Printing white borders, HP 6520

MY HP 6520 is not connected to the computer...it stands alone.  I use it primarily for printing photos.  I am having a problem trying to set-up white borders around the print.  For some reason I am getting a BLUE border which I want to eliminate.  How do I set up the photo with WHITE borders?  How do I eliminate the BLUE borders?

Hi MP216,
Thank you for the quick response, I truly appreciate it.
I have included a document about Printing the Photos from a Memory Card.  It reviews the different options that are available for printing photos from a memory card.
I'm sorry for the misunderstanding about the originals. I was asking if the blue border showed on the photos loaded onto the memory card. I once took a large number of pictures with my sister's Smartphone at my parent's 50th wedding anniversary and didn't realize I had turned on the decorative settings. The end result was all those photos now have a funky border that can't be taken out. I was asking if the photos you're trying to print already have the blue border on them.

  • How to print a PDF with equal white borders

    Hello,
When I print my flyer the white borders on the top and bottom are unequal. How do I make it so all 4 sides have the same width for the white border? The print preview is unequal too.
    Thanks

    Thank you Michael
My problem is, I need to print the document with the mm items.  I work
in a print & copy shop, we must deal with whatever the customers send
    us.
I actually stumbled around and found I could do it with the MultiMedia
Flash Tool, editing the poster options. It's a tedious process though,
and I'd like to find a way to set this for the whole PDF file at once.
If you know how to do this I'd appreciate the info.
    Thanks again,
    Mark

  • (unwanted) White borders when printing on Epson 3880 in LR5 (not in LR4)

We have a customers who has been printing using LR4 for quite some time.
Since she upgraded to LR5, she has issues that regularly, she get quite large white borders around the edges (seem like the printer is printing to a smaller page size, the photo's are cut off).
When we import the same images, use the same printer, same driver and all same settings in LR5, all works fine.
Anyone had any similar experience ?
    Mavericks 10.9.3, latest Epson 3880 driver, LR5.4 ...
    TIA,
    Bart

Epson support was no help, giving the stock answer about borderless printing and setting margins.
I do not try to print all the way to the edge of my papers. I solved my problem by selecting the appropriate borderless paper size in the Epson driver and then setting the margins I wanted (0.25” on all sides) within Lightroom.

  • Trying to print without white borders

Hello. I have the canon pixima mg 2900 printer im i have 4x6 paper but everytime i try print a picture its prints with white borders. I want to print a full picture with no white borders

I was adjusting the opacity through the effects window/tools....
This is the screen shot from INDESIGN file and how the file is set up..... the effect opacity level was set at 85%
This is how the the hi-res pdf was exporting from InDesign and I have all attributes check and nothing is set to overprint....
and this is what the pdf SHOULD look like.....
****and I had to sit there and mess with this pdf FOREVER.... and how I was finally able to export the pdf properly was by using a different PDF export option...
The printer I use has a set profile that I am suppose to use for the pdfing of the final hi-res pdfs to be uploaded to the press....
But when I went and used the pdf-x-1a option it was fine.
Does any one know which setting in the pdf profile that would have affected the opacity to not carry over???
I am going to email the printer directly to see what they have to say and possibly suggest making the correct adjustments so this does not happen in the future....

  • Pages export on project shows image blurry in pdf and white borders printin

I just completed a newsletter with the header an image create in photoshop and exported as bmp at highest rez.
Its in the pages doc and everything looks great. But i export it to pdf and the header image looks soft and blurrish and not sharp at all. Even the print out looks like that.
Also, i wanted to have the whole a4 size to be covered in the document, but when i print from pdf, i get these white borders and top and bottom cut off.
Any way I can select the document size in pages manually.
    any advice.

.bmp is an inferior Windows format and is not natively supported in OSX. Formats you should use are .tiff, .png, jpeg or .pdf, even straight Photoshop files.
OSX will convert the .bmp to .pdf or .png but I suspect your problem maybe more than that. Have you used transparency, reflections or shadows? because OSX will render those down to 72dpi.
The page size is selected in +File > Page Setup… > where you can also manually add a custom size without borders/margins. Your problem may come however from your printer's printable area.

  • Removing white borders????

My girlfriend did something to her Lightroom so that now all her pictures have white borders on them when output to jpg. In lightroom, they don't have borders on them. Only in the output jpg. Also when she prints it has the border. How does she turn that off?  I have the same program on my PC and it's not doing that mess.

It's 2.7. She was trying to print to a jpg which makes no sense to me but that's how she was taught in a stupid online LR class she took, so I can't tell her any different.  She didn't make this post either, cause she doesn't do anything I tell her, so I hadda do it so she'd quit yappin about it.
She finally did try exporting, but then all her jpgs came out the size of a postage stamp.  So we were getting nowhere.  Then she scrolled down and found she had set resize to fit at some time in that stupid class.  Now it works.  I think the question didn't have an answer because she was doing it wrong.  Or maybe that was the answer.  Thanks.

  • Spry Menu Widget puts white borders around menu items in IE7

I have adjusted the Spry Menu css field to work with images
rather than block style menu items to achieve an aesthetically more
pleasing result. It all works fin in
    Firefox...
When I have a look at the very same page in IE7, I can see
borders or margins drawn around all menu items.
    Like
    so...
Interestingly, when I remove the background image, I still
bet right hand side border/margin on the menu bar, but none for the
    submenu items.
    Like
    so...
I thought first of an IE7 vs. Firefox incompatibility issue,
but then removed the SpryMenu.js from the file and got
    this
    result in IE7...
Of course the menu does not work anymore, but the rendering
is correct in IE7 and FireFox.
Any idea or suggestion, whether I am looking at a
compatibility issue or a bug in SpryMenu.js? More important, any
suggestions to make the page behave in IE7 just as in Firefox? Any
    suggestion is welcome.
    Cheers

It appears to be a bug in the SpryMenuBar.js v0.12 after all.
I found an acceptable solution by commenting out line 163
    changing
    this.addClassName(items

    to

  • White Borders Around the Left and Right Edge of a Published Movie

Does anyone know how to get rid of the white borders that are around the left and right edge of a published movie? It looks like they are about a 1 pixel border. I have the "show borders" unchecked in the themes options.
    Any help would be appreciated.

