Printing Web query and related KM document together as PDF (in portal)

Dear Gurus
We are on NW2004s and have portal etc. installed.
Scenario:
We have set Guided procedure in portal where we use a simple web template as iview in association with a single KM document. The KM document is used for entering comments by different users after they have seen the query results. As a last step of the Guided Procedure we would like to create a PDF printout of the related query and the KM document with comments in it. Ideally we would like to print these 2 objects with a single print function and if possible on the same page.
Questions:
-Is there a way to print the Query results iView and the associated KM document with a single Print function?
-Can I Print these 2 objects on the same page?
I can try a work around, to have a document for commenting purpose directly as web item in the template itself. Then use this in the Guided procedures. However from the information i know, there are only limited objects from the web template which are printed to PDF, the rest are just ignored.So I believe that the document with comments would still not be printed (refer to the link).

Print Web report and don't print text but print frames

Hello , I am running a report by web browser, everything is ok and I can see that, now I want to print it so I put DESTYPE = printer and DESNAME =\\machine\printer then, when I print the report there is no mistakes but I dont know why I get a page without any character .. The frames print ok! all print ok but not the text, I test using diferent colors for the text but nothing .. could you help me please? this is really strange :( there is no message of error.

I have a very simple report that works fine
for example if I put this link:

I can see my report in web without any trouble
but when I try to print:

then I received a message of print succesfully but when I see the print
there is no text, it print images, frames, and there is an space where I expect the text but there is no text and no messages of error.

Unable to print from drag and relate

In SAP version 2007 you were able to print from the AR invoice details window in the drag and relate menu. In 8.8 it seems you are no longer able to do this even when logged in as a superuser. Has anyone come across this before please?

Non-printing of maps and other website document printing.

Since an update of Firefox (I don't know which one) I am unable to print maps and other online website documents. The maps comes up onscreen with no difficulty but when I choose "print map" the "print preview" and the actual print is blank. In the past the system printed everything with no difficulty. If I access the Internet with Explorer I can print with no problems.

I think the first course of action would be to try securing with a different authoring program (if you have access to one) and seeing if you have the same problem.
As for the downloading and printing side of it, even with a protected PDF, anyone with the intent and a little knowledge will be able to download it. Or screenshot each page in their viewer.
One way to prevent them getting a usable print is to create a solid annotation field across each page of the document. It will be invisible whilst just being viewed but when printed the annotation field will cover everything, thereby producing a blank page.
Is it fair to ask whether a pdf is the best way of presenting information that you do not want them to download and subsequently print, seeing as that is exactly the reason PDF's exist?

Printing with Bleed and Crop marks from PS to PDF

So, i have created a business card with a .125in bleed all around in photoshop. I know that you can go to File->print->output in photoshop and specify crop marks and the amound of bleed...however, i have saved my business card as a PDF from photoshop. I want to print from the PDF version as i have the plug-in quite imposing 2 for acrobat and use step and repeat. How do i add the crop marks in the right place from Acrobat on the business card?

Do you have Quite Imposing Plus 2 or just Quite Imposing 2?

When I am on a web site and click a link - to a PDF or something else - nothing happens. If I use MS Internet Explorer, this is not a problem. Help.

When I use Firefox and am on a web site, if I click a link on that web site - like to download a PDF - nothing launches to open the file. The screen - after I click - changes to a blank screen, yet nothing appears. When I do this with MS Internet Explorer, the link immediately launches to whatever I clicked upon.
Please help - this is frustrating.

When I scan and save a document as a pdf. It is saved as a huge document. How do I adjust the size of a saved pdf?

I recently purchased a new computer. Now when I scan a document and save it as a pdf document; the size of the file is nearly 10 times the usual size. The size of 2 pages is so large that I can not send as an attachment. How do adjust the size of the pdf document?

Sending e-documents as email attachments is anyway never a good idea; use a file sharing service (Acrobat.com, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, ..) to upload the doc, then send the shared download link via email.

Calling a webi query from xcelsius dashboard

Hi Experts,
I have created an xcelsius dashboard with a URL link to a detailed webi report. I'm using open document to launch the webi query and with 1 parameter value to pass over from xcelsius to webi.
The URL is http<server:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?mode=full&appKind=InfoView&isApplication=true&nbPrompts=1&sIDType=CUID&sRefresh=Y&iDocID=AbgeiGFRMSlGtxcmjJeCRJM&appKind=InfoView&service=%2FOpenDocumentls%lsSProject=$A2.
Cell $A2 contains the value of the project selected by the dashboard user.
This URL does call the correct webi query but the webi query still prompts for the project. The 'Project' prompt in my webi report is set as optional and I have ticked the 'Refresh on open' check-box before saving the webi query.
How and what else do I need to do to by-pass the webi prompt for project?

Place the url in one cell and your passing prompt in another cell.concatenate both the cells and pass that to your url button.
eg:
in cell I6: http://sever:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=wid&iDocID=AaHo4EFB5rhPplDJTrHLM6o&sIDType=CUID&lsSPlant=
in cell D5: 1002
in cell I7: concatenate(I6,D5)

Web Query issues

Hi All,
I have created a web query and assigned it to a role. I have moved the role, web templete and the query from dev to QA was able run the query fine without issues.
The problem I am having is when I make changes to the query and transport it to QA...when I run the query from the role menu it still shows the old query instead of the changed query.
Can someone please explain what are the steps I need to take when I make changes to exsisting web query in dev and move to QA and be able to see the changes. What are all the objects I need to collect. Also would like to know if there are any settings on the role menu or web templete that need to be changed and also any buffers that I need to cleared??

Problem with Broadcasting Web query

I am able to broadcast the web query and I recieve the email in MS Outlook, but the report is unreadable. It has the proper header info (from, to, subject, ...), but the report itself shows up as garbled text ("Q29udGVudC1UeXBlOiBtdWx0aXBhcnQvcmVsYXRlZDsNCiBib3VuZG").
I tried the different output formats in Broadcaster, but no luck. Anyone else experience this?

Check the o/p of the sent mail from tcode SOST. if the o/ format looks fine in SOST, the problem could be on the Mail server (Exchange or Lotus notes).
What version of MS Outlook/ MSExchange server are you using? I have seen issues with MS Exchange 2002>.
