Printing via any software,image off-center

HP F2180 ALL-In-One
windows 7
drivers updated for win 7
my problem is when i try to print , my image gets aligned on left and get cuts off while printing on 8.5 x 11 paper, even the preview shows cut off image, if i choose a different printer than Hp like Adobe PDF printer , e.t.c the preview is perfect,
, i updated my driver for win 7 but no matter what i do it just dosent work! this same alignment problem occurs even in win xp , even though auto rotate and center is clicked , if i click "fit to scalable media" then it gets within paper but the image size is not what i want like (2 5x7 frames on 1 8.5 x 11 paper) even choosing layout as landscape doe snot fix this ,no matter what program i choose to print, acrobat, word, photoshop or illustartor the alignment problem is still there.
i tried sending these files to my 2 differnet friends, the one with hp all in one had teh same problem, and the one with other printer, teh image printed perfectly in center!

Hp-printer
and this is the non -hp selected preview
can anyone help me fix this at all, much much appreciated

  • Deskjet 5740 won't scale to fit page; image off-center

I am using HP DJ 5740 over network via Airport Express. Driver is "HP5700 Series, v3.1.1" Neither of my Macs can correctly scale an oversized document to fit the page -- the command seems to be ignored, the preview picture never changes, the result is cropped off. The image looks off-center -- 7/8" on left, 1/8" on right, 5/8" on bottom (for page printed from Safari, ie no Word margins involved). And (for example) if I print a calendar month from iCal, the image is clipped on the left/bottom.
None of these symptoms occur when I print to the same printer from the Windows XP laptops on the same network. Ideas?

Another tack that you may think worth trying: define a custom paper size that’s actually the standard letter size in dimensions but has zero (or very small) margins: you can save it as "Letter Borderless" or something. Then choose that size for your page setup. This might help convince Preview (or whatever other app) not to crop the image.
What format is the scanned file in? What does Preview’s Get Info say about its dimensions? It may be that the headers specifying the sample density are missing or malformed, because in theory an actual-size scan should print at actual size without using a fit-to-page option. If you find you need to resize the image, try and do so without resampling (that is, just change the nominal resolution).

  • Can't print via Photoshop ?

I had to change my printer and now I cannot print anything via Photoshop Elements 9 or Lightroom 4 The printer goes into action but always delivers a blank page.
As I can print via other software I now realise there is a technical hitch here! If anyone has had this problem please can you enlighten me on how to resolve! The printer is  a Canon iX6550 and I am using a Mac
    From The Air is Blue.....

    Vicki,
As you have Photoshop Elements (and Lightroom), and have posted to the Photoshop Forum (Photoshop Elements' "big-brother"), I will Move your post to the Photoshop Elements Forum, which is very active and helpful. Your link and any e-mail notifications will follow along.
Also, I would check your Canon's printer driver. Some programs are less sensitive to the driver version, so they might work OK, where PsE does not.
    Good luck,

  • Macbook Pro to TV via HDMI - image way off center

Early 2008 15-inch Macbook Pro to TV via HDMI worked at first, now image is way off center on TV (like only showing a sliver of the computer image at the edge of the TV screen). Philips says it's an issue with the computer settings, not the TV. Any suggestions?

    Hello clamb1993,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Any way to print off-center?

Since Aperture centers the image on the paper, not within the printer's usable print area, it won't produce a 12x18 print on 13x19 paper on my Epson 4000, because the 4000 has a minimum bottom margin of 0.556". Aperture sets that as the minimum margin on all sides and so prints only 17.88" wide. In Photoshop, I can center the 12x18 image in the printable area, which is more than 18" (19" - 0.556" bottom margin - 0.13" top margin = 18.314"), and I get a full 12x18 image printed off-center on the paper. Aperture does not seem to provide a way to do this - it insists on centering on the paper.
    Anyone know of a workaround?