You need to add some CSS code into the HEAD area of you HTML publishing template to remove the default HTML margin.
    <style>{margin:0px;}</style>

  • I'm getting Big white borders on the sides of my background, how to fix

I've created my first page for my website I've centered it but theres still two big white borders on either side of the page,If anyone knows how to get rid of it,i've been trying for the past two hours,It would be greatly appreciated

OK, it sounds like you're describing an issue with how the web page looks in a web browser, not in Fireworks, after it's been exported as HTML, using either the ‘HTML and Images’ or ‘CSS and Images’ options.
Although you've already taken care of the centering issue, it looks like you could have set the alignment of the page from within the HTML Setup dialog:
Within this same dialog, there's a field for ‘Background’ but this refers to a background image. To change the background color of the page to something other than white, I'd try setting the Canvas color within Fireworks. If that doesn't work, then I'd set the background color of the <body> tag within either your CSS or HTML files (using the background-color property).

  • Printing white on transparent backgrounds-shapes and letters

Why on transparent backgrounds do white shapes or letters not print white?  I have a circle and wanted white circle with black letters.  I even tried a black circle with white letters, but the letters printed transparent.  I need to know how to properly use white.  I have tried in Photoshop Elements and Photoshop.  thanks.

To add to this -  In photoshop when printing is normally cmyk which would mean to have white is the lack of all four colors hence transparent.
Normally to print white with a service for example, you would use the pantone color white, this would tell the service to use the ink white when printing the greyscale image. With pantone, each color would get it own greyscale image from opaque color to transparent. The printer would then print each color one at a time on same piece of paper. When the greyscales are combined you get a blended color image. Since this is usually quite expensive, only a few colors are used during this process.
Whereas cmyk printers can have all four colors in the printer making it a fairly cheap alternative. Where white would be the paper hence the transparency again.
As for private printers that can print white, I never used one and therefore must let someone else explain how those work.

  • White borders on images

Is it possible to remove the white borders that appear on all my import and export images?
The white interferes with what I am reviewing in folders on my desktop and in Aperture. Would
rather have just a solid neutral color around them. Thank you.

    Yuga,
Welcome to the user-supported Aperture forum.
Is it possible to remove the white borders that appear on all my import and export images?
"Import" and "export"? Do you mean that your images start with a particular white border before you import them into Aperture, and you would like to make a modification to your image so that you don't see those borders? Somehow I don't think that's quite what you are asking, but I have never seen white borders while running Aperture except for the "selection" border.
You can perform a crop to get rid of a part of the image that "borders" what you want, but again, I'm not sure that's what you mean. Can you maybe post a picture somewhere for the forum to see precisely what you mean?
Would rather have just a solid neutral color around them.
Aperture will not replace your white border with anything -- you can crop it away, though.

  • White borders around Firefox entry boxes

Hi. I'm trying to fix / work around a quirky cosmetic bug that occurs in Firefox (OpenOffice, too) with Murrine SVN and, unfortunately, other GTK engines. There are white borders around entry boxes, that disappear if I mouse-over them, but reappear when I do, well, anything. I was going to work around it by theming the entry boxes with Clearlooks instead of Murrine, but it suffers from the same problem (it's more glaring there, actually). Standard Murrine from community, and Murrine from Ubuntu (aur package) do not suffer from this problem, but unfortunately, it cannot co-exist with Murrine SVN.
Here's a screenshot of the problem in question:
How would you suggest I work around, or preferably, fix this problem?

  • White borders around photos with IOS7

Since updating to IOS7, why do my photos have white borders around them even in landscape? I have looked in settings and anywhere I can think of and can not fined a way to get rid of it. This has to be something that I am overlooking. Any help is appreciated!
It doesn't matter if the picture is taken in portrait or landscape, it has a thick white border around the picture.

No, the white borders do not appear in iWeb. As far as the browser, sometimes I can export the site and it renders fine, other times the white borders appear.
Like I said before, the graphics with the borders aren't consistent. Different fraphics have the white border if I re-publish the site to a folder.
Please note... unlike other questions posted in this topic, my white lines do not disappear when the page is loaded. They stay there... and ONLY on the index page.

  • White Bordered Text Frame

Of three text frames in my document, after PDF export, one is showing a thin white border at the frame boundary.
Not sure if that is the cause, but I noticed a + sign next to my text frame style label. Would like to get rid of that.
Would you please show me how to get rid of the white border.

    Seems unlikely, but OK.

  • White Borders Appearing (Captivate 6)

I am receiving feedback from testers that white borders are appearing in the project window.
This usually happens when navigating to a page, and then clicking a button that leads to another screen. Upon arriving at this new screen, a white border will appear at the bottom, the right side of the screen, or both. Sometimes borders appear just by clicking around the screen, inside the project window.
I'm not able to reproduce this reliably- sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, which is why I'm not sure why this is happening.
The background and media should match the project size. I have borders turned off in the skin editor.
This is published as a flash file, scalable.

Including an example screenshot of the amound of white space left around the bottom and right side of the project.
