Printing Troubles on Macbook Pro
A month ago, I did not know what happened to my macbook Pro printing system. Whenever I wanted to print a PDF in black color only, there would be a supporting code appeared: 91 The following ink cartridge will be used for the specified printing. "Color" Select [Color Only] or [Both Black and Color] in the Ink Cartridge Settings panel of the Utility and print again. Then I did what it asked me to do, and the printer printed my document out. However, the words from the printed document is in grey color instead of black. I thought it was a problem of my printer [Canon MG2120] but it turns out my printer functions well when connected to other's macbook or laptop. They could print normally without any troubles. I have tried to print PDF on other printers and it did not work well too. Since I can't stand the problem anymore, as I need to print lots of hand outs for classes weekly, I reinstalled my macbook pro once and try to see if everything reset to default would solve the problem. Yes, it did go back to normal for few days that I can print PDF documents normally, but troubles start again. I am wondering what happened to my macbook pro.

Hi all,
I'm having a frustrating problem trying to set up the wireless printing between my Macbook Pro 13" to my HP C4780 printer. I had no problem installing and configuring this before on my previous computer, a Macbook. However, when I got my new computer (the Macbook Pro), my wireless network wont show up when I try and install the wireless capability during the printer setup. I had to buy a new router and set up a new network around the time I got my new computer, so I wonder if this has something to do with it. My wireless network is a WPA/WPA2 personal, but so was my old wireless network with the old router and I didn't have a problem installing the wireless. I thought I might not have had the most up-to-date driver for the printer software, but I do. So, i'm stuck! Any thoughts??Go here and download all the manuals and read them on how to set up your printer.

Welcome to Apple's discussion groups.
What's the rest of that error message? Posting what you did is similar to posting as an error message the text "I'm having trouble with ..." with nothing following.
I'd try several things until things work:
1) Open the Print & Fax panel of System Preferences. Right-click on a printer entry and choose "Reset printing system".
2) Delete the entry for your printer, then add it back.
3) Check the Epson Web site for a recent driver for your printer. Download it, then first run it in "uninstall" move, then in "install" mode.
I'll be personally interested in what you learn. I have a relative who has an RX620 and 10.6.4, but I'm not sure he's tried to print anything yet. -

But it's on the PC right ? So it's a shared network printer with a Spooler (this is how it should be configured using Prnter Setup Utility ...)

Hi can anyone help me? I am having trouble printing from my macbook pro to my brother printer. It worked fine yesterday but now its dissapeared from my options to print.

If your printer is like my Canon printer, you'll have to do as Bob suggests - use the Setup on the LCD panel of your printer to set up wifi. Pretty easy with my Canon PIXMA MG8220...

How do you setup a canon mp620 to print from a Macbook Pro?
How can i print from my MacBook Pro with a canon mp620 printer? I have the printer setup with a PC via USB and want to add the MacBook as a new computer and print wirelessly. I have tried the installation cd and updated drivers from canon website but it still wont work.
I have managed to get my working. Firstly, I googled the CUPS drivers for the printer and then downloaded those from canons website. I then went to print and scan in system preferences and noticed that the printer had appeared there. I believe it was those drivers that made the difference but i was fiddling for hours before that so i cant be 100% sure how i got it to work.

How do I use AirPort Extreme to be able print from my MacBook Pro AND a PC. If I connect printer into AirPort, I can only print on laptop. If printer is connected to PC hard drive, I can only print on desk top. How do I configure this to make both print?

I can print from my macbook pro using airport express usb connected printer, however my iPad and iphone are looking for an airprint printer. Can I direct the iPad/iphone to the usb connected printer. Macbook iphone and iPad confirm a wifi connection through the airport express.
You will need to install an App like Print Central on the iPad to try to print to the printer. It will allow you to print to most printers. Check with their support folks if you need more info.

I am glad that you are using an Hp ePrint printer, B210a.
I would suggest you to check the print center on your iPad and cancel jobs in the print center and then try.
You can follow the step bleow in order to cancel jobs on the iPad.
Click on the home key 2times.
It will bring up the apps you visited and it should also show print center.
Click on the print center and cancel the first job or all the jobs.
Then try printing from the iPad.

I am trying to add a wireless printer to my MacBook Pro. It was working properly until we had to get a new modem. I have gone through the steps with the printer customer service rep, and it was working properly for one day. When I booted up the next morning, the printer was no longer "connected". It will work if I have the printer and computer connected, but I much prefer the wireless capability. Suggestions? The printer is a Brother MFC7860DW. The other laptop in the house (Dell) can print wirelessly so I don't think it's an issue with the modem or the printer.

I just installed CC Cleaner and ran the program to clean up some files. Since doing so I can no longer print to my Epson PX800FW. I am afraid that an important file might have been deleted. I ve tried to reinstall the program / printer on my MacBook Pro but it is not working - the computer will not install the program. Can someone help please? ThanksUninstall CC Cleaner. Go to the developers web site and get uninstaller instructions. That may be your problem.
Do not use ANY so called 'performance enhancing' or 'cleaning' applications in your MBP. They are unnecessary and many create unanticipated needless problems.