Thanks for actually addressing the question. Yes, I have set Custom Layout to 12x18, but I cannot set the border to zero - it is automatically set to a minimum of 0.556" and cannot be reduced. I tried setting a custom paper size of 13x18.5 and was able to set the border to 0.25". My thinking was that this would trick the printer into printing closer to the leading edge of the paper, where the printer's margin is smaller (0.13"). Unfortunately, when I did this, the printer kept giving me "incorrect paper size" errors and refusing to print. The 4000 can print borderless only at the long edges of the paper, not at the leading and trailing edges.
I recall that my Epson 2200 had the same margin issues, but it was possible to override the printer's defaults by using a "borderless" paper setting. With the 4000, this seems not to be possible.
As for color, I am very familiar with color management. I let the app manage color, selected the Ilford profile, perceptual rendering, black point compensation, set print rez at 1440, selected the appropriate media, and turned off color management in the driver. I even tried using absolute rendering, figuring this might lock down the neutrality of the b&w, but no. CS3 still rendered skies ever so slightly cyan, where Aperture was more consistent across the tonal range.
Ultimately, I used QuadTone RIP, a lovely little $50 shareware RIP dedicated to B&W printing. Despite the name, it also works with color inks. Does a terrific job. In daylight, my Aperture/Epson driver prints look very neutral. But, under artificial light, I see a slight reddish cast in midtones. Prints made with QTR are neutral under any light and do not suffer from metamerism.
    ...'Case anyone's interested.

right click a blank area of the toolbar, click Customize. You'll see the printer icon there. Drag and drop it to where you want.
You can also find this option under View -> Toolbars -> Customize.

  • Ordered prints. Several were cut off at edges or were printed off center. How do I prevent this in the future?

Ordered prints from my Mac library to Apple. Several came back cut off or printed off-center. How do I prevent this in the future?

How do I prevent this in the future?
Before ordering any print product proof it by creating a PDF file of it according to this Apple document:    iPhoto, Aperture: Previewing an order in iPhoto or Aperture.  Save the PDF file to compare with the printed copy when it arrives.
For this book contact Apple via the 800-275-2273 phone number. Apple has been very good a correcting problems.  They gave me a refund so I could order again.

  • Epson 4000 prints off center

Using any of several applications (Aperture, Photoshop, Lightroom) my Epson 4000 is printing off center since upgrading to 10.5.4. I have checked all printer settings, reloaded the latest drivers and I have the latest firmware. If I make the border too small, it cuts off part of the image and prints the cutoff portion on a second sheet. The local service center said it is a Leopard issue. Does anyone have a suggestion or a solution?
    Thanks
    Peter

A4 on a lot of Epsons has a margin on one side. On my the 1290 the minimum is 14.4mm so I set all the sides to 15mm and use zoom to fill to give an even border. I'll also saved my main paper types in presets by saving as Standard.

  • HP5250 Printable CDs Print Off Center

Using the printable CD feature, I find the image placement prints off center. At first they were slightly off to the left which was no big deal. But the last few I printed came out noticeably shifted toward the bottom leaving a sliver of white at the top.
Is there a way to realign the CD print tray?
Also, is there a way to print right to the outer edge and center hole without having an unprinted border?
I use Roxio Express Labeler that came with the printer.
    Thanks!

  • Open Dialog Box file preview displays the images out of view or off center

This is a relatively new problem and I cannot figure it out! When I go to open a file through Illustrator (using column preview) normally off to the right side there is a preview of the file. However now I can only see a tiny portion of the image like it's off center or something (see the far right side of the picture below. What is even more strange is when I open a file in Finder, the preview is normal. Any ideas on what it could be??
    Thanks!

this is the only common factor, so we can only assume this is the case. there is no other information on this as far as I know.

  • LaserJet Pro MFP M276nw software installer not detecting printer via USB or wi-fi - Windows 7

I am trying to install a LaserJet Pro MFP M276nw on Windows 7 Home Premium x64, and I know the printer functions fine, as I have installed it on both Windows Vista Basic x32 and Windows 7 Professional x64 all on the same desktop. The operating system has been changed a couple of times, hence the multiple installs.
I downloaded the full featured software from HP.com and went through the routine of installation as per usual, except that now the software doesn't detect the printer when it requests that I connect it via USB.  Trying to install via wi-fi doesn't work because the printer still needs to be attached via USB in order to create the proper wireless handshake.  Windows 7 detects the printer, and in-fact installed the drivers for it automatically.  However, the printer installation software suite does not respond to the printer being connected, and just hangs there, waiting for it to appear.
I have tried multiple USB ports and it's the same issue.  I've installed the basic driver also available for download on HP.com, but that software does not appear to include an option for scanning files to the computer.  The printer itself will scan to email or to to a USB thumb drive, and even to a network folder, but not directly onto the computer.  If it wasn't a necessary function of an all-in-one printer, I wouldn't bother with the scanning feature and simply make do with the basic printer driver.
Anyone have some sort of idea regarding this issue?

