Printing two lines of text in Print Module

Is it possible to print two, or more lines of text, say on a contact sheet, such as filename and caption. If so, how?

Lightroom automatically wraps text under the thumbnail in contact sheets. The Text Template Editor does not allow you to enter line breaks. So, if your Filename is long enough to fill the first line, the caption will start with the second. If not, you can tweak the template somehow so that it looks the way you want.

Pixma MX882 When printing from computer or copying it prints two lines perfect, then the third line is not clear. Problem in line items(text elements printing) in smartform

Hi all
Here iam printing line item data in invoice form
around 7 fields(text elements) iam having the fileds are displaying one by one
I need to diplay all 7 fields one after another with some gaps in the same line
can u please let me know how to do it with text elements

create a table. In once line type(Line type 1) create 7 different cells (Columns) for a single row.
For eg:
Line typ1 : cell1 cell2 cell3 cell4 cell5 cell6 cell 7.
cell1 : &mara-matnr&
cell2 : &mara-ersda&.
like soon in 7 different cells.

It is giving output as :

Your two synchronizations should be on a same object for the wait/notify pair to be working. The object should be the one on which both wait and notify are called.

8500A Plus prints two sided. Each side prints to edge so neither will align with each other

What setting could I be overlooking?
I have a 8500A Plus with the Two-sided Printing Accessory installed. I'm using it as a wireless printer from a Macbook Pro, using ADOBE Acrobat 9, both 100% and fit to page have an alignment issue.
I want to print a two sided document, one page per side, orientation landscape, both sides same size, align on both sides center (or at least align back-to-back). But whatever I try, it gets printed "binding top" which renders the header on one side back-to-back with the footer on the other side.
This is important to my production as a graphic designer. Please help.

P3005 prints two letters top left before print job- Help Pls.

It just started doing it and it doesn't happen all the time either. It's very frustrating when I am printing cheques and the first cheque gets used with just two letters in the top left and then the actual print job starts with the second cheque.
I've tried uninstalling the printer and re-installing it but that doesn't help. It's not consistant either.
It also has started happening on another co-workers printer a HP 4250. These printers are not networked and are hooked up to our PC's (Windows XP).
I am the tech guy for our hotel but not a professional and I can't figure it out. No settings have been changed.

You can have the msgsend calss as an utility class
with out a main method. Change the main method to
some other name like sendMessage.
import that class in your servlet email2.
If msgsend is in a package, you can do import somepackage.msgsend
msgsend emailMes =new msgsend(filename);
then,
emailMes.sendMessage();

Hello all, How do I enter two lines of texts from a excel cell to a illustrator text frame?

Problem is , if I have a text in excel column as " line1 'alt ENTER' line 2 " and if I read this text using VBAscript and write it back to illustrator, it appears continuously like "Line1Line2" the line break does not happen.

First PNG shows the Excel column entry and the second shows the output u got in Illustrator and the third shows the script I am using to do this read from excel and write to illustrator.

I don't understand your question, here's a sample on a way to enter 2 lines in illustrator, it has nothing to do with excel, you have to adapt it

Adding text in Print module

LR3.2 on Win7 64-bit
I wanted to add two lines of text under a photo placed in a template that starts with no text. I followed steps for this exact task in Kelby's book on LR3 (p.340) and it *seemed* LR3 was acting differently than demonstrated/described there. Perhaps something anticipated during development did not make it to the RTM versions...
I turned on Identity Plate with a checkbox in the Page module but found I could not add anything on a second line. I had controls for size, font, and color. Size changes chosen in the drop down made no difference to the previewed text size, but I could resize the text box using handles. I could not force the cursor any further into the line in the characters box than those characters seen in the window offered in the control, therefore everything had to be typed into a choice of very small font size - to be resized later.
So I never got that second line.
Is there a better way to do this without going over to Photoshop?

Thanks, Sean. This isn't the only place I've seen a difference and I wonder if anyone has ever seen a list of those differences. I wasted some time trying this again and again. Kelby usually points out the divergent UI elements. I bet he didn't know.
No combination (that made any sense) created a second line in my Win7 version, and the inability to format the whole string by cursor highlighting control was a real problem. Looks like the graphic identity plate is the only way to go.
I will ask a separate question/discussion about the other difference I want to investigate.

HT3669 Latest Mac OS Update Driver for Canon 9500 Pro causes text lines all to be printed over the first letter of the line?

