannot seem to print multi-page documents.  Only the first page comes through, and the queue clears as though the document's been fully printed.
We are running Windows XP Pro SP3, and the printer is the Canon ImageRunner irC3220.
I do not want to use the "Print as Image" option, as I don't want to rasterize the file before sending it to the printer. It's an important document and it's imperative that it is printed at high quality.
We had no problems printing with Acrobat 8.
I've seen old posts regarding this issue, but couldn't find anything newer that might have had an updated solution.
Thank you in advance!! any help would be sooo appreciated right now!

    Great! Many thanks
Is there actually a kind of marketplace for Javascipts for Adobe Acrobat Pro somewhere? ...

  • Hot to Print 3 copies of Invoice in separate trays from HP Laserjet Printer

My Customer needs to print three copies of the Invoice in different color paper. The paper is loaded in the three trays in the printer and we need to tell the printer from Business One to send the three copies, one for each tray.
The printer is HP Laserjet P4015 tn.
    Many thanks...

    Mauricio
it is not possible to send print to three different tray , current limitations in printer setup can only select which printer the data must be sent we cannot direct 3 pages to three different tray
but you can have solution like
    1) arrange the invoice paper such that each color is kept next (eg blue-pink-green again blue-pink-green and blue-pink-green...)
2)check with printer vendor for any such setting in printer so that you can send each page to different tray
    Hope this helps
    Thanks

  • Has anyone ever got correct prints from the Canon CP series?

CP-220 printer. Prints fine right from my Canon camera, but from iPhoto, I never get borderless, centered prints. This is a 4x6 dye-sub printer. So after wrangling with all the settings in the page setup, print boxes, etc., the prints still don't fill the print area.
Before I give up and just go back to sending the photos back to the camera to print (yuck...), I was looking for someone to say "yes! it does work" or "no way, don't waste your time..."
    thanks

Interesting read. I went to download the latest drivers from canon, and they are stuffed using a OS9-era Stuffit program. I had to find a mac with OS9 on it just to un-stuff the "OSX only" drivers! Nice Canon!
anyway. I will try loading them in. The main issue I decided is in fact that the photos are not the exact 4x6 proporation, so iPhoto is just centering on the page the best it can. I read the posts about cropping them in iPhoto, but that seems real lame. From the camera, I can actually move the crop box up or down, or side to side to fill the print with what I want.
So, not thrilled with that. iPhoto should have the most robust printer support to be truly a great program. So, I'm pretty sure I'm still back at square one.
    thanks for the link though.

  • Dynamically switch printer tray from concurrent program in Oracle Apps 11i

    Hi All,
We have a requirement to dynamically switch printer tray from concurrent program .
In the application we had a printer "*Printer1*" defined ,the printer (physical) printer have two trays and it always pick paper from Lower tray
To test the functionality I created one more defination " *Printer2*" in the application .
For this second printer created one more PPd files Printer2PPD2 . In this Printer2PPD2 the value of DefaultInputSlot i gave as Upper,so that printer will pick paper from upper tray
As we are having the PASTA configuration hence in the "uiprint.txt" entered the definations for Printer2 and also mentioned the PPD file.
So in the concurrent program i selected Printer2 and executed the program. But instead of picking from upper tray it picked from lower tray.
I could know this because in upper tray I had counted the number of papers so if the paper would have been picked ,the count would have reduced by 1.
Please let me know the solution for this issue.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Print to different tray from Oracle Financials

Is there anyway I can setup Oracle Financials so it prints by default to tray 2 on a specific printer instead of tray 1? The printer is setup for legal paper on tray 1 and is used that way the majority of the time. However, a user has a need to print to this printer with very large reports from within Oracle Financials that are not legal sized.
    We are using 11.5.10.2

  • Printing to multiple trays from an Adobe form

    Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to create a button on an Adobe Form that will send a print job to multiple trays? We have several Adobe forms that need to be printed in triplicate on different coloured paper. Ideally we'd like a button on the Adobe form that will send the print job to all 3 printer trays.
Apologies if this is a basic question, hope someone can help.
    Thanks.

Ok thanks, that's beyond my skill set unfortunately! I was hoping it might possible in similar way that macros are used in Word/Excel.
    Thanks anyway.

  • Can't scan to Mac OS 10.6.4 from Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7055 - HELP!

Hi all, our company just purchased a Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7055, I have the Drivers and all the Macs in the office (both 10.4.11 and 10.6.4) can print to the printer but when we try and connect via the Scanning feature from the Canon to the Mac OS 10.6.4 it doesn't work. All the File and Screen Sharing is On but it just doesn't see the Macs with OS 10.6.4 for the purpose of scanning to them (they can print to it however).
The Canon manual naturally has nothing on this problem so I'm hoping someone has encountered the same problem or is smart enough to work out what is going wrong from my post.
    Thanks in advance

Nevermind it was an issue with not having the SMB switched on in the File Sharing options.

  • Printing 4 x 6 photos from an HP Photosmart Printer

Help - I cannot figure out how to print 4 x 6 photos from my HP printer. I've set up a 4 x 6 option in the page setup but when I go to print my printer tells me to disengage the photo tray (which is what I want to use). Also, how come the resolultion is so bad when I do print to my HP printer. When I insert the memory chip directly into the printer the pictures turn out great, but when I print from Iphoto they look terrible.

    Hello John,
I don't have any HP, I use Canon, but if I give you the steps I need to take from iPhoto 09 to print borderless 4 x 6, then you may be able to apply this to your friends printer.
In the iPhoto 09 print dialog, I need to select:
    Printer: Canon MP980
    Presets: Photo on Photo Paper
    Paper Size: 4"x6" (borderless)
    Print Size: Borderless
Now when you press Print, the print dialog will appear. Here I have to select Presets again and set to Photo on Photo Paper. I then change the iPhoto menu to the Canon quality menus to set additional information about the image quality. Now it is ready to print.