    Hi @KP_ ,
I see that you are having issues with setting up the printer on the one computer. I would like to help you out today.
I would uninstall the software, turn off the Startup programs, Antivirus software and update the driver during the install by the post I have provided.
    Disconnect the USB cable.
    Uninstall the software.
Here are the steps to run the uninstall from the computer or the CD.
    To uninstall from program files:
Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window.
    Select the C drive.
Select program files or program files x86.
Open the HP and printer name folder.
    Select uninstall.
Uninstall the software from the CD:
Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window. Right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
I would disable all the start up programs and temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software to see if there is a program interfering in the back ground. How to use MSCONFIG . Click on the start up tab and click disable all.
Download, save and then run the latest drivers. Don't Connect the USB cable until prompted during the install.
HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver.
Right after connecting the USB cable, follow this document immediately. A Fatal Error Displays During Software Installation. Disregard the title. If the printer stays listed properly, don't worry about updating the driver.
    Test the printer.
Then you will have to go back and enable the Startup programs and turn the Antivirus Software back on again.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Have a great day!
    Thank You.

  • Lightroom printing is off center

Hello all,  I just replaced my home computer after it got fried from an electrical surge.  While I was at it, I moved from a PC with XP to a Mac Pro with Snow Leopard.  I had to transfer my Adobe License for Photoshop too and moved to CS5.  The move has been great so far,  but when I print out of Lightroom 2.7 with my Epson 3800 my prints are either off center or off the page.  Printing with my previous PC setup was perfect and now I am totally baffled.  I am in a bit of a time crunch too,  as I need to get a photo shoot printed and delivered to a client.  I even thought about dowloading the Lightroom 3 Beta to see if this would give me a temporary solution.  Any one have any ideas?  I have been searching the web for a few days looking  for a solution and my tech person is baffled too.
    Many Thanks,
    J. Paul

Make sure to visit the Page Setup dialog and select your printer model (3800) from the "Format For" popup menu, and the page size from the "Paper Size" popup menu:
    See suggested steps here:
    http://people.csail.mit.edu/ericchan/dp/Epson3800/printworkflow.html#lightroom
    and

Then set the margins appropriately in LR's Layout tab.

  • Why is my PDF printing off center when I have the landscape box checked?

I am having some trouble with printing my pdf's. I have several PDF's that are oriented in landscape orientation. In the past, they printed normally in landscape mode or autoportrait/landscape mode. Now they print fine in autoportrait/landscape mode, but print off center when printed in landscape mode. The reason this is a problem, is I have given instructions to 100's of my buyers for printing in "landscape mode"....have heard from one buyer already today with this printing problem. I  was then able to reproduce the problem on my own printer.  Is this a recent Adobe update and if so will it be fixed any time soon? Or is there something I have unknowingly done to my printer setting and this buyer has done the same? Thank you in advance for your help.

This is happening when I have the "actual size" box checked  (the scaling box is not checked). Also, the printable area is centered on the page in the original documents. I have printed all of these pdf's in the past with the landscape box checked and have never had this happen.

  • Just installed the latest Canon printer software update (V 3.2) from the App store. Canon Pixma MX850 will not print. Dialog says job stopped at the server - no pages found. Utilities, print test page works. Printing via Airport.

Just installed the latest Canon printer software update (V 3.2) suggested by the App store in effort to get printer working after OS update. Canon Pixma MX850 will not print. Dialog says job stopped at the server - no pages found. Utilities, print test page works. Attempting to print via Airport from a MacBook Pro. Also from a Mac Pro via ethernet. Both worked before updating to Yosemite. Canon Pro 9000 Mk 2 works via USB. Tried installing driver 10.84 from OS 10.9 as suggested by PAHU; no luck.

The "stopped at server - no pages found" message would suggest an image with the print file that is created by the printer driver on the MacBook Pro. But if the Mac Pro is getting the same message then that is unusual.
To rule out a couple of causes I would try connecting the MacBook Pro directly to the MX850 by USB cable. This action should result in a new printer for the USB connection being created automatically. If not then you may need to manually create it as you won't be able to use the existing printer that exists for the network connection. With the new printer created see if this will let you print without error.
If this USB connected printer also fails with the same message then try a reset of the printing system. Note that this action will also remove the Pro 9000 from Printers & Scanners so you will have to add it and the MX850 again.