Anyone know how I can 'fix' the Mac OS printer driver for the Canon 9500 Pro - all my text lines end up with the whole line being printed over the first character of the line of text when printing PDFs. It has ruined a lot of work.

I'd try this:
Delete the current printer (reset the print system) Mac OS X: How to reset the printing system
Delete all other Canon software and utilities from your computer.
Do a factory reset on your printer
Use Software Update to download the driver from Apple.
Don't reinstall any other Canon Utilities.
Make sure you don't have something mechanical stopping the paper from advancing.
If the problem is really the driver, then you could look in Gutenprint for a different driver. Gutenprint for Mac OS X

Deskjet 5525 printing random characters, one line per page when printing both sides of page

Hi. I have a deskjet 5525 wireless all in one printer.
I have installed all of the necessary hardware and have updated it. We have two computers running windows 7, 64 bit. I have not been able to update the firmware on the printer because the HP Device Updater program that does it cannot communicate with the printer via usb cable or wireless on two different computers I have tried.
When trying to print two sided documents, it will print ok for about two pages, but then, it will start printing on line per page of random characters, blurred lines of text, gargabe basically.
This is the second printer as the vendor replace the first one with the same problem. You would say, oh a software problem, but I have reinstalled the HP Deskjet 5520 series SW a couple of times, reinstalled the printer, but the problem continues.
An old HP deskjet 3845 worked for us pretty well on the same computers.
Please help.

I would like to help with the garbled text you are experiencing. I have found a great document for you to use and I can also help you with the firmware update.
Troubleshoot text that might be gibberish, nonsense, or look garbled or scrambled
In order to update the firmware on your printer ensure the printer is on the wireless network and touch the Web Services icon (this icon is the 1st of the 4 that run across the top of the front panel - looks like 2 little cell phones). Scroll through the Web Services menu, find and select Product Updates, select Check for Product Updates.
If the printer is already up to date the front panel will say so, if it is not, the download and install will begin. It is possible you were unable to do the update form the computer because the printer does not need an update. The HP Device Updater will only see a printer that requires the update.

Printing blank line

Hi,
I am developing one report, its having three repeating frame ie; Department, category and Item. First page its printing properly, in second page onwards after printing heading its printing two line gap ie; The space of tow group headings.
The following are the details
Frame properties (All the three frames)

Print object on - First Page
Base printing on - Enclosing object
Fields properties (All ithe items)

it might be happen that ur 2nd or 1st frame is repeat with no data
that's why the two line will be blank
another posibility is that u hve given two blank line in ur report section that effect on ur sencond page

Some text is printing as boxes

I am trying to print a document that has text box comments in it. When I print a hard copy to our Konica Minolta C652 printer, some of the text boxes print out with the individual characters as boxes. The document is 5 pages and we are printing 2-sided. When I print an individual page that has the problematic text on it, the text prints out correctly.
We have used the text boxes to comment in multple documents. This is the first time we have had a problem. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what may be causing this printing problem or a possible solution? Do you think it may be an isolated incident and the document has become corrupt at some point?

It is showing an X in the icon column for the WERKS field. How do I remove that?

Can someone explain to me what are the benefits of compound path when it comes to text? I can understand one or two lines but a whole paragraph?

Every year we do a fundraiser to help my job, but my co-worker is getting frustrated. We receive outside files laid out in Illustrator, but the person who does the file sets all of the text using compound path. These aren't one or two lines of text to be manipulated but whole paragraphs of text. This person does this every year, and it is time consuming if my co-worker can't manipulate a paragraph without going to each individual layer that has a letter. Is there a way to make these compound paths merge as one without altering the document i.e. make some element disappear. Any kind of help is appreciated.

As I (mis)understand it, you should simply ask this outside person to keep all text as Live Type, using a font that you have on your machines (in the exact same version) so there will be no font substitution issue(s).
That way, you could get the job done without silly waste of time.
Failing to comply would seem quite uncooperative.
I presume there is no copyright question onvolved in this.

Print Web report and don't print text but print frames

Hello , I am running a report by web browser, everything is ok and I can see that, now I want to print it so I put DESTYPE = printer and DESNAME =\\machine\printer then, when I print the report there is no mistakes but I dont know why I get a page without any character .. The frames print ok! all print ok but not the text, I test using diferent colors for the text but nothing .. could you help me please? this is really strange :( there is no message of error.

I have a very simple report that works fine
for example if I put this link:
